VentureIsrael Appoints Evgenia Zaslavskaya as Venture Partner

TEL AVIV-YAFO, Israel, Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- VentureIsrael, an Israeli venture capital fund investing in early-stage deep tech companies, announced the appointment of Evgenia Zaslavskaya as Venture Partner to lead international communications for the fund and serve as a communications resource for its portfolio companies.

Evgenia is a PR professional with more than 15 years of experience, and the founder and CEO of Zecomms, an international communications agency that works with tech companies and investment funds in the US, the UK, Europe, and the MENA region. In 2025, she was named Best Leader in Public Relations and Communications at the Davos Communications Awards.

Zaslavskaya has been managing VentureIsrael's public and media relations since 2022. The new appointment expands this collaboration and brings her directly into the fund's venture partner team.

"We've worked with Evgenia and her team for several years now and have seen first-hand how much strategic communications shape the way the market perceives a fund and the companies it backs. Bringing her into the venture partner team is a natural next step for us: we want this expertise inside the fund, available to every founder we support from day one. Evgenia understands both the venture market and Israeli deep tech, and that combination is exactly what we need right now to grow further," said Rafael Gold, Managing Partner at VentureIsrael.

Zaslavskaya's new role covers strategic communications for VentureIsrael. She'll make the fund's strategy, track record, and expertise visible to investors, partners, and customers in the US, the UK, and other key international markets. Her work will include positioning the fund in global markets, building relationships with business and tech media, growing the partners' public profiles, and shaping the news narrative around VentureIsrael and its portfolio. Founders in the portfolio will have access to the same expertise for their own technology, teams, and traction.

"Israel has a vibrant tech market with many products worth talking about, and I want to bring more of them to a global audience. Partnering with VentureIsrael—a firm I've worked with for many years, and one that has backed some of the country's most interesting deep-tech companies—is a natural place to do that," Zaslavskaya added.

About VentureIsrael

VentureIsrael invests in early-stage Israeli technology companies across AI, cybersecurity, space, quantum technologies, and other deep-tech segments. The fund is ranked the third most active venture capital investor in Israel. Its portfolio today includes more than 30 technology companies, and the team has completed 50+ investments and 10+ exits—both through the fund and in the partners' earlier investment activity.

About Zecomms

Biophysical Therapeutics brings longevity science to skincare with its new IF1 brand

From equations and experiments in the laboratory to exclusive skincare for skin longevity

WILMINGTON, Del., Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Biophysical Therapeutics, a Delaware company, announces the launch of its consumer longevity brand called IF1.

It is currently accepting pre-orders for its first product, an anti-aging skin moisturizer available at www.IF1.skin. Only 500 units are available in the initial production run, retailing at $120 apiece.

This moisturizer is distinctive in incorporating leading-edge longevity science, and is further distinct, since the profit from its sales will feed back to fund the company's drug programs, which include drugs against cancer, age-related diseases (such as Alzheimer's disease), and aging itself.

The company was founded in 2022 by Dr. Michael Forrest, a Cambridge University biochemistry graduate with a Ph.D. in computer science, and is advised by Professor George Church of Harvard Medical School. Its specialty is computational biology and especially biophysical modeling, which is mathematical modeling of the physics and chemistry of a biological system, and the company is named after this approach. Unusually for a computational biology company, it has actually delivered new experimentally-validated drugs working as predicted in vivo, protected by granted patents.

The science behind the company's new anti-aging skin moisturizer is its conclusion regarding why different mammal species can have such different lifespans, for example, a mouse maximally lives 4 years whereas a bowhead whale can live centuries longer. This conclusion is complex but it distills to simplicity - species with more IF1 protein live longer. Indeed, the company has shown that increasing IF1 protein in mice reduces aging as measured by an aging biomarker.

People already buy anti-aging skincare. Indeed, it is already a $70B market and growing. This bodes well for this new brand that leverages differentiated anti-aging science from leading anti-aging scientists, which will in turn fund them to advance science and medicine. Economists calculate that the economic benefit of slower aging, to the USA alone, is $38T per year of increased life expectancy.

Dr. Forrest says: "Our IF1 brand brings leading-edge anti-aging science to skincare. This is just part of our mission to save, improve, and extend lives at mass scale."

The IF1 anti-aging skin moisturizer is available for pre-order now exclusively at www.IF1.skin.

