SAMILBIO to Launch New 'Chaeyun' Skincare Products in November, Expands Consumer Touchpoints Through Experiential Exhibitions

Company preparing whitening cream and gel for acne-prone skin care; to seek product consultations and partnership opportunities at K-INNO WEEK

SEOUL, South Korea, Oct. 31, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- SAMILBIO is expanding its cosmetics business with the launch of new skincare products and experiential exhibitions this November. The company, which operates the skincare brand "Chaeyun," will introduce a whitening cream and a gel for acne-prone skin care, and plans to gauge consumer response to the products on-site at its exhibitions.

According to SAMILBIO, the two new products are being prepared for launch in November 2026. The company is also pursuing cosmetics development using patented bacterial strains as a core part of its business. Alongside the product launch, it plans to create opportunities to introduce the products in person and hear feedback on the user experience.

The company is preparing to take part in two events in November. First, it plans to introduce its products and business ideas at the Hoseo University Industry-Academia Cooperation Festival, to be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on November 4. The content of its presentation will be organized to suit the format of its participation, and the specific venue and exhibition layout will be finalized following confirmation.

SAMILBIO will then take part in the "2026 SME Innovation Week (K-INNO WEEK)," to be held November 18â20 at Cheongju OSCO. At the event, the company plans to introduce its products to visitors, focusing on cosmetics experience exhibits and product consultations.

The company's priority at these exhibitions is communicating with consumers who experience its products firsthand. It plans to give visitors the opportunity to try the cosmetics and ask questions, and to use the reactions it observes on-site as a reference when considering directions for product improvement. By holding exhibitions timed with the product launch, the company intends to hear opinions from both consumers and industry professionals on-site.

In addition to delivering product explanations, SAMILBIO plans to observe which aspects visitors show interest in. It will collect feedback from the experience and consultation process and use it to refine its products and business. For a company preparing for a launch, the exhibition floor serves both as an opportunity to widen consumer touchpoints and as a venue to gauge response to its products.

The company is also exploring potential business partnerships. SAMILBIO views K-INNO WEEK as an occasion for small and medium-sized enterprises to showcase their technologies and products and to find opportunities linked to investment and exports. Through this participation, the company plans to promote its cosmetics and related businesses and explore new partnership opportunities by engaging with on-site industry representatives.

Detailed operations for each event will be determined according to the final exhibition layout. Which products will be displayed and whether on-site sales will be offered have not yet been decided. SAMILBIO will finalize its exhibition content to fit the conditions of each event, continuing its preparations around the core approach of product experience and consultation.

SAMILBIO, which opened for business in April 2023, operates the skincare brand Chaeyun and has been developing cosmetics using patented bacterial strains. While continuing related development, the company plans to promote its products through the November launch and event participation. Feedback gathered on-site will be used as a reference when considering directions for improving its products and services.

"At this exhibition, we want to give consumers the chance to try our cosmetics firsthand and ask questions," SAMILBIO said. "We plan to observe how people respond to our products on-site, introduce our business and products, and explore new possibilities for collaboration."

Wulcea Elevates Consumer Trust in Heated Apparel Through Multi-National Safety Certifications and Rigorous Technical Testing

NEW YORK, Oct. 31, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- As smart heated clothing gains broader adoption, consumers are paying closer attention to the safety and reliability of the technology behind these products. Wulcea, a brand specializing in graphene-powered heated apparel, combines its flexible GrapheneNano⢠heating technology with documented safety compliance and durability testing for its heating components and battery systems.

"Trust in smart heated apparel goes beyond warmthâit comes down to confidence in battery safety and heating element reliability," said John C, Founder of Wulcea. "Our goal is to give users peace of mind through certified technical standards."

Advanced Graphene Heating Elements Supported by Global Standards

At the core of Wulcea's thermal architecture is its GrapheneNano⢠heating technology. Engineered to eliminate garment stiffness, Wulcea integrates flexible graphene elements that deliver balanced warmth across key upper-body zones while preserving natural garment drape and full freedom of movement.

Wulcea supports its heating components with applicable compliance documentation for major markets. These include CE and FCC compliance documentation addressing relevant electrical and electromagnetic compatibility requirements, as well as PSE compliance for applicable products in Japan. RoHS compliance further addresses restrictions on specified hazardous substances in applicable electrical and electronic components.

Multi-Certified Battery System for Dependable Power

To power its heating elements, Wulcea pairs its heated apparel with rechargeable battery systems designed for convenient everyday use. Featuring a compact design and housed in dedicated interior pockets, the batteries provide portable power while maintaining a streamlined garment profile and comfortable fit.

Wulcea backs its battery options with comprehensive third-party accreditations. UL certification demonstrates that the battery system has been evaluated against recognized power bank safety requirements, covering key areas such as overcharge protection, short-circuit protection, and thermal safety. The battery systems are also supported by applicable CE and FCC compliance documentation, addressing relevant regulatory requirements for electrical and electromagnetic compatibility.

