New Eagle Hill Consulting Research Finds AI Is Reshaping How Organizations Work, But Leadership and Culture Lag Behind

AI is Improving Productivity and Quality of Work, while Cultural Barriers and Gaps in Work Redesign Could Limit AI Success

ARLINGTON, Va., Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Artificial intelligence (AI) has moved beyond experimentation and isolated technology applications and is increasingly embedded in the core operations of organizations. But new research from Eagle Hill Consulting finds that management practices, workforce strategies, and organizational cultures are not evolving at the same pace.

A new Eagle Hill Consulting AI Capabilities survey among senior business decision makers finds that organizations are using AI at nearly equal rates for business operations (73 percent of respondents), decision support and analytics (72 percent), and employee productivity and knowledge work (71 percent). At the same time, those leaders report that AI is delivering its strongest value in improving how work gets done: 66 percent report improved employee productivity, 59 percent report improved operational efficiency, 55 percent report improved quality of work, and 53 percent report improved customer experience.

"AI is no longer just a technology implementation or a collection of productivity tools. It is part of how organizations operate, make decisions, and get work done," said Melissa Jezior, president and chief executive officer of Eagle Hill Consulting. "That shift requires leaders to think much more broadly about AI transformation. Technology and data matter, but organizations also must continuously rethink work, develop their people, and create a culture where employees and managers can work differently."

The research points to a potential organizational blind spot. While 52 percent of leaders surveyed identify data quality and availability and 47 percent identify technology platforms and infrastructure as top factors contributing to AI success, only 18 percent point to work redesign and just nine percent identify culture.

Yet when asked specifically about cultural factors, culture proves to be a significant obstacle. Eighty-four percent of leaders surveyed report at least one cultural factor limiting their organization's success with AI. The most frequently cited barriers include employees hesitating to change established ways of working (30 percent), AI governance processes slowing experimentation and learning (27 percent), and short-term priorities crowding out AI experimentation and learning (26 percent).

"Organizations may be underestimating just how much AI transformation is organizational transformation," Jezior said. "You can have the right technology and high-quality data, but that alone won't deliver sustained value. Leaders need to create the conditions for people to rethink established ways of working, learn new skills, experiment responsibly, and continuously adapt as AI capabilities evolve."

AI Adoption Is Outpacing Organizational Adaptation

The research finds that organizations are moving away from treating AI-related work redesign as a one-time transformation effort, but the practice is far from institutionalized. Fewer than half of leaders surveyed (45 percent) say their organization has an established management practice for continuously reviewing and improving work as AI and business needs evolve.

Organizations also are taking a more coordinated approach to identifying AI opportunities; however fewer than half of leaders surveyed (47 percent) say their organization systematically identifies opportunities through enterprise-wide processes. Twenty-three percent report that they rely primarily on individual functions, teams, or employees to identify AI opportunities.

Gaps remain in how organizations determine the appropriate division of work between people and AI. While 72 percent of leaders surveyed report that their organization uses explicit criteria such as business value, risk, and workforce capacity to make those decisions, 28 percent say their organization leaves decisions primarily to individual employees or teams or have no established process.

The findings also suggest room for improvement in workforce development. While 39 percent of respondents report their organization provides training when new AI technology is introduced, only 31 percent say employee development for AI is planned as part of broader business and workforce planning.

Leadership practices also are still evolving. Only 37 percent say leaders review and adjust how work is organized across the enterprise as AI changes the organization. Twenty-eight percent say leaders coordinate changes across functions or business units, while 23 percent say leaders primarily support AI adoption and 12 percent focus on improving work within their own teams.

"The next phase of AI will be less about adopting tools and more about building an organization that can continuously adapt around them," Jezior said. "Organizations that connect AI strategy to work design, workforce development, leadership, and culture will be better positioned to translate AI investment into lasting business value."

AI's Value Extends Beyond Efficiency

The research also indicates that AI's impact on employees may be broader than efficiency gains alone. Respondents report that AI has increased employees' opportunities to build expertise (89 percent), focus on high-value work (88 percent), and perform creative or intellectually engaging work (87 percent). Seventy-eight percent say AI has increased clarity of roles and responsibilities, while 73 percent report an increased sense of ownership for work outcomes. Meanwhile, 58 percent of leaders surveyed say employee burnout has decreased because of AI.

"These findings challenge the assumption that the primary value of AI is simply doing the same work faster or cheaper," Jezior said. "Leaders are seeing AI create opportunities for employees to spend more time on higher-value, creative, and skill-building work. The challenge now is to deliberately design work and workforce strategies that sustain those benefits."

