BOSTON, Sept. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Wayfair Inc. (NYSE: W), the destination for all things home, today unveiled "Wayfair Delivers," a new brand platform centered on how Wayfair delivers the quality, value, trusted experience and emotional moments that give customers confidence to create homes they love. To bring this campaign to life, Wayfair is partnering with championship-winning MVP quarterback Matthew Stafford and his family.

"Wayfair Delivers captures everything customers know and love about Wayfair, and why we've become the trusted destination for home," said Paul Toms, CMO of Wayfair. "Customers turn to us for the products and expertise to make their homes their own, along with the confidence that comes from knowing we'll be there throughout the journey. The platform brings together the work we've been doing across the customer experience and gives us a clear way to show what Wayfair delivers every day."

The campaign's debut ad, which airs tonight during Monday Night Football on ESPN and ABC, features Stafford alongside his wife, Kelly, and their four young daughters. The ad spot captures the beautiful chaos of everyday family life, showing how Wayfair helps the Staffords create a home that works for the moments their family actually lives — from the everyday to the unforgettable.

The new campaign brings the promise of the "Wayfair Delivers" platform to life through the moments that matter at home. That promise is backed by tangible ways Wayfair earns customers' trust and delivers value, including Wayfair Verified, a curated selection of products hand-vetted for quality; Wayfair Rewards, which provides value with every purchase; and a proprietary logistics network designed to make delivery more seamless and dependable.

Wayfair's in-house creative team conceived and developed the creative with Paramount Media Labs, Paramount Advertising's full-service branded-content studio, serving as production partners to bring the work to life across broadcast, streaming and social.

A Deeper Investment in Football

The platform will extend beyond the campaign itself through culturally relevant moments, with an expanded presence in football throughout the season, bringing the brand closer to the family moments, traditions and everyday experiences that happen at home.

Wayfair is increasing its advertising investment across the networks airing football games to five times its previous spend. It is sponsoring and outfitting the set for CBS Sports' Sunday morning football pregame show, which streams on Paramount+, CBS Sports HQ and YouTube. Also, through its partnership with Bleacher Report, Wayfair is sponsoring B/R NFL Draft Live, which will air in April 2027.

Together, the campaign, customer experience and partnerships build a platform that is designed to evolve and grow with its customers as their families grow and change over time.

The Stafford ad will roll out across ABC, ESPN, CBS and NBC. You can view the ad here.

Phase 1 sites secured and under developer control in Winston-Salem, Mooresville, Gastonia, Hickory, South Asheville/Arden and Goldsboro; Winston-Salem–based Summit Healthcare Group named development partner

MESQUITE, Texas, Sept. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Ernest Health, a national owner and operator of freestanding inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, today announced Phase 1 of its North Carolina development program: six freestanding inpatient rehabilitation hospitals in Winston-Salem, Mooresville, Gastonia, Hickory, South Asheville/Arden and Goldsboro. Sites have been secured in all six markets and are under the control of the program's development partner.

The hospitals are being developed in partnership with Summit Healthcare Group, a Winston-Salem–based healthcare real estate development firm founded in 2008 that has delivered more than 750,000 square feet of ground-up healthcare projects.

Site control is in place across all six markets. Specific parcels have been identified, secured and placed under the control of Summit Healthcare Group, spanning the Piedmont Triad, the Lake Norman and Gaston County submarkets of the Charlotte region, the Catawba Valley, Western North Carolina and Eastern North Carolina. Each site was selected for its proximity to acute care referral sources, access to major transportation corridors and the size of its older adult population.

Each hospital will serve patients recovering from debilitating illnesses and injuries, including strokes and other neurological disorders, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations and complex orthopedic conditions. In addition to 24-hour nursing care, each hospital will offer physical, occupational and speech therapies designed to help patients restore function and improve their quality of life. Care will be provided by specialized nurses, therapists and physicians.

The hospitals are designed around a hospitality-first philosophy that pairs advanced clinical care with the comfort and refinement of a boutique hotel. Spacious, all-private patient suites feature residential-style finishes, generous natural light and room for family members to stay close, creating a calm, restorative environment where patients can rest, recover and heal with dignity. Beyond the patient suites, each hospital will offer a spacious therapy gym with advanced rehabilitation technologies, an activity of daily living suite, an in-house dialysis suite, a restaurant-style dining room, an on-site pharmacy and a landscaped therapy courtyard. Every space is intended to make the path to recovery feel less like a hospital stay and more like a return to home.

