Veteran-owned elite cybersecurity team expands A-LIGN's ability to help organizations move beyond compliance and stay ahead of real-world attackers

TAMPA, Fla., Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- A-LIGN, the leading cybersecurity compliance company, today announced its acquisition of Pathfynder, a specialized offensive and defensive cybersecurity firm. The acquisition expands A-LIGN's service offerings for enterprises looking to strengthen their security posture and reduce the risk of cyberattacks.

The acquisition comes as enterprises face an increasingly costly, fast-moving, and AI-accelerated threat landscape. As attackers grow more sophisticated and persistent, compliance alone is no longer enough. Countering AI-enabled attacks takes both skilled people and advanced technology working together, and organizations need to know if their defenses can hold up against real adversaries.

Pathfynder, a veteran-owned company, employs a team of elite specialists with decades of cybersecurity, military, and intelligence community experience. They provide technical offensive and defensive cybersecurity services including network, cloud, and web application penetration testing, red team and adversary emulation, testing of complex and emerging capabilities, and forensics and incident response.

"Since our inception, A-LIGN has believed in the power of combined compliance and technical cybersecurity services under one roof," said Scott Price, CEO of A-LIGN. "The acquisition of Pathfynder enables A-LIGN to offer customers advanced offensive security services delivered by a team that operates independently from our assurance and assessment practice while leveraging institutional knowledge of the customer to enhance the cybersecurity services.

Pathfynder will remain a highly experienced and specialized team under the A-LIGN parent brand, maintaining its brand as Pathfynder by A-LIGN. This structure preserves the independence between A-LIGN's assurance and assessment teams and Pathfynder's penetration testers to protect the integrity of both functions.

For A-LIGN's more than 6,400 existing customers, it also means access to advanced, real-world security testing from a trusted partner, without the friction of managing another vendor relationship.

"We are excited to join the A-LIGN team and bring our trusted expertise and proven capabilities to their existing suite of services," said DJ Fuller, founder of Pathfynder. "We share the same core values and mission: helping companies close security gaps and meet regulatory requirements, so they can reduce the risk of financial and reputational damage from a cyberattack."

The article explains how to identify common warning signs early and why timely inspection matters after severe weather.

BATON ROUGE, La., Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- What are the most common signs you need roof repair after a storm? HelloNation has published an article that provides clear answers, featuring insights from Roofing Expert Greg English of Red Stick Roofing in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Greg English, Owner

The HelloNation article explains that roof damage after a storm is not always easy to spot from the ground, yet it can lead to serious problems if left unchecked. Wind, rain, and debris can weaken roofing materials, making early detection critical. In areas prone to Baton Rouge roof damage, recognizing warning signs quickly can help prevent long-term structural issues and costly repairs.

One of the most common indicators discussed is missing shingles. High winds often cause shingles to be missing or cracked, curled, or loose. The article notes that missing shingles expose the underlying roof to moisture, increasing the risk of leaks. Even when shingles appear intact, subtle lifting can still signal roof damage after a storm that requires attention.

The article also highlights how discoloration can point to problems. Dark patches or uneven coloring may indicate trapped moisture or worn protective granules. Over time, heavy rain can cause roof damage and weaken the roof's surface. Inside the home, water stains on ceilings are often among the first visible signs that damage has progressed beyond the exterior.

Another key issue covered is debris buildup in roof conditions. After storms, debris buildup in roof areas such as valleys and gutters can trap water and block proper drainage. The article explains that debris buildup on the roof can quietly lead to moisture intrusion, especially when combined with heavy rain and roof damage. Clearing debris is an important step in maintaining roof health after severe weather.

The HelloNation article further describes how water intrusion may develop gradually. Signs such as damp insulation, musty odors, or faint dripping sounds can indicate hidden leaks. These issues are often linked to worn flashing or aging sealants that fail during heavy rain or roof damage events. In the article, Roofing Expert Greg English emphasizes that these subtle signs should not be overlooked.

In regions like Baton Rouge, strong storms can cause roof damage without obvious external evidence. The article notes that uneven rooflines or slightly lifted shingles may indicate underlying structural issues. This makes a roof inspection after storm events especially important, even when damage is not immediately visible.

The article stresses that a roof inspection after storm conditions can identify both visible and hidden issues. While homeowners can perform a basic visual check, a professional roof inspection after storm damage is more likely to uncover deeper concerns, such as compromised underlayment. Early detection of roof damage after a storm helps reduce the risk of more extensive repairs later.

In addition, the article explains that combining regular maintenance with timely inspections helps homeowners stay ahead of the risks of Baton Rouge roof damage. By watching for missing shingles, clearing debris buildup in roof areas, and monitoring for water stains on ceiling surfaces, homeowners can take practical steps to protect their property.

