Hilton Becomes First Major Hotel Brand to Offer Digital Solution to Pay with Points

- Pay with Points is a new Hilton Honors benefit that allows members to use Hilton Honors Points toward eligible hotel charges during Digital Check Out in the Hilton Honors App.

- Pay with Points is available to Hilton Honors members with Silver, Gold, Diamond or Diamond Reserve status at participating hotels in the U.S.

- Hilton is the first major hotel brand to offer Pay with Points through a fully digital check out experience with no front desk visit required.

McLEAN, Va. – Hilton today launched Pay with Points, becoming the first major hotel brand to give members the opportunity to use loyalty Points toward their bill through a fully digital check out experience. The new Hilton Honors benefit enables members with Silver, Gold, Diamond or Diamond Reserve status to apply Points toward eligible hotel charges during Digital Check Out in the Hilton Honors App.

Pay with Points was created in direct response to Hilton Honors member feedback. According to recent Hilton research, 70% of Hilton Honors members surveyed are interested in using Points toward on-property purchases, and approximately half said the capability could make them more likely to stay or book with Hilton. Pay with Points brings flexibility into the digital stay experience, giving Hilton Honors members the ability to put their Points to work even before they leave the hotel.

Unlike comparable offerings that require front desk assistance, Pay with Points is completed by the guest, digitally, within the Hilton Honors App while at the hotel or on-the-go. During Digital Check Out, elite status members can now, for the first time, review their folio, choose from available Point redemption options and apply Points toward eligible charges.

“Loyalty is personal, and every Point a member earns represents a choice they made to stay with us,” said Brad Anderson, vice president, Hilton Honors Program. “Our Hilton Honors members have told us they want more flexibility when it comes to using those Points. They can already redeem them for free night stays or money-can’t-buy experiences around the world. Pay with Points introduces another digitally-enabled tool to our members, reducing the friction of travel and providing them with the choice and control that they value.”

Enabled by Hilton’s customized technology platform, Pay with Points is the latest example of how the company is bringing differentiated digital experiences to members faster and at scale, giving them greater flexibility and control throughout their journey. Pay with Points builds on Hilton’s continued investment in digital tools that put members in control of their stay, including Digital Check In, Digital Key and Choose Your Room. With Points redemption now part of Digital Check Out in the Hilton Honors App, Hilton is making it easier for members to manage their stay experience from check in to check out.

Pay with Points is available now at 150 participating hotels in the U.S., reflecting Hilton’s test-and-learn approach to evolving its digital experience. The benefit is expected to expand to more than 800 hotels by the end of 2026, followed by a full rollout to more than 6,000 participating properties in the U.S. and Canada in early 2027. Availability and eligible redemption options may vary by property.

- New Hilton for Business program update introduces the ability to book for someone else within their organization

- The customer-informed enhancements give businesses more flexibility when managing employee travel

- The program updates mark another step forward in Hilton’s efforts to deliver smarter, more intuitive digital solutions that simplify travel planning while creating a more connected experience for businesses and their travelers

MCLEAN, Va. – Today, Hilton announced a series of new travel coordinator tools and program enhancements to Hilton for Business, its free global travel program designed for small and medium-sized companies (SMBs). Built around direct feedback from current members, the new capabilities give SMBs more flexibility, control and visibility as they manage travel for their teams.

Since the launch of Hilton for Business, Hilton has continuously gathered input from its over 400,000 members through internal customer studies, traveler research and competitive program analysis. The feedback secured pointed to a clear set of needs: customers who arrange travel for their teams want tools built for that role, businesses want more flexibility over who can book and for whom, and leaders want clearer visibility into employee travel. The new travel coordinator tools and program enhancements were developed in response to each of these opportunities.

"At Hilton, we listen loudly to our customers and Hilton for Business members have been clear about what would make the program work even harder for them,” said Frank Passanante, senior vice president, global head of sales and HRCC, Hilton. “These news tools are a direct result of that feedback, especially the ability to book on behalf of someone else, which was the most requested capability. Our teams are acting quickly to deliver a full set of enhancements that provide a better digital experience and make managing business travel simpler for those who do it every day.”

What’s New

Now available through Hilton for Business, program owners and administrators can book, modify and manage hotel reservations on behalf of travelers within their organization, helping businesses streamline travel planning while providing greater flexibility and oversight. This new digital capability brings together core elements of trip planning into one single, end-to-end experience that provides greater flexibility and oversight of employee travel within an organization. The new capabilities enable owners and administrators to:

- Book on behalf of travelers: Reserve stays for employees across their organization without needing separate logins or workarounds.

- View shared reservations: See upcoming reservations for their team in one place.

- Manage changes and cancellations: Modify or cancel reservations as plans shift, without having to rely on the traveler to make updates.

- See who’s on property: Gain visibility into employees’ current in-house stays, supporting duty of care while travelers are on the road.

Extending beyond the point of booking, business owners and administrators are now able to support travelers throughout the lifecycle of a trip, reducing the time spent managing travel while giving companies greater oversight of employee trips.

In the Months Ahead

As Hilton continues to invest in a series of digital solutions that simplify travel planning and create a more connected experience for businesses and their travelers, future enhancements will introduce:

- Booking for travelers outside the program: Authorized users will be able to manage reservations for members and non-members of an organization’s Hilton for Business account.

- Additional travel coordinator and travel administrator functionality: New roles and capabilities that let businesses designate who manages travel without requiring owner-level access.

- An enhanced program dashboard: More visibility into employee Points earning and distributions and spend and booking activity, helping company owners and administrators manage budgets and make travel management easier.