"North Carolina is a priority state for Ernest Health, and we are moving decisively," said Jake Socha, CEO of Ernest Health. "Sites are secured, our development partner is engaged and Phase 1 is underway. Our intention is to build the leading rehabilitation network in this state, and we have committed the capital, leadership and clinical expertise to do it. As we have for more than 20 years, our focus remains on bringing world-class care and outcomes to every North Carolina market we enter."

"Each of these six markets was selected through rigorous analysis of access gaps, referral patterns and population need," said Robin Saxon, Chief Strategy and Development Officer of Ernest Health. "We did not announce these markets until we controlled the ground. With every site secured and a proven North Carolina development partner in place, we move from announcement to construction without delay. Phase 1 establishes our footprint in this state. It does not define the limit of our commitment to it."

Additional markets are under evaluation for subsequent phases. Bed counts, opening timelines and local clinical partnerships for each Phase 1 hospital will be announced as projects advance through planning, permitting and regulatory review.

FDA Grants Priority Review to Insmed's sNDA for ARIKAYCE® (amikacin liposome inhalation suspension) for Treatment of MAC Lung Disease With PDUFA Target Action Date Set for January 28, 2027
Image File
Original HTML

—sNDA Under Review for Full Approval Is Based on Positive Results From Phase 3b ENCORE Study—

—Full Approval Could Bring ARIKAYCE to Patients Earlier in Their Disease Course and Would Fulfill Post-Marketing Requirement From FDA—

BRIDGEWATER, N.J., Sept. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Insmed Incorporated (Nasdaq: INSM), a people-first global biopharmaceutical company striving to deliver first- and best-in-class therapies to transform the lives of patients facing serious diseases, today announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has accepted the Company's Supplemental New Drug Application (sNDA) for review of ARIKAYCE® (amikacin liposome inhalation suspension) for the treatment of Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) lung disease as part of a combination antibacterial drug regimen. In its communication to Insmed, the FDA granted Priority Review to the sNDA and set a target action date of January 28, 2027, under the Prescription Drug User Fee Act (PDUFA).

"The FDA's acceptance of this application marks a pivotal moment in our ambition to change the treatment paradigm for MAC lung disease," said Martina Flammer, M.D., MBA, Chief Medical Officer of Insmed. "MAC lung disease is progressive — the longer the infection persists, the greater the damage to lung tissue and the harder it becomes to treat. If full approval is granted, ARIKAYCE could reach patients earlier in their disease course, including those newly diagnosed or facing recurrent infections. We look forward to engaging with the FDA throughout the review process."

The FDA grants Priority Review to applications for medicines that, if approved, would provide a significant improvement in safety or effectiveness in the treatment of a serious condition.

ARIKAYCE received FDA accelerated approval in 2018 for refractory MAC lung disease and was the first product approved under the Limited Population Pathway for Antibacterial and Antifungal Drugs (LPAD) — a pathway enacted under the 21st Century Cures Act to advance the development of antibacterial therapies for serious or life-threatening infections in patients with unmet needs.

The sNDA for full approval is supported by results from the Phase 3b ENCORE study, the pivotal study conducted to fulfill the post-marketing requirement associated with ARIKAYCE's accelerated approval. ENCORE met its primary endpoint and multiplicity-controlled secondary culture conversion endpoints, with ARIKAYCE plus multidrug therapy demonstrating statistically significant improvements in respiratory symptoms and culture conversion in adults with MAC lung disease compared to multidrug therapy alone.

Insmed also plans to review the ENCORE data with the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA) in the fourth quarter of 2026 to support potential label expansion in Japan.

About the Phase 3b ENCORE Study

ENCORE was a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, Phase 3b study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of ARIKAYCE plus multidrug therapy in patients with a new occurrence of MAC lung infection who had not received antibiotics. The study enrolled 425 patients across 177 sites globally, including patients experiencing their first MAC infection (82.4%) or their second or third infection (17.6%). Patients were randomized 1:1 to receive once-daily ARIKAYCE plus multidrug therapy (azithromycin 250 mg + ethambutol 15 mg/kg; n=213) or placebo plus multidrug therapy (azithromycin 250 mg + ethambutol 15 mg/kg; n=212) for 12 months, followed by three months off treatment to assess durability of culture conversion.

