A New Article Covers the Timing Factors and Planning Strategies That Help Families Visit a Drive Through Safari Park Without Feeling Rushed

SEQUIM, Wash., Oct. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- How long does a drive through safari actually take from the moment you arrive to the end of the route? A HelloNation article answers that question with a practical breakdown of the factors that shape visit duration and what families can do to plan their time more effectively.

The HelloNation article starts with an honest estimate: most drive through safari visits fall between one and two hours from entry to exit. That range reflects natural variation in how active the animals are on a given day, how often visitors choose to stop for feeding, and how long families linger at each encounter along the route.

Robert Beebe of Olympic Game Farm in Sequim, Washington is the Safari Park Expert whose experience shapes the article's planning guidance. At Olympic Game Farm, the drive follows an open-land route where animals move freely around vehicles. The article notes that visitors who take their time, stop regularly to feed, and wait for animals to come close typically spend closer to two hours, while those who keep a steadier pace may finish in under ninety minutes.

Timing the visit strategically is a theme the article returns to more than once. The article recommends weekday mornings for families who want better crowd conditions and more flexible pacing through the park. Mornings also tend to offer clearer weather, particularly in Sequim, which sits in a rain shadow that produces more dry days than much of the surrounding region.

Feeding is one of the main factors that naturally extends a drive through safari visit in ways most families genuinely welcome. When an animal approaches the vehicle, families typically spend several minutes offering food, observing the response, and taking photographs. Those moments add up, and the article advises building extra time into the plan from the start so that spontaneous encounters feel like highlights rather than delays.

Group composition also affects pacing, according to the article. Families with young children tend to move more slowly, ask more questions, and linger longer at each animal along the route. The Safari Park Expert's practical suggestion, reflected throughout the article, is to plan for two and a half hours rather than two, giving the group enough cushion to enjoy each stop without feeling rushed by the end of the drive.

Weekends and peak travel periods bring more vehicles to the route, which affects the overall pace of the visit in noticeable ways. The article recommends shoulder season weekday visits for families with scheduling flexibility, since those visits typically offer more space between vehicles and more uninterrupted time with the animals at each stop.

Before entering the route, the article recommends taking a few minutes to review the materials the park provides at the gate. A route map, animal descriptions, and feeding instructions help visitors stay oriented and give families something specific to look forward to as they move through the drive through safari.

2026 TCS New York City Marathon is Sunday, November 1st

NEW YORK, Oct. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- American Liver Foundation (ALF) is proud to once again be a member of the TCS New York City Marathon Charity Program, for the 2026 race, which takes place on Sunday, November 1. Runners will complete 26.2 miles through New York City's five boroughs.

"ALF is grateful to once again be an official charity partner of the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon," said Lorraine Stiehl, Chief Executive Officer, American Liver Foundation. "We have an amazing group of runners who continue to raise awareness and funds for the nearly 100 million people in America affected by some form of liver disease."

All funds raised go towards ALF's mission to support those affected by liver disease. The ALF marathon team is made up of runners with varying levels of experience from novice to advanced, most of whom have a connection to liver disease.

Matthew Luneburg is the 2026 New York City Marathon Liver Life Challenge Team Captain that runs in honor of his father who is celebrating 14 years cancer-free from liver cancer. After a yearlong battle in Memphis, Tennessee that included many 2 a.m. ambulance calls and lots of tears and scary days and nights, Matthew's dad received the gift of life â a liver transplant! "Too many kids are waiting up for their mom and dad to come home. The American Liver Foundation served as a beacon of hope when that kid was me. I'll be running those 26.2 miles for them, this city, and (of course) my dad â the Spirit of New York," said Matthew Luneburg.

Additional runners on ALF's 30-member team include:

- Jennie Cataldo: She's running for the first time in the NYC Marathon on Team ALF. As an Outreach Program Manager for Lahey Hospital Clinic's Division of Transplantation and Hepatobiliary Disease, Jennie understands what transplant patients go through and just wants to raise awareness of liver disease and the importance of liver transplantation.

- Kathleen Dorfman: She's running for the first time in the NYC Marathon in honor of her nephew who was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia and received a liver transplant at 10 months old.

- Megan Dunn: Running for the first time in the NYC Marathon, Megan has been a liver transplant and living donor social worker at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Transplant Institute for the last four years. She wants to support her patients by raising funds for ALF that provides essential support to those with liver disease.

