Ruth Moschner ist Botschafterin des neuen Musicals "KICK LIKE A WOMAN"

Envision's Tianji Weather Foundation Model Tops ECMWF's AI Weather Quest, Setting a New Global Benchmark for Physics-AI Forecasting

SHANGHAI, Oct. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Envision, a global leader in green technology, today announced that its independently developed weather foundation model, Envision Tianji, ranked first overall in the latest edition of the AI Weather Quest, an AI weather competition organized by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF). Tianji outperformed nearly 20 top teams worldwide, taking first place across all assessed metrics, including variable-averaged, near-surface temperature, mean sea level pressure, and precipitation for the 19â25 day forecast window.

The AI Weather Quest evaluates models through continuous, real-time forecasting and verification, assessing sustained performance under varying weather conditions. Beyond the 15-day medium-range forecast horizon, the competition focuses on probabilistic forecasts of weekly mean temperature and mean sea level pressure, and weekly accumulated precipitation, for days 19â25. Temperature and precipitation are evaluated over predominantly land-covered grid cells, while mean sea level pressure is assessed globally, emphasizing the ability to anticipate weekly conditions and their uncertainty several weeks in advance. Teams submit forecasts weekly, and organizers evaluate them against subsequent actual weather, publicly updating the leaderboard.

This win follows a series of top-tier results for Tianji, including a top-tier placement in the global WeatherBench 2 evaluation, on par with Google WeatherNext2 Model, and first place overall in the deterministic forecast track of the AI Weather Forecast Model Demonstration Program organized by China's National Meteorological Center. Tianji has also proven its value in energy applications, winning first place in State Grid's AI load forecasting competition and China Southern Power Grid's business competition. With this latest result, Envision has again demonstrated Tianji's full-chain capability, from short-term forecasting to subseasonal prediction.

"Subseasonal forecasting â two weeks to two months out â is one of the hardest challenges in meteorology," said Robert Zheng, head of Envision's Tianji Weather Foundation Model. "The longer the horizon, the greater the uncertainty in atmospheric changes, and the higher the demand on a model's ability to identify evolving weather trends. Building on Envision's years of practical experience in new energy, we have developed the world's first physics-AI weather model, leveraging petabyte-scale high spatiotemporal resolution data and a 'spaceâairâground' three-dimensional data network to deliver reliable forecasts across full time scales."

Powered by high-performance computing, Tianji delivers rapid short-term and global forecasts with significantly improved accuracy for wind speed and irradiance in key regions. Covering full time scales from minute-level nowcasting to subseasonal trend assessment, it provides end-to-end meteorological intelligence for real-time monitoring and long-term planning.

LEO satellite operators are creating sustained demand through frequent replenishment and replacement of spacecraft. Satellites in low Earth orbit usually have shorter operating lives than larger satellites in higher orbits. Constellations therefore require regular launches to replace aging satellites, to maintain coverage and introduce upgraded payloads. Operators can also refresh technology faster as communication, processing and sensing requirements change. Planned deorbiting and debris mitigation requirements further increase the need for replacement satellites over time. This creates recurring demand for satellite platforms, propulsion systems, power systems, antennas and payloads. Large constellations also support repeat production, which allows manufacturers to maintain continuous assembly lines and improve production efficiency globally.

By customer type, the commercial segment is estimated to hold the second-largest market share in 2026.

The segment is supported by the growing deployment of LEO constellations for broadband, Earth observation, direct-to-device connectivity and data services. Commercial operators are benefiting from the scalable networks that allow capacity to be added as demand grows. Moreover, they also use standardized satellite buses and high-rate production to reduce costs and shorten deployment timelines. Large programs such as SpaceX Starlink and Amazon Project Kuiper are increasing satellite volumes and replacement demand. Earth observation companies are also deploying smaller satellites with shorter refresh cycles. These factors are supporting steady commercial demand across LEO satellite platforms, payloads, and related subsystems.

By frequency band, laser/optical band is expected to be the fastest-growing segment between 2026 and 2031.

The segment is expected to grow rapidly as LEO operators increase the use of optical inter-satellite links for high-capacity data transfer. Laser links allow satellites to exchange data directly in space without routing every transmission through ground stations. This reduces latency and improves network resilience. Optical links also avoid congestion in traditional RF spectrum and support higher data rates. Large constellations are increasingly adopting this architecture to move traffic across the network more efficiently. For instance, SpaceX Starlink is launching newer satellites using laser crosslinks for satellite-to-satellite communication.

Launched in September at participating Rural King stores in Florida, Alabama and Georgia, the Hot Deals program offered members steep discounts on 10 everyday essentials, including pet food, livestock feed, household supplies and automotive products. The initiative focused on delivering meaningful savings on products customers regularly purchase, with prices at least 25% below normal market prices.