Methodology

The Eagle Hill Consulting AI Capabilities Survey was conducted by Ipsos from August 3-6, 2026. For this survey, 306 people employed in a position of director or above at U.S. companies with annual revenue of at least $100 million, where AI adoption is established, were interviewed online in English. The respondent composition included 102 C-suite executives (33%), 96 senior vice presidents or vice presidents (31%), and 108 directors (35%).

SATELLAI Deepens Collaboration with Deutsche Telekom IoT and Swift Navigation at IFA 2026

BERLIN, Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- SATELLAI, an AI-powered pet wellbeing company building technology to help people better understand and care for their pets, today highlighted its expanded collaboration with Deutsche Telekom IoT and Swift Navigation at IFA 2026. The collaboration brings together three complementary technology layers: SATELLAI's AI-powered pet intelligence, Deutsche Telekom IoT's global connectivity capabilities, and Swift Navigation's advanced positioning technology.

Together, these capabilities support SATELLAI's efforts to deliver reliable, connected pet experiences as the company expands into international markets.

Strategic Collaboration for Connected Pet Intelligence

SATELLAI highlighted the collaboration during a featured keynote at an exclusive networking and showcase event hosted by Deutsche Telekom IoT. The presentation explored how connectivity and positioning infrastructure can support the next generation of connected pet intelligence and enable SATELLAI to scale its products across markets.

"This collaboration is about bringing together complementary layers of technology," said David Teaster, Product Marketing Director at SATELLAI. "SATELLAI brings the intelligence layer: understanding pets through AI, data, and wearable technology. Deutsche Telekom IoT brings the connectivity layer: reliable global IoT infrastructure and international network capabilities. Swift Navigation contributes advanced positioning capabilities. Global Hiring Outlook Strengthens for Q4 as Workforce Transformation Drives Demand for New Skills
Image File
Original HTML

Beneath the headline, the data points to a workforce in transition. Among employers planning to add staff, 62% cite changing roles and skills as the primary driver, including branching into new areas, new expertise demanded by advancing technology, and shifts in the skills their services require.

"This data demonstrates employers continue to place high value on human skills, even as the nature of work shifts with technological advancements," said Jonas Prising, ManpowerGroup Chair & CEO. "Nearly two-thirds of employers tell us they are hiring because the roles and skills their organizations need are changing – many are reconsidering the tasks within jobs rather than displacing full positions. Over the next five years, the defining challenge will be redesigning work at scale. The most forward-thinking employers are building the skills they need from both within and outside their companies – shaping agile workforces that can adapt as organizations seek to realize the true value of AI."

Forty-three percent of employers globally plan to increase staffing between October and December, compared with 14% anticipating reductions, while 41% expect staffing levels to remain unchanged. Expected decreases are driven more by a soft economic environment as opposed to AI or automation.

Entry-Level Hiring Holds Firm as AI Reshapes Early-Career Work

The survey also points to a more surprising finding on early-career hiring. Across every industry surveyed, more employers report increasing entry-level hiring than cutting it, with 45% adding early-career talent compared with 2025 against 20% pulling back. Where employers are scaling back, cost pressure and a lack of experience weigh more heavily than AI, suggesting automation is reshaping early-career roles rather than eliminating the need for them.

Changing Roles and Skills Drive a Growing Share of Hiring

While company expansion (39%) remains the single most common reason employers are adding staff, the survey shows that hiring is increasingly about transformation rather than growth alone. At the same time, 21% of organizations increasing headcount pointed to advancing tech, while 16% cite adapting to shifts in the skills their services require.

At the same time, 32% of employers adding staff say they are backfilling positions. Together, the findings describe a labor market in which employers are hiring to reshape their workforces, not simply to enlarge them, as the composition of roles and the skills behind them continue to change.

AI Has Yet to Make Hiring Consistently Faster

Despite increasing use of AI across recruitment, employers are not yet seeing a universal improvement in time-to-hire. Twenty-eight percent say their average time-to-hire has become faster compared with 2025, while 41% say it has remained about the same and 30% say it has become slower.

In HelloNation, Plumbing Expert Ken Settje Explains Causes of a Running Toilet
Image File
Original HTML

The article explains common toilet problems that lead to water waste and higher water bills in households.

TIMBERLAKE, Va., Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ --Why does a toilet keep running even when no one has flushed it recently? The answer is explained in a HelloNation article featuring insights from Plumbing Expert Ken Settje of Plumb Care Plumbing Inc in Timberlake, Virginia.