- Hannah Fleming: She is running in her first marathon with Team ALF to raise awareness about liver disease. Diagnosed with Biliary Atresia, a rare liver disease, she received a life-saving liver transplant at eight months old. Today, she's a liver transplant operating room nurse who finds it incredible that she gets to work with transplant patients.

- Kelsea Kim: Running her first NYC Marathon with Team ALF, Kelsea was diagnosed at 21 years old with Autoimmune Hepatitis (AIH) and eventually primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) and ulcerative colitis (UC). She runs for those living with liver disease as well as for herself because it grounds her and lets her know her body is strong and capable.

- Sidney Monday and Steve Nugent: They are both running for the first time in the NYC Marathon on Team ALF. Steve, a two-time liver recipient with an autoimmune liver disease, runs in honor of his amazing donors and raises awareness for organ donation. Steve has run the Boston Marathon on ALF's team for three years.

- Saylor Smith: She's running for the first time with Team ALF in honor of her mother who lost her battle with cholangiocarcinoma after being diagnosed at 33 years old.

- Keith Tully: He's running in the NYC marathon for the first time with Team ALF, and he has run in the Boston Marathon for 13 years with Team ALF. Tully, diagnosed with primary sclerosing cholangitis, received a lifesaving transplant from a living donor.

- David Weston: Running in the NYC Marathon for the 3rd year on Team ALF and has run for two years in the NYC Half Marathon with Team ALF. He runs in honor of his father who exhibited so much strength in his fight against a liver disease that eventually took his life. David is inspired by his father's strength throughout his journey and has been honoring his memory for over 20 years by running in marathons.

Tampa General Hospital Promotes Lijah Lokenauth to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

The promotion recognizes Lokenauth's financial leadership, contributions to enterprise transformation, commitment to disciplined financial stewardship and the academic health system's commitment to developing leaders from within as the system continues to grow.

TAMPA, Fla., Oct. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Tampa General Hospital (TGH) announced today that Lijah Lokenauth, CPA, CFE, has been promoted to executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective Jan. 4, 2027. Lokenauth, who currently serves as senior vice president of finance, will oversee the financial strategy and operations supporting Tampa General's long-term sustainability and strategic priorities as Florida's premier academic health system, helping ensure the resources, financial discipline and long-term planning needed to advance its mission.

The promotion reflects Tampa General's commitment to developing leaders from within while ensuring continuity in its financial leadership. Since joining TGH in 2018, Lokenauth has assumed increasingly complex responsibilities and helped strengthen the financial systems and decision-making capabilities supporting the academic health system. His work has included financial reporting, decision-support and productivity management improvements, as well as partnerships with clinical and operational leaders. Working closely with his predecessor, Mark Runyon, he has helped position the organization for its next phase of financial and strategic leadership.

"Lijah is a steady, collaborative and highly respected leader who has earned this opportunity through his accomplishments, skill, and his strategic collaborative approach to his work and supporting his colleagues," said John Couris, president and CEO of Florida Health Sciences Center | Tampa General. "He has demonstrated sound judgment under pressure, a willingness to take on new challenges and a commitment to leading with the professionalism, curiosity, kindness, consistency and initiative that reflect our values. I've witnessed his growth firsthand, and I have tremendous confidence in his ability to lead our complex financial operations as we continue to expand access to academic medicine across Florida."

Lokenauth has worked closely with Couris and Runyon over the past several months to advance several of Tampa General's key strategic initiatives, including its ambulatory care partnership with Mass General Brigham and the addition of TGH DeSoto to the academic health system earlier this year. These efforts are part of TGH's broader strategy to expand access to academic medicine and strengthen its network of care throughout the state. His work reflects the importance of aligning financial strategy, disciplined resource allocation and operational priorities as the organization evolves.

Lokenauth began his career at Tampa General as corporate controller in 2018 and subsequently advanced to vice president of accounting and finance before assuming his current role as senior vice president of finance. In that capacity, he oversees the academic health system's financial operations, including budgeting and financial performance, revenue management and operational optimization across the organization and its affiliated partners.

"I'm grateful for John's confidence and leadership, the trust Tampa General has placed in me, and Mark's mentorship and partnership over the years," said Lokenauth. "What makes this next chapter exciting is not just how much we've grown, but the opportunity to build on that progress. As we look ahead, our focus will be on maintaining a strong financial foundation, making disciplined decisions about how we allocate our resources, and positioning the organization to navigate both the opportunities and challenges ahead. I'm proud of what we've accomplished together and look forward to continuing that work alongside an exceptional leadership team."

