GENEVA, Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Verisure, the world's leading provider of professionally monitored security services by customers served, has announced a strategic partnership with US company Ting Labs to exclusively commercialise its pioneering electrical fire prevention solution to its customers in Europe.

The partnership marks Ting Labs' first expansion into Europe, building on its experience helping protect more than 1.4 million U.S. homes. From a single outlet, Ting analyses 30 million electrical signals every second to detect dangerous arcing, the early warning signs of electrical faults that could lead to a fire, backed by expert support to help resolve them.

This life-saving technology will now be available to more families, with Ting technology seamlessly integrating into Verisure's current home alarm ecosystem. The sensor will operate alongside Verisure's professional monitoring services to provide a new layer of protection against one of the leading causes of domestic fires.

The partnership also expands Verisure's fire protection offering, complementing Connected Smoke Alarms and AI-powered WiFi Vision that help detect threats earlier and support emergency response when every second counts, with Ting's ability to help identify electrical fire hazards before a fire ever starts.

There are 273,000 fires with an electrical origin and €6.25bn of property damage caused by domestic fires in the EU each year. Electrical faults are also estimated to account for between 25% and 30% of domestic fires in Europe1. Verisure data and insights also reveal that fires are continually ranked as one of the greatest concerns and drivers of customers seeking monitored home alarm protection.

Austin Lally, Verisure CEO, said: "This exclusive partnership represents another step forward in our ambition to expand Verisure's protection beyond traditional security and safety solutions. By combining Ting Labs' proven electrical fire prevention technology with Verisure's monitoring expertise, operational scale and customer relationships, we are creating a differentiated, subscription-based proposition that addresses an important and growing consumer need against the rising threat of domestic fires. We believe that this service will slot seamlessly into our existing home alarm ecosystem and will strengthen our competitive position, open new growth opportunities across direct and partner channels, and further reinforce Verisure's leadership in innovative home protection."

Bob Marshall, Cofounder and CEO of Ting Labs, added: "Verisure's scale, expertise, and customer relationships make them the ideal partner to help us extend the protection that more than 1.4 million homes in the US already rely on to a new market. We are proud to bring Ting electrical fire prevention technology to European homes and small businesses. At Ting Labs, protection is our purpose, and in Verisure we've found a partner who shares it, so together we're advancing one mission: more proactive home protection and greater peace of mind for families."

The partnership combines Ting Labs' electrical fire prevention technology with Verisure's home protection expertise through a co-development and licensing model. Ting Labs' technology, firmware, cloud platform and fire safety tools will be adapted for European homes, with Verisure manufacturing the sensor and managing sales, installation, service and support experience. The newly designed sensor will carry both Verisure and "Powered by Ting" branding, reflecting the technology at its core. Commercial launch in Europe is expected in early 2027.

This new partnership is part of Verisure's continued investment in its innovation and technology capabilities. In 2025, Verisure has invested approximately €170 million in technology and innovation, with the objective of developing new cutting-edge security products and services, driving volume growth, supporting premium positioning, engaging customers to increase usage and ultimately contributing to margin growth through reducing cost-to-serve.

Aon Launches Power Lifecycle Program to Support Conventional Gas Power Projects Powering Digital Infrastructure Growth

New multiline insurance solution offers up to $2.5 billion in coverage across construction and operations for utility and digital infrastructure clients

DUBLIN, Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Aon plc (NYSE: AON), a leading global professional services firm, today announced the launch of its Power Lifecycle Program (PLP), a new integrated insurance solution designed to support conventional gas power projects from construction through testing, commissioning and into operations.

Reliable power generation is becoming increasingly important as demand for digital infrastructure, cloud computing and artificial intelligence accelerates. PLP is designed to help organizations investing at scale in power generation – whether behind the meter for dedicated digital infrastructure or in front of the meter to serve broader grid demand – address the growing risks associated with power assets required to meet rising energy needs.

"As investment in energy infrastructure continues to grow, organizations require risk solutions that evolve alongside increasingly complex power assets," said Joe Peiser, CEO of Risk Capital, Aon. "Our Power Lifecycle Program provides a coordinated insurance solution from construction, testing and commissioning through to operation. By bringing multiple coverages together within a single lifecycle framework, Aon's Power Lifecycle Program helps clients take a more holistic approach to managing project, operational and infrastructure risk."

