Qloo's proprietary cross-domain AI models uncover unexpected connections between EV buyers and off-road enthusiasts, giving automakers a new lens for product design, positioning and investment.

NEW YORK, Oct. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Qloo, the AI company powering cultural intelligence and taste-based inference, today highlighted new research conducted with global management consulting firm Kearney's Product Excellence and Renewal Lab (PERLab), demonstrating how artificial intelligence can reveal overlooked market opportunities by understanding the connections between consumer interests, lifestyles, and preferences.

The research, published by Kearney in its report Can rising fuel costs and a love for the outdoors open the market for off-road EVs?, combines Kearney's automotive and product strategy expertise with Qloo's proprietary Taste AI platform to examine an emerging question for automakers: could traditional off-road enthusiasts represent a significant opportunity for the next generation of electric vehicles?

The findings challenge conventional assumptions about who the next EV customer might be.

Using Qloo's cross-domain taste intelligence, researchers analyzed the cultural affinities associated with three distinct audiences: traditional off-road enthusiasts, mainstream electric vehicle buyers, and a Rivian-associated audience.

The analysis revealed that traditional off-road enthusiasts and mainstream EV buyers share substantially more cultural interests than conventional automotive segmentation might suggest.

Among the findings:

- Unexpected audience convergence: Off-road enthusiasts and mainstream EV buyers exhibited meaningful overlap across outdoor brands, entertainment, media, and lifestyle interests, challenging assumptions that these audiences occupy fundamentally different cultural worlds.

- An underserved market opportunity: The research identified potential white space for rugged, utility-focused electric vehicles in the 60,000 segment, where mainstream affordability and credible off-road capabilities have yet to converge at scale.

- Cultural signals beyond conventional demographics: Qloo's AI revealed relationships across brands, media, fashion, dining, retail, and travel that traditional vehicle ownership data or demographic analysis may overlook.

- Implications for product development: The findings suggest automakers can use cross-category consumer intelligence to inform product positioning, feature prioritization, and market-entry strategies earlier in the development process.

"Much of our work at Kearney PERLab centers on helping companies turn customer insight into better product decisions. Qloo gave us a different lens," said Alexander Bruns, Partner at Kearney. "At first, looking at interests in food, clothing, magazines, and music can feel off-topic. But those cultural signals revealed meaningful links between seemingly different audiences, including a finding we did not expect: mainstream EV buyers may have more in common with hardcore off-roaders than the industry assumes. That matters when deciding which features are essential, where differentiation is worth investing in, and where complexity can be reduced."

The study also found that the Rivian-associated audience exhibits a more design-oriented interpretation of outdoor adventure, while mainstream EV buyers share significant affinities with traditional off-road enthusiasts - suggesting room for differentiated products serving distinct consumer identities.

Understanding What Consumers Will Value Next

"Consumers don't live in industry silos, but most market research still puts them there," said Jay Alger, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Qloo. "What people love across the rest of their lives can tell you a tremendous amount about what they may value next. Our work with Kearney demonstrates how AI can uncover connections that aren't immediately obvious - whether you're designing the next generation of vehicles, entering a new market, or building more intelligent customer experiences. That's the power of understanding taste across domains."

Unlike traditional approaches that rely primarily on demographics, surveys, or historical purchasing behavior, Qloo models relationships among cultural entities and consumer preferences across categories.

Its privacy-first architecture enables organizations to explore affinities and make inferences without relying on personally identifiable information.

The approach provides a complementary intelligence layer for understanding consumers and evaluating new market opportunities.

A New Intelligence Layer for Product and Market Strategy

The Kearney research illustrates a broader application of Qloo's technology: using cross-domain AI inference to inform strategic decisions well beyond conventional personalization and recommendation systems.

By mapping relationships among culture, preference, and place, Qloo enables organizations to explore how interests in one domain may relate to opportunities in another.

These capabilities have applications across automotive, commerce, financial services, travel, hospitality, and the emerging generation of AI-powered agents - where understanding relevance and preference is increasingly important to making useful real-world decisions.