The article concludes that understanding the signs of roof damage after a storm allows homeowners to act quickly and confidently. With proper awareness and a proactive approach, it becomes easier to manage roof damage from heavy rain and maintain the home's long-term integrity.

The article explains how flexible pumping solutions help parents balance breastfeeding with changing daily routines.

EMMAUS, Pa., Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- What is the best breast pump for a busy schedule? A HelloNation article features insights from Breast Pump Expert Patty Gatter of The Breastfeeding Shop in Emmaus, Pennsylvania, explaining how choosing a breast pump that fits changing routines can make breastfeeding easier to manage.

Patty Gatter - CEO & Founder - The Breastfeeding Shop

The article explains that becoming a parent often means adjusting to schedules that change from one day to the next. Meetings may run late, errands take longer than expected, and childcare responsibilities can interrupt carefully planned routines. Choosing a breast pump that supports flexibility instead of adding extra demands can help parents continue breastfeeding while balancing work, family responsibilities, and everyday life.

According to the article, a flexible breast pump is designed to fit into a variety of routines rather than requiring parents to stop everything for each pumping session. Whether pumping while working from home, during breaks at the office, or between appointments, equipment that adapts to changing schedules helps reduce stress and supports a more consistent breastfeeding routine.

The article also highlights the convenience of a wearable breast pump. Unlike traditional systems that often require parents to remain seated near an outlet, wearable options fit inside a nursing bra and provide greater freedom of movement. Parents may be able to answer emails, complete household tasks, prepare simple meals, or care for their baby while pumping, making it easier to use available time efficiently.

Portability is another important feature discussed in the article. A portable breast pump can be especially helpful for parents who commute, travel regularly, or spend much of the day away from home. Lightweight designs that fit easily into a diaper bag, work bag, or backpack make it easier to stay consistent with pumping regardless of where the day leads.

The article emphasizes that comfort should remain a priority when selecting a breast pump. Adjustable suction settings, proper flange sizing, and an easy-to-use design all contribute to a better pumping experience. Comfortable equipment often encourages more consistent pumping, which may better support ongoing breastfeeding goals.

Battery life and noise level are also important considerations covered in the article. Rechargeable batteries that last through multiple pumping sessions reduce the need for frequent charging, while quieter operation can provide additional privacy in workplaces and other shared environments. These practical features often become more valuable as parents settle into their daily routines.

Cleaning and maintenance are equally important. The article explains that wearable breast pumps and portable breast pumps with fewer individual parts may reduce the time spent washing and reassembling equipment after each use. Those small conveniences can make pumping feel more manageable for parents with demanding schedules.

The article also encourages parents to think about their long-term needs instead of focusing only on the first weeks after birth. Family routines often change as babies grow, work responsibilities evolve, and childcare arrangements develop. Choosing a breast pump that continues meeting those changing needs can provide lasting value throughout the breastfeeding journey.

The article concludes that there is no single breast pump that is right for every parent. Some families prioritize portability, while others place greater importance on comfort, quiet operation, or wearable convenience. Carefully considering personal routines, pumping frequency, and daily responsibilities helps narrow the available options and makes choosing a breast pump feel less overwhelming.

SUN PRAIRIE, Wis., Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Independent Pharmacy Cooperative (IPC) today announced its acquisition of USave Pharmacy Group, effective September 1, 2026. The acquisition brings together two organizations with a shared commitment to preserving and strengthening independent community pharmacy.

Independent Pharmacy Cooperative Acquires USave Pharmacy Group

For more than 40 years, USave Pharmacy Group has brought independent pharmacy owners together through purchasing opportunities, peer collaboration, dedicated representation and a shared commitment to helping locally owned pharmacies succeed. The acquisition allows IPC to build upon that legacy while maintaining the identity, relationships and sense of community that have defined USave.

"USave was built around pharmacy owners supporting pharmacy owners," said Bill Hamik of USave Pharmacy Group. "Our stores value the relationships, responsiveness and shared identity that come with being part of this group. IPC understands that history and recognizes that USave's identity is something to preserve, not replace. This next chapter will allow our pharmacies to retain what they value about USave while gaining access to additional resources and opportunities for the future."

IPC and USave have worked together for several years. IPC announced an agreement with the Nebraska-based pharmacy group in 2017, establishing a relationship focused on connecting USave pharmacies with IPC resources and purchasing opportunities.

"IPC's purpose has always been to help independent pharmacies remain strong, locally owned and positioned for the future," said Marc Essensa, President and CEO of IPC. "USave shares that purpose. This acquisition is about preserving a respected organization, building on the trust it has earned and bringing additional strength and resources to its pharmacies. We believe USave's history, identity and relationships will remain an important part of its future."

