MagLev Aero Secures Dual DARPA Contracts to Advance Next-Generation U.S. Drone Propulsion
Image File
Original HTML

Concurrent DARPA awards provide non-dilutive funding to accelerate MagLev Aero's path to TRL-6 flight readiness, de-risking dual-use commercialization and advancing U.S.-manufactured propulsion for American "Drone Dominance" initiatives.

BOSTON, Sept. 25, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Propulsion has always been at the core of aircraft performance. As defense drones undergo a rapid performance escalation on the modern battlefield, there remains a critical, unmet need for advanced propulsion systems capable of establishing true drone air dominance. Addressing this challenge, MagLev Aero, a pioneer in advanced aerospace propulsion technology, today announced it has been selected by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) for concurrent awards under the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and Embedded Entrepreneur Initiative (EEI) programs.

MagLev Aero has created a breakthrough in propulsion technology that provides more thrust for less power, fundamentally changing the physics of flight. This highly efficient architecture directly enables higher speeds, longer operational ranges, increased payload capacities, and a dramatically reduced noise signature—all the key domains required for drones that must evade detection and capture, counter-drones designed to catch and kill hostile threats, and cargo drones for contested logistics.

Supported by this non-dilutive government funding and an accelerating defense-market demand signal, MagLev Aero is advancing the industrialization of its next-generation propulsion platform. The platform is purpose-built to meet the surging demand for high-performance, U.S.-manufactured drone propulsion, aligning directly with White House "Drone Dominance" priorities, and the rapidly expanding commercial advanced air mobility (AAM) market. DARPA funding will support rapid advancement from prototype to flight-tested production, significantly reducing technical and integration risks for dual-use commercialization.

DARPA MVP - Accelerating Flight Readiness for Airframers

DARPA's MVP support helps technology developers quickly prototype, test, and adapt breakthroughs. MagLev Aero is funded to build and test a full-scale, flight-relevant propulsion demonstration platform, culminating in a Technology Readiness Level 6 (TRL-6) demonstration in a relevant operational environment. This effort significantly de-risks adoption for airframers and OEMs developing the next generation of autonomous drones and crewed aircraft by demonstrating:

DARPA EEI - Scaling U.S. Industrialization & Commercialization

Simultaneously, the DARPA EEI Program accelerates MagLev Aero's defense commercialization, go-to-market execution, and U.S. industrialization strategy. The award funds the embedding of an experienced business leader to help navigate federal acquisition frameworks and capture strategic transition opportunities.

"These dual DARPA contracts represent a major inflection point for MagLev Aero," said Ian Randall, Co-Founder and CEO of MagLev Aero. "We are not just proving out physics in a lab; we are helping build the propulsion industrial base for the next generation of American air power. By rapidly advancing our scalable, domestically manufactured propulsion platform to TRL-6, we are delivering a proven solution that meets the urgent national need for trusted, high-performance U.S. drone technologies."

SOUTHLAKE, Texas, Sept. 25, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Sabre Corporation ("Sabre") (Nasdaq: SABR) today announced the early tender results of the previously announced cash tender offer (the "Tender Offer") by Sabre Financial Borrower, LLC ("Sabre Financial"), its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, for any and all of Sabre Financial's securities set forth in the table below (the "Securities") and concurrent solicitation of consents (the "Consent Solicitation") to certain proposed amendments to the Securities and the Indenture (as defined below). The Tender Offer and Consent Solicitation will expire at 5:00 p.m., New York City time, on October 12, 2026 (unless extended or earlier terminated, the "Expiration Date").

The Tender Offer and Consent Solicitation are being made pursuant to the terms and conditions set forth in the offer to purchase and consent solicitation statement, dated September 14, 2026 (the "Offer to Purchase").

As of 5:00 p.m., New York City time, on September 25, 2026 (such date and time, the "Early Tender Deadline" and "Withdrawal Deadline," as applicable), according to information provided to D.F. King & Co., Inc., the tender and information agent for the Tender Offer and Consent Solicitation, the aggregate principal amount of Securities listed in the table below has been validly tendered and not validly withdrawn in the Tender Offer and Consent Solicitation. Withdrawal rights for the Securities expired at the Early Tender Deadline and, accordingly, any Securities that were validly tendered may no longer be withdrawn except where additional withdrawal rights are required by law.