A Lifecycle Approach to Power Risk

Developing a conventional power project involves managing interconnected risks across construction, testing, commissioning and early operations – and a loss or interruption at any stage can affect schedules, financing commitments and anticipated revenue – particularly when insurance is arranged separately at each stage. PLP's lifecycle model moves insurance from a series of disconnected placements to a single coordinated risk-transfer strategy that supports a project from site selection and construction through commissioning and ongoing operations. The result is generally better continuity of cover, reduced coverage gaps, improved capital efficiency, and greater confidence for developers, owners, lenders and investors.

Key features of PLP generally include:

- Up to $2.5 billion in Erection All Risks and Delay in Startup coverage per project, for the construction, testing and commissioning periods

- Up to $2.5 billion in Operational Property Damage and Business Interruption coverage per project, for the immediate operational period

- Up to $100 million of Construction and Operational Third-Party Liability (excluding U.S. Projects)

- Clients can opt for a tailored risk advisory assessment of the risk to projects from natural catastrophe, climate, cyber, casualty, supply chain and business interruption risks, delivering enterprise resilience from site selection through to portfolio scale. Risk Engineering and Casualty consulting available.

The program is underpinned by a lead panel of London-based carriers, combining power-sector expertise with meaningful capacity for global clients. Beyond the lead panel, the balance of capacity is predominantly London-based, complemented by significant participation from key local and global markets, providing the breadth, resilience and reach required to support projects worldwide.

PLP is available to power infrastructure developers, private equity firms funding power project developments, contractors controlling construction cover and power infrastructure owners for both grid-connected standalone conventional gas power projects and dedicated projects supporting data centers.

The launch comes as the rapid expansion of data centers drives significant investment in conventional power generation capacity and builds on Aon's established position supporting digital infrastructure clients through the Data Center Lifecycle Insurance Program that expanded to $5 billion in capacity in July 2026. Together, the two programs reflect Aon's lifecycle approach to helping clients build, operate and scale critical infrastructure with greater confidence.

ISO and UNDP launch world's first International Standard to advance action on the Sustainable Development Goals

ISO and UNDP launch world's first International Standard to advance action on the Sustainable Development Goals

PARIS, Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- ISO and UNDP today launched ISO/UNDP 53001, Management systems for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – Requirements, live from the first day of the ISO Annual Meeting. The new standard is the world's first International Standard providing organizations with a structured management system to integrate the SDGs into strategy, governance and operations.

As governments, businesses and institutions face growing expectations to demonstrate meaningful progress on sustainable development, ISO/UNDP 53001 provides a globally agreed approach to help organizations move beyond commitment towards measurable implementation and continual improvement.

ISO/UNDP 53001, for the first time, provides tools to enable organizations to identify priorities, establish objectives, integrate them into existing processes and measure performance over time. As a requirements-based management system standard, it provides a consistent basis for demonstrating that an organization's approach meets defined requirements, strengthening accountability and confidence in the actions taken.

ISO Secretary-General Sergio Mujica said the launch represents an important step in supporting organizations to make measurable progress towards the SDGs.

"The SDGs have provided a shared global vision for a decade. Today, organizations are looking for concrete ways to translate that vision into action," Mr Mujica said.

"International Standards have long helped organizations address complex global challenges by providing a common language and a shared framework for action. We are delighted to launch ISO/UNDP 53001 today, extending this proven approach to the SDGs and helping organizations create positive impact for people and planet."

UNDP identified ISO as its international standards development partner for the initiative, bringing together UNDP's expertise in sustainable development with ISO's global standardization system and network of national standards bodies.

Marcos Neto, UN Assistant Secretary-General and Director of UNDP's Bureau for Policy and Programme Support stated that achieving the SDGs will depend on organizations of every kind playing an active role in advancing sustainable development.

"The SDGs provide a shared blueprint for a more inclusive and prosperous future. Achieving that requires organizations everywhere to turn ambition into action," Mr Neto said.

"We are proud to launch ISO/UNDP 53001 alongside ISO as a crucial tool to help organizations embed the SDGs into the way they operate, lead and govern. By making sustainability part of everyday decision-making, the standard can help accelerate progress towards the 2030 Agenda."

Jens Heiede, Chief Executive Officer of Danish Standards, said developing the world's first International Standard dedicated to the SDGs required international collaboration to build consensus across a broad range of sectors and perspectives.

"Creating a standard that could be applied by organizations of every size, sector and geography required extensive collaboration between experts from around the world. Together, we developed a practical and internationally agreed set of requirements that organizations can apply with confidence," Mr Heiede said.

