Golden Bake Pushes Biscuit Automation Further with Smart Ingredient Handling at the 140th Canton Fair

From storage and dosing to baking, Golden Bake's automatic silo and material-feeding system aims to lower costs, raise productivity and support ESG goals.

ZHUHAI, China, Oct. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Golden Bake, the flagship baking equipment division of EVERGROWING MACHINERY COMPANY LIMITED, brought its biscuit machines and moulds to the 140th Canton Fair. A 3D model, however, offered a fuller picture of its approach to factory automation. It showed how intelligent silos, automated dosing and conveying systems could work alongside mixing, forming, and baking as one production line.

Much of the work starts before the dough reaches the mixer. Flour needs to arrive in the right quantity and at the right time; a delay here can hold up everything downstream. To address this situation, Golden Bake's automated ingredient handling system is designed to keep production stages running in step.

"Biscuit manufacturers focus on three things: safe operations, product quality, and productivity," said Golden Bake's marketing manager at the fair. "We wanted to show how smart ingredient handling and line-wide controls can cut flour dust exposure and weighing errors at the source, while keeping production moving."

Flour Dust is the First Problem

Before flour reaches a mixer, it must be unpacked, sifted, moved, and stored. Increased exposure to airborne dust and contamination results from manual tipping. The US Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) states that flour is a flammable dust that, in some circumstances, could cause an explosion.

Golden Bake's feeding station combines bag emptying, 30-mesh sifting, and dual-suction, negative-pressure dust extraction. Up to 50kg of flour per minute can be fed and screened through a pulse-cleaned cartridge separator with food-grade anti-static filter media and a rotary valve at the hopper base.

The pneumatic conveying system then transports flour in sealed pipes to storage, including between floors. The powder handling system and the electrical system are designed in compliance with the explosion-proof requirements of GB 50058-2014 and AQ 3009-2007. In a 1,000 kg buffer hopper, dust is controlled by gravity separation and filtration, with intermittent agitation at the bottom to avoid bridging and blockages.

Three Minutes Weighing and ±200 Grams Error

Precision ingredient dosing is not merely about hitting a target weight. The real challenge is keeping small dosing variations from becoming larger process inconsistencies.

A Golden Bake food technologist explained, "With mixed-flour recipes, even a small shift in the ratio can change water absorption, dough strength, and forming performance. In high-volume production, that quickly shows up in biscuit thickness and texture."

That concern is increasingly reflected in bakery investment priorities. According to Baking Business, 59% of respondents to a 2025â26 industrial bakery capital spending survey cited improvements in quality, consistency, and precision among their key investment objectives for 2026.

Golden Bake's automatic dosing system is controlled by a PLC and an HMI touchscreen for ingredient feeding, weighing, and discharge. The 1,000 kg automatic weighing hopper can be fed with different flours separately, by vacuum feeding and pneumatically sealed discharge, to feed horizontal, vertical, or other mixers.

The weighing cycle for a two-flour recipe is about 3 minutes. The tested tolerance is ±200 grams. The system supports recipes and weighing data recording, which helps with product changeovers and reduces the impact of operator turnover.

Cut the Cost of Waiting

Even accurately weighed flour does little good if the mixer is waiting for powdered sugar. And when mixing stalls, the rest of the production line can follow.

Golden Bake's integrated bakery production line is designed to close those gaps. The PLC-controlled scheduling allows sugar to be milled and weighed online and additives to be metered to recipe. Separate temperature-controlled modules pump oils, water and other liquids into the mixer in parallel. This means less waiting for ingredients and a steadier supply of dough to form and bake.

Setups can be adapted to the product, ingredients, and biscuit machine involved. A cookies production line, for example, puts more emphasis on the order in which sugar, fat, and flour enter the process. A cracker production line may require staged mixing and fermentation.

Retrofit, or Build From Scratch

Baking Business also revealed that, among the surveyed bakery enterprises, 32% are focusing on upgrades and retrofitting, while 22% plan to add new equipment or production lines by 2026.