The Tender Offer and Consent Solicitation remain subject to the satisfaction or waiver of the conditions described in the Offer to Purchase, including the financing for the Tender Offer and Consent Solicitation. Such conditions may be waived by Sabre Financial in its sole discretion, subject to applicable law. Any waiver of a condition by Sabre Financial will not constitute a waiver of any other condition. Subject to the satisfaction or waiver of such conditions and as described in the Offer to Purchase, Sabre Financial is expected to make payment on September 28, 2026 (such date and time, as it may be extended, the "Early Settlement Date") for the Securities and related consents that (i) were validly tendered and delivered, as applicable, and not validly withdrawn or revoked, as applicable, at or prior to the Early Tender Deadline and (ii) are accepted for purchase on the Early Settlement Date.

The consideration to be paid for the Securities accepted for purchase on the Early Settlement Date per $1,000 principal amount of Securities is the amount set forth in the table above under the heading "Total Consideration." The amounts set forth in the table above under "Total Consideration" include an early tender premium of $50 per $1,000 principal amount of Securities accepted for purchase (the "Early Tender Premium"). All Holders of Securities accepted for purchase will also receive accrued and unpaid interest from the most recent interest payment date preceding the Early Settlement Date to, but not including, the Early Settlement Date.

Any Holder who tenders Securities in the Tender Offer and Consent Solicitation will be deemed to automatically have provided consents, and Securities may not be tendered without delivering consents. Based on the consents received as of the Early Tender Deadline, Sabre Financial has obtained the required consents to effect all of the proposed amendments (the "Proposed Amendments") as described in the Offer to Purchase. Consequently, as previously announced, Sabre Financial expects to execute a supplemental indenture (the "Supplemental Indenture") effecting the Proposed Amendments with respect to the indenture dated December 5, 2025 (the "Indenture"), entered into by and among Sabre Financial, the guarantors party thereto, and Wilmington Trust, National Association, as trustee and collateral agent, under which the Securities were issued, and the Securities on or about the Early Settlement Date. The Supplemental Indenture will become effective upon (a) its execution and delivery by each of the parties thereto, and (b) the settlement of the Tender Offer with respect to accepted Securities tendered prior to the Early Tender Deadline on the Early Settlement Date.

In addition, pursuant to the terms of the Indenture, because more than 90% of the aggregate principal amount of the Securities outstanding has been validly tendered in the Tender Offer, Sabre Financial intends, following its purchase of the tendered Securities, to deliver a notice of redemption to redeem all Securities that remain outstanding after giving effect to the purchase of the Securities on the Early Settlement Date. The redemption price for such Securities will be equal to the Total Consideration set forth in the table above, plus accrued and unpaid interest thereon to, but excluding, the redemption date. The redemption date is expected to be October 13, 2026. Notwithstanding the foregoing, there can be no assurance that any Securities will be redeemed. Nothing herein shall constitute a notice of redemption with respect to the Securities.

Sabre Financial reserves the right, subject to applicable law, in its sole discretion, to waive any of the conditions of the Tender Offer or the Consent Solicitation, in whole or in part, at any time and from time to time. It also reserves the right, subject to applicable law, in its sole discretion, (1) to terminate or withdraw the Tender Offer or the Consent Solicitation at any time; (2) to extend the Early Tender Deadline, the Withdrawal Deadline or the Expiration Date; or (3) otherwise to amend the Tender Offer or Consent Solicitation in any respect. It may extend the Early Tender Deadline without extending the Withdrawal Deadline.

KERN, Calif., Sept. 25, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Los Angeles employment law attorneys, at Blumenthal Nordrehaug Bhowmik De Blouw LLP, filed a class action complaint alleging that Goforth & Marti violated the California Labor Code. The Goforth & Marti class action lawsuit, Case No. 26CUB03152, is currently pending in the Kern County Superior Court of the State of California. A copy of the Complaint can be read here.

According to the lawsuit filed, Goforth & Marti, allegedly (a) failed to pay minimum wages, (b) failed to pay overtime wages, (c) failed to provide legally required meal and rest periods, (d) failed to provide accurate itemized wage statements, (e) failed to reimburse for required expenses, (f) failed to pay sick wages, and (g) failed to provide wages when due, all in violation of the applicable Labor Code sections listed in California Labor Code Sections 201-203, 226, 226.7, 233, 246, 510, 512, 1194, 1197, 1197.1, 2802, and the applicable Wage Order(s), and thereby gives rise to civil penalties as a result of such alleged conduct.

