Chrysanthemum Festival Returns October 16, 2026

KENNETT SQUARE, Pa., Oct. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Featuring thousands of chrysanthemums in fanciful forms, beautiful fall foliage, and a bewitching lineup of seasonal programming, Longwood Gardens invites guests to experience Autumn's Colors from October 2 through November 15, 2026. As temperatures cool and the Gardens are transformed by hues of gold and red, guests can explore the art and beauty of horticulture by day and night.

Chrysanthemum Festival Returns With New Forms

"Our Autumn display pairs nature's colorful foliage with the ancient artistry of chrysanthemum training," says Chris Cole, Vice President of Horticulture at Longwood Gardens. "More than 5,000 chrysanthemum plants are on display, many carefully sculpted by our expert horticulturists into spirals, clouds, and other forms for an exhibit that takes more than a year of planning and is only on view for a few weeks."

Beginning October 16, the East and Main Conservatories are transformed into a vibrant showcase of horticultural artistry for Chrysanthemum Festival. In the conservatories, guests move through more than 5,000 chrysanthemum plants trained into sculptural forms including spirals and cascading clouds in gem-toned hues of yellow, orange, lavender, and maroon. New this year is a double chrysanthemum arch. In the Bonsai Workshop, students and staff present a chrysanthemum bonsai display.

In the Exhibition Hall, a live chrysanthemum curtain is the backdrop to a new display inspired by the Japanese artform of suiseki. Sometimes called viewing stones, suiseki appreciates naturally occurring stones for their resemblance to natural landscapes like mountains, islands, and waterfalls. Longwood has created chrysanthemum forms, some as large as 10-feet long, inspired by suiseki.

From 1 to 3 pm on Saturday, October 24, Longwood's Science Series celebrates the artistry and science of chrysanthemums with "Meet Us at the Mums." Members of Longwood's Science team will be stationed throughout the conservatories to field questions about their techniques, research, and the horticultural mastery behind the iconic Chrysanthemum Festival. Free with Gardens Admission, advance registration suggested.

A New Kind of Fountain Show for Halloween

Longwood's Main Fountain Garden presents its final Illuminated Fountain Performances of the year at 8:15 pm on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through October 31. New for 2026, the Symphony of Horror Illuminated Fountain Performance on October 23 is a dynamic after-dark performance combining projected scenes from the classic film Nosferatu with live organ music performed by Longwood Gardens Principal Organist Peter Richard Conte. Finishing out the lineup, the family-favorite Halloween Magic Illuminated Fountain Performance returns for performances on October 24, 25, and 31.

Fall Color, Indoors and Out

Autumn hues paint the Gardens indoors and out. Longwood's lush conservatories transition from summer to fall with ornamental peppers, coppery sedges, bold coleus, and colorful coral bells.

Changing foliage is the signature outdoor feature, and three treehouses offer striking views of peak gold and burgundy hues. Climb the Birdhouse Treehouse for a 20-foot view of the surrounding foliage, wander through the ADA accessible Lookout Loft to listen to the gentle hush of falling leaves, or step inside the Canopy Cathedral Treehouse for a serene overview of the Large Lake framed by dawn redwoods, sour-gums, and oaks.

New this season, families can gather beneath the shade of the London Plane-trees in the West Conservatory Plaza for Storytime on October 8, 15, 22, 29 at 11 am. Designed for children ages 3-6, Longwood educators read two to three seasonally-inspired stories at each session.

From October 3-31, a fall harvest display adorns the Rose Arbor, Idea Garden, and Peirce-du Pont House Plaza with iconic showings of bronzed ornamental grasses, richly-hued mums, pink and purple celosias, and whimsical gourds.

The beloved Garden Railway returns with miniature Longwood landmarks, seasonal blooms, and dozens of engines running beneath a canopy of maples and white birches.

Seasonal Garden Dining

For a dining experience immersed in the season's colors, the Beer Garden offers an al fresco location beneath a canopy of golden ginkgo trees. Guests can enjoy seasonal fare, craft drinks, and live music Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings through November 1.

1906, Longwood's signature restaurant, features a seasonal menu showcasing crisp produce such as cabbage, kale, peppers, and lettuces that are harvested daily from Longwood's Idea Garden. 1906 Offers lunch Monday and Thursday with both lunch and dinner service Friday through Sunday through November 1.

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas to Unveil The Corner Store November 9

The Corner Store Las Vegas will welcome guests seven nights a week: Sunday – Thursday 5 p.m. – 10 p.m and Friday and Saturday 5 p.m. – Late. Reservations are now available via The Cosmopolitan online or by calling (702) 675-9828.