The research underscores how AI-powered cultural intelligence can complement traditional market research, helping businesses identify unexpected customer adjacencies, evaluate product concepts, and better understand what consumers value before making significant strategic investments.

The full Kearney research is available here:

Can rising fuel costs and a love for the outdoors open the market for off-road EVs?

The Q3 2026 study compared interest-defined audience cohorts, including a Rivian-affinity cohort rather than verified owners. Findings are directional and do not establish purchase intent or market size.

"Breakthrough T1D is honored to present these awards and recognize these incredible individuals who embody our mission to accelerate research toward cures for type 1 diabetes while improving the lives of those who live with it," said Breakthrough T1D Chief Scientific Officer Sanjoy Dutta, Ph.D. "This group of researchers has played a role in major scientific breakthroughs that have increased our understanding of T1D and led to technologies and therapies that have changed the course of the disease for millions around the world. We are grateful for their leadership and contributions."

George Eisenbarth Award for Type 1 Diabetes Prevention

Named after esteemed researcher George Eisenbarth, M.D., Ph.D., who provided the foundation for predicting T1D and identifying novel approaches toward prevention and cures, this award recognizes researchers who have made great contributions to preventing T1D.

Dr. Carla Greenbaum is an endocrinologist in the Center for Interventional Immunology at Benaroya Research Institute in Seattle, Washington, an institution internationally renowned for immune disease research and a highly collaborative environment with basic, translational, systems, and clinical researchers working together to accelerate bringing new science to clinical use. Dr. Greenbaum has been at the forefront of understanding the T1D disease process for almost four decades, conducting some of the first studies showing that autoantibodies predict T1D disease years before clinical diagnosis and serving as clinical center director of the Northwest Diabetes Prevention Trial (DPT-1) in the 1990s.⯠â¯

Dr. Greenbaum later served as vice chair and subsequently chair of Diabetes TrialNet, leading this National Institutes of Health (NIH) sponsored international network in conducting trials to slow or stop the disease before or after diagnosis, including the landmark trial demonstrating that teplizumab delayed the onset of stage 3 T1D. Currently, she is Co-Director of Diabetes TrialNet Clinical Hub and serves on the Scientific Advisory Board of the NIH funded Immune Tolerance Network. In addition to academic work, she actively engages with the industry to advance therapies to alter the course of T1D.â¯

Breakthrough T1D David Rumbough Award

The Breakthrough T1D David Rumbough Award acknowledges an individual who has made outstanding achievements in the field of T1D that have significantly accelerated the Breakthrough T1D mission.

Dr. William Tamborlane had a distinguished career as an academic pediatric endocrinologist and diabetes researcher. His groundbreaking study of the portable insulin pump for individuals with T1D and dedication to the families who participated in the rigorous research protocols changed the trajectory of many people's lives and had a tremendous impact on the field. He understood, with great conviction, that the achievement of glycemic targets would prevent long-term complicationsâa principle later confirmed unequivocally by the landmark Diabetes Control and Complications Trial (DCCT), the results of which were published in theâ¯New England Journal of Medicineâ¯in 1993. At the time of his retirement from Yale School of Medicine, his curriculum vitae listed over one thousand articles, book chapters, and guidance documents.

Over the course of his career, he received over 25 national and international honors, including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF, now Breakthrough T1D) Mary Tyler Moore and S. Robert Levine, M.D. Excellence in Clinical Research Award in 2006 and the American Diabetes Association Outstanding Achievement in Clinical Diabetes Research Award in 2017.

Dr. Robert Goldstein Award

Named for Dr. Robert Goldstein, who played a key role in developing Breakthrough T1D's Research department and served as chief scientific officer for Breakthrough International and Breakthrough T1D Canada for decades, the award recognizes notable early career T1D researchers who show great promise for future work in the field.