"It has been a privilege to work alongside Lijah and see his growth as a leader," said Runyon. "He brings a deep understanding of our organization, a thoughtful and collaborative approach to decision-making, and an unwavering commitment to our vision of becoming the safest and most innovative academic health system in America. Lijah is exceptionally well prepared for this role, and his promotion reflects both his accomplishments and the confidence we have in his ability to guide Tampa General's financial strategy into the future."

Prior to joining Tampa General, Lokenauth held financial leadership responsibilities at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, where he led internal controls and finance teams and worked with operational leaders to advance financial stewardship initiatives that strengthened reporting and resulted in multimillion-dollar savings.

Lokenauth earned a Bachelor of Arts in accounting and information systems, with honors in business and liberal arts, from Queens College at the City University of New York. He is a certified public accountant (CPA) and certified fraud examiner (CFE). In 2018, he was selected to participate in the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants' Leadership Academy. Lokenauth was named to the Tampa Bay Business Journal's 2023 40 Under 40 class and recognized as a 2023 Up & Comer by Tampa Bay Business & Wealth.

As part of the planned leadership transition, Runyon will assume the role of executive vice president of executive special projects, reporting directly to Couris. Runyon, who joined Tampa General in early 2020, has helped guide the academic health system through a period of significant growth and financial transformation. His leadership has included navigating the financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, raising more than $1.2 billion in capital through bond financing, securing a credit rating upgrade and modernizing systemwide financial reporting.

"Mark has been an invaluable partner and trusted adviser during some of the most significant moments in Tampa General's history and in the process has become a dear friend," Couris said. "His contributions have strengthened our financial position and helped prepare our organization for the future. This transition reflects the strength of that partnership and the importance of thoughtful succession planning. I'm grateful that Mark will continue lending his expertise and leadership to TGH."

New ANSI Report Charts Progress on Standards for Electric Vehicles at Scale

Report tracks progress on 30 existing gaps and proposes three new ones, from damaged battery handling to public charger reliability

NEW YORK, Oct. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- As electric vehicles become more integrated into the nation's transportation system, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) is helping U.S. industry tackle the practical questions that come with mass adoption, from how to safely handle a damaged battery to whether public chargers work reliably for every driver. A new October 2026 Gaps Progress Report released today tracks progress on standardization priorities and flags three areas that need coordinated action.

The report, issued by the ANSI Electric Vehicles Standards Panel (EVSP), provides updates on standards, research, and conformity assessment activities against 30 previously identified gaps. It also proposes three new gaps for consideration:

- Damaged EV Battery Triage, Monitoring, Storage, and Transfer, addressed in the report's Vehicle Systems chapter

- Accessible and Inclusive EV Charging Equipment and Interfaces, addressed in the report's Charging Infrastructure chapter

- Public Unattended Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) User Experience, Operations, and Serviceability, addressed in the report's general section

"As EV adoption grows, the standards questions are shifting from whether the technology works to how it performs in the real world, for every driver and at every charger," said Christine Bernat, ANSI director of standards facilitation. "Damaged batteries, accessibility, and charger reliability are the kinds of issues that are easier to solve together and early, and we encourage more stakeholders to join ANSI in this work."

Tracking progress as EV adoption scales

The report builds on the EVSP's 2023 Roadmap of Standards and Codes for Electric Vehicles at Scale, developed with input from more than 130 organizations across federal agencies, national laboratories, standards developers, industry, and academia. The roadmap identified 37 standardization gaps across vehicle systems, charging infrastructure, grid integration, and cybersecurity.

It is intended as a living document, updated as standards work advances, until the EVSP undertakes its next full roadmap.

The next gaps progress report is expected to be issued May 2027. For more information, visit www.ansi.org/evsp.

About the ANSI Electric Vehicles Standards Panel

The ANSI EVSP brings public- and private-sector stakeholders together to coordinate the standards work needed for safe, large-scale EV deployment in the United Statesâwith international alignment built in. The panel does not develop standards itself; it identifies where they are needed, tracks progress, and helps industry move in the same direction.

To receive future updates, suggest edits to the report, or get involved, indicate your interest when you download the report or email [email protected].

ANSI gratefully acknowledges the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) for its 2026 sponsorship of the ANSI EVSP. This initiative is supported through private-sector sponsorships. ANSI invites sponsorships for 2027 to directly offset ANSI's costs of executing the project.