The HelloNation article explains that a running toilet is one of the most common household plumbing issues, yet it is often ignored until it leads to a higher water bill. Even a small internal leak can waste hundreds of gallons of water each month. Understanding the common causes of a running toilet helps homeowners correct the problem quickly and prevent unnecessary strain on the plumbing system.

One of the most frequent causes of a running toilet is a worn flapper. The article explains that the flapper is the rubber valve located at the bottom of the toilet tank. During a flush, the flapper lifts to release water into the bowl and then seals again to stop the flow. Over time, the material can deteriorate, warp, or develop mineral buildup that prevents it from sealing properly. When this occurs, water slowly leaks from the tank into the bowl, causing the toilet to run continuously. Replacing the flapper is often a simple solution that restores proper function.

Another common issue involves the fill valve. The fill valve controls how water refills the tank after a flush and stops the flow once the tank reaches the correct level. The article notes that when the fill valve becomes faulty or misadjusted, water may continue flowing into the tank even after it has filled. Signs of a malfunctioning fill valve include hissing sounds, constant water movement, or water spilling into the overflow tube. Repairing or replacing the fill valve can stop the running toilet and reduce water waste.

The chain connected to the flush handle can also contribute to the problem. The article explains that the chain links the handle to the flapper and allows the flushing mechanism to function. If the chain is too short, the flapper may not close completely. If the chain is too long, it may become caught under the flapper and prevent it from sealing. Adjusting the chain length ensures the flapper can close properly and stop continuous water flow.

The HelloNation article also highlights the impact of small internal leaks within the toilet tank. Even a minor leak that allows a steady trickle of water into the bowl can waste significant amounts of water over time. Homeowners may notice subtle signs such as the sound of water running when the toilet has not been used, the tank refilling periodically, or an unexplained increase in the water bill. Detecting and repairing these leaks early helps prevent long term water waste.

A running toilet can also affect the overall efficiency of a household plumbing system. Continuous water flow places extra demand on supply lines and can contribute to unnecessary wear on plumbing components. The article explains that addressing leaks quickly helps protect the plumbing system while reducing household water consumption.

Regular maintenance can help prevent toilets from running in the first place. The article recommends inspecting internal components such as the flapper, fill valve, and chain periodically to ensure they remain in good condition. Mineral buildup from hard water may accelerate wear on these parts, so routine inspection is particularly important in areas with higher mineral content.

In some cases, the article notes that older toilets may develop recurring problems because internal seals and components deteriorate over time. Replacing an aging toilet with a modern high-efficiency model can improve water conservation while resolving persistent running issues.

The article concludes that a running toilet is typically caused by worn flappers, faulty fill valves, improper chain adjustments, or small internal leaks. Identifying and correcting these problems early helps homeowners prevent water waste, control their water bill, and maintain an efficient plumbing system.

Telit Cinterion Introduces Edge AI SDK to Run Machine Learning Models on Selected 4G and 5G Cellular Modules
Image File
Original HTML

The SDK embeds the LiteRT runtime in the modules' firmware, which runs AI inference on their application cores

- Combines AI inference and cellular connectivity in a single module

- Supports the standard .tflite model format without a vendor-specific rebuild

- Includes sample applications and generic reference models

BOCA RATON, Fla., Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Telit Cinterion, an end-to-end Internet of Things (IoT) solutions enabler, today announced both its edge AI SDK and planned AI-enabled cellular module variants. The SDK runs machine learning models on a module's own hardware without the need for an external AI accelerator or companion processor.

Expected in Q4 2026, the edge AI SDK incorporates LiteRT, formerly TensorFlow Lite, into the Linux-based firmware of upcoming Telit Cinterion AI-enabled cellular modules. Those module variants will span 4G, 5G RedCap and high-performance 5G.

LiteRT runs the standard .tflite format. Developers train and optimize models in established tools, then load the resulting file onto a Telit Cinterion module without rebuilding for a proprietary environment. A model already running on a PC or a Raspberry Pi transfers directly.

The compact runtime fits on small, low-cost modules unable to host larger AI software stacks. That footprint extends on-module inference to hardware previously limited to connectivity.

Sample applications included in the SDK move a model through the full inference pipeline, acquiring sensor data, preprocessing it, running the model and returning the prediction to the industrial application. System integrators retain control over the final model, application logic and deployment architecture.