Dr. Peter Thompson is associate professor of physiology and pathophysiology in the University of Manitoba's Max Rady College of Medicine and research scientist at the Children's Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba. He completed his Ph.D. in medical genetics in 2016 studying stem cell biology at the University of British Columbia, and his postdoctoral training in islet biology and T1D at the University of California San Francisco Diabetes Center in 2020. Dr. Thompson established his independent research program as an assistant professor at University of Manitoba in 2020.

Dr. Thompson's research has focused on senescence as a mechanism contributing to beta cell dysfunction in T1D, and as a potential target for developing disease-modifying therapies. His work highlights the active role beta cells play in disease progression and points to stress response pathways that may offer long term therapeutic opportunities. Dr. Thompson's research program is funded by major national grants including from Breakthrough T1D Canada, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, and Diabetes Canada.

Mary Tyler Moore and S. Robert Levine, M.D., Excellence in Clinical Research Award

This award was established in honor of Breakthrough T1D's (formerly JDRF's) International Chairman, Mary Tyler Moore and her husband, S. Robert Levine, M.D., for their extraordinary commitment to Breakthrough T1D's mission. Established in 2004, this award recognizes leaders and innovators of outstanding clinical and translational T1D research.

Dr. Roy Beck is a physician and epidemiologist with more than 35 years of experience directing and coordinating multi-center clinical trials. He is the Medical Director of the JAEB Center for Health Research, a nonprofit clinical trial coordinating center in Tampa, Florida that he founded in 1993. Diabetes became a major focus of the JAEB Center and Dr. Beck's research after one of his children developed T1D in the 1990s.

During the last 25 years, he has directed the coordinating center for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded Diabetes Research in Children Network, the JDRF (now Breakthrough T1D) Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) Randomized Trial, the Pediatric Diabetes Consortium, the Type 1 Diabetes Exchange, and numerous CGM, automated insulin delivery system, and drug studies funded by NIH, Breakthrough T1D, the Helmsley Charitable Trust, and industry. Dr. Beck has been an author or co-author of more than 600 manuscripts in scientific journals.

Breakthrough T1D research award recipients were recognized at a ceremony in Philadelphia earlier in October 2026.

Breakthrough T1D recognizes and appreciates all the dedicated researchers who are committed to finding cures and improving the lives of those living with T1D.

About Breakthrough T1D, Formerly JDRF

As the leading global type 1 diabetes research and advocacy organization, Breakthrough T1D helps make everyday life with type 1 diabetes better while drivingâ¯toward cures.â¯We do this by investing in the most promising research, advocating for progress by working with government to address issues that impact the T1D community, and helping educate and empower individuals facing this condition.

About Type 1 Diabetes (T1D)

T1D is an autoimmune condition that causes the pancreas to make very little insulin or none at all. Thisâ¯leads to dependence on insulin therapy and the risk of short and long-term complications, which can include highs and lows in blood sugar; damage to the kidneys, eyes, nerves, and heart; and even death. Globally, it impacts 9.5 million people. Many believe T1D is only diagnosed in childhood and adolescence, but diagnosis in adulthood is common and accounts for nearly 50% of all T1D diagnoses. The onset of T1D has nothing to do with diet or lifestyle. While its causes are not yet entirely understood, scientists believe that both genetic factors and environmental triggers are involved. There is currently no cure for T1D.

Globant Expands Glob.AI With Glob.AI OS, an Operating System for Enterprise AI
Image File
Original HTML

- Glob.AI complements its AI Pods delivery units with Glob.AI OS, a unified governance layer that keeps organizations sovereign, contextualized and secure, with the intelligence to route requests to 320+ AI models, connect data sources and systems, and act as a repository for agents to be created and executed at scale

- Glob.AI is Globant's AI-Native Services Platform: enterprises pay for outcomes or consumption, rather than hours or seats. AI-Native Services engagements have delivered up to 7Ã faster legacy modernization and 3Ã faster product discovery.

NEW YORK, Oct. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Globant (NYSE: GLOB) today expanded Glob.AI, its AI-Native Services Platform, with Glob.AI OS, a unified layer to govern and adopt AI across the enterprise, making AI controllable, contextual and scalable.