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Oct. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Sunset Oral and Facial Surgery, the practice of board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon David Salehani, DDS, MD, is using live 3D navigation to guide All-on-X full-arch dental implant treatment for patients throughout Los Angeles, including West Hollywood and Beverly Hills. By pairing a detailed cone beam CT (CBCT) scan and digital treatment planning with the X-Guide dynamic navigation system during surgery, Dr. Salehani maps out the position, angle and depth of each implant before the procedure and tracks the drill against that plan in real time as the implants are placed.

All-on-X is a general term for full-arch restorations that replace an entire upper or lower row of teeth with a fixed bridge anchored to a small number of implants, typically four to six per arch. The best-known version, the All-on-4® treatment concept, uses two implants placed upright in the front of the jaw and two placed at an angle toward the back. Angling the rear implants allows them to engage the denser bone toward the front of the jaw, which lets many patients with reduced bone volume proceed without a separate bone grafting procedure. In most cases, a temporary fixed set of teeth is attached on the day of surgery, and the permanent prosthesis is placed several months later once the implants have integrated with the bone.

Those angled implants are where planning and precision matter most. The back of the upper jaw sits beneath the maxillary sinus, and the lower jaw carries the inferior alveolar nerve, which provides sensation to the lip and chin. Each implant also has to sit in the correct relationship to the others so the final full-arch bridge fits and functions as intended. With live navigation implant surgery, the CBCT-based plan is displayed during the procedure alongside a live view of the drill's position, much like a GPS route, allowing Dr. Salehani to follow the planned trajectory and make adjustments as he works.

Full-arch treatment is designed for adults who have lost most or all of their teeth in one or both arches, whose remaining teeth are failing, or who are frustrated with removable dentures that slip, rub or require adhesive. It is also an option to explore for patients who have been told elsewhere that they do not have enough bone for implants. Candidacy is determined at consultation, where Dr. Salehani reviews the CBCT scan, bone volume, sinus anatomy, bite and overall medical health. Some patients are better served by individual implants, by bone grafting before implant placement or by a different number of implants per arch, and those options are discussed as part of the evaluation.

Dr. Salehani's training spans both dentistry and medicine. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon who holds dental and medical degrees and completed a general surgery internship, he performs full-arch implant surgery under IV sedation or general anesthesia and reviews each patient's medical history as part of surgical planning. His practice also includes bone grafting, sinus lift procedures, corrective jaw surgery and facial reconstruction, which allows him to consider the jaw as a whole when planning a full-arch case.

"Most of my full-arch patients have spent years dealing with failing teeth or dentures they don't trust, and many of them have been told they don't have enough bone for implants," said Dr. Salehani. "The plan starts with the CBCT scan, because that shows exactly how much bone we have to work with and where the sinus and the nerve are. Navigation lets me carry that plan into surgery and confirm where each implant is going as I place it. Not every patient is a candidate for All-on-X, and part of every consultation is an honest conversation about whether this is the right approach or whether something else will serve them better."

Individual results vary by patient. Anyone considering full-arch dental implants is encouraged to consult with a qualified oral and maxillofacial surgeon to discuss whether the treatment is appropriate for them.

In HelloNation, Accounting Expert Richard A. Atkins Details What Small Business Owners in Cheyenne Should Know About Bookkeeping

Regular Bookkeeping Gives Small Businesses the Financial Visibility Needed to Manage Cash Flow, Prepare for Taxes, and Make Sound Decisions

CHEYENNE, Wyo., Oct. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- What does it actually take to keep a small business's financial records in order, and why does it matter beyond tax season? A HelloNation article answers that question, outlining the core components of bookkeeping and explaining why consistent financial recordkeeping is one of the most valuable practices a small business can maintain.

The article explains that bookkeeping involves more than simply recording money coming in and going out. At its core, it means tracking all income and expenses, categorizing every transaction correctly, and maintaining records that accurately reflect the financial state of the business at any given time. Without that foundation in place, nearly every other financial function becomes harder to manage.

Account reconciliation is a central part of the process, the article notes. This involves comparing internal financial records against bank statements, credit card statements, and other external records to confirm everything matches. Discrepancies caught during reconciliation can reveal errors, missed entries, or in some cases signs of fraudulent activity that might otherwise go undetected for extended periods.