ISO/UNDP 53001 is designed to provide long-term value by supporting the current SDGs and any subsequent global goals that supersede the 2030 Agenda.

ISO/UNDP 53001 is available at https://www.iso.org/standard/53001.

- *Pain is a significant healthcare challenge in the region, due to the ageing population and the high burden of chronic diseases.[1],[2], [3]

- The partnership is a key step in Grünenthal's strategy to enhance patient care and expand access to its innovative medicines.

AACHEN, Germany, Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Grünenthal, a global leader in pain management and research, and DKSH Business Unit Healthcare, a strategic healthcare business partner and leading provider of Market Expansion Services for pharmaceutical, over-the-counter (OTC), consumer health and medical device companies, today announced a new partnership agreement to bring four Grünenthal medicines, Qutenza®, Vimovo®, Palexia® and Zomig®, to Asia-Pacific, accelerating access to innovative pain therapies in the region.

The partnership will support the availability of Grünenthal's pain medicines across eight markets in Asia-Pacific: Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam, bringing up to four new medicines to patients in each market, pending local regulatory approvals. Under the agreement, DKSH will commercialise the medicines on Grünenthal's behalf across the eight markets, being responsible for seeking local marketing authorisations and the activities of marketing, medical, market access, sales and distribution. "Qutenza®, Vimovo®, Palexia® and Zomig® have delivered meaningful benefits to millions of people living with pain worldwide. Pain is a significant healthcare challenge in Asia-Pacific, due to the ageing population and the high burden of chronic diseases.1,2,3 Hundreds of millions of people in the region may be living with chronic pain, based on population figures and global estimates of chronic pain prevalence.2,3

Grünenthal and DKSH first established their partnership in 2023, when DKSH took over the commercialisation of the already established medicines Nebido®, Zomig® and Tramal® in selected Asia-Pacific markets. Under the new agreement, DKSH will now seek local marketing authorisations for Qutenza®, Vimovo®, Palexia® and Zomig® across the eight participating markets, with Zomig® being introduced in additional markets not covered by the 2023 agreement.

Statement on the responsible use of opioids

General considerations for the management of pain with any medication that contains an opioid mechanism of action.

All opioid medications are not authorised for all types of pain indication. Always refer to the product prescribing information.

An individualised, patient-centred approach for the diagnosis and treatment of pain is essential to establish a therapeutic alliance between patient and clinician.

To optimise opioid treatment:

- It is important to optimally use multimodal, non-opioid approaches in acute and chronic pain before escalating to opioids or in conjunction with opioid therapy.

- Opioids should be used only when benefits for pain and function are expected to outweigh risks.

- Consider patient variables that may affect opioid dose for each patient prior to opioid use.

- During ongoing opioid therapy, clinicians should collaborate with patients to evaluate and carefully weigh benefits and risks of continuing opioid therapy and exercise care when increasing, continuing, or reducing opioid dosage.

- Make a careful selection of patients, abuse risk factors evaluated, and regular monitoring and follow-up implemented to ensure that opioids are used appropriately and in alignment with treatment goals (pain intensity and functionality) as agreed with the patient.

- Make patients aware of the potential side effects of opioids and the potential for developing tolerance, dependence and addiction.

- Addiction is possible even when opioids are taken as directed.

- Signs of opioid use disorder should be monitored and addressed.

If an opioid is authorised and selected for treatment of acute pain, please consider:

- The use should be for the shortest necessary time.

If an opioid is authorised and selected for treatment of chronic pain, please consider:

- To continue opioid therapy only if there is clinically meaningful improvement in pain and function that outweighs risks to patient safety.

- Regular monitoring, clinical reviews, re-evaluations are required for long-term opioid treatment to assess pain control, impact on lifestyle, physical and psychological well-being, side effects and continued need for treatment.

- How opioid therapy will be discontinued if benefits do not outweigh risks (CDC new ref), incl. tapering down the dose where possible.

Patients and the general public can benefit from clear educational materials and awareness interventions to support the responsible use of opioids.

HAMBURG, Germany, Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Envision Energy, a global leader in green technology, has received Type Certification from DNV for its TG Pro (EN-206/8.35 60 Hz) wind turbine, marking an important milestone in the collaboration between the two companies and further validating the technical maturity and market readiness of Envision's next-generation wind turbine platform.