The entire IPC team from Member Service to our Distribution team, from Member Performance to our Government Relations, will continue to support the USave Pharmacy Group as we have since 2017. Kate Helf, IPC Vice President of Pharmacy Innovation, having worked closely with the USave Pharmacy Group for the past 10 years, will be the liaison ensuring continuity throughout the transition.

FRANKLIN, Tenn., Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- What happens during a vestibular evaluation, and how does it help adults experiencing dizziness or unsteadiness? A HelloNation article offers a detailed explanation of what patients can expect during balance testing, and how this process helps identify inner ear issues that affect stability.

Dr. Elizabeth Welch, Audiologist

The article explains that the vestibular system, located in the inner ear, is responsible for helping the brain interpret movement and position. When this system is not working correctly, adults may feel dizzy, off-balance, or even nauseated. Vestibular evaluations are designed to examine how well this system functions and to uncover the source of balance-related problems. According to the article, understanding this process in advance helps reduce anxiety and improves the overall experience for patients.

The HelloNation article outlines the steps of a typical vestibular evaluation. It begins with a medical history review to look for past injuries, medications, or conditions that could contribute to dizziness. A hearing assessment is often included, since hearing loss and balance problems can be closely related. Testing may include tracking eye movements with cameras, standing on specialized platforms, or performing head movements while clinicians monitor the body's response. These methods help evaluate how the brain coordinates sensory input from the ears, eyes, and muscles to maintain balance.

adults can access vestibular evaluations at audiology clinics, ENT offices, and balance-focused facilities. The article notes that these tests are safe, noninvasive, and usually completed in less than an hour. For more complex balance concerns, multiple sessions may be scheduled. The article emphasizes that while some people worry the testing might trigger dizziness, clinicians are trained to minimize discomfort and guide patients through the process with care.

The article also highlights who can benefit most from a vestibular evaluation. Adults experiencing regular dizziness, unexplained falls, vertigo, or motion sensitivity are encouraged to seek testing. It is also recommended for those recovering from head injuries, inner ear infections, or periods of prolonged imbalance. The results of balance testing guide treatment strategies, which may include vestibular therapy, balance exercises, hearing aids, or medical treatment for inner ear disorders.

One of the key messages in the article is that understanding the evaluation process builds patient confidence. Most clinics provide step-by-step explanations and clearly communicate what sensations to expect during testing. Afterward, patients typically receive a written report summarizing findings and outlining practical next steps. The article explains that this empowers adults to make informed decisions about care and take action to reduce the risk of future falls or injury.

The HelloNation article emphasizes that early balance testing plays a crucial role in maintaining independence and physical safety. By establishing a baseline, clinicians can track progress over time and adjust treatments as needed. Combining professional guidance with lifestyle changes—such as practicing balance exercises, staying physically active, and reducing stress—leads to better outcomes for many adults.

For adults in Franklin, TN, the article presents vestibular evaluations as a reliable and accessible way to gain clarity on dizziness and balance concerns. By participating in the process and following through on recommendations, individuals can take meaningful steps to improve stability and enhance their quality of life.

What to Expect During a Balance or Vestibular Evaluation features insights from Dr. Elizabeth Welch, Audiology Expert of Franklin, TN, in HelloNation.

The launch comes as Lucid Bots' connected fleet surpasses 8,760 cumulative flight hours — the equivalent of a full year in the air

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Lucid Bots has announced the Power Tether, making it the first company to bring a ground-powered continuous-power system to commercial cleaning and spraying drones. The system supplies continuous external power to the Sherpa drone, reducing planned battery-change interruptions during longer cleaning and spraying operations. The announcement comes as Lucid Bots operators have recently recorded more than 8,760 cumulative flight hours; the equivalent of more than one full calendar year in the air.

Measured through telemetry data as of August 17, the milestone aggregates airborne time across 600+ Sherpa drones. It represents cumulative activity across the network, not a single continuous flight and not exclusively Power Tether-powered flight.

Conventional battery operations require the drone to land periodically so crews can swap packs, relaunch and reacquire position. The Power Tether shifts the primary power source to the ground: its air module mounts in the Sherpa drone's battery bay, while a ground station connects to a compatible generator. The result is a longer, steadier work session with fewer planned interruptions and less need to schedule the job around battery cycles.

Adoption data reflects the shift. Among customers who have logged more than an hour on the Power Tether, more than 90% of their flight time now runs on tether power, with batteries used for the remaining 10%. That split is a signal that once crews have the system on hand, they default to it for the bulk of the job.