For daily handling and travel, RoHS compliance validates that the battery system meets stringent global standards for material safety. The battery models have also undergone applicable UN 38.3 testing, supporting compliance with international requirements for lithium battery transportation.

Real-World Durability and Practical Usability

Component compliance forms Wulcea's foundation, but reliability is defined by real-world performance. Built for high-flex endurance, Wulcea's flexible graphene heating elements are tested through 10,000 active flexing cycles to maintain steady thermal output through repeated bending and everyday body movement.

Everyday convenience is equally essential. Built for hassle-free care, Wulcea's heating elements withstand 100 machine-wash cycles under standard care guidelines, maintaining internal conductivity and structural stability under repeated laundering.

Integrated NTC temperature sensors provide thermal monitoring and are designed to stop heating if temperatures exceed 131°F (55°C). Combined with runtime of up to 10 hours on the low setting and a discreet interior control button, these features support practical everyday use in cold-weather conditions.

Aligning Technical Standards with Everyday Warmth

By combining graphene-based heating technology with documented battery safety compliance and durability testing, Wulcea continues to focus on the technical foundations of dependable heated apparel. This approach reflects the brand's emphasis on bringing together safety considerations, practical functionality, and everyday comfort for cold-weather use.

White Paper Outlining Strategies to Address Rural AI Skills Gaps and Support Workforce Retention Published by the University of Phoenix College of Doctoral Studies
Image File

Author Dr. Stella Smith draws on Career Optimism Index® study to explore informal AI adoption, limited employer resources and career pathway challenges facing rural workers and businesses.

PHOENIX, Oct. 31, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- University of Phoenix College of Doctoral Studies has published a new white paper, "Bridging the Rural AI Skills Gap: Overcoming Informal Adoption, Resource Constraints, and Career Pathway Traps," by Stella Smith, Ph.D., associate university research chair for the Center for Educational and Instructional Technology Research (CEITR). Drawing on findings from the University of Phoenix Career Institute® 2026 Career Optimism Index® study and published workforce research, the paper examines how independent artificial intelligence (AI) skill development, limited organizational resources and unclear career pathways can create workforce challenges for rural employers and communities.

In the white paper, Smith explores how a growing disconnect between workers developing AI capabilities and employers' readiness to support and recognize those skills may be particularly consequential in rural labor markets, where smaller businesses, limited access to formal training and fewer local career opportunities can complicate workforce development and increase concerns about retaining AI-skilled talent.

"Rural workers may already be building valuable AI capabilities on their own, but employers need systems that help recognize, develop and apply those skills," said Smith. "For smaller communities, the challenge is not simply keeping pace with technology. It is creating accessible training, clear career pathways and organizational support so that emerging capabilities can contribute to both individual career growth and local economic resilience."

How is informal AI adoption affecting workforce development?

In the white paper, Smith draws on findings from the 2026 Career Optimism Index® national study examining workers' career perceptions and employers' workforce challenges, highlighting several trends shaping AI skills development and organizational readiness:

- 50% of workers report learning to use AI independently, without formal employer training.

- 60% of workers say they want more guidance in learning AI tools.

- 62% of employers say employees are developing AI skills faster than their organizations can adapt.

- 48% of employers are concerned about their ability to retain AI-fluent talent.

Applying these national workforce findings to rural economic conditions, where employers may have fewer resources to provide structured AI training or establish formal processes for evaluating emerging skills, the paper also examines potential risks associated with informal, uncoordinated AI adoption, including inconsistent workplace practices, data governance concerns and missed opportunities to recognize employees' developing capabilities.

Why do rural communities face distinct AI workforce challenges?

Rural labor markets often depend on small and medium-sized businesses, agricultural enterprises, healthcare organizations and public institutions that may lack dedicated training resources or the infrastructure needed to support organization-wide AI adoption. Smith's analysis identifies three interconnected challenges: reliance on self-directed AI learning, organizational constraints on workforce development and limited local career pathways that recognize newly acquired skills.

Without structured opportunities to apply and develop these capabilities, AI-fluent rural workers may increasingly consider employment with organizations offering clearer professional development opportunities, including remote positions outside their local communities.

The paper suggests that addressing these challenges requires regional approaches that connect workforce education, employer needs and career development.

What strategies can help rural employers close AI skills gaps?

Smith proposes a three-part roadmap to help rural employers, educational institutions and workforce development organizations support responsible AI adoption and skills development:

- Build regional education and industry collaborations. Encourage employers, higher education institutions and workforce organizations to pool training resources and develop accessible, industry-aligned learning opportunities, including stackable credentials that document AI competencies.

- Establish transparent skills assessment and career pathways. Identify existing AI capabilities, clarify expectations for AI use and connect skills development to defined opportunities for employees to apply their knowledge and pursue professional growth.