The lawsuit further alleges that Defendant failed to provide all the legally required off-duty meal and rest breaks and failed to compensate Plaintiffs for missed meal and rest breaks. These employees, from time to time, were denied their first rest periods of at least ten (10) minutes for some shifts worked of at least two (2) to four (4) hours, a first and second rest period of at least ten (10) minutes for some shifts worked of between six (6) and eight (8) hours, and a first, second and third rest period of at least ten (10) minutes for some shifts worked of ten (10) hours or more, from time to time. Defendant allegedly paid Plaintiffs less than they would have been paid had they been paid for their actual recorded time rather than "rounded" time. Allegedly, Defendant violated Cal. Lab. Code §§ 1194, 1197, and 1197.1 .

Global Knee Replacement Market Size & Forecast

Global Knee Replacement Market Trends & Insights

- North America leads the Global Knee Replacement Market, supported by advanced healthcare infrastructure, high knee replacement procedure volumes, favorable reimbursement policies, strong presence of orthopedic device manufacturers, and widespread adoption of robotic-assisted knee replacement, AI-enabled surgical planning, computer-assisted navigation, advanced orthopedic implants, and outpatient arthroplasty.

These technologies are supporting continuous recovery monitoring, early identification of postoperative complications, and more personalized patient care.

Rising Incidence of Knee Osteoarthritis and Growing Surgical Demand Drive Market Growth

The increasing prevalence of knee osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, obesity, age-related joint degeneration, chronic knee pain, and mobility impairment is driving demand for knee replacement procedures worldwide. The growing aging population and rising number of patients seeking long-term pain relief and improved mobility are increasing the volume of total knee arthroplasty, partial knee replacement, and revision knee replacement procedures. Growing awareness of advanced orthopedic treatments and improved access to specialized healthcare are further supporting market expansion.

High Procedure Costs and Limited Access to Specialized Orthopedic Care Restrain Market Growth

The high cost of knee replacement surgery, advanced orthopedic implants, robotic-assisted surgical systems, AI-enabled surgical technologies, and postoperative rehabilitation can restrict market penetration, particularly in cost-sensitive and developing healthcare markets. Limited reimbursement coverage, shortages of specialized orthopedic surgeons, unequal access to advanced hospitals, and the high investment required for robotic surgery infrastructure can also create challenges for the adoption of premium knee replacement technologies.

Diamond Certified Resource Publishes New Article About Paid Advertising Versus Earned Certifications
Image File
Original HTML

Diamond Certified utilizes research-grade methodology to stand apart from paid advertising and crowdsourced reviews.

PETALUMA, Calif., Sept. 25, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- American Ratings Corporation, the creator of Diamond Certified Resource, the source for consumers who love quality local companies, has published a new article on diamondcertified.org titled, "Paid Advertising vs. Earned Certifications: The Diamond Certified Difference." The piece explains how Diamond Certified differs from advertising-funded review platforms by using verified customer surveys, rigorous qualification standards, credentials checks and ongoing performance monitoring.

All organizations that certify local companies rely on one or more funding sources: advertising, donations, company-paid subscriptions or consumer-paid subscriptions. They use these funds to create methodology, conduct operations, verify information, analyze results, deny or award certifications and monitor the performance of each certified company. Some spend even more on customer satisfaction surveys and collection of original research data.

Professional ethics matter most, starting with ratings methodology.

While all certifying organizations require funding, the highly ethical ones don't allow their funding sources to bias the results. In the case of 25-year-old American Ratings Corporation, creator of Diamond Certified Resource, high ethics and accuracy start with its methodology creation, which includes funding customer satisfaction surveys and collection of original research data. Any local company can apply for the certification and pay a small rating fee, whether they pass or fail. The Diamond Certified bar is set high, though. Only companies that achieve a customer satisfaction rating of 90 or higher on a 100-point scale for Highest in Quality and Helpful Expertise and pass all required credentials checks earn Diamond Certified. Companies that fall short of these high standards don't earn Diamond Certified, regardless of how much they'd be willing to pay.

Advertising funds crowdsourced review sites.

This isn't inherently a bad thing, but it does mean these sites must generate mass traffic and monetize company owners' interest to fund their business. To gain a high volume of reviews and a large number of companies, they use review intake methods that allow non-customers to post reviews and company owners to seed and cherry-pick only satisfied customers for review solicitations. Unfortunately, they're plagued by fake and cherry-picked reviews, which has resulted in massive star score inflation. A recent study by SEO Bandwagon concludes that two-thirds of rated Google business profiles hold at least a 4.5 star rating, with plumbers and roofers scoring an average 4.9 stars. Since most local companies have a star rating score that used to be held only by the top rated, consumers are forced to wade through reviews and see if they can purge fake and misleading ones in their minds.