Golden Bake's modular feeding system can be configured for integration with existing biscuit lines, depending on the plant layout and existing equipment. Furthermore, to support clients in establishing new facilities or expanding production areas, Golden Bake offers turnkey biscuit factory solutionsâcovering everything from facility planning and equipment layout to manufacturing, installation, and on-site commissioning.

Alongside the multifunction cookies machine and cream puff production line shown at the fair, its range includes the biscuit sandwich machine, biscuit creaming machine, and wafer stick machine.

As more biscuit makers invest in automation and digital controls, Golden Bake is expanding its global service network and using its engineering experience to help customers improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and extend the useful life of production assets.

About Golden Bake

Golden Bake was founded in 1999 by a team of machine engineers and food processing technologists. As a biscuit production line manufacturer, the company offers equipment for producing various types of biscuitsâincluding cookies, soda crackers, Marie biscuits, and sandwich biscuitsâalong with customized, fully integrated production systems covering ingredient preparation, forming, baking, cooling, and downstream automation.

With its own R&D center and manufacturing facilities, Golden Bake has installed over 3,500 production lines across more than 30 countries and regions. The company has established long-term strategic partnerships with several leading overseas food enterprises.

KPM Analytics Introduces UCAL™ 5, a Guided NIR Calibration Platform for SpectraStar™ XT Analyzer Users
Image File

New NIR calibration platform for SpectraStar⢠XT analyzers reviews every calibration against ASTM and ISO recommendations as the user works, builds a comparison calibration automatically, and teaches with built-in lessons. A 30-day free trial of UCAL 5 Pro is available today.

WESTBOROUGH, Mass., Oct. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- KPM Analytics today announced UCAL 5, a near-infrared (NIR) calibration customization platform for SpectraStar XT Series analyzers. Its patent-pending guided workflow lets users start from KPM calibration libraries with spectra, add their own samples, and publish a calibration for their own products in four steps. As they work, UCAL Insight⢠reviews the data, calibration, and validation results using recommendations from ASTM E1655 and ISO 12099 for developing and validating NIR calibrations. It highlights items the user may want to check before publishing the calibration.

UCAL 5 comes in three editions: Lite, currently included with new SpectraStar XT analyzers, which provides guided calibration development with the essential methods and tools; Pro for the analyst who builds and maintains calibrations; and Enterprise for teams that share projects on a company server.

A reviewer, a builder, and a coach inside the platform

In practice, a user imports spectra and laboratory values, builds the calibration in the Workbench, and sees UCAL Insight's marks on the screen as each step is completed. With UCAL Autopilot switched on, the software builds its own calibration alongside the user's from the same data, and the two appear side by side with the settings that differ. The lessons open from inside the software whenever they are needed.

UCAL Insight is the reviewer. At each step it checks whether there are enough samples, how well the laboratory values cover the required range, and whether new samples confirm the calibration. Each point is marked green, yellow, or red with an explanation of what it means and what to check. They are suggestions, not rules: the user always decides.

UCAL Autopilot⢠is the builder. It tries several methods, presents the best, and lists every setting that differs from the user's choices. After validation, the user compares the two calibrations property by property and decides which to publish.

Built-in lessons are the coach. Fifteen lessons inside the software explain what a calibration is, how it is judged, and why calibrations go wrong, then walk through the real UCAL 5 screens, from adding spectra to publishing a validated calibration. A separate introduction helps experienced UCAL 4 users move over. No previous calibration experience is needed.

"Most calibrations do not fail because the math is wrong. They fail because the samples did not cover the range, or because nobody checked the calibration against new samples before it went on the instrument," said Yuegang Zhao, President of KPM Lab Solutions and Chief Commercial Officer at KPM Analytics. "UCAL 5 puts those checks in front of the user at every step, in the language of the standards the industry already trusts."

Start from a proven KPM calibration

The KPM Analytics Web Store offers over 250 calibrations built and maintained by KPM's application laboratories for food, feed, and agricultural products, from alfalfa hay and canola meal to cheddar cheese. They are sold by the property measured, such as moisture or protein, or in one of 15 ready-made bundles. A calibration is ready to use: it loads directly onto a SpectraStar XT analyzer, for one instrument or as a single file for a full fleet. Optionally, the same calibration can be bought as a calibration library with its spectra. The library opens in UCAL 5, where users add their own samples and keep the calibration current for their own products. The result is published as the user's own calibration and loaded onto one analyzer or the whole fleet, like any KPM calibration.