The primary endpoint was change from baseline in Respiratory Symptom Score (RSS) at Month 13. The study met its primary endpoint and its multiplicity-controlled secondary culture conversion endpoints, demonstrating statistically significant improvements in respiratory symptoms and culture conversion. Patients treated with ARIKAYCE achieved earlier, greater and more durable culture conversion than those receiving comparator therapy, and the safety profile was consistent with the known safety profile of ARIKAYCE, with no new safety signals observed.

About MAC Lung Disease

Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) lung disease is a rare and serious disease that can significantly increase morbidity and mortality. Patients with MAC lung disease can experience a range of symptoms that often worsen over time, including chronic cough, dyspnea, fatigue, fever, weight loss, and chest pain. In some cases, MAC lung disease can cause severe, even permanent damage to the lungs, and can be fatal. MAC lung disease is an emerging public health concern worldwide with significant unmet need.

About ARIKAYCE

ARIKAYCE® is approved in the United States as ARIKAYCE (amikacin liposome inhalation suspension), in Europe as ARIKAYCE Liposomal 590 mg Nebuliser Dispersion, and in Japan as ARIKAYCE inhalation 590 mg (amikacin sulfate inhalation drug product). Current international treatment guidelines recommend the use of ARIKAYCE for appropriate patients. ARIKAYCE is a novel, inhaled, once-daily formulation of amikacin, an established antibiotic that was historically administered intravenously and associated with severe toxicity to hearing, balance, and kidney function. Insmed's proprietary PULMOVANCE™ liposomal technology enables the delivery of amikacin directly to the lungs, where liposomal amikacin is taken up by lung macrophages where the infection resides, while limiting systemic exposure. ARIKAYCE is administered once daily using the Lamira® Nebulizer System manufactured by PARI Pharma GmbH (PARI).

About PARI Pharma and the Lamira® Nebulizer System

ARIKAYCE is delivered by a novel inhalation device, the Lamira® Nebulizer System, developed by PARI. Lamira® is a quiet, portable nebulizer that enables efficient aerosolization of ARIKAYCE via a vibrating, perforated membrane. Based on PARI's 100-year history working with aerosols, PARI is dedicated to advancing inhalation therapies by developing innovative delivery platforms to improve patient care.

BOXED WARNING AND IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION FOR ARIKAYCE IN THE U.S.

Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis has been reported with the use of ARIKAYCE in the clinical trials. Hypersensitivity pneumonitis (reported as allergic alveolitis, pneumonitis, interstitial lung disease, allergic reaction to ARIKAYCE) was reported at a higher frequency in patients treated with ARIKAYCE plus background regimen (3.1%) compared to patients treated with a background regimen alone (0%). Most patients with hypersensitivity pneumonitis discontinued treatment with ARIKAYCE and received treatment with corticosteroids. If hypersensitivity pneumonitis occurs, discontinue ARIKAYCE and manage patients as medically appropriate.

Hemoptysis has been reported with the use of ARIKAYCE in the clinical trials. Hemoptysis was reported at a higher frequency in patients treated with ARIKAYCE plus background regimen (17.9%) compared to patients treated with a background regimen alone (12.5%). If hemoptysis occurs, manage patients as medically appropriate.

Bronchospasm has been reported with the use of ARIKAYCE in the clinical trials. Bronchospasm (reported as asthma, bronchial hyperreactivity, bronchospasm, dyspnea, dyspnea exertional, prolonged expiration, throat tightness, wheezing) was reported at a higher frequency in patients treated with ARIKAYCE plus background regimen (28.7%) compared to patients treated with a background regimen alone (10.7%). If bronchospasm occurs during the use of ARIKAYCE, treat patients as medically appropriate.

Exacerbations of underlying pulmonary disease has been reported with the use of ARIKAYCE in the clinical trials. Exacerbations of underlying pulmonary disease (reported as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), infective exacerbation of COPD, infective exacerbation of bronchiectasis) have been reported at a higher frequency in patients treated with ARIKAYCE plus background regimen (14.8%) compared to patients treated with background regimen alone (9.8%). If exacerbations of underlying pulmonary disease occur during the use of ARIKAYCE, treat patients as medically appropriate.