The certificate was presented during WindEnergy Hamburg 2026 by Mette Redanz, Vice President of Renewables Certification at DNV, and Yimin Lou, Senior Vice President and Chief Product Officer of Envision Energy. The ceremony underscored the role of independent certification and industry collaboration in supporting the development of advanced wind technologies.

Since its launch in 2024, the TG Pro (EN-206/8.35 60 Hz) has secured multiple orders in China and international markets and undergone extensive prototype and commercial validation. Built on Envision's Model TG Pro platform, the turbine combines a high-performance turbine architecture, optimized aerodynamic design and intelligent control technologies to improve energy capture and generation efficiency across a broad range of wind conditions.

The TG Pro platform is also designed for long-term reliability, with strengthened key components and engineering solutions tailored to demanding operating environments. Its validation process has included component testing, digital-twin simulation, multi-site prototype operation and commercial deployment, providing a comprehensive basis for evaluating the turbine's performance and reliability. The DNV Type Certification provides independent third-party confirmation that the turbine design meets applicable certification requirements.

"The continued advancement of our next-generation turbine portfolio is built on rigorous validation and real-world application." said Yimin Lou, Senior Vice President and Chief Product Officer of Envision Energy, "The DNV certification of TG Pro further demonstrates the maturity of the platform and its readiness to serve customers across diverse international markets. As renewable power systems evolve, Envision will continue to advance intelligent, high-performance and reliable turbine technologies for Future Energy Systems, enabling renewable energy to deliver greater value at scale."

"Independent certification provides an important foundation for confidence in wind turbine technology, helping manufacturers, developers and other stakeholders assess the performance, reliability and compliance of new turbine platforms. We are pleased to support Envision through the certification of TG Pro." added Mette Redanz, Vice President of Renewables Certification at DNV.

Beyond TG Pro, Envision is also showcasing its broader wind turbine portfolio at WindEnergy Hamburg 2026. Its EN-156/5.0 MW platform has received a Provisional Type Certificate from Bureau Veritas. The certification process was completed in less than five months, providing independent third-party assessment of the platform's design and technical capabilities as it moves toward broader commercial deployment.

Developed for the Asia-Pacific region, the EN-156/5.0 MW is being deployed at the Manar Wind Power Project in Sri Lanka, representing Envision's first utility-scale wind turbine order in the country. Featuring a 110-meter hub height and enhanced anti-corrosion specifications, the turbine is designed for demanding coastal environments characterized by high salinity and humidity. The combination of international certification and real-world project deployment demonstrates the platform's focus on reliability and environmental adaptability, supporting its application in Sri Lanka and other markets across the region.

Together, the two certification milestones demonstrate Envision's continued focus on rigorous engineering, independent validation and market-specific product development. Through collaboration with leading international certification bodies and customers across diverse markets, Envision is advancing wind turbine technologies that combine performance, reliability and adaptability for the evolving global energy system.

BUDAPEST, Hungary, Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Hoymiles has launched the HoyUltra 2000M, its full-scenario commercial and industrial (C&I) battery energy storage system (BESS), at the first stop of its European C&I Energy Storage Roadshow in Budapest on 24th-25th September 2026. The roadshow takes Hoymiles' C&I storage portfolio and project experience to local developers, investors and partners across Europe.

Europe's C&I energy storage market is entering a more project-driven stage, where opportunities increasingly depend not only on technology, but also on project economics, safety, certification and execution. In this context, Hoymiles takes its C&I BESS expertise directly to local markets through a European roadshow tour, presenting how its new HoyUltra 2000M makes a difference for businesses.

Co-organized with GNX, the Budapest roadshow covered European storage market trends, C&I business opportunities, certification, project development and operational returns. "By partnering with Hoymiles, we bring together technology and local market experience to help European customers explore practical opportunities in C&I energy storage", said GNX CEO Daniel Racsek.

Experts from S&P Global Commodity Insights, LCP Delta and TÜV SÜD shared perspectives on market trends, business models, European standards and safety requirements. In a keynote presentation, Susanne von Aichberger, Principal Analyst at S&P Global Commodity Insights, described C&I BESS as "a market coming of age". Overall, BESS is transforming from an emerging market to a critical infrastructure.

The HoyUltra 2000M is a full-scenario C&I energy storage solution for applications from small commercial systems to large-scale projects. The platform already covers small, mid-size and large C&I use cases, with more than 2 GWh of Hoymiles C&I storage in operation worldwide.