The positive response helped shape Rural King's broader vision for its loyalty program, extending the emphasis on everyday value beyond a select group of stores and products.

Under the refreshed Rural King Rewards program, members can look forward to several enhanced benefits, including:

- Members-only pricing and sales: Exclusive opportunities to save on products throughout the store.

- Birthday and membership anniversary rewards: Special perks to recognize and celebrate loyal customers.

- Early access to sales and events: Opportunities for members to access select promotions and events early.

- Easier purchase lookup and returns: A more convenient shopping experience with simplified access to purchase records.

"We want Rural King Rewards to be about more than earning points," Melvin said. "It's about giving our customers real value, whether that's a better price on something they need, early access to a great sale or a special reward just for being a member. We want every visit to Rural King to be worth more."

As part of the transition, members will no longer earn points on eligible purchases under the base Rural King Rewards loyalty program beginning Nov. 1. Any remaining points that have not been converted into rewards will expire. Previously issued rewards will remain valid for 60 days from their issuance dates and can be redeemed in stores or online, subject to program terms. Rural King Visa cardholders will continue to earn points through the Rural King Visa Rewards program.

Beginning Nov. 1, 10 Hot Deals will be available at Rural King stores nationwide, with additional benefits rolling out in phases.

Rural King Rewards is free to join. Customers can visit RuralKing.com for updates or help.RuralKing.com for assistance with their membership.

Millennium Dental Technologies Marks Major Milestone: 49% of Active American Academy of Periodontology Members Now Trained in the LANAP® Protocol

Growing Adoption Among Periodontists and General Dentists Expands Patient Access to Minimally Invasive Laser Procedure for Moderate to Severe Periodontitis

SEATTLE, Oct. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Millennium Dental Technologies, Inc., the developer of the LANAP protocol and manufacturer of the PerioLase® MVP-7⢠variable-pulsed Nd:YAG dental laser, announced at the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) Annual Meeting in Seattle today that 49% of the AAP's active membership in the United States are now LANAP-trained clinicians.

The milestone reflects the expanding adoption of the minimally invasive alternative to traditional osseous surgery for patients with moderate to severe periodontal disease. With approximately half of active AAP members now trained in the LANAP protocol, more patients have access to the procedure that helps save hopeless teeth while reducing the discomfort and recovery time associated with conventional periodontal surgery.

"Reaching 49% of active AAP members represents a major milestone, but its real significance is what it means for patients," said Robert H. Gregg II, DDS, Founder, President and Chairman of the Board of Millennium Dental Technologies. "Our mission has always been about the patientâhelping people save their natural teeth through a far less invasive treatment grounded in science. With more periodontists and general dentists trained in the LANAP protocol, patients have greater access to care they can feel comfortable accepting."

The announcement coincides with the 25-year anniversary of the PerioLase MVP-7⢠and the LANAP protocol's 10-year anniversary of FDA clearance for true periodontal regeneration. Supported by extensive scientific and human histological research, including 651 positive patient outcomes published since 1998, the LANAP protocol is clinically proven to regenerate the attachment apparatus lost to periodontal disease, including new cementum, periodontal ligament and alveolar bone on a previously diseased root surface.

Available only with the PerioLase MVP-7, the LANAP protocol uses laser energy to target harmful bacteria and diseased tissue while preserving healthy tissue. Treatment does not require scalpels or sutures and is a more comfortable experience for patients with less bleeding and faster recovery than traditional osseous surgery, helping patients return to their daily activities sooner.

Patient acceptance is another important part of the protocol's impact. In an independent survey of 512 LANAP-trained clinicians published in Decisions in Dentistry, 91.5% of respondents rated patient treatment acceptance more positively with the LANAP protocol than with traditional periodontal treatment modalities.

Each LANAP-trained clinician undergoes extensive training at the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry (IALD), which combines didactic instruction with supervised treatment of live patients.

"Every LANAP-trained clinician goes through the IALD curriculum, including hands-on treatment of live patients under the supervision of certified instructors," said Dawn M. Gregg, DDS, Training Director of the IALD and Vice President of Operations at Millennium Dental Technologies. "Our program helps ensure doctors develop the clinical judgment and skills needed to deliver patient-centered care using the LANAP protocol and other laser procedures. As adoption grows, that commitment to education remains fundamental. That's one of the reasons we have been so successful in driving adoption among AAP members."

IL-23 inhibitor approved exclusively for healthcare provider-administered treatment

Expands use of ILUMYA beyond moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis strengthening Sun Pharma's portfolio in psoriatic disease

MUMBAI, India and PRINCETON, N.J., Oct. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited (Reuters: SUN.BO, Bloomberg: SUNP IN, NSE: SUNPHARMA, BSE: 524715, "Sun Pharma" and includes its subsidiaries and/or associated companies) announced today that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved the supplemental Biologics License Application (sBLA) for ILUMYA® (tildrakizumab-asmn) for the treatment of adults with active psoriatic arthritis (PsA).