In proof-of-concept testing on image classification and object detection, inference consumed no more than 17% of CPU resources. That margin holds the module below the point where thermal throttling would degrade 4G and 5G performance.

Potential customer-developed applications include:

- Predictive maintenance: Analyze vibration or audio data from motors, pumps and bearings to identify anomalies before equipment fails.

- Acoustic monitoring: Recognize alarms, breaking glass and other important sound patterns at remote industrial or infrastructure sites.

- Smart metering: Read existing analog meters through connected cameras and image classification, with no replacement of installed equipment.

"Industrial IoT teams should not have to redesign their entire device architecture to add practical AI capabilities," said Marco Argenton, senior vice president of product management at Telit Cinterion. "By bringing a lightweight AI runtime into the cellular module, we help customers reduce system complexity and accelerate the path from proof of concept to a connected industrial solution that can operate reliably in the field."

"The real engineering challenge isn't simply running AI at the edge. It's delivering secure, efficient and reliable intelligence within the constraints of a connected embedded device," said Vishal Batra, vice president of software engineering at Telit Cinterion. "Our edge AI SDK enables developers to deploy standard AI models directly on Telit Cinterion modules, accelerating development without compromising the trusted connectivity industrial IoT applications require."

Curaleaf Issues Fact Sheet to Address What It Believes Are Misleading Statements From Aurora
Original HTML

STAMFORD, Conn., Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Curaleaf Holdings, Inc. (TSX: CURA) (OTCQX: CURLF) ("Curaleaf" or the "Company"), a leading international provider of consumer and medical cannabis products, today released a fact sheet addressing a number of inaccurate and misleading statements made by Aurora Cannabis Inc. ("Aurora") in connection with Curaleaf's proposal to acquire Aurora.

Curaleaf believes shareholders deserve the facts. While Aurora has focused on criticizing Curaleaf's proposal, shareholders should focus on the fundamental question: which company has a clearer vision for the future and a stronger record of creating shareholder value? The fact sheet below helps shareholders evaluate the choice between Curaleaf's premium offer and Aurora's standalone plan.

Read the fact sheet and learn more at grow.curaleaf.com.

MYTH: "Curaleaf's offer is too low and significantly undervalues Aurora."

FACT: One of the highest premiums in Canadian M&A. A 45% premium is among the higher Canadian M&A premiums of the past decade. Excluding cash on Aurora's balance sheet, Curaleaf's offer represents a 110% premium*. If Aurora's assets are worth more, why has management been unable to unlock that value after years?

More importantly, management's actions don't match its words. Aurora continues to issue shares through its At-the-Market (ATM) program at prices materially below the value implied by Curaleaf's offer. Since Curaleaf's bid, Aurora has accelerated these dilutive issuances while telling shareholders not to tender to a substantially higher value. If management truly believes Aurora is worth so much more, why is it selling stock at lower prices?

MYTH: "Aurora's standalone plan will create more value than Curaleaf's offer."

FACT: Results > promises. Aurora is asking shareholders to continue supporting a "turnaround" strategy that has had nearly six years to prove itself. During this time, management has recorded ~C$5 billion of impairments and ~C$130 million of business transformation costs.

Aurora has overseen negative operating cash flow of more than C$480 million since FY21A, while having one of the highest executive compensation plans among industry peers. ACB's 97% share decline under CEO Miguel Martin speaks for itself. By comparison, Curaleaf generated $447 million of positive operating cash flow since F21.

MYTH: "Aurora just delivered a record year and its strategy is gaining momentum."

FACT: Deteriorating fundamentals, declining outlook. Shareholders should focus on where the business is headed, not where it has been. Management's own guidance says fiscal 2027 revenue is expected to decline to fiscal 2025 levels and adjusted EBITDA is expected to be lower than the prior year.

MYTH: "Curaleaf's shares are overvalued and Aurora shareholders are being offered inflated stock."

FACT: Even Aurora's own advisor disagrees. Aurora argues Curaleaf's shares are overvalued, yet its own financial advisor states that "the trading price of those [Curaleaf] shares can be reasonably regarded as a proxy for their underlying value."

Curaleaf consistently commands a premium because it is the largest publicly traded cannabis company in the world and a leader in profitability and cash flow generation. Aurora can't have it both ways: if Curaleaf's valuation is too high, why is it not high enough for Aurora?

MYTH: "Curaleaf's leverage presents a risk to future equity holders."