Astellas Doses First Patient in Phase 3 Study of setidegrasib in Previously Treated KRAS G12D-Mutated Advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer
Image File
Original HTML

- Study evaluates novel, investigational KRAS G12D-targeted protein degrader setidegrasib versus docetaxel in previously treated patients with advanced NSCLC -

- Milestone marks second Phase 3 study of setidegrasib initiated within six months -

TOKYO, Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Astellas Pharma Inc. (TSE: 4503, President and CEO: Naoki Okamura, "Astellas") today announced that the first patient has been dosed in a Phase 3 study evaluating setidegrasib, a novel, investigational KRAS G12D-targeted protein degrader, versus docetaxel in people with KRAS G12D-mutated locally advanced (unresectable) or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) whose disease has progressed on or after initial platinum-based chemotherapy and checkpoint inhibitor therapy (CPI).1

Lung cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer and the leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide, with NSCLC accounting for approximately 80% of cases.2,3 Around 5% of people with NSCLC have a KRAS G12D mutation.4 Despite advances in targeted treatment for other molecularly defined forms of NSCLC, there are currently no therapies approved specifically for people with KRAS G12D-mutated NSCLC.3,5 Patients whose disease progresses on or after initial treatment currently rely on standard systemic options, such as chemotherapy.5

Setidegrasib is an investigational targeted protein degrader designed to degrade and eliminate the disease-driving KRAS G12D protein. By removing this protein, setidegrasib may help disrupt cancer cell signaling and destroy cancer cells.4 This Phase 3 study in previously treated NSCLC builds on early clinical evidence published in The New England Journal of Medicine in March 2026, which demonstrated antitumor activity and a manageable safety profile in patients with KRAS G12D-mutated solid tumors, supporting the proposed mechanism of action of setidegrasib.4

Hidenori Kitai, M.D., Ph.D., Department of Respiratory Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Hokkaido University, Japan:

"For too long, patients with KRAS G12D-mutated non-small cell lung cancer have had limited treatment options after standard therapies. This Phase 3 study represents an important step forward for the field, helping to build the evidence needed to understand whether setidegrasib could offer a potential new approach for this molecularly defined patient population."

Tadaaki Taniguchi, M.D., Ph.D., Chief Research and Development Officer, Astellas:

"The initiation of this Phase 3 study in NSCLC, our second Phase 3 study of setidegrasib within six months, reflects continued progress in its clinical development. This study will help us understand how setidegrasib's novel approach to degrading disease-driving KRAS G12D may help address unmet needs for patients with this type of NSCLC. We are grateful to the patients, investigators and study teams making this research possible."

Setidegrasib is Astellas' lead investigational targeted protein degrader. Initiation of the Phase 3 study in previously treated patients with NSCLC supports Astellas' Corporate Strategic Plan, with an ambition to initiate five or more Phase 3 or pivotal studies by fiscal year 2027. It follows the initiation of a Phase 3 study of setidegrasib in front-line pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) in April 2026.6

To further inform the scientific understanding of setidegrasib and KRAS G12D-driven disease biology, Astellas will also present translational analyses from the Phase 1 study of setidegrasib in patients with KRAS G12D-mutated PDAC at the upcoming AACR Conference on Pancreatic Cancer, September 25–28, 2026.7,8 The analyses will provide further insight into mechanisms of response, resistance and potential rational combination approaches in pancreatic cancer. The findings will be featured in both a proffered oral presentation and a poster presentation.*

* Presentation details at AACR Conference on Pancreatic Cancer

Title: Integrated translational analyses of the first-generation KRAS G12D degrader setidegrasib identify mechanisms of response and resistance and offer rational combination strategies

Details: Poster Presentation: Poster Number: B040, Date: September 27, 2026, 5:00–7:00 p.m. PT; Oral Presentation (short talk from proffered abstract): Abstract Number: PR014 B040, Date: September 28, 2026, 9:42 a.m. PT.

About the Phase 3 NSCLC Study1

The randomized, open-label Phase 3 study is evaluating setidegrasib compared with docetaxel in people with KRAS G12D-mutated locally advanced (unresectable) or metastatic NSCLC whose disease has progressed on or after platinum-based chemotherapy and checkpoint inhibitor therapy (CPI). The dual primary endpoints are progression-free survival (PFS), assessed by blinded independent central review, and overall survival (OS). Astellas plans to enroll approximately 356 patients across multiple countries into the study.

About setidegrasib4,9,10

Setidegrasib is a novel, investigational targeted protein degrader designed to degrade and eliminate the disease-driving KRAS G12D protein. By removing this protein, setidegrasib may help disrupt cancer cell signaling and destroy cancer cells. Discovered and advanced through Astellas' in-house R&D capabilities, setidegrasib is designed to work with the cancer cell's own protein degradation machinery to bring together the KRAS G12D protein and an E3 ligase. This triggers selective degradation of the disease-driving protein, providing a distinct approach to targeting this cancer-driving mutation.

For more information on the Phase 3 study of setidegrasib in previously treated NSCLC, visit ClinicalTrials.gov and search for identifier NCT07566052. For more information about the Phase 3 study of setidegrasib in front-line PDAC, visit ClinicalTrials.gov and search for identifier NCT07409272.

The safety and efficacy of setidegrasib have not been established for the uses being considered. There is no guarantee that setidegrasib will receive regulatory approval and become commercially available for the uses being investigated.