Anaphylaxis and Hypersensitivity Reactions: Serious and potentially life-threatening hypersensitivity reactions, including anaphylaxis, have been reported in patients taking ARIKAYCE. Signs and symptoms include acute onset of skin and mucosal tissue hypersensitivity reactions (hives, itching, flushing, swollen lips/tongue/uvula), respiratory difficulty (shortness of breath, wheezing, stridor, cough), gastrointestinal symptoms (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, crampy abdominal pain), and cardiovascular signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis (tachycardia, low blood pressure, syncope, incontinence, dizziness). Before therapy with ARIKAYCE is instituted, evaluate for previous hypersensitivity reactions to aminoglycosides. If anaphylaxis or a hypersensitivity reaction occurs, discontinue ARIKAYCE and institute appropriate supportive measures.

Ototoxicity has been reported with the use of ARIKAYCE in the clinical trials. Ototoxicity (including deafness, dizziness, presyncope, tinnitus, and vertigo) were reported with a higher frequency in patients treated with ARIKAYCE plus background regimen (17%) compared to patients treated with background regimen alone (9.8%). This was primarily driven by tinnitus (7.6% in ARIKAYCE plus background regimen vs 0.9% in the background regimen alone arm) and dizziness (6.3% in ARIKAYCE plus background regimen vs 2.7% in the background regimen alone arm). Closely monitor patients with known or suspected auditory or vestibular dysfunction during treatment with ARIKAYCE. If ototoxicity occurs, manage patients as medically appropriate, including potentially discontinuing ARIKAYCE.

Nephrotoxicity was observed during the clinical trials of ARIKAYCE in patients with MAC lung disease but not at a higher frequency than background regimen alone. Nephrotoxicity has been associated with the aminoglycosides.

Precigen Receives FDA Platform Technology Designation for AdenoVerse Platform
Image File
Original HTML

- Designation has the potential to accelerate development of current and future therapies built on Precigen's AdenoVerse platform

GERMANTOWN, Md., Sept. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Precigen, Inc. (Nasdaq: PGEN), a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company specializing in the advancement of innovative precision medicines to improve the lives of patients, today announced that the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted platform technology designation to the AdenoVerse® immunotherapeutic platform, which is used in the company's first commercial product, PAPZIMEOS®. The designation reflects the adaptability and potential of the platform to address a broad range of indications, including HPV-positive malignancies such as head and neck, cervical, anal, vulvar and vaginal cancers, as well as other diseases that may be targeted by future AdenoVerse-based product candidates.

FDA platform technology designation creates a pathway to leverage data generated for the development of PAPZIMEOS to potentially accelerate development of future AdenoVerse programs by utilizing existing manufacturing and preclinical knowledge to support future marketing applications and reduce duplication of development work. Platform technology designation provides opportunities for early FDA engagement, the ability to receive timely advice by having additional engagement with the FDA during development, and consideration of prior FDA manufacturing inspections for future applications.

To qualify for the platform technology designation, a platform must already be used in an FDA-approved product and the available evidence must demonstrate that it is well characterized, reproducible and has the potential to be adaptable across multiple products without compromising quality, manufacturing or safety. In granting this designation, the FDA determined that the AdenoVerse platform can be applied consistently across multiple products and is reasonably likely to generate meaningful efficiencies to the development or manufacturing process, and to the regulatory review process.

"This designation has the potential to accelerate the development of Precigen's broader AdenoVerse portfolio by allowing us to build on the technology established through PAPZIMEOS, which was approved by the FDA in August 2025. We expect the near-term impact will be especially meaningful for PRGN-2009 across multiple HPV-associated cancers, including cervical cancer and oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma. Importantly, the potential extends beyond PRGN-2009 to future AdenoVerse candidates such as those targeting additional cancers and other diseases," said Helen Sabzevari, PhD, President and CEO of Precigen. "We thank the FDA for recognizing the potential of the AdenoVerse platform. This designation will enable us to leverage prior data and engage with the FDA earlier and more frequently, creating opportunities to reduce duplicative work and bring greater speed, efficiency and predictability to the development of future AdenoVerse therapies."

AdenoVerse® Clinical Portfolio

Precigen's AdenoVerse portfolio includes a Phase 2 study of PRGN-2009 in combination with pembrolizumab in newly diagnosed patients with HPV-associated oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (NCT05996523) and a Phase 2 study of PRGN-2009 in combination with pembrolizumab in patients with recurrent or metastatic cervical cancer (NCT06157151). The portfolio also includes PAPZIMEOS® (zopapogene imadenovec-drba; formerly PRGN-2012), which is the first FDA-approved therapy for the treatment of adults with recurrent respiratory papillomatosis (RRP). An open-label study evaluating the efficacy of redosing PAPZIMEOS in adults with RRP is currently enrolling (NCT06538480).

