JUBILEE Biomedical Ranks Among the Top 2% of 260 Exhibitors

Organized by COSMETIC VALLEY, a French government-recognized competitiveness cluster, COSMETIC 360 is held annually at the Carrousel du Louvre and connects startups with groups such as L'Oréal, LVMH Research and Estée Lauder. Powered by the company's proprietary eSIP® cold plasma technology, which brings Taiwan's semiconductor precision to skincare, JUBI Plasma uses a single mode below 40°C to address nine skincare areas, from blemish-prone skin and dullness to pores, fine lines and facial contour.

The company's cold plasma technology previously drew international attention at a 2023 innovation competition co-organized by Silicon Valley accelerator Plug and Play, where it was described as having the potential to become a "Cold Plasma Unicorn."

"We are proud to bring Taiwan's innovation to the world!" said Judy Li, founder and CEO of JUBILEE Biomedical, in her acceptance remarks.

Dental Expert Dr. Landon B. Rockwell Explains the Hidden Benefits of Routine Dental Exams in HelloNation
Image File
Original HTML

The Article Explains How Regular Dental Checkups Help Prevent Tooth Decay, Protect Gum Health, and Identify Oral Health Problems Early.

TOOELE, Utah, Oct. 19, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- What are the benefits of routine dental exams beyond checking for cavities? A HelloNation article answers that question with insights from Dental Expert Dr. Landon B. Rockwell of Rosewood Family Dentistry in Tooele, Utah.

The article explains how routine dental exams support preventive dental care by identifying problems before noticeable symptoms develop. Regular visits allow dental professionals to examine teeth, gums, and surrounding tissues for early signs of decay, inflammation, and other oral health concerns.

According to the HelloNation article, protecting tooth enamel is an important part of maintaining healthy teeth. Enamel serves as the outer defense against decay and sensitivity. Dental examinations can reveal early enamel wear, grinding damage, and areas where bacteria may cause problems.

The article describes how tooth decay develops when bacteria feed on sugars and produce acids that weaken enamel. Daily brushing and flossing help control bacterial buildup, but professional cleanings remove hardened plaque that home care cannot eliminate. These preventive measures help reduce the risk of cavities and gum disease.

Fluoride treatment is another benefit discussed in the HelloNation feature. Fluoride helps strengthen weakened enamel and increases resistance to acid damage. The article notes that children and adults at higher risk for cavities may benefit from additional fluoride protection during dental visits.

The article also highlights saliva's importance in maintaining oral health. Saliva helps wash away food particles, neutralize acids, and deliver minerals that protect teeth. Reduced saliva production can lead to dry mouth, increasing the risk of cavities, gum irritation, and bad breath.

Drawing on insights from Dental Expert Dr. Landon B. Rockwell, the article explains that dental professionals can identify signs of dry mouth during examinations. Patients may benefit from improved hydration, sugar-free lozenges, or reviewing medications that contribute to dryness.

Gum health is another major focus of routine dental exams. The HelloNation article explains that dentists check for swelling, bleeding, and gum recession that may indicate developing gum disease. Early treatment and improved oral hygiene can help prevent inflammation from progressing into more serious problems.

The article also examines the role of oral cancer screenings in preventive care. Dentists look for unusual sores, patches, or changes in oral tissues that may require further evaluation. Identifying concerning changes early can improve the chances of timely diagnosis and treatment.

Dental X-rays offer another way to identify problems that a visual exam may miss. The article notes that imaging can reveal hidden decay, bone loss, and damage beneath existing dental restorations. Protective sealants may also help younger patients prevent cavities in hard-to-clean grooves.

The HelloNation feature emphasizes that professional cleanings remain important even for patients who maintain strong brushing and flossing habits. Regular tartar removal and oral tissue exams help prevent minor concerns from becoming more complicated dental problems.

The article concludes that routine dental exams provide benefits beyond cavity detection. Regular checkups, preventive treatments, and personalized oral hygiene guidance work together to protect enamel, support healthy gums, and maintain long-term oral health.