CULINARY PROGRAM

Under the leadership of Chef Vignola, in collaboration with The Corner Store Las Vegas Executive Chef Daniel Bernardo, the menu champions an ingredient-first approach to elevated American classics. Signature offerings include:

- Lobster & Caviar Rolls with tarragon-celery remoulade

- Five Cheese Pizza Rolls served with whipped ranch

- The Corner Store Caesar featuring everything bagel croutons and cream cheese croquettes

- The Wagyu French Dip, spotlighting a 72-hour slow-roasted Westholme Australian ribeye

Exclusive to Las Vegas, guests can also experience an expanded selection of premium meats and hand-cut steaks from The Butcher's Counter, anchored by the Rosewood Ranch Wagyu Tomahawk and Wagyu Porterhouse. Seasonal crudos, market-driven salads and larger-format shared plates round out the menu, offering a vibrant, communal style of dining tailored to the city.

BEVERAGE PORTFOLIO

The same attention to detail, precision and ingredient-led philosophy found in the kitchen will carry through to the cocktail program, with the Martini once again at its center. Led by Lucas Robinson, Catch Hospitality Group Beverage Director, in partnership with The Cosmopolitan's Head of Mixology Gedeon Tsegaye, the menu will feature SoHo favorites, including the Tomato Martini and Sour Cream & Onion Martini, alongside new creations exclusive to Las Vegas, including a Vegas-inspired take on Oli's Dirty Martini served with a trio of mascarpone caviar olives.

House-made ingredients, premium spirits and techniques such as infusion, cryovac, sous vide, milk washing and oil washing will remain central to the program. The beverage menu will also feature The Corner Store's signature Martini Service, a large-format pour designed to serve two to three guests, alongside a thoughtful wine list curated by Catch Hospitality Group Wine Director Emily Buse, recognized by Wine Spectator as one of the top 50 sommeliers in the U.S., and Master Sommelier and Executive Director of Wine for MGM Resorts Douglas Kim.

DESIGN

Crafted by Rockwell Group—the visionary firm behind The Corner Store's original SoHo location—the Las Vegas outpost translates the warmth and lived-in character of a classic New York neighborhood spot to the grand scale and glamour of The Cosmopolitan.

Elevated on the resort's third floor rather than tucked along a traditional streetscape, the restaurant reveals itself through an intimate storefront designed to capture the intrigue of a hidden New York corner store. Wood-framed doors and tinted fluted glass anchor a dramatic façade layered with amber drapery, illuminated stained-glass artwork and Art Deco-inspired accents.

Inside, the venue unfolds across a sequence of distinct yet interconnected spaces rich with burl wood, antique mirrors, marble, velvet and warm vintage lighting. Guests transition from a classic main bar into the Martini Room—centered around a striking green onyx bar—before arriving in the main dining room, whose design channels the romance of vintage train cars. Tailored banquettes, herringbone wood floors, arched architectural details and a curated gallery of New York City photography seamlessly connect the space to the downtown edge and nostalgia of the SoHo original.

Adjacent to the main dining area, a dedicated private dining room accommodating up to 24 guests will feature golden plaster, polished burl wood, layered lighting and a flexible partition that can divide the room into two more intimate spaces. Additional group dining and event options are available and can be secured with The Cosmopolitan's Group dining team by emailing [email protected].

The opening of The Corner Store at The Cosmopolitan expands the collaboration between MGM Resorts and Catch Hospitality Group. The two companies first partnered to open CATCH at ARIA Resort & Casino in 2018.

GIGABYTE AI TOP ATOM 64GB Unified Memory Version Expands Possibilities for Desktop AI Development

TAIPEI, Oct. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- GIGABYTE today announced the launch of a new 64GB unified memory version of GIGABYTE AI TOP ATOM, expanding its existing 128GB offering. Available starting October 23, the new configuration retains the hardware design of AI TOP ATOM, based on the NVIDIA DGX Spark platform, giving developers, researchers, and enterprise teams greater flexibility to select the configuration that best fits their AI workloads and memory requirements, while enabling dedicated on-premises AI development environments.

As generative AI and agentic AI applications continue to evolve, model testing, data processing, and application validation are becoming increasingly integral to everyday development workflows. GIGABYTE AI TOP ATOM integrates AI computing capabilities into a compact desktop form factor, enabling users to perform model inference, prototype development, and data analysis in offices, laboratories, and educational environments. By running models and processing data locally, users can maintain greater control over development resources and project data while reducing reliance on cloud computing resources.