Fluxnium Secures $7 Million Seed Round to Build a New Domestic Supply of Uranium
Image File
Original HTML

Breakthrough High Efficiency Fiber Technology Enables Uranium Adsorption from Seawater Rather Than Mined from Rock

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Fluxnium, Inc. (Fluxnium), a pioneer of domestic uranium supply adsorbed from seawater, today announced a $7 million seed round led by Congruent Ventures, with participation from Constellation Technology Ventures, the venture investing organization within Constellation (NASDAQ: CEG), the nation's largest producer of reliable and clean energy, and Active Impact Investments, Canada's largest climate technology seed fund. The funding catalyzes the commercialization of a new secure source of uranium, the critical mineral that underpins both the civilian nuclear fuel cycle and the defense supply chain. Proceeds will go towards further development, pilot testing and scale-up of Fluxnium's technology platform.

The largest uranium supply on Earth is not underground; it is dissolved in the ocean. Seawater holds centuries' worth of supply for the global uranium market — roughly a thousand times more than all currently identified terrestrial deposits combined. The challenge is that dissolved uranium exists at very low concentrations. Fluxnium addresses this challenge through its proprietary high-surface-area fiber, recently developed with a leading U.S. national laboratory, that passively adsorbs uranium as seawater moves past it.

"The United States imports more than 90% of its uranium supply at a time when nuclear power is increasingly seen as a solution to growing demand for electricity driven by economic growth," said Jeff Green, CEO and Founder of Fluxnium. "Fluxnium is developing a new domestic and sustainable supply of uranium, passively adsorbed from seawater on proven offshore infrastructure — at a cost projected to compete with conventional mining, with no tailings or ground water concerns."

Fluxnium's fiber deploys on longline systems in open water — the same passive marine infrastructure proven by seaweed and mussel farms — then is retrieved, processed, and redeployed. With accelerating demand for nuclear power, plant operators are very interested in cost-competitive and sustainable fuel supply beyond uranium mining. Traditional uranium production projects can require significant time, capital investment and regulatory review before reaching commercial operation. Adsorption from seawater addresses those concerns, and the approach expands production by deploying additional fiber rather than developing a new mine.

"With the current uranium market dynamics, there is a new path to making the ocean one of the lowest-cost sources in the world," said Kevin Kopczynski, Partner at Congruent Ventures. "Congruent is excited to support Fluxnium as it unlocks the ocean's potential as a major contributor to a diverse and robust domestic nuclear fuel supply chain."

"Innovations that could expand domestic sources of uranium are important areas of research for the nuclear energy industry," said Jason Murphy, Vice President of Nuclear Fuels, Constellation. "Fluxnium's technology has the potential to broaden future fuel supply options and support growing demand for clean, reliable nuclear energy."

"With global nuclear power generation projected to increase 2.5X in the next 15 years, Fluxnium is the future of uranium supply with clean, lower cost ocean adsorption displacing the environmental damage from mining and tailings," said Tom Boddez, General Partner at Active Impact Investment. "We have strong conviction that Jeff and co-founder Jim McDermott, with their prior successes taking hardtech ideas to commercial reality, are the ideal team to seize this opportunity."

About Fluxnium

Fluxnium is building a new domestic supply of uranium — adsorbed from seawater rather than mined from rock. Using high-efficiency adsorbent fiber developed with a leading U.S. national laboratory, Fluxnium passively adsorbs uranium already dissolved in seawater at a cost projected to match conventional mining. With the ocean containing centuries of uranium supply, capacity grows by deploying more fiber — becoming a production decision rather than a long-term capital investment for mine construction. And because there is no mine, there are no tailings or ground water concerns, which eliminates the slowest and most contested steps of conventional permitting. Deployed on the same infrastructure proven in offshore aquaculture, Fluxnium's mission is to make the ocean the lowest-cost source of uranium in the world. Vylor and Rainbow Crops Partner to Accelerate Development of Novel Gene-Edited Corn Traits
Image File
Original HTML

JOHNSTON, Iowa and GHENT, Belgium, Sept. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Vylor, the advanced seed and genetics company that will spin off from Corteva on October 1, 2026, and Rainbow Crops, a Belgium-based spin off from VIB, have announced a collaboration to advance new corn traits using artificial intelligence (AI) and multiplex gene editing, which enables scientists to edit multiple genes in a cell simultaneously.