HDB INVESTOR DEADLINE: HDFC Bank Limited Investors with Substantial Losses Have Opportunity to Lead the HDFC Shareholder Class Action Lawsuit Before October 13, 2023

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Hagens Berman, a national law firm noted for its preeminent work in securities class action litigation, notifies investors in HDFC Bank Limited (NYSE: HDB) of a pending securities fraud class action.

- Class Period: July 17, 2023 – May 26, 2026

- Lead Plaintiff Deadline: Oct. 13, 2026

HDFC Bank Limited (HDB) Securities Class Action Overview:

The lawsuit filed against HDFC Bank Limited ("HDFC" or the "Company"), and certain top executive officers including Chief Executive Officer Sashidhar Jagdishan and Chief Financial Officer Srinivasan Vaidyanathan, alleges violations of the federal securities laws.

Specifically, the action centers on HDFC's failure to disclose key material adverse facts regarding its business operations, financial accounting, and regulatory compliance:

- Camouflaged Marketing Payments & Covert Deposit Inducements: HDFC secretly funneled approximately Rs 45 crore (approx. $4.7 million USD) to the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation ("MSRDC") to induce the state firm to place large deposits with the bank.

- Disguised Above-Market Interest Rates: To circumvent regulations and provide MSRDC with a 6.01% interest rate (a 2.51% markup over standard retail savings accounts), senior management devised a scheme to route the differential payments through the marketing department disguised as sponsorship contributions for a road safety awareness campaign.

- Governance and Regulatory Breaches: These covert practices violated the Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) Master Directions on interest rates and breached the bank's own internal anti-bribery and anti-corruption policies prohibiting improper inducements.

- Overstated Financials: As a result of these hidden activities, HDFC's interest income and operating expenses were overstated during the class period, rendering the Company's positive public statements and financial controls false and misleading.

Truth Begins to Unravel & Stock Price Declines:

The fraudulent scheme allegedly began to surface in stages, causing sharp drops in the market value of HDFC American Depositary Shares (ADS):

- March 18, 2026: HDFC announced the abrupt resignation of part-time Chairman and Independent Director Atanu Chakraborty, whose resignation letter stated that happenings and practices within the bank over the prior two years were "not in congruence with my personal Values and Ethics." On this news, HDFC ADS prices fell 7.28% on heavy volume.

- May 27, 2026: The Indian Express published an investigative report exposing that HDFC "camouflaged crores as marketing spend" to pay higher interest to MSRDC, revealing an internal vigilance probe implicating CEO Sashidhar Jagdishan and other top leadership. Following this disclosure, HDFC ADS fell 4.1% to close at $23.78 per share.

Hagens Berman's Investigation

"We're focused on whether HDFC's senior leadership concealed a covert scheme to funnel millions in disguised payments to induce state-firm deposits while publicly painting a picture of strong governance and compliance, as the complaint alleges," said Reed Kathrein, the Hagens Berman partner leading the firm's investigation of the pending claims in the suit.

Novaclad Launches AI-LiDAR Measurement Engine for the Building Trades, Starting With a Free App That Measures a Kitchen in Five Minutes
Image File

Built inside a working stone shop, it is the first product of the Fabrication Cloud — homeowners to local fabricators, measured and priced before anyone visits

ST. LOUIS, Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Novaclad today released the first consumer product built on its AI-LiDAR measurement engine: a free iOS app that lets a homeowner measure their kitchen with an iPhone, price a countertop from a real catalog, and hand the job to a local fabricator in about five minutes. It is the first of its kind and the first piece of the company's Fabrication Cloud.

Custom fabrication — countertops, cabinetry, tile, millwork — is a large corner of residential construction still run on tape measures and quotes that arrive days later as one number. Novaclad's engine captures a room in three dimensions with the iPhone's LiDAR sensor, then applies a model trained on how a working shop reads a kitchen to produce a fabrication-grade takeoff and an itemized price from the shop's own price book. The fabricator receives a lead already measured and specified.

The engine was not built in a software lab. Co-founders Ryan and Audrey Brown left corporate careers in 2022 to buy Rock Creek Granite, an Imperial, Missouri, shop cutting stone since 2013 — and built Novaclad on its floor.

"We saw automation coming for the industries we came from and asked where it was needed and nobody was looking," said Ryan Brown. "Fabrication has a material-waste problem and a measurement problem. Both are software problems now."

"We didn't automate the craftsman," said Audrey Brown. "We automated the two weeks of waiting in front of him. The saw still happens. What's gone is the guesswork."

Novaclad launches in St. Louis with Rock Creek Granite as founding fabricator and places one fabricator per market through its Founder-Partner program. Countertops are the first surface; the engine is built to extend to other fabricated finishes.

The app is free; homeowners pay their fabricator for the work. It requires an iPhone 12 Pro or newer Pro model on iOS 17 or later: novaclad.com/app.