Diamond Certified Resource's professional ethics, ratings methodology and experienced team

Having started their customer satisfaction research in the early 1990s, the founders of Diamond Certified are pioneers in creating certifications for local companies based on customer satisfaction surveys. The Diamond Certified Research Team is also deeply experienced in ratings and research, with most managers having served on the team for more than two decades. Team members are committed to maintaining high ethical standards and producing highly accurate company ratings and research. Founder/CEO Greg Louie describes their core principle as simple but powerful. "No company is awarded Diamond Certified unless it truly earns it," he says. "Also, companies must maintain their Highest in Quality and Helpful Expertise status or we take it from them."

What is Diamond Certified?

Created by American Ratings Corporation in 2001, the Diamond Certified Research Team rates local companies (mostly contractors and service companies) on customer satisfaction, quality and Helpful Expertise®. To earn Diamond Certified, companies must apply and pay a small rating fee, pass or fail. Then the Diamond Certified Research Team puts the company through a rigorous 12-step rating process, which includes in-depth customer satisfaction surveys and credentials verification.

The rating fee does not influence the results. In fact, most companies can't qualify.

The Diamond Certified Research Team does not use any unverified online reviews. It conducts independent, research-grade ratings and research of only verified customers. Here's a simple summary of its rating process:

- A local company applies for Diamond Certified. The Diamond Certified Research Team gathers a customer list of all past customers during the previous year or a random sample of 400 customers for larger companies. Researchers conduct telephone and email surveys of these customers at random and verify that each respondent is an actual customer before proceeding. This process prevents surveying fake or cherry-picked customers.

- During these live telephone interviews, surveyed customers evaluate the company's work quality, whether the company provided Helpful Expertise and whether the client would use the company again. In addition to collecting customers' scores for the company, researchers record verbatim responses to open-ended questions.

- The Diamond Certified Research Team calculates an overall customer satisfaction rating on a 100-point scale for Highest in Quality and Helpful Expertise and verifies the company's credentials. Only companies that achieve a customer satisfaction rating of 90 or higher on a 100-point scale for Highest in Quality and Helpful Expertise and pass all required credentials checks earn Diamond Certified. The team then calculates a Star Equivalent Score for each verified customer rating by weighting a Quality score on a scale of 1 to 10, a YES/NO Loyalty (intent to return) score and a YES/NO Helpful Expertise score.

- The team produces a bound, printed report (25-30 pages) that includes verification of applicable state licenses and confirmation of required general liability and workers' compensation insurance coverage.

- Companies that meet all of Diamond Certified's high standards are awarded the prestigious Diamond Certified, and their complete ratings and research report is posted to their Diamond Certified Company Report at www.diamondcertified.org.

- The Diamond Certified Research Team then monitors each Diamond Certified company's performance and produces ongoing ratings and research. Each Diamond Certified Company Report is the most accurate and deeply researched report available anywhere on that company. It includes ratings, verbatim survey responses, researched articles, a capabilities table, charts, videos, photos, and expert profiles and advice.

"Companies that maintain their Diamond Certified status also agree to additional levels of oversight," says Director of Ratings David Pak. "For example, they must participate in ongoing verified customer surveys and research interviews, which are published on their Diamond Certified Company Report at diamondcertified.org."

"We also track voluntary customer feedback between survey periods," adds Greg Louie. "A company may face suspension or termination if that feedback reveals a concerning pattern of business practices, even if its overall survey score remains high."

Consumers who work with a Diamond Certified company also receive mediation support and are backed by the Diamond Certified Performance Guarantee for up to $1,000.

The Diamond Certified Difference

Diamond Certified gives consumers a researched basis for choosing a quality local company: verified customer surveys, rigorous qualification standards, credentials verification, in-depth company-specific research, and ongoing performance ratings and monitoring. Companies can't buy their way into Diamond Certified. They must earn it and keep earning it to retain it.

For consumers, that means greater confidence when choosing a high-quality local company. The ratings and research behind each Diamond Certified company are available for free at www.diamondcertified.org, so consumers can examine the ratings, read customers' verbatim responses, explore the in-depth research and make an informed choice.