- Equip managers to support AI skills development. Prepare supervisors to identify appropriate AI applications, evaluate AI-assisted work and guide employees in developing and applying new capabilities.

The roadmap emphasizes moving beyond informal experimentation toward coordinated workforce development practices that support both organizational needs and employees' career goals.

Smith concludes that strengthening AI skills development in rural communities will require collaboration among employers, education providers and regional leaders. By aligning training, skills recognition and career development, these stakeholders can help rural organizations make better use of emerging AI capabilities while supporting local workforce resilience.

The full white paper is available on the Research Hub.

DUBAI, UAE, Oct. 31, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- New Clark City, Philippines, hosts "switch-on" ceremony as New7Wonders opens worldwide public voting on www.7wondersfc.com to choose the urban developments shaping our future.

New7Wonders today officially launched global public voting for the 7 Wonders of Future Cities, in a landmark ceremony hosted in the Philippines on World Cities Day, marking the beginning of a year of worldwide participation, inviting people everywhere to vote for the cities and urban developments they believe best represent the future of urban life, which will culminate with the official declaration of the seven winning cities and developments on 31 October 2027.

Hosted and organised by New Clark City, an Official Participant in the 7 Wonders of Future Cities campaign and one of the Philippines' flagship urban development projects, the special switch-on ceremony brought together city leaders, media and invited guests to witness the activation of the global voting platform.

Jean-Paul de la Fuente, Director of New7Wonders and Chairman of the 7 Wonders of Future Cities campaign, led the official switch-on. In a ceremonial moment, the campaign website at www.7wondersfc.com was transformed from its presentation format into the worldwide public voting platform, opening the opportunity for citizens across the globe to participate in selecting the urban visions that will define the cities of tomorrow. "Today, from the Philippines to the world, we have switched on more than a voting platform - we have switched on a global conversation about the future of our cities," said de la Fuente. "For the next year, people everywhere have the opportunity to discover, engage with and champion the places they believe should become global symbols of urban progress."

The 7 Wonders of Future Cities is a worldwide participation campaign from New7Wonders, the global authority behind the New 7 Wonders of the World and the New 7 Wonders of Nature, and is organised by Global Platform Limited, its Dubai, UAE-based worldwide licensing and commercial arm. Building on the extraordinary worldwide engagement of previous campaigns, which together have generated more than 600 million votes, the new initiative shifts the focus from celebrating humanity's natural and historical wonders to recognising the places being created and transformed for humanity's future. Participating cities and developments are brought together through three central themes: Environmental & Nature, Smart City and Human-Centric development. These reflect the conviction that successful future cities must balance ecological responsibility, technological progress and the needs and aspirations of the people who inhabit them.

Race for Life Rescue Marks 200 Rescue Flights Carrying Shelter Animals to New Homes

From a Hurricane Ian evacuation in 2022 to more than 12,000 dogs and cats flown, the nonprofit has helped shelters in more than 30 states

ANNAPOLIS, Md., Oct. 31, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Race for Life Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that flies at-risk dogs and cats from overcrowded shelters and disaster zones to shelters with room and waiting adopters, completed its 200th rescue mission on Oct. 14, flying 112 animals from Louisiana to the Northeast. The milestone comes four years after the organization's first flight. Since then, it has flown more than 12,000 animals, working with shelters in more than 30 states.

Through Dec. 31, founder Jim DeFrancesco is matching every donation, so each gift to keep the plane flying does twice the good.

"An airplane is simply a machine until you give it a purpose," said Jim DeFrancesco, founder and chief pilot of Race for Life Rescue. "When the aircraft door opens at the destination and you see rescue workers waiting to receive them, you realize that the flight wasn't simply transportation. For those animals, it was a flight to a new life."

It started with one flight

On Oct. 2, 2022, Race for Life Rescue flew its first mission, carrying relief supplies from Nashville, Tennessee, to Naples, Florida, after Hurricane Ian. The plane returned with nearly 40 displaced cats bound for adoption. Since then, the team has averaged about one mission a week, with 49 missions and 3,267 animals flown so far in 2026. Every flight is planned with shelter partners and tracked on the organization's flight map.

A commuter plane, rebuilt for rescue

Race for Life Rescue at a glance:

- Aircraft: a 1999 Beechcraft 1900D, a 19-passenger commuter plane converted to carry more than 100 crated animals in a climate-controlled cabin

- Range: about 1,000 nautical miles in under five hours, a trip that can take 20 to 25 hours by road

- Registered with the U.S. Department of Agriculture as an animal carrier

- Sending shelters screen every animal before boarding, and a partner representative flies on every mission

Shelters don't pay for flights. Race for Life Rescue covers the cost with support from donors, foundations and partners, including BISSELL Pet Foundation and the ASPCA, who help connect overcrowded shelters with places that have room.