"Our calibration library represents many years of application work with food, feed, and agricultural products," said Zhao. "UCAL 5 is how a customer takes one of those calibrations and makes it their own."

Four steps from data to a published calibration

UCAL 5 works in four steps: collect the data; clean the data and build the calibration in the Workbench; validate it against samples it has not seen; and combine and publish the final calibration. Every adjustment is saved apart from the original files, so any decision can be reversed. Users can try different settings on the same data, compare all results in one table, and publish the best result for each property as a single calibration file. Projects can be reopened and updated as crops, suppliers, and processes change. Through KPMLink® cloud-based management software, a finished calibration can be loaded onto every connected SpectraStar XT analyzer in the organization.

Editions for individual users and laboratory teams

UCAL 5 Lite provides guided calibration development: the lessons, UCAL Insight, UCAL Autopilot, and four calibration methods, with up to 500 samples per calibration from the user's own files and no limit from KPM library files. It is currently included with new SpectraStar XT analyzers, available at an introductory price to other SpectraStar XT owners, and upgrades to Pro with a license key.

UCAL 5 Pro gives one analyst the full toolset: 18 calibration methods, including Modified PLS and three neural networks; advanced tools for sample selection and instrument standardization; and no limit on samples, so laboratories can build from years of historical data.

UCAL 5 Enterprise brings Pro to large teams. It installs on a company server, is used through a web browser, and is licensed per user, so data stays on the organization's network. Each project can be private or shared.

UCAL 5 opens UCAL 4 files directly, and calibrations already on SpectraStar XT analyzers give the same results, so UCAL 4 users move their work without losing anything; they can upgrade to UCAL 5 Pro at a discount. Pro and Enterprise licenses include yearly maintenance for new versions. All editions are available in 11 languages.

Availability

A 30-day free trial of UCAL 5 Pro, Lite licenses, and calibrations are available today for current SpectraStar XT Series Analyzer users at https://store.kpmanalytics.com/join. Pro and Enterprise licenses are available now from KPM Analytics and its authorized distributors. See UCAL 5 in action at https://www.kpmanalytics.com/lp/ucal-5 or contact [email protected].

The expansion of the Risk Analytics Market is influenced by various factors, including the growing frequency and complexity of global risks, the increasing demand for efficient decision-making tools in companies, and technological advancements like artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). Organizations across sectors such as finance, healthcare, and manufacturing are using risk analytics to anticipate potential disruptions and ensure regulatory compliance. The growing reliance on big data, combined with the rise in IoT devices, has expanded the volume of data available for analysis, enabling more precise risk evaluations. Moreover, rising cyber threats, coupled with demand for robust cybersecurity strategies, are driving the need for risk management solutions. Additionally, the evolving landscape of climate-related risks and natural disasters is prompting organizations to integrate climate risk models into their assessments. Together, these factors underscore the need for comprehensive, timely risk management strategies, making risk analytics an essential resource in today's business landscape.

By software type, the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) software segment is expected to account for the largest market share during the forecast period (2026â2031).

Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) software dominates the Risk Analytics Market because it helps organizations meet stringent regulatory demands and follow internal policies. GRC software is designed to ensure that organizations operate within legal and ethical boundaries while minimizing compliance risks. As regulations grow more complex and sector-specific across regions, businesses increasingly adopt GRC solutions to automate compliance monitoring, maintain audit readiness, and ensure transparency. These systems provide real-time tracking and reporting, enabling organizations to quickly detect non-compliance or policy breaches and implement corrective measures. Moreover, GRC platforms can consolidate and standardize compliance processes across departments, improving efficiency and reducing the risk of human error. As firms face rising costs from regulatory fines and reputational damage, the importance of robust GRC systems continues to grow, reinforcing their dominance in the risk analytics sector.

By risk type, strategic risk is projected to grow at the second-fastest rate in the Risk Analytics Market during the forecast period.