"Those hours belong to our customers. A year in the air is a year of everyday businesses generating revenue and doing dangerous work faster and more safely," said Andrew Ashur, Founder and CEO of Lucid Bots. "Too much of robotics has lived in the promise of headlines. This is customers on job sites building real companies and creating real value. The Power Tether also ends the old battery debate that has dominated our industry. Once customers try it, the data shows they don't go back to swapping packs. Crews stay focused on the building instead of the battery clock."

The Power Tether installs in less than 15 minutes on compatible Sherpa drone systems. Firmware monitors power draw in real time and alerts operators as they approach operating limits. If generator power is lost, onboard battery backup supports the system's automatic landing sequence.

In a continuous-flight test at Lucid Bots headquarters, a Power Tether-equipped Sherpa drone remained airborne for eight hours and 48 seconds on one generator connection with no battery swaps.

The Power Tether is designed for commercial building-maintenance work where longer flight sessions help crews maintain job momentum, including exterior facade, window, hotel, institutional and distribution-center applications.

Col. Reginald M. Harris, U.S. Army (Ret.) brings 33 years of Army service, from enlisted soldier to battalion command in the Cyber Protection Brigade to the senior staff of ARCYBER and U.S. Central Command

MIAMI, Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Col. Reginald M. Harris, U.S. Army (Retired), who served as Chief of Staff of U.S. Army Cyber Command and commanded the 1st Cyber Protection Battalion (Provisional), has joined Qtonic Quantum Corp to lead the company's federal and defense government affairs.

Harris will represent Qtonic Quantum, a quantum cyber risk and vulnerability intelligence firm serving enterprise and federal environments, to the Department of War and its military departments and combatant commands, the Department of Homeland Security, the Intelligence Community, other federal departments and agencies, and the defense industrial base and systems integrators that serve them.

He arrives against a fixed clock. The Department of War Post-Quantum Cryptography Strategy, released in June 2026, requires high-impact and national security systems to support quantum-resistant algorithms by December 31, 2030 and the force to use them by December 31, 2031, unless otherwise noted, with non-compliant systems phased out. Executive Order 14412, signed June 22, 2026, directs CISA and NIST to publish minimum elements for a cryptographic bill of materials that enable automated assessment of cryptographic assets, and directs the FAR Council to propose a rule binding covered contractors to post-quantum standards. Neither deadline can be met by an organization that cannot first count the cryptography it runs.

"A program office cannot buy its way out of a cryptographic problem it has not measured, and the people who understand that best are the ones who have sat in the seat and been asked for the answer," said Lt. Gen. Roger L. Cloutier Jr., U.S. Army (Retired), Founding Chair of the Qtonic Quantum Allied Defense Council and former Commander of NATO Allied Land Command. "Reggie ran the staff of the Army's cyber command. He knows what these organizations actually have, how they actually buy, and how long the distance runs between a policy deadline and a fielded capability. That is the right person for this work."

Harris enlisted in the Army Reserve in 1992 as a food service specialist and was commissioned as a Distinguished Military Graduate of Elizabeth City State University in 1996. He served first as a Field Artillery officer, including battery command in Germany and fire support duty with 1st Armored Division, then as an Information Systems officer. In that second career he was Enterprise Services Division Chief for XVIII Airborne Corps G6, detachment chief of a cyber protection team in the Army Cyber Protection Brigade, battalion commander of the 1st Cyber Protection Battalion (Provisional), and Deputy Chief of the Enterprise Integration Division at Headquarters Department of the Army CIO/G-6 in the Pentagon. He served with U.S. Central Command as J6 Engineer Division Chief and Deputy J6 and finished that tour as Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations. He became Chief of Staff of U.S. Army Cyber Command in July 2022 and retired in September 2025.

His decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, the Bronze Star Medal, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal with one silver and one bronze oak leaf cluster, the Combat Action Badge, and the Iraq Campaign Medal with four campaign stars. He holds a master's degree in Information Technology Management from Webster University and a master's degree in National Resource Strategy from National Defense University, and he is a graduate of the Eisenhower School.

"I spent thirty-three years responsible for networks that other people's lives depended on, and the hardest part was never the fix," said Harris. "It was knowing what you had. Cryptographic inventory at mission scale is that same problem, and the deadline for solving it is already on the calendar. I joined this company because it produces evidence a skeptical program manager can check rather than an assertion he has to accept."

Harris joins a Qtonic Quantum federal effort that includes QHunt, launched in August 2026 at AFCEA TechNet Augusta, which carries the company's cryptographic discovery work into operational technology and mission environments under a published non-destructive engagement policy and produces a cryptographic bill of materials in CycloneDX 1.7, signed under FIPS 204.

Qtonic Quantum Corp is a SAM.gov registered federal contractor, UEI FRYFAD3GW5W5, CAGE Code 14E99, NAICS 541512 and 541519.