FACT: Debt can be repaid; dilution is forever. Curaleaf is the largest cannabis operator by revenue and market cap, among the most profitable by adjusted EBITDA, and is a cash flow leader. Curaleaf's balance sheet compares favorably to peers, and the company's profitability and cash flows support its debt load.

In contrast, Aurora promotes a "debt-free" balance sheet but ignores how that balance sheet was and is being financed. Aurora has raised more than US$400 million since September 2020 through equity issuances at the expense of shareholders and continues to rely on dilutive ATM programs that permanently reduce existing shareholders' ownership.

MYTH: "ACB had substantive discussions with Curaleaf before rejecting our offer."

FACT: They never even discussed price. Aurora never entered into a confidentiality agreement with Curaleaf and never once discussed price. Rather than testing whether additional value could be secured for shareholders, Aurora simply rejected the proposal without even discussing a counteroffer.

MYTH: "The US$5.00 cap imposes a cap on any upside."

FACT: If the cap is the issue, the Board can fix it. Aurora's criticism of the cap structure is a distraction from the significant premium represented by the US$5.00 cap.

The US$5.00 cap price represents an implied premium within the 92nd percentile of Canadian M&A premiums over the last 10 years. The proposed structure encourages ACB shareholders to complete a transaction as soon as possible to lock in the exchange ratio and participate in potential upside and is the same structure that Aurora used in prior M&A transactions.

If Aurora's Board was truly concerned about the cap, they can choose to shorten the 105-day bid period to 35 days and engage constructively with Curaleaf on the particulars of a deal.

MYTH: "Aurora shareholders would trade independent ownership for a minority stake in a company controlled by one individual through multi-voting shares."

FACT: This is about scale, not governance. Aurora shareholders would retain a minority stake in the combined company because Curaleaf is substantially larger than Aurora (>13x market cap prior to the offer).

CURA insiders have nearly US$500 million of their own money invested alongside shareholders, significantly more than Aurora's insider ownership (~20% versus ~1%), and ensuring Curaleaf's management incentives are strongly aligned with shareholders. On the other hand, Aurora insiders have ~10% of the transaction value payable in the event of a change in control. Additionally, since Boris Jordan became CEO, Curaleaf has outperformed Aurora by approximately 57%.

Multi-class voting structures are not a rarity. They are used by many of the largest founder-owned sector leaders, including Alphabet, Meta, Shopify, Palantir, DoorDash, and, among leading cannabis companies, Green Thumb, and Trulieve among others.

MYTH: "Why should Aurora shareholders accept mostly Curaleaf stock?"

FACT: Get paid today, participate in upside tomorrow. Cash consideration represents ~19% of the US$4.00 offer price, in line with precedent Canadian cannabis M&A transactions. Shareholders will receive immediate value while retaining ownership in the largest cannabis company in the sector with broader market exposure, stronger cash generation, and multiple future growth catalysts.

MYTH: "Regulatory reform is already priced into Curaleaf's stock. There isn't much upside left."

FACT: The biggest benefits are still ahead. Federal reform is not a one-time event. The value creation comes from what follows: immediately, materially lower cash taxes and improved free cash flow, and potentially broader institutional ownership, lower financing costs, greater M&A flexibility, access to credit cards, and uplisting to a major U.S. exchange. Those benefits compound over time and have only begun.

MYTH: "Most of Curaleaf's business is Adult Use sales in the United States. That business is still federally illegal."

FACT: Exposure to the world's largest cannabis market is an advantage, not a risk. Our U.S. medical business represents approximately 60%. What's more, U.S. cannabis regulation has been moving steadily in one direction: toward greater normalization, broader acceptance and reduced regulatory barriers. CURA's exposure to the world's largest cannabis market is a benefit and a competitive advantage.

MYTH: "The transaction is not tax efficient for U.S. shareholders"

FACT: Stay invested in the upside. A significant portion of the consideration consists of CURA shares, allowing shareholders to continue their investment in the combined company rather than fully liquidating their position. If tax structuring is a priority for Aurora, they should engage with Curaleaf to negotiate it.

MYTH: "Why would Nasdaq-listed shareholders accept OTC paper?"

FACT: It's about the business, not the exchange. Curaleaf trades on the TSX which is among the largest exchanges globally and is the leading exchange for cannabis issuers. On a 2026 YTD basis, CURA has traded meaningfully more value on the TSX relative to ACB on NASDAQ. Additionally, a Nasdaq listing has not prevented value destruction for ACB shareholders. Lastly, CURA is expected to also trade on a major U.S. exchange once the rescheduling process is completed.