Through the collaboration, both companies will use Rainbow Crops' AI-supported Trait Foundry™ technology to accelerate the development of corn hybrids that are more resilient to extreme weather, such as heat, drought, and floods. Rainbow Crops' platform will support Vylor's industry-leading expertise in gene editing. The companies expect the collaboration to deliver complex agronomic traits that use inputs more efficiently and, ultimately, increase yield to support farmer profitability.

"Rainbow Crops' AI-enabled multiplex gene editing capabilities will allow us to make hundreds of gene edits simultaneously, while validating performance in state-of-the-art phenotyping facilities as well as through field trials," said Mat Muller, who will lead Vylor Edge, Vylor's investment platform. "Genome editing is set to reimagine agriculture by creating plants that can withstand critical challenges, including disease and extreme weather. This partnership further cements Vylor's leadership in this emerging science by leveraging Rainbow Crops' proprietary, cutting-edge technology."

Rainbow Crops' Trait Foundry™ combines AI, multiplex genome editing, precision breeding, and automated phenotyping (high-throughput measurement of plant characteristics) to design, generate, and validate improved crop genetics faster and more precisely than traditional breeding approaches allow. The platform is designed to address traits controlled by multiple interacting genes, such as drought tolerance and plant vigor.

"Our early work in corn has been an important proof point for Rainbow Crops and has shown the potential of our Trait Foundry platform to accelerate the development of complex traits," said Giacomo Bastianelli, CEO and co-founder of Rainbow Crops. "We are thrilled to collaborate with Vylor, a global leader in advanced seed and genetics, to explore new opportunities for innovation in corn."

The collaboration comes at a pivotal moment for plant innovation in Europe, following the European Parliament's passage, on 17 June 2026, of legislation that allows plants developed through gene editing to be imported and cultivated across the European Union.

Corteva, through its Corteva Catalyst investment platform, participated in Rainbow Crops recently closed €9.7 million seed financing round. Upon the company's separation, this investment will become a part of the Vylor Edge portfolio.

Exclusive agreement paves the way for CME FSPI baseball futures

CHICAGO, Sept. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- FutureSports, the independent index administrator transforming professional and college sports statistics into rules-based, benchmark financial indexes, today announced an agreement with Major League Baseball (MLB) to create first-of-their-kind indexes on baseball team performance. Under the agreement, MLB will provide FutureSports with Official League Data that the company will use to create new broad-based CME FutureSports Performance Indexes (FSPI) on each of the 30 MLB clubs.

The agreement paves the way for CME Group to list weekly, monthly and quarterly cash-settled futures contracts, pending regulatory review, based on the CME FSPI MLB benchmarks.

CME FSPI are designed to systematically measure the cumulative performance of teams in prominent sports leagues. The play-by-play benchmark indexes will provide hedging vehicles and investment opportunities.

Rhett Dinsdale, Co-Founder of FutureSports, said: "We're thrilled to collaborate with MLB to create indexes on America's beloved sport. The business of baseball has grown significantly over the years, and we aim to provide a new way for the industry participants to hedge their capital exposures."

FutureSports and CME Group are committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and transparency. CME FSPI are administered using transparent, rules-based methodologies derived from Official League Data, helping ensure that index values are determined objectively and independently. FutureSports and CME Group will work with MLB on integrity matters related to CME FSPI baseball futures contracts, establishing a framework to share information in a manner consistent with applicable law. MLB will have no involvement in the determination, calculation or governance of the indexes, which are the purview of FutureSports.

FutureSports and the National Hockey League (NHL) previously announced the creation of CME FSPI based on hockey team performance, and CME Group intends to launch futures contracts on the indexes on Sept. 28, pending regulatory review.

About FutureSports

Under development since 2022 and launched in 2026, Chicago-based FutureSports has created a proprietary index methodology for measuring on-field, on-ice and on-court performance for a range of professional sporting teams and athletes. Partnering with many of the most recognizable sports leagues and financial market participants, FutureSports transforms live, play-by-play statistical data into rules-based, benchmark indexes that may be referenced by exchange-listed financial products. The indexes are designed to serve the same benchmarking function as the leading equity, commodity and fixed income indexes utilized every day across major global exchanges to track performance and hedge risk in the financial markets. FutureSports administers the indexes independently, with formal governance, oversight and methodology change procedures designed to align with the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) Principles for Financial Benchmarks.