The new 64GB unified memory version, together with the existing high-capacity 128GB version, creates a more comprehensive AI TOP ATOM product lineup. Users can evaluate and select the memory capacity that best matches their model sizes, workflows, and multitasking requirements, enabling them to develop AI applications on the same platform and progress from early proof-of-concept development to practical deployment. With built-in ConnectX-7 networking, developers can cluster up to 4 units with NVIDIA Sync for larger memory pool and compute capability.

On the software side, AI TOP ATOM integrates NVIDIA CUDA accelerated AI software ecosystem with GIGABYTE AI TOP Utility, providing capabilities including model downloading, inference, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) to help users establish local AI workflows. Developers can explore open models, test AI assistants, or leverage their own documents to build knowledge-based question-and-answer applications, allowing them to continuously refine and validate solutions based on project requirements and accelerate the transition from ideas to real-world applications.

GIGABYTE is also continuing to explore the potential of AI TOP ATOM for agentic AI applications. In a multi-node scientific computing demonstration, GIGABYTE integrated NVIDIA Nemotron open models with the NVIDIA NemoClaw open agent blueprint to connect research hypothesis generation with simulation workflows, demonstrating the potential of AI agents to support scientific research. Through the continued integration of hardware platforms, software tools, and real-world applications, GIGABYTE is committed to expanding the use cases for desktop AI computing.

With the addition of the 64GB unified memory version, AI TOP ATOM is now available in both 128GB and 64GB configurations, addressing the needs of users across different stages of AI development and application scales. GIGABYTE will continue to expand its AI TOP product portfolio and software ecosystem, helping individuals and enterprise teams build on-premises AI capabilities and bring AI from technology exploration into everyday applications.

The GIGABYTE AI TOP ATOM 64GB unified memory version is officially available starting October 23, 2026. Product availability, sales channels, and pricing may vary by region. Please refer to GIGABYTE's official announcements and authorized local distributors for details.

CALIFORNIA DATES CELEBRATES NATIONAL CALIFORNIA DATE MONTH WITH A TIMES SQUARE TAKEOVER AND A NATIONAL "BUILD A BETTER BITE" CONTEST

New Campaign Highlights Nutrient Density, Culinary Versatility, and "Making Every Bite Count" for Busy Lifestyles and Changing Appetites

PALM DESERT, Calif., Oct. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The California Date Commission announces the kickoff of National California Date Month, celebrated throughout October. This year's campaign spotlights California Dates across New York's Times Square with an eye-catching dual-sided digital billboard and offers culinary inspiration to help consumers make every bite count with the launch of a nationwide "Build a Better Bite" consumer contest.

Grown in Southern California's Coachella Valley—which produces approximately 85% of all dates grown in the United States—California Dates are America's only naturally dry fresh fruit. Picked at peak ripeness, washed, sorted, and shipped fresh with zero added sugar or artificial processing, California Dates provide a nutrient-dense whole-food foundation. A 40-gram serving (about 2 jumbo Medjool dates or 6 medium-size Deglet Noor dates) delivers 3 grams of dietary fiber, six essential B vitamins, seven essential minerals (including potassium and magnesium), and antioxidant polyphenols.

Key Campaign Highlights for October:

- High-Visibility Times Square Takeover: Following a high-profile summer campaign featuring tennis legend and California Dates Sports Nutrition Ambassador Michael Chang, the Commission returns to Times Square throughout October with a bold, two-sided digital billboard. The new creative spotlights California origin on the left ("The Best Dates Are Still From California") and everyday flavor on the right ("Naturally Sweet, Crazy Delicious").

- "Making Every Bite Count" in an Era of Smaller Portions: Whether driven by fast-paced lifestyles, reduced appetite associated with GLP-1 therapies, efforts to manage blood glucose, or improving diet quality, many Americans are eating less food—making nutrient density and mealtime satisfaction more critical than ever. In collaboration with emergency physician, chef, and culinary medicine expert Dr. Sonali Ruder (The Foodie Physician), the Commission is introducing the "Power Date Bite" framework. By pairing fresh California Dates (low glycemic index of 42 per 100 grams) with lean proteins, healthy fats, and tasty, nutritious toppings, consumers can easily turn small portions into satisfying, nutrient-dense power bites. For more information about Making Every Bite Count in the GLP-1 Era & Beyond, visit CaliforniaDates.com/GLP-1-nutrition

- "Build a Better Bite" National Consumer Contest: Inviting home cooks, wellness enthusiasts, and food lovers to get creative in the kitchen, the Commission is launching a nationwide consumer recipe contest throughout October and November. Contestants are challenged to craft and submit two original creations: one sweet and one savory Power Date Bite, utilizing California Medjool Dates as the nutrient-dense, fiber-rich whole-fruit base paired with lean proteins, healthy fats, and tasty, nutritious toppings. Full contest details, entry guidelines, and prize announcements are available at woobox.com/chk36f.