"As the European C&I market evolves, customers need more than individual products. They need solutions that can address different project scenarios and the realities of deployment," said Guy Rong, Hoymiles Vice President.

On the following day, participants visited a local C&I solar-plus-storage project in Hungary, where 16 HoyUltra 2000M systems were deployed.

For Hoymiles, the Budapest event represents more than a product launch. It reflects the company's ambition to deepen its presence in Europe's C&I energy storage market and work more closely with local partners throughout the project lifecycle.

Following Budapest, the roadshow will continue across multiple European cities, bringing Hoymiles' full-scenario C&I energy storage solutions and local market engagement to more customers and partners.

59th CIFF Guangzhou: Power the Next. Celebrating 30 years, CIFF Guangzhou looks ahead to a new era of design, innovation and global business

GUANGZHOU, China, Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The 59th China International Furniture Fair (CIFF Guangzhou) will be held in Guangzhou Pazhou in two phases, on March 18–21 and March 28–31, 2027, marking an important milestone: 30 years since the foundation of CIFF.

Under the theme "Power the Next", the 2027 edition will celebrate three decades of continuous evolution while looking firmly towards the future. Across 850,000 sqm, CIFF Guangzhou will once again bring together the entire furniture industry, connecting design, new lifestyles, advanced manufacturing and global business.

The new edition builds on the strong results achieved in 2026, when the 57th CIFF Guangzhou welcomed 353,106 professional visitors from 185 countries and regions, including a record 64,291 overseas attendees, up 13.2% year on year, alongside more than 5,100 brands from 36 countries and regions.

A strong foundation for an edition designed to take CIFF Guangzhou's international development one step further.

Intelligence and sustainability will run across the entire 59th CIFF Guangzhou — from smart homes and workplaces to advanced manufacturing, new materials and increasingly sustainable approaches to production and exhibition design.

Design and new lifestyles

During Phase 1, March 18–21, Home Furniture will offer a comprehensive overview of contemporary living, bringing together leading brands and new products across high-end design, whole-house customization, upholstery, living and dining furniture.

Original design will remain a major focus, with a new Designer Sourcing Zone creating direct connections between brands, designers, manufacturers and buyers.

At the same time, CIFF will continue to explore some of the fastest-evolving areas of contemporary living, including smart furniture, healthy and elderly-friendly living, pet living and new retail.

Homedecor & Hometextile will present a broad spectrum of interior decoration and textile solutions, while Outdoor Furniture, Sunshade & Leisure will showcase the evolution of outdoor living through furniture, sunshade systems, materials and leisure products.

New scenarios for work and commercial spaces

During Phase 2, March 28–31, Office & Commercial Space will explore the transformation of workplaces and public environments, with particular attention to design, wellbeing, flexibility, smart technologies and sustainability.

From integrated office solutions and seating — including a dedicated E-sports Seating Zone — to expanded solutions for education and hospitality environments, the exhibition will present new approaches to the rapidly changing ways in which people work, interact and experience shared spaces.

Smart manufacturing and material innovation

Completing the entire furniture supply chain, CIFM/interzum guangzhou will bring together leading companies in furniture machinery, hardware and materials.

Automation, flexible production, smart home hardware and innovative materials will demonstrate how technology is transforming furniture manufacturing, improving efficiency, customization and product quality while supporting the industry's transition towards more sustainable production models.

Strengthening global connections

Internationalisation will remain at the heart of CIFF Guangzhou's strategy.

Building on the record international attendance achieved in 2026, CIFF will further develop its relationships with international buyers, professional communities, industry associations, designers and media, while strengthening sourcing, matchmaking and networking opportunities.

Online and offline initiatives will increasingly connect exhibitors and buyers before, during and after the fair, reinforcing CIFF Guangzhou's role as a year-round platform for international trade and industry exchange.

30 years of evolution. The next chapter begins

Over three decades, CIFF has evolved alongside the furniture industry itself, becoming a global platform connecting Design Trends, Global Trade and the Complete Supply Chain. Today, this evolution extends well beyond the eight exhibition days.

Through its "8+365" service model, CIFF connects the physical exhibition with continuous sourcing, matchmaking, industry insights and cross-border collaboration, creating new opportunities for exhibitors and buyers throughout the year.

With "Power the Next", the 59th CIFF Guangzhou will celebrate this journey by looking decisively ahead — towards new design cultures, smarter technologies, sustainable development, changing lifestyles and increasingly interconnected global markets.