Most enterprises already use AI in many places at once: several models, teams building their own agents, tools connected to sensitive data, and spend spread across vendors. The problem isn't capability, it's scaling it across the enterprise: turning access to AI into production outcomes, with governance, accountability and security. Glob.AI OS is the governed foundation underneath every AI call, supporting identity, agent lifecycle management, cost visibility and auditability, through:

- Intelligence Hub: connects 320+ open source and closed models from 25+ providers and routes each task to the most cost-efficient option, optimizing token consumption across AI Pods and everyday work alike.

- Corporate Hub: connects AI to the company's data, systems, identity and industry knowledge, so context doesn't have to be rebuilt every time something new starts.

- Agentic Hub: refines and tests agentic solutions before deployment, and orchestrates their execution with runtime governance.

- Token Vault: governs who uses AI, what they can do and how it operates, with budgets, cost attribution, an auditable record of AI activity and real-time visibility into where the investment lands.

Glob.AI OS enables daily AI adoption through Glob.AI Apps, which bring governed AI into everyday work. With Glob.AI Apps, people across the organization get answers, delegate tasks, build software with any coding agent and use specialized agentic solutions from Globant and its partners, and teams scope and run projects with AI Pods from the same place. Glob.AI OS runs as SaaS or in the client's own cloud, and is accessible through chat, web, desktop, command-line interfaces or headlessly via MCP. Client data stays their own and never trains anyone's model.

"We are making it seamless for global leaders to take the best out of AI leveraging Globant's 23+ years of experience working with top companies in almost every industry in a completely reshuffled engagement model where they only pay for outcomes," said Sarab Narang, CEO of Glob.AI. "Glob.AI OS lets a large organization put AI in the hands of many teams and many agents, while keeping one clear answer to who used it, on what data, at what cost, and under which policy."

Glob.AI, the AI-Native Services Platform for Enterprise AI Adoption

Glob.AI is built on two pillars that work together: AI Pods and Glob.AI OS. Together they let enterprises move from experimentation to production-ready outcomes, paying for outcomes or consumption rather than hours or seats.

AI Pods are human-supervised delivery units that combine documented workflows, AI agents and expert supervision from Globant, including Forward Deployed Engineers. Agents handle execution-intensive tasks while experts supervise outputs and remain accountable for delivery. Each AI Pod addresses a specific business challenge, from software development and testing to application modernization and ongoing operations, and runs on Glob.AI OS, so every Pod inherits the same governance, security and institutional knowledge as the rest of the organization's AI.

Traditional technology services models typically organize delivery around hours, team size and available capacity. But as AI changes how work is performed, enterprises have an opportunity to rethink the relationship between the resources they purchase and the results they receive.

"AI has taken the world by storm, but having access to technology is not enough. Enterprises need a new

way to put it to work, with more transparency, control and speed. Glob.AI brings intelligence, enterprise context and the agentic layer together so organizations can access AI Native Services and ship working, production-ready outcomes through AI Pods," said MartÃn Migoya, Co-Founder and CEO of Globant. "We are extremely proud of what we are bringing to the world. Our deep expertise and experience in delivering business solutions for the best companies in the world has prepared us for this exact moment. We're not just reinventing services; we have created a new category of delivering business outcomes."

Measurable impact across real-world Customer Success

VidantaWorld Mexico Open Best Bets and Golf Odds:

The Butterfield Bermuda Championship was shortened to a 54-hole event because of unplayable conditions from the strong winds. However, play did not end until Monday morning when 54-hole co-leaders Austin Smotherman and Seamus Power went to the par-3 16th and played it three times. Smotherman, a pre-tournament price of 33-1, won the playoff on the third playoff hole and won his second start in a row. Three weeks ago, Smotherman won his maiden PGA Tour event in his 100th start at the Bank of Utah Championship. This column had to settle for second again with Power. Smotherman locked himself into next season’s first two Signature events — AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and Genesis Invitational — while Power locked up his full PGA Tour card for 2027.