The frequency of bookkeeping should reflect the volume and complexity of the business. For small businesses in Cheyenne with daily sales and multiple vendor payments, the article explains that records need consistent and regular attention. A sole proprietor with a handful of monthly invoices may manage on a lighter schedule, but monthly bookkeeping is a common standard that keeps records clean without requiring daily review.

Payroll tracking is another component that often falls under bookkeeping responsibilities, and the article describes it as an area where errors carry real consequences. Wages, withholdings, and associated tax obligations must be recorded accurately for every pay period. Mistakes in payroll recordkeeping can lead to filing issues and penalties at both the federal and state level, and Wyoming employers are subject to both.

The article highlights cash flow visibility as one of the less obvious benefits of consistent bookkeeping. When financial records are current and accurate, business owners can see exactly where money is coming from, where it is going, and whether the business is trending in the right direction. That clarity is especially useful for businesses in Cheyenne that operate in industries with seasonal revenue patterns, as it helps owners anticipate slower periods and plan around them.

Tax preparation becomes considerably more efficient when bookkeeping has been handled consistently throughout the year, the article notes. An Accounting Expert who receives clean, organized records can prepare a business return far more efficiently than one who has to reconstruct a full year of transactions from bank statements and receipts. That efficiency typically translates directly to lower accounting fees and fewer delays at filing time.

The article acknowledges that software platforms like QuickBooks, Xero, and Wave have made it easier for owners to handle basic bookkeeping in-house. However, it notes that many business owners find the time required to maintain accurate records is better spent running the business itself. Working with a local Accounting Expert or bookkeeping service allows a trained professional to manage the records and catch issues before they develop into larger and more costly problems.

What Small Business Owners in Cheyenne Should Know About Bookkeeping features insights from Richard A. Atkins, Accounting Expert of Cheyenne, Wyoming, in HelloNation.

OAKLAND, Calif., Oct. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The PG&E Corporation Foundation (PG&E Foundation) is awarding five community-based organizations in Northern and Central California a total of $500,000 in grants for local initiatives dedicated to environmental stewardship.

The 2026 grant recipients represent the program's final group, completing the PG&E Foundation's five-year investment in projects that help strengthen local ecosystems and communities.

Since its launch in 2022, the Better Together Nature Positive Innovation Grant Program has invested $2.5 million in 25 organizations across Pacific Gas and Electric Company's (PG&E) service area, advancing environmental stewardship and supporting community-led innovation.

The five organizations will each receive $100,000 through the Better Together Nature Positive Innovation Grant program for leading efforts to preserve California's unique biodiversity, focusing on land, air quality and water stewardship.

Funding for this initiative comes from PG&E shareholders, not customers.

"For 27 years, Sacramento Splash has helped kids connect with the natural world through hands-on science and environmental education. Thanks to PG&E's support, about 7,000 students will experience Project Agriculture, Water, Energy & Environment during the 2026â27 school year, learning where their food comes from and how everyday choices can help create a more sustainable future," said Mackenzie Wieser, Chief Executive Officer, Sacramento Splash.

"We extend our sincere gratitude to all the organizations, partners and community leaders who helped make this program a success. What inspires us most is seeing local organizations turn their deep understanding of their communities into meaningful action, creating lasting impact where it matters most," said Carla Peterman, President, PG&E Corporation, and Chair of The PG&E Corporation Foundation Board.

Grant recipients are based in each of PG&E's five regions: North Coast; North Valley and Sierra; Bay Area; South Bay and Central Coast; and Central Valley. Receiving grants are:

- Noyo Center: Kelp Forest Recovery (Fort Bragg) - Noyo Center restores Mendocino Coast kelp forests by removing invasive urchins and planting bull kelp. The project also supports red abalone recovery and environmental education. These efforts help create healthier, more resilient coastal ecosystems.

- Sacramento Splash (Sacramento) - Project Agriculture, Water, Energy & Environment gives students in grades 2-5 from underserved Sacramento County schools hands-on learning experiences at the Historic Nicolaus Dairy in Elk Grove, often providing their first opportunity to visit a working farm. Students explore agriculture and environmental stewardship by planting and harvesting crops, building compost, observing bees, and learning about water conservation. Grant funding will support educators, transportation for Title I schools, and educational materials, helping the program reach approximately 7,000 students from 231 classes during the 2026-27 school year.