Strategic risk analytics is expected to gain importance as organizations address uncertainties related to market dynamics, competitive positioning, business diversification, and long-term sustainability. Increasing market volatility and interconnected business environments are driving the need to assess risks from market concentration, new product development, and expansion into unfamiliar markets. Digital transformation, evolving business models, and platform-based strategies also introduce interconnected risks that require systematic assessment and monitoring. Strategic initiatives such as mergers, partnerships, and business expansion can also expose organizations to financial, operational, and competitive uncertainties. Risk analytics supports these activities by enabling scenario analysis, predictive modeling, and data-driven evaluation of potential outcomes. These capabilities help organizations assess the implications of strategic decisions, identify emerging threats, and align risk management practices with business objectives.

By region, North America is estimated to account for the largest share of the Risk Analytics Market in 2026.

Regional demand is supported by the adoption of risk analytics across banking, insurance, healthcare, and other industries. Organizations in the region use these solutions for credit risk assessment, fraud detection, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity risk monitoring, and operational risk management. Regulatory frameworks, including Basel III and the Dodd-Frank Act, contribute to demand for risk measurement, reporting, and compliance solutions in the financial sector. The integration of artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data analytics, and cloud computing is expanding the application of risk analytics in risk identification, predictive modeling, and decision-making. The presence of established technology providers, financial institutions, and specialized analytics vendors also contributes to the development and adoption of risk analytics solutions across the region.

Risk Analytics Market - Investment & funding + Merger & Acquisition

Investment And Funding Context

Investment activity in the Risk Analytics Market is increasingly focused on credit risk modeling, predictive analytics, regulatory compliance, fraud detection, and AI-enabled risk intelligence. In August 2026, ICRA Limited launched ICRA Risk & Analytics, bringing together ICRA Analytics, Fintellix, and D2K Technologies after completing acquisitions totaling USD 30.65 million. The platform was designed to address risk management, regulatory compliance, and data management requirements for financial institutions, regulators, and corporates.

Technology development and strategic collaborations also remained important in 2026. In April 2026, Moody's announced the integration of its credit intelligence and analytical capabilities into Microsoft 365 Copilot workflows, expanding access to credit ratings, research, entity data, and related risk intelligence. In August 2026, Moody's also announced that its intelligence was available through Google Cloud's Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services. These developments show investment in integrating risk analytics with enterprise AI platforms rather than relying solely on standalone analytical systems.

Revenue Shift Context

Revenue generation in the Risk Analytics Market spans software subscriptions, analytical data, risk models, regulatory reporting solutions, and advisory services. Financial institutions and enterprises use these capabilities for credit assessment, market risk measurement, portfolio monitoring, fraud detection, and compliance management. In July 2026, FICO reported third-quarter fiscal 2026 revenue of USD 674.2 million, including USD 215.3 million from its Software segment, which covers analytics and digital decisioning technology. The company's reported results demonstrate the commercial importance of software-based analytics and decisioning, although its total revenue also includes scoring solutions and should not be treated as Risk Analytics Market revenue alone.

Insurance-focused analytics also represents an important revenue source for providers serving property, casualty, and catastrophe risk applications. Verisk reported USD 806 million in revenue for the second quarter of 2026, up 4.3% year over year. However, this figure reflects company-wide revenue rather than revenue attributable exclusively to risk analytics. Accordingly, company financial results should be distinguished from revenue generated specifically within the Risk Analytics Market when evaluating competitive positions.

Mergers & Acquisitions

Direct mergers and acquisitions among pure-play risk analytics vendors remain selective, while strategic acquisitions and partnerships help companies expand their capabilities in risk modeling, financial data analytics, regulatory compliance, fraud detection, and enterprise risk management. Transactions and integrations in this market can strengthen proprietary data assets, analytical models, risk intelligence, and software capabilities. Companies also use acquisitions to expand their coverage of credit risk, insurance risk, operational risk, and regulatory reporting, enabling them to serve a broader range of financial institutions and enterprises.