As the 2026 PGA Tour season winds down, the tour begins a two-week stint in Mexico, first at VidantaWorld for the Mexico Open. The FedExCup Fall is still in the balance, with players trying to get into FedExCup spots 51-60, like Smotherman did, to earn entry into the Signature Events. Others are looking to finish inside the Top 100 to keep full PGA Tour status for 2027, like Power did last week.

None of that is of concern for U.S. Open champion Wyndham Clark (12-1), who won three times this season and, at No. 5 OWGR, is one of only three top-50 players in this week’s field.

Tom Kim (+1800), who finished third to Clark at the U.S. Open, sits as second choice this week.

Doug Ghim (18-1) finished eighth here in 2024 and was the runner-up to Smotherman three weeks ago at the Bank of Utah Championship as he inches closer to his first PGA Tour victory. Also at 18-1 is Ben James, who has four top-5 finishes since turning professional in June, but did miss the cut last week in Bermuda.

After winning three times in 2025, including at the World Wide Technology Championship, which is next week’s event, Ben Griffin (20-1) is still looking for his first victory in 2026.

A trio priced at 28-1 includes John Keefer, who has five top-10 finishes, including two thirds, in his current rookie season on tour, Cotey Conners, who finished third last week and missed out on joining Monday’s playoff by one stroke; and Marco Penge, who currently ranks 53rd in the OWGR and is looking to get into the top 50 by year’s end, which earns exemptions into all four majors.

Three weeks ago, Blades Brown (33-1) finished runner-up in the Korn Ferry Tour Championship to finish ninth on the points list and therefore made history by becoming the youngest player to ever earn a PGA Tour card via the Korn Ferry Tour at 19 years, 4 months old.

Brian Campbell (225-1) won this event in a playoff last year in the spring of 2025 over Aldrich Potgieter (80-1), who we had tipped in this column. Campbell’s drive on the first playoff hole was headed toward the trees before he got an incredible bounce, and the ball ended up back in the fairway. Although he was almost 100 yards behind Aldrich Potgieter, he still had a shot. He ripped a fairway wood to wedge distance and rolled in a four-footer for birdie. When Potgieter missed a six-foot birdie attempt, Campbell had won.

Tony Finau (80-1) won this event in 2023 after finishing runner-up the year prior. Currently at No. 107 in the FedExCup Fall, Finau is one of the many players fighting to finish in the Top 100 in order to ensure full PGA Tour playing privileges in 2027.

The Event

The VidantaWorld Mexico Open was first played as the Mexican Open in 1944 at the Club de Golf Chapultepec. It was an event on the Tour de las Américas between 2003 and 2006 and was co-sanctioned by the European Challenge Tour from 2004 to 2006. Then, it became a Nationwide Tour event in 2008. In 2013, the tournament was moved to March and became an official event for PGA Tour Latinoamérica. The tournament would also be moved to Club de Golf Mexico.

In 2022, the tournament became an official event on the PGA Tour, awarding 500 FedEx Cup points to the winner, plus the normal perks for winning a PGA Tour event, including a two-year tour exemption, and invitations to the Masters, PGA Championship and the Players Championship.

The Field

120 players are in this week’s field playing for a $6 million purse and valuable FedExCup Fall points. As mentioned above, only three players in the OWGR Top 50 — Wyndham Clark (5), Ben Griffin (28) and Tom Kim (30) — are here this week.

The Course

Vidanta World is a golf destination in the town of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Set on the Pacific Coast, Grupo Vidanta, within its Vallarta resort complex, has several golf courses, the newest of which is the Norman Signature Course.

Designed by Greg Norman and opened in 2015, it is only accessible via the world’s longest golf cart suspension bridge. The course itself is set on the Ameca River, with a few holes running alongside. It is a resort course by nature, with the course seemingly flat, with plenty of lakes and ponds forming hazards around the setup. The layout features panoramic views of the Sierra Madre mountain range. This design is surrounded by trees, native grasses and jungle patches.