- Friends of Sausal Creek (Oakland) - Friends of Sausal Creek will expand its paid youth stewardship program to provide year-round green job skills training for Oakland youth while helping restore the 2,600-acre Sausal Creek watershed. Participants will gain hands-on experience through habitat restoration, water quality improvements, and kayak-based estuary cleanups. In Jingletown, youth will also design and install a native planting plan and help create a community interpretive sign.

- Point Blue Conservation Science (Bolinas) - Point Blue Conservation Science's program gives K-12 students hands-on experience restoring natural habitats while learning about environmental stewardship. In San Benito County, students, community college interns, residents, and land stewards will work with local partners to plant native vegetation and restore streamside habitat along an important wildlife corridor. The project will improve water quality, wildlife habitat, and climate resilience while providing students with education, job training and career development opportunities in conservation.

- Black Urban Farmers Association (Stockton) â Black Urban Farmers Association (BUFA) has operated a pesticide-free urban farm in Stockton since 2015, providing fresh food and promoting regenerative farming. The project will help BUFA expand to a permanent one-acre site with more green space, education, and sustainable agriculture opportunities. Grant funding will support site planning, environmental reviews, infrastructure, and a community launch, strengthening long-term food security and environmental stewardship.

With the selection of the 2026 grantees, the application period has closed and the Better Together Nature Positive Innovation Grant Program is no longer accepting applications.

In HelloNation, Audiology Expert Dr. Elizabeth Welch of Franklin, TN Explains Why Hearing Aids Whistle and How to Fix It
Image File
Original HTML

FRANKLIN, Tenn., Oct. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Why do hearing aids sometimes produce a high-pitched whistling sound? A HelloNation article breaks down the common causes of hearing aid feedback and distortion, and how adults in Franklin, TN, can resolve these issues with professional guidance and routine care.

The article explains that whistling, also called feedback, occurs when amplified sound leaks from the ear canal and loops back into the hearing aid microphone. This sound loop causes the device to emit a sharp whistle or other distorted noise. While this can be frustrating for users who rely on hearing aids for clear communication, the article emphasizes that feedback is a common and manageable issueânot a sign of device failure.

One of the leading causes of hearing aid feedback is a poor fit. According to the article, if the hearing aid does not sit securely in the ear canal, sound can escape and re-enter the device's microphone. This is more likely to occur if the shape of the ear canal has changed due to aging, weight fluctuations, or ear infections. Custom earmolds and regular professional adjustments help maintain a snug fit, which reduces the likelihood of whistling and improves sound clarity.

Earwax is another frequent cause of hearing aid distortion and feedback. The article highlights how wax buildup in the ear canal can interfere with sound transmission and create pressure that affects the device's performance. In some cases, this results in intermittent whistling or muffled sounds. The article advises adults to keep both their ears and devices clean and to consult audiologists for safe hygiene practices. Regular cleaning and professional inspection help prevent these common issues.

Programming and volume settings also play a role in hearing aid performance. The article points out that devices set too loudly or incorrectly programmed for a given environment may be more prone to feedback. While many modern hearing aids include adaptive feedback cancellation, the article notes that this feature works best when paired with a proper fit and routine hearing aid adjustments.

In Franklin, TN, adults experiencing hearing aid whistling can receive help at audiology centers and ENT clinics. The article explains that professionals will examine the device fit, look for earwax blockages, and check programming levels. Often, small adjustments to volume, frequency response, or mold design can eliminate feedback quickly. If problems persist, clinicians may recommend new components or more advanced features to address the issue long term.

Importantly, the HelloNation article stresses that hearing aid feedback does not mean the device is malfunctioning. Instead, it is a signal that somethingâsuch as fit, ear condition, or programmingâneeds to be addressed. Ignoring the issue may lead to reduced hearing quality and unnecessary frustration, while timely intervention keeps the hearing aid functioning at its best.

Maintenance also plays a major role in preventing feedback and distortion. The article encourages users to clean microphones and receivers regularly, check battery levels, monitor changes in ear anatomy, and store devices correctly. Professionals in Franklin can offer personalized care tips and help schedule regular checkups to ensure continued performance.

By understanding the causes of whistling and taking proactive steps, adults can ensure that hearing aids provide consistent sound and comfort. The article emphasizes that hearing aid adjustments are often simple and effective, allowing users to maintain clear communication and avoid the discomfort of distortion. For those in Franklin and nearby communities, expert support is readily available to keep devices working as intended.

Why Hearing Aids Whistle and How to Fix It features insights from Dr. Elizabeth Welch, Audiology Expert of Franklin, TN, in HelloNation.