Understanding the Hidden Benefits of Routine Dental Exams features insights from Dr. Landon B. Rockwell, a dental expert in Tooele, Utah, in HelloNation.

First ground-up CITY HOME showroom marks a major milestone in the retailer's growth across Tampa Bay

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Oct. 19, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- CITY HOME celebrated the Grand Opening of its new Wesley Chapel showroom, welcoming thousands of guests over four days of giveaways, entertainment and immersive in-store experiences. The opening marks a major milestone in the retailer's growth following its June transition from CITY Furniture to CITY HOME, bringing its Tampa/Sarasota footprint to four showrooms.

The 120,000+-square-foot Wesley Chapel location is the first showroom built from the ground up specifically as CITY HOME and the company's second fully converted CITY HOME showroom, offering customers the clearest expression yet of the brand's expanded "first stop for all things home" vision.

"Wesley Chapel really brings the CITY HOME vision to life," said Andrew Koenig, CEO of CITY HOME. "We're creating a destination where customers can solve more of their home needs in one place, with great value, great service and an experience that feels completely different from traditional furniture shopping. The response during Grand Opening weekend showed us customers are excited about where we're headed."

The Wesley Chapel showroom expands beyond furniture and mattresses into appliances, closets, home electronics, bath, fitness, kitchens and connected home solutions. The experience also includes a broader range of services, from interior design and custom cabinetry to connected home installation.

The four-day celebration featured more than $90,000 in giveaways, including a Tesla Model 3 giveaway, with the winner to be announced in the coming months. Thousands of guests visited throughout the weekend, with full parking lots and strong customer turnout as shoppers experienced the new CITY HOME concept firsthand.

Wesley Chapel builds on CITY HOME's continued investment in the Tampa market and follows the opening of its Sarasota showroom in 2025. After 55 years in business, the family-owned retailer continues to evolve its store network, services and customer experience while expanding across Florida.

The opening is part of CITY HOME's broader growth strategy, with additional showroom openings and CITY HOME conversions planned across Florida through 2028.

Pepco Approves ConnectDER's Meter Socket Adapters For D.C. Solar, Storage, & EV Charging Installations
Image File
Original HTML

WASHINGTON, Oct. 19, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- ConnectDER, the leading manufacturer of meter socket adapters (MSAs)—or meter collars—for solar, battery storage, and EV charging installations, today announced that its full line of products is formally approved for installation across Pepco's service territory in Washington, D.C.

The company's Solar MSA, EV MSA, and IslandDER™ MSA will help streamline the installation process of distributed energy resources (DERs) for millions of residents throughout the District, enabling installers to cut costs and timelines. D.C. joins ConnectDER's growing national footprint of 54 utilities reaching nearly 40 million households, with further utility expansion in progress.

ConnectDER's adapters plug directly into the existing meter socket on the outside of the home. By establishing a safe connection point at the meter, this innovation bypasses the need for complex main panel upgrades (MPUs), service upsizing, circuit relocations, or adding backup loads panels and system controllers—all of which drive up labor costs and delay project timelines. Eliminating these internal bottlenecks allows installers to complete jobs faster, clear project backlogs, and shield homeowners from unexpected electrical expenses.

"Demand for residential solar, battery backup, and electric vehicles across Washington, D.C. continues to surge, but the physical challenge of older electrical infrastructure slows down installations," said Ivo Steklac, ConnectDER President & CEO. "With Pepco approving our adapters for installation outside the home at the meter socket, installers don't need to re-engineer the entire panel and home wiring to get these systems up and running. They can deliver clean energy resilience to District residents more efficiently, saving them thousands of dollars off total costs and days of labor. That directly translates to increased installation capacity and fewer barriers—keys for achieving D.C.'s ambitious electrification goals."