Vidanta Vallarta is a par-71 course that measures out to 7,337 yards, playing around 100 yards shorter this year, and players will see a rerouting and new design specifically focused on Nos. 4, 8, 17 and 18. The fourth was completely redesigned to a 423-yard par 4 from a 520-yard hole. Hole Nos. 18, 9, 1 and 10 are now situated in a single quadrant to improve fan experience, while No. 17 will feature a stadium-style build-out. No. 11 changed from a par-3 to a par-4 while No. 13 is now a drivable par-4 (changed from a par-3). No. 15 is also now a par-3 (changed from a par-4).

The fairways are the fifth widest on tour at 41 yards on average. The Paspalum rough has been grown out to 2.5 inches to provide more of a penalty for missing fairways.

The track is comprised of Paspalum throughout. Paspalum is a very common grass used on coastal courses that is known for being sticky. This means that drives will not roll out as much on the wide fairways and will stop much quicker on the greens. The 7,000-square-foot-average greens (10th largest on tour) should run around an average speed of 11.5 on the stimpmeter.

Bunkers are few (55), but water hazards are plentiful, with 12 water danger holes on the layout.

The length of the course plus the coastal winds are the primary defenses at Vidanta Vallarta, and the winds, especially in the later afternoon, can cause higher scores.

Correlated courses include TPC Craig Ranch, Coco Beach, Corales, TPC San Antonio, Congaree, and Plantation Course at Kapalua. Coco Beach (Puerto Rico Open) and Corales (Corales Puntacana Championship) are both resort-style courses that also feature Paspalum throughout their respective layouts. TPC San Antonio (Valero Texas Open) is another Norman design. TPC Craig Ranch (AT&T Byron Nelson) and Congaree (2021 Congaree Championship) are also courses that favored bombers with wide fairways and non-penal rough.

Weather

Rain is probable for the first two days of competition. Paspalum grass is soft anyway where the ball sticks to the playing surface, so the rain should make it even softer, making carry distance even more important.

Ovation Healthcare Releases New Playbook to Help Rural Hospitals Turn RHTP Funding into Lasting Transformation
Original HTML

BRENTWOOD, Tenn., Oct. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Ovation Healthcare has released a new playbook, From Opportunity to Impact: Five Strategies for Turning RHTP Funding into Sustainable Rural Transformation, to help rural hospitals navigate the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) and translate funding opportunities into meaningful, long-term improvements.

Experience the full interactive Multichannel News Release here: https://www.multivu.com/ovation-healthcare/9385252-en-ovation-healthcare-playbook-help-rural-hospitals-rhtp-funding-lasting-transformation

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services awarded the full $50 billion authorized for the program to all 50 states, providing $10 billion annually from fiscal year 2026 through fiscal year 2030. The program presents a significant opportunity for rural hospitals to strengthen financial performance, expand access to care, and develop the capabilities needed to serve their communities.

While securing funding is an important first step, lasting impact depends on how hospitals align investments with strategic priorities, build implementation capacity and plan for sustainability beyond the five-year funding period. With states progressing through different stages of application, review, award and implementation, rural hospitals must understand their state's priorities and prepare to act as opportunities emerge.

"RHTP creates an important opportunity for rural hospitals to advance strategic initiatives that strengthen their organizations and the communities they serve," said Jessie Neitzer, Executive Strategic Advisor at Ovation Healthcare. "Success will depend on thoughtful planning, strong partnerships, and the ability to translate available resources into measurable outcomes that support long-term sustainability."

The new playbook outlines five strategies to help rural hospitals prepare for and maximize RHTP funding:

- Understand state priorities and funding opportunities.

- Demonstrate readiness to execute.

- Build collaborative partnerships.

- Use early funding to prepare for implementation.

- Coordinate funding and plan for sustainability.

Through this resource, Ovation Healthcare aims to help rural hospitals approach RHTP with a clear strategy for turning available funding into lasting organizational and community benefits.

Download From Opportunity to Impact to strengthen financial stability, build operational resilience, and support long-term success.