- Healthy, Diabetes-Friendly Recipes: To support balanced eating, the Commission is offering a free digital recipe book filled with diabetes-friendly dishes—from savory recipes such as California Dates and Harissa Salmon or California Date, Pear, & Mozzarella Pizza, to sweet, satisfying desserts and snacks such as California Date Truffles and California Date & Avocado Pudding—demonstrating how whole California dates can naturally fit into everyday meal and snack planning. The California Dates Sweet & Savory Digital Recipe Book is available for download at californiadates.com/national-california-date-month/. All recipes in this collection were created for California Dates by Registered Dietitians or by Dr. Sonali Ruder (The Foodie Physician), and were approved by the American Diabetes Association® Diabetes Food Hub.

"Whether you are fueling an active lifestyle or simply looking to pack more wholesome nutrition into smaller meals and snacks, California Dates deliver natural sweetness with real substance," said Kristy Kneiding, Executive Director, California Date Commission. "We are excited to celebrate National California Date Month and bring that inspiration directly to consumers, healthcare and nutrition professionals, chefs, foodservice professionals, and produce aisles nationwide."

Heartland Dental Welcomes Foundation Dental Partners into Its Supported Network

Key transaction by Heartland Dental and its supported practices expands opportunities for supported doctors, teams and practices while strengthening Heartland Dental's supported footprint throughout the Southeast

EFFINGHAM, Ill., Oct. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Heartland Dental, the nation's largest dental support organization (DSO), today announced the closing of its key transaction with Foundation Dental Partners, a doctor-focused dental support organization with 33 supported practices across Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Kentucky. The affiliation brings together two organizations united by a shared commitment to clinical autonomy, supporting exceptional patient care and experiences while helping create opportunities for doctors and teams to thrive.

The transaction builds on Heartland Dental's decades-long approach to increase our nation's access to oral healthcare via its DeNovo and Affiliation models. Over the past 13 months, Heartland Dental welcomed Smile Design Dentistry and its 60 supported practices, as well as Inspire Dental Group and nearly two-dozen solo practices. Further, the company's De Novo program has collaborated to open 51 offices in 2026 with a goal of 68 by year-end.

Foundation Dental Partners has built a reputation for supporting doctors through a philosophy centered on clinical excellence, collaboration and professional growth. Like Heartland Dental, Foundation is committed to a doctor-led culture and support model that empowers supported doctors and their teams to focus on patient care.

"Foundation Dental Partners has established an exceptional network of high-quality supported doctors and practices with a strong reputation for providing world-class dental experiences throughout the Southeast," shared Pat Bauer, President and CEO of Heartland Dental. "Foundation is a great example of the type of organization we seek to affiliate with, one that shares our doctor-led culture and philosophy, commitment to supporting clinical excellence and dedication to helping doctors grow their careers. By combining Foundation's talented doctors and teams with Heartland Dental's world-class support model, we can create even greater opportunities to support doctor success as they deliver exceptional patient care."

Together, Foundation Dental Partners and Heartland Dental will create new opportunities for doctors and teams, including access to the industry's most comprehensive clinical, professional, and leadership development programs through Heartland Dental University, along with support services spanning operations, marketing, technology, payor relations, human resources, procurement and more. A key principle guiding the affiliation is business continuity and helping to ensure patients continue to receive the exceptional patient experiences from the doctors, hygienists and team members they know and trust.

"Since our founding, we have focused on supporting doctors, investing in people and building a culture where teams can grow and succeed," said Adam Ditto, Foundation Dental Partners CEO. "Heartland Dental shares those same values. This affiliation provides exciting opportunities for our doctors and teams while preserving the relationships, culture and commitment to patient care that have defined Foundation Dental Partners."

In addition to expanded professional development and non-clinical support, Foundation Dental Partners supported practices will gain access to the technology and innovations Heartland Dental continues to invest in to help supported doctors elevate patient care, including artificial intelligence powered by VideaAI, digital scanning and aligner technologies, and access to world-class supplies and laboratory partnerships. Together, these resources help supported doctors and teams continue growing, delivering exceptional patient care and advancing their professional goals.