"ConnectDER's meter socket adapters have helped us make solar and EV charging accessible to more DC residents without requiring expensive electrical upgrades," said Joseph Sigwarth, Executive Director of Operations for DC-based Solar Solution. "Our customers get a less disruptive, more cost-effective installation, and our team avoids a lot of the added time, labor, and complexity that comes with panel reconfigurations and service upgrades. ConnectDER's devices make projects simpler for everyone involved."

Washington, D.C. is one of the nation's most progressive clean energy markets, propelled by aggressive Clean Energy DC mandates—including an ambitious Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) featuring a dedicated 15% local solar carve-out—plus high-value Solar Renewable Energy Credit (SREC) yields and Pepco's favorable full-retail net energy metering (NEM) policy. As rising electricity costs and more frequent power outages drive demand for energy independence, District homeowners are increasingly pairing rooftop solar with battery storage to enable whole-home backup power and optimize their daily energy usage.

However, installers in D.C. routinely face structural and electrical hurdles. The District's unique urban building stock—dominated by historic row homes and aging electrical infrastructure—frequently features 100-amp electrical panels that require main service upgrades costing between $1,800 and $5,800 before solar, battery storage, or EV charging equipment can be interconnected. Tight interior footprints also make mounting extra subpanels or wiring Current Transformers (CTs) labor-intensive.

"ConnectDER's approval by Pepco DC is a big win for District residents and installation companies, following dedicated work from several CHESSA members to pass enabling regulations," said Robin Dutta, Executive Director of the Chesapeake Solar and Storage Association (CHESSA). "This makes solar and battery storage more accessible for everyday homeowners, which is exactly the type of change we want to see more of."

ConnectDER's IslandDER™ MSA—engineered specifically for whole-home backup and battery storage—solves this by integrating a Microgrid Interconnect Device (MID), CTs, voltage sensing, and real-time grid disconnect capability into a single compact device mounted outside at the meter. IslandDER™ installs in 15 to 30 minutes without reconfiguring panels or re-routing household circuits. It's compatible with leading residential battery systems from SolarEdge, FranklinWH, Lunar Energy, EcoFlow, and Fox ESS. Removing installation barriers is increasingly vital as D.C. evaluates proposals for Virtual Power Plant (VPP) pilot programs, which will allow battery-equipped homes to support grid stability and earn compensation for their stored power.

Additionally, ConnectDER's newest Solar MSA Data Out (D.O.) model features built-in CTs and native integration with SolarEdge inverters, giving D.C. installers a streamlined solution for solar-only roof mounts.

"With ConnectDER and its integrated CTs, we're able to complete installs faster and more cleanly," said Matt Macfadden, Owner & CEO of SunnyMac. "Eliminating panel work reduces install time and helps avoid additional truck rolls."

These operational time and cost savings extend directly to D.C.'s accelerating electric vehicle sector. District residents are rapidly adopting EVs, taking advantage of Pepco's $500 Level 2 EV charger rebate and D.C.'s 50% residential charger installation tax credit. However, adding a high-draw EV charger to an older home often overloads an existing 100-amp panel. ConnectDER's EV Meter Socket Adapter provides a direct, safe power take-off point at the meter socket, eliminating the need for a panel upgrade in most homes and making fast at-home charging far more accessible and affordable.

ConnectDER's MSAs are available for purchase through distribution nationwide.

About ConnectDER

ConnectDER has been a pioneer in designing and developing meter socket adapters (MSAs) since 2011, simplifying the connection of distributed energy resources (DERs) such as solar, battery storage, and electric vehicle charging equipment. ConnectDER's products help accelerate installations, avoid complex electrical work, and reduce costs for both installers and homeowners—making renewable energy solutions more accessible and affordable for all. The company's devices are UL-listed and NEC-compliant, approved by utilities across the U.S., and used by solar installers nationwide. Installers can purchase ConnectDER's meter socket adapters through their preferred distributor. Email [email protected] to talk to a ConnectDER sales representative. Scientific Games Receives WLA Level 2 Information and Security Management Certification for U.S. Instant Game Production Facility

Company Reinforces Commitment to Security and Integrity Across Global Lottery Operations

ATLANTA, Oct. 19, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Scientific Games announces that its U.S. instant scratch game production facility, which serves nearly every U.S. state lottery, has achieved Level 2 certification to the World Lottery Association Security Control Standard 2024. The world's largest lottery scratch game production facility, located at Scientific Games global headquarters in metro Atlanta, has maintained its WLA security certification and is now fully compliant with WLA-SCS:2024 Level 2, the highest certification level for lottery suppliers under the standard.