"FDA approval of ILUMYA for adults with active psoriatic arthritis represents another important innovative medicine milestone for Sun Pharma and builds on the established clinical experience of ILUMYA in plaque psoriasis," said Rick Ascroft, North America CEO, Sun Pharma. "As an IL-23 inhibitor administered exclusively by a healthcare provider, ILUMYA is now an option for adults with active psoriatic arthritis who are unable to self-administer treatment or who may benefit from regular in-office care."

Approximately 2.4 million Americans live with psoriatic arthritis, which can cause joint pain, swelling and stiffness that may lead to permanent joint damage. The approval expands the use of ILUMYA, an IL-23 inhibitor approved by the FDA in 2018 for the treatment of adults with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis (PsO) who are candidates for systemic therapy or phototherapy.

"Psoriatic arthritis is a complex and chronic disease. As clinicians, we need a range of therapeutic options that allow us to individualize care based on each patient's symptoms and treatment goals. Adding an IL-23 inhibitor option that is administered by a healthcare provider gives us a new way to offer appropriate patients additional support and engagement with their healthcare team," said Philip Mease, Director of Rheumatology Research at the Swedish Medical Center and Providence St Joseph Health and Clinical Professor at the University of Washington School of Medicine, Seattle, WA.

The approval is supported by Phase 3 INSPIRE-1 and INSPIRE-2 clinical studies, which evaluated the efficacy and safety of ILUMYA after only two doses at 24 weeks in adult patients with active psoriatic arthritis.

Safety data in the studies was consistent with the well-documented safety profile of ILUMYA. No new safety signals were identified in the INSPIRE-1 and INSPIRE-2 studies. ILUMYA may increase the risk of infection. Patients should be evaluated for tuberculosis (TB) infection prior to initiating treatment. Most common adverse reactions are: Plaque Psoriasis (â¥1%): upper respiratory infections, injection site reactions, and diarrhea. Psoriatic Arthritis (â¥3%): upper respiratory tract infections and COVID-19.

About the INSPIRE-1 and INSPIRE-2 Phase 3 Studies

INSPIRE-1 and INSPIRE-2 are 52-week, global, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase 3 studies evaluating the efficacy and safety of tildrakizumab 100 mg (ILUMYA) in adults with active psoriatic arthritis.

Learn more about the studies at clinicaltrials.gov (INSPIRE-1 NCT04314544 and INSPIRE-2 NCT04314531).

About Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA)

Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) is a chronic (long-lasting or recurring) disease related to the immune system. It causes swelling, pain, and stiffness in joints and entheses (places where tendons and ligaments connect to bones).1 Psoriatic arthritis can develop at any age.2 Psoriatic arthritis can occur regardless of the severity of psoriasis (mild, moderate, or severe). Roughly 1 in 3 people living with psoriasis also have psoriatic arthritis3; typically, with psoriasis developing before psoriatic arthritis.2 While as many as 2.4 million Americans live with psoriatic arthritis, more than 15% of people living with psoriasis may also have undiagnosed psoriatic arthritis.4

About ILUMYA® (tildrakizumab-asmn)

ILUMYA (tildrakizumab-asmn) is a humanized lgG1/k monoclonal antibody designed to selectively bind to the p19 subunit of interleukin-23 (IL-23) and inhibit its interaction with the IL-23 receptor, leading to inhibition of the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines. ILUMYA is indicated for the treatment of adults with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis who are candidates for systemic therapy or phototherapy and for the treatment of adults with active psoriatic arthritis, in the United States. ILUMYA has also been approved for moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis in India, Australia, Canada, China and Japan, and under the brand name ILUMETRI® in Europe, where it is marketed by Almirall.

ILUMYA is the 1st biologic to earn the National Psoriasis Foundation (NPF) Seal of Recognition. The NPF Seal recognizes products that meet the Foundation's established review criteria and reflects Sun's continued commitment to supporting people living with psoriatic disease.

INDICATION

ILUMYA® is indicated for the treatment of:

- moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis in adults who are candidates for systemic therapy or phototherapy.

- active psoriatic arthritis in adult patients.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

CONTRAINDICATIONS

ILUMYA is contraindicated in patients with a history of serious hypersensitivity reaction to tildrakizumab or to any of the excipients.

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS

Hypersensitivity: Cases of angioedema and urticaria occurred in ILUMYA treated subjects in clinical trials. If a serious allergic reaction occurs, discontinue ILUMYA immediately and initiate appropriate therapy.

Infections: ILUMYA may increase the risk of infection.