Streamlining Business Travel Planning

Hilton for Business offers SMBs a comprehensive set of tools to enhance the business travel booking and management experience with no minimum spend required. Through the global travel program, members around the world receive Hilton Honors benefits, portfolio-wide discounts, travel rewards, rapid onboarding, program management and more.

The addition of this new offering marks another step forward in Hilton’s efforts to make travel management easier for businesses of all sizes.

- The brand is expanding and investing in its airport hotel portfolio, including recent openings such as Hilton Istanbul Airport and Hilton Guangzhou Baiyun Airport and a $50 million renovation of Hilton Los Angeles Airport.

In fact, 67% of travelers say they like to plan trips that allow them to experience a lot in a short amount of time, while 63% prefer to stay somewhere central with plenty to do nearby.

"Hilton’s flagship brand has always been defined by innovative firsts, and the airport hotel remains a cornerstone for us," said Leonard Gooz, global brand leader, Hilton Hotels & Resorts. "Today’s travelers expect our airport properties to deliver the same world-class hospitality and destination-driven dining for which Hilton Hotels & Resorts is known, and we continue to bring that vision to life through significant renovations at major aviation hubs and new openings in key global markets.”

A New Altitude for Airport Hospitality

What defines the brand’s approach to airport hospitality today is its commitment to creating hotels valued for more than convenience, with elevated amenities ranging from rooftop pools and world-class fitness centers to authentic local dining and restorative spas. In Geneva, Hilton Geneva Hotel & Conference Centre exemplifies this evolution. Located steps from Geneva International Airport and just ten minutes from the city center, the hotel is Hilton’s largest property in Switzerland, offering 486 guest rooms and suites alongside 22 meeting spaces spanning over 59,000 square feet. Similarly, Hilton Amsterdam Airport Schiphol demonstrates how airport hotels can serve as destinations in their own right. Directly connected to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, the hotel is recognized for its striking cubic architecture and expansive glazed atrium that fills the property with natural light. Beyond its convenient location, the hotel offers 27 flexible meeting spaces and serves as a vibrant gathering place for conference attendees, business travelers and leisure guests alike. MADRID, Spain – Hilton today announces the opening of Casa Verbena Madrid, Outset Collection by Hilton, an intimate 45-room hotel on Calle de Preciados in the heart of the capital. With interiors by Madrid-born designer Lorenzo Castillo, views across the city’s rooftops and a traditional Madrileño breakfast each morning, guests are invited to experience a stay inspired by the rhythm of the city’s streets and the hearts of the people who live there.

Casa Verbena Madrid takes its name from the traditional Spanish verbena: a lively neighbourhood celebration that brings people together through food, music and shared traditions. The hotel also draws on costumbrismo, the Spanish artistic tradition of depicting local customs, characters and daily rituals, looking beyond the capital’s landmarks to the cafés, streets and squares that shape life for Madrileños.

David Kelly, senior vice president, Continental Europe, Hilton, said, “Madrid is a special destination for Hilton, and in recent years we’ve broadened our presence in the city with distinctive brands and properties designed to meet different traveller needs. Casa Verbena Madrid builds on that story as the European debut of Outset Collection by Hilton. Full of character and with a strong sense of place, the hotel reflects the creativity and energy of Madrid. We’re delighted to welcome the hotel to our growing portfolio of collection properties across Europe.”

Inside Casa Verbena Madrid

The hotel’s interiors reflect a distinctly local perspective on the city. Costumbrismo-inspired artwork, warm materials, fluted glass, brass finishes and layered textures reference Madrid’s architectural and cultural heritage in a contemporary way.

Bottom: Terrace (L) & Terrace Seating (R)

Many guest rooms look onto Preciados street and its typical Madrid façades, while Preciados Rooms open onto terraces with views across the city’s rooftops and towards the Royal Palace.

Each morning, guests can begin the day in the plush emerald dining room with a Madrileño breakfast featuring churros inspired by the capital’s historic churrería culture, pan con tomate with Iberian ham, Spanish tortilla, locally roasted coffee and freshly squeezed juice.

A Local Guide to the Capital

Helping guests discover the city’s local soul, Casa Verbena has worked with a local artist to create a seasonal illustrated insider’s guide to the capital. Available for guests, “Our Madrid” shares recommendations for cafés, shops, bars and neighbourhood addresses loved by locals.

Álvaro Mazaheri, managing director, Arte Hoteles, said, “Casa Verbena Madrid offers a fresh perspective on the capital, whether guests are discovering it for the first time or returning to experience it differently. From a breakfast inspired by local favourites to recommendations we would share with friends, we want each stay to reveal more of the Madrid that lies beyond its best-known sights.”

“Casa Verbena Madrid represents the essence of Outset Collection, offering guests a stay that feels deeply connected to the destination,” said Elizabeth Scruggs, brand leader, Outset Collection by Hilton. “As our first hotel in Europe, it sets the tone for how we envision the collection growing around the world: through independent hotels with compelling stories, strong local identities and a genuine sense of discovery. With more than 100 hotels under development globally, we are building a collection of individual hotels that invite travellers to experience a destination through a more personal lens, all with the benefits of Hilton.”

As part of Outset Collection, guests at Casa Verbena Madrid can also access Hilton Honors, Hilton’s award-winning guest loyalty programme. Members will be able to book, earn and redeem Hilton Honors Points for stays through Hilton’s direct channels and enjoy the Hilton Honors benefits they know and love.