With major scratch game facilities in the U.S. and UK achieving WLA-SCS:2024 Level 2 certification, Scientific Games continues to strengthen security across its global instant game production operations.

The Level 2 standard specifies the practices required for an effective security management structure to maintain the integrity, availability and confidentiality of information vital to a lottery provider's secure operation.

"Holding our instant scratch game production technology and processes to these rigorous international security standards is important to Scientific Games. Our lottery customers and their players are assured that our products are made using the absolute highest worldwide industry standards," said Andrew Jackson, VP of Corporate Responsibility for Scientific Games.

The certification confirms that Scientific Games has implemented a comprehensive framework to manage risks related to information and operations security in accordance with internationally recognized best practices and principles.

The WLA-SCS:2024 Level 2 standard combines ISO/IEC 27001:2022 information security requirements developed by the International Organization for Standardization and the International Electrotechnical Commission, with lottery-specific security and integrity controls established by the WLA. Both are independent organizations that set consistent standards, benchmarks and testing that ensure security and reliability, build trust and keep people and products safe. ISO/IEC 27001:2022 is the world's best-known standard for information security management systems.

Scientific Games first earned the WLA Security Control Standard certification for its facilities in 2011. Certification requires an extensive independent audit, annual surveillance audits and full recertification every three years. Maintaining this certification demonstrates that the company's operations continue to meet independently assessed industry standards as requirements evolve.

The company's UK instant scratch game facility achieved WLA-SCS:2024 Level 2 certification in 2026. Other Scientific Games operations achieving the certification in 2026 include the Scientific Games National Logistics Centre in Warrington, UK serving The National Lottery, the SG Studios digital game development center in Jersey, Channel Islands and the company's lottery retailer technology facility in Ireland. Scientific Games has also achieved international certifications for operational best practices, including Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001), Environmental Management (ISO 14001), Occupational Health and Safety (ISO 45001), as well as Anti-Bribery (ISO 37001) and the WLA's Responsible Gaming certification.

With products representing 70% of instant scratch game retail sales globally, Scientific Games is the largest lottery games creator, producer and services provider in the world. The company provides games, technologies, analytics, and services to 150 lotteries in 50 countries worldwide.

AIC Hotel Group Names Alliance Connection to Lead the Future of Hospitality Influence
Image File
Original HTML

The appointment signals a bold next chapter in how hospitality brands are built, discovered, and experienced, expanding a relationship that began 16 years ago when AIC Hotel Group became Alliance Connection's first client. Building on its work in brand partnerships and experiential marketing, the agency will now lead public relations, influencer marketing, content collaborations, executive thought leadership, and resort launch campaigns for the North American trade and consumer markets.

As travelers increasingly discover brands through creators, social platforms, earned media, AI-powered search, and cultural influence, AIC Hotel Group is investing in a more connected approach to brand visibility, storytelling, and guest experiences. Deloitte's 2025 holiday travel research found that more than half of Gen Z travelers use short-form social video for travel research, while generative AI adoption for trip planning has accelerated, reinforcing the importance of visibility across emerging discovery channels.

"At AIC Hotel Group, we have never believed in standing still," said Oscar Serrano, VP Global Marketing. "The future of resort marketing belongs to brands that can create cultural relevance, emotional connection, and visibility across every touchpoint of the consumer journey. Alliance Connection understood that immediately. Their vision for modern PR strategy, integrated storytelling, and brand discovery aligned perfectly with where we see the industry going."