"This accelerating growth reflects the strong response from supported doctors to Heartland Dental's breadth of support, and we look forward to building on that momentum," said Mark Greenstein, EVP & Chief Growth Officer. Foundation doctors and their teams will gain access to Heartland Dental's world-class training, advanced technologies, expanded support services and dedicated teams focused on helping them achieve their clinical and personal goals.

The affiliation with Foundation Dental Partners reflects Heartland Dental's continued commitment to affiliating with exceptional doctors that share its core values. As Heartland Dental continues to grow, the company remains focused on identifying opportunities to bring its support model to more high-quality practices across the nation.

Ropes & Gray LLP acted as legal advisor to Heartland Dental in the transaction.

Truist Securities served as lead financial advisor and DLA Piper LLP served as legal counsel to Foundation Dental Partners.

The Alfred I. duPont Charitable Trust, The Nemours Foundation, and State of Delaware Launch Historic Agreement to Advance Childhood Health
Image File

WILMINGTON, Del., Oct. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Alfred I. duPont Charitable Trust, The Nemours Foundation, and the Delaware Attorney General's Office today announced a landmark agreement among the Trust, the State of Delaware, the State of Florida, and The Nemours Foundation, committing $950 million over 11 years to promote the health and well-being of Delaware's children for generations to come.

The agreement establishes the Alfred I. duPont Charitable Fund for Delaware's Children, a new grantmaking arm that will fund nonprofit programs focused on children's health and well-being in Delaware.

"This collaboration directly delivers on Mr. duPont's vision," said Thomas G. Kuntz, Chairman of the Alfred I. duPont Charitable Trust. "Children's health is our founder's enduring legacy, and we remain committed to advancing that mission. By creating this new fund, we're continuing to invest in what matters most: a future where all of Delaware's children can achieve and thrive."

The Alfred I. duPont Charitable Trust is one of the nation's largest philanthropic supporters of children's health. Since 1980, it has distributed more than $5 billion to The Nemours Foundation, in support of Alfred I. duPont's vision of healthier lives for children. Those investments have provided generations of Delaware's Children with access to high-quality pediatric care, advanced innovation, and supported Nemours' growth into one of the nation's largest pediatric health systems. For more than 90 years, Nemours has cared for Delaware's children, providing a comprehensive range of pediatric services, from primary and preventive care to the most advanced specialty, surgical, and life-saving treatments.

"Alfred I. duPont was the greatest philanthropist in the history of our state, and his dying wish was a bequest to Delaware's kids," said Delaware Attorney General Kathy Jennings. "Our office has worked for roughly 50 years, through seven attorneys general, in two states, to fulfill that dream. His vision has already delivered the region's gold standard for children's healthcare; this collaboration dramatically expands his impact on Delaware. This resolution between the parties represents a watershed moment for the future of every child in our state."

"This agreement reflects the enduring power of the vision Alfred I. duPont set in motion nearly a century ago. Delaware holds a special place in that story," said R. Lawrence Moss, M.D., FACS, FAAP, President and CEO of Nemours Children's Health. "We are proud and grateful that the vision born in Delaware continues to flourish here, inspiring new possibilities and helping build a healthier future for children and families for generations."

The establishment of the Alfred I. duPont Charitable Fund for Delaware's Children marks a new chapter of cooperation between the Trust, the State of Delaware, and Nemours and a shared commitment to improving outcomes for Delaware's children.

The fund will be governed by a committee of directors, including three committee directors appointed by the Trust and one committee director appointed by the Governor of Delaware. Grantmaking activities will continue beyond the $950 million, 11-year funding commitment and will include distributions of at least $237.5 million to Nemours' Delaware initiatives, ensuring a continued connection to its roots.

About the Alfred I. duPont Charitable Trust. Established in 1935 from the estate of industrialist and philanthropist Alfred I. duPont, the Trust's mission is to alleviate human suffering. As stewards of Mr. duPont's will and his vision for healthier lives for children, the Trustees preserve the Nemours Estate and provide resources to its sole qualified beneficiary, The Nemours Foundation, which operates Nemours Children's Health. Aspiring to be the most impactful charitable organization focused on children's health, the Trust has grown into one of the nation's largest charitable foundations, enabling Nemours Children's Health to become a global leader in pediatric care.

The Nemours Foundation is one of the nation's largest multistate pediatric health systems, which includes two free-standing children's hospitals and a network of more than 80 primary, specialty, and urgent care practices. Nemours seeks to transform the health of children by adopting a holistic health model that utilizes innovative, safe, and high-quality care while also caring for the health of the whole child beyond medicine. Nemours also supports research, education, advocacy and prevention programs to the children, families and communities it serves. For more information, visit Nemours.org.