"Travel and tourism PR has fundamentally changed," said Melissa Mango, Founder and President of Alliance Connection. "Consumers no longer experience brands in channels; they experience them through moments, conversations, recommendations, and culture. The old model of separating PR, influencers, social media, partnerships, and guest engagement simply no longer reflects how modern visibility works."

She continued, "The brands that will lead the next decade are the ones that become emotionally resonant, culturally relevant, and impossible to ignore wherever consumers are paying attention. Hollywood Park Casino Enters Its Next Decade as Los Angeles Prepares for The Big Game LXI and LA28

The first new venue in the Hollywood Park redevelopment celebrates 10 years in its current home and its place in the region's evolving sports and entertainment corridor

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 19, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Hollywood Park Casino enters its next decade as a 24-hour gaming and hospitality destination in a Los Angeles sports and entertainment corridor preparing for The Big Game LXI in 2027 and the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Its location puts poker, dining and private gatherings within walking distance of SoFi Stadium and Intuit Dome, giving guests a place to extend their visit beyond the main event.

The casino's October 17–24 anniversary celebration comes as the surrounding destination prepares for its next wave of global attention. SoFi Stadium will host The Big Game LXI on February 14, 2027. LA28's Inglewood zone will host swimming, basketball, Olympic and Paralympic opening ceremonies, and the Main Press Center. The 300-room Kali Hotel, under development at Hollywood Park, will add overnight accommodation to the area's growing hospitality offering.

"A great entertainment district needs places people return to between its biggest events," said Christopher Meany, executive managing director of Hollywood Park Casino Company, LLC. "Hollywood Park Casino was an early investment in that idea. Its next decade is an opportunity to welcome a broader audience while continuing to serve the people who come here every week."

The casino opened its current building in September 2016, the first new venue to open as the Hollywood Park redevelopment took shape. Relocating the casino made room for the stadium development while maintaining a business established in 1994. Management estimates the investment in the 110,000-square-foot building at approximately $100 million, excluding real estate.

Today, 125 tables offer poker, including Texas Hold'em and Omaha, alongside California games such as baccarat and "No Bust" blackjack. Simulcast wagering continues the property's connection to horse racing. Century Bar & Grill, Raise Lounge and the Turf Club provide settings for dining, cocktails and private events; outdoor-deck gatherings bring fans together before and after Chargers home games. The property also houses work by artists including Mickalene Thomas and Matt Wedel, alongside Michele Asselin's photographs of the former racetrack.

"Our longtime employees know what keeps regulars coming back," said Deven Kumar, general manager of Hollywood Park Casino. "As more people discover this part of Los Angeles, we want that same sense of welcome to be part of their first visit."

Hollywood Park Casino employs approximately 650 people. A majority of its current employees were there when the building opened in 2016, and some have worked at the casino since its original opening in 1994. Players have also been returning for decades, connecting the casino's next chapter to a community that predates the surrounding development.

That year-round operation also contributes to city revenue and community fundraising. Inglewood's adopted budget reports $5.15 million in card-club monthly fees collected in fiscal year 2024–25. The casino hosts community fundraisers, including the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Los Angeles poker tournament, which raised more than $52,000 for youth programs in 2024.

"Hollywood Park Casino's future starts with the people who have sustained it: our employees, our guests and the organizations we work with. As Inglewood welcomes visitors from around the world, we want to build on those relationships, bringing people together in ways that benefit this community for years to come," said Maria Canchola, director of marketing and communications at Hollywood Park Casino.

Anniversary programming continues through October 24, with an October 22 celebration featuring mentalist Jon Stetson. Event details and promotion rules are available at playhpc.com/events/hpc-10-yr-anniversary/. Gaming and anniversary promotions are for guests 21 and older.

New Downhill Skateboard Speed Record - 94.34 mph / 151.83 km/h - Set by Diego Poncelet Using Wheels and Bearings from Seismic Skate Systems

QUEBEC, Oct. 19, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Diego Poncelet Sanchez-Cuenca, a 27-year-old skateboard racing icon from Spain and Switzerland, sped 94.34 mph (151.83 km/h) down a massively long, steep hill on Route du Port in Les Éboulements, Quebec, Canada – shattering the previous Guinness World Record set nine years ago on the same storied slope. Poncelet is now the fastest downhill skateboarder in history.

Poncelet's main corporate sponsors were Red Bull, Porsche, and Prada. For the all-important wheels and bearings, he turned to Seismic Skate Systems of Boulder, Colorado. On the afternoon of Sept. 22, with a Guinness judge as witness, the two-time World Champion eclipsed the prior record holder, his late friend Pete Connolly of England, who also used wheels from Seismic to achieve his 2017 mark of 91.17 mph (143.73 km/h).

Poncelet rolled on Seismic's Megawatt wheels and Fullspin Pro Spec bearings, mounted to trucks fitted with Seismic's Defcon bushings and a deck topped with Seismic's Lokton grip tape.

The astonishing high-speed run was captured on video by Red Bull and made public on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube on October 15, 2026.

"Next-level wheel and bearing tech was mission-critical," said Poncelet. "Seismic poured a custom run of Megawatt wheels specifically for this record attempt, using a prototype ultra-high-rebound urethane formula. Combining these wheels with Seismic's state-of-the-art ceramic bearings helped me squeeze every last bit of speed out of the hill. I broke my personal best on the very first test run, and I reached 151.83 only a few runs later!"

Poncelet added, "Seismic's grip tape kept me securely locked on the board when there was no room for error, and their truck bushings kept me stable and balanced at this unprecedented speed."

Most elite downhill skateboarders had thought 150 km/h to be unattainable. Guinness World Records official adjudicator Andrew Glass called it "one of the most impressive feats I have ever seen." The new mark is the latest of many world speed and distance records set on wheels and bearings from Seismic.

Poncelet's Megawatt wheels previewed Seismic's newest high-speed urethane compound, slated for market introduction early next year. The Seismic Fullspin Pro Spec bearings set inside his wheels were custom-developed with a team of engineers from one of the world's leading bearing factories. They feature extra-tough carbonitrided raceway surfaces and a patented spacing system that ensures highly precise alignment.

Said Seismic founder Daniel Gesmer, "We're beyond stoked that Diego chose Seismic for the mission-critical components of his record-smashing setup. It's far from trivial to push skateboard performance to these rarefied levels. As in any other modern sport, advanced materials science and mechanical engineering must be in long-term dialogue with rigorous field testing."

"It's extremely gratifying to see a generational talent use the hard-won results of our careful product development work to transcend athletic limits previously thought insurmountable," Gesmer added. "This breakthrough performance deserves to elevate the global profile of all skateboard racing disciplines."

The Seismic Lokton grip tape used by Poncelet is made with ceramic grains that are noticeably sharper, tougher, and grippier than those seen on traditional skateboard grip tape. The Seismic bushings in his trucks, poured with the company's Defcon race urethane compound, provide uniquely calm, predictable handling at high speeds, where skateboards are prone to wobble.

Other aspects of Poncelet's meticulous preparation included extensive wind tunnel testing to perfect his tuck; specialized strength and mobility training; and custom development of aerodynamic helmet, speed suit, and shoes.

About Seismic Skate Systems, the skateboard industry technology leader and maker of the world's fastest skateboard wheels and bearings

Based in Boulder, Colorado, Seismic Skate Systems is one of the oldest and most respected longboard skateboard brands in the world. Seismic has been pushing the envelope of progressive skate technology since 1993, when it introduced the first high-precision truck of the modern longboard era. Today Seismic designs and manufactures high-performance trucks, wheels, bearings, boards, and accessories for skateboard carving, cruising, freeride, racing, and beyond. The brand is the brainchild of Daniel Gesmer, a Yale graduate who innovated a unique artistic approach to flatland freestyle skateboarding in the 1980s.