Recent examples illustrate this trend. In July 2026, Moody's expanded its partnership with Intapp by integrating credit risk assessments, entity screening, and ownership data into Intapp's Celeste AI platform, supporting risk evaluation and due diligence workflows.

Formation Bio Drug Development Accelerator Fund pairs dedicated capital with the company's AI-native development platform to scale its portfolio of clinical-stage medicines

NEW YORK, Oct. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Formation Bio, an AI-native pharmaceutical company, today announced the Formation Bio Drug Development Accelerator Fund (the "Fund"), with $600 million in capital commitments. The Fund is designed to expand the company's portfolio of clinical-stage medicines. Combining dedicated capital with Formation Bio's AI-native development platform and clinical operating infrastructure, the Fund will support the company's ambition to acquire 10â15 drug programs over the next 3â5 years and advance them through key clinical milestones.

The Fund's limited partners include leading research foundations, institutional endowments, hospitals, and philanthropic organizations.

The Fund helps scale Formation's hub-and-spoke model, exclusively financing the acquisition and development of drug programs within Formation Bio's portfolio. Formation Bio serves as the Fund's general partner through a wholly owned subsidiary and has committed its own capital alongside the Fund's limited partners.

Each funded program is housed in a standalone corporate entity supported by Formation Bio's established development organization, keeping the economics of each asset financially distinct, while allowing more capital to be directed toward clinical development rather than toward separate, redundant operating infrastructure within multiple companies. The Fund's limited partners benefit from all of Formation Bio's scientific, clinical and operational expertise and capabilities, both in evaluating programs and executing their development plans.

"This Fund gives our LPs access to an important and emerging investment categoryâindividual drug assetsâthrough a capital-efficient structure," said Benjamine Liu, Co-Founder and CEO of Formation Bio. "For Formation Bio, it expands the number of promising drugs we can pursue, gives us strategic and financing flexibility, creates paths to liquidity without selling the parent company, and positions us to lower our cost of capital over time. Together, these advantages address structural challenges in our industry, allow us to develop more drugs for patients, and support our ambition to build this generation's enduring pharma company."

Formation Bio acquires or in-licenses Phase 1 and Phase 2 programs from pharmaceutical companies and biotechs, prioritizing assets with a clear path to clinical proof of concept. The company focuses on diseases with substantial unmet need but limited active development across the industry, targeting major clinical milestones within 2â4 years of acquisition, depending on the program.

Capital will be deployed according to each program's development needs, allowing Formation Bio to concentrate resources on the most promising opportunities. As the portfolio grows, Formation Bio expects to continuously improve its technology and development capabilities, creating efficiencies that benefit future programs. Following meaningful clinical progress, the company expects to partner programs with pharmaceutical companies for commercialization or co-commercialization.

"As a biotech investor and founder, I've seen firsthand how promising medicines can get stranded in company pipelines," said David Steinberg, Chief Business Officer at Formation Bio. "The Formation Bio Fund offers a new way to unlock their potential, leveraging the scale and sophistication of an AI-native drug developer."

The Fund represents an important step toward the company's broader ambition: developing more medicines, more efficiently and with a greater likelihood of success, so that more innovative therapies can reach patients.

"Few applications of AI have the potential to deliver as profound an impact on society as accelerating the development of new medicines," said Michael Ehlers, Chief Scientific Officer and Head of R&D at Formation Bio. "This is a meaningful next step for real-world application of AI that expands our ability to bring innovative therapies to patients."

About Formation Bio

Formation Bio is an AI-native pharmaceutical company building a more efficient model for drug development. The company combines deep pharmaceutical and clinical expertise with proprietary technology and AI systems designed to accelerate the development of medicines. Formation Bio acquires and in-licenses clinical-stage drug programs, then applies its technology, operational capabilities and development expertise to advance them toward clinical proof of concept and beyond. FOOTHILL RANCH, Calif., Oct. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- FaceFirst alerts your team when an enrolled known offender walks in, now with faster performance, a streamlined interface, and more features to empower your team.

Gatekeeper Systems, a global leader in intelligent loss prevention and safety solutions, today announced the launch of the new FaceFirst, a next-generation facial recognition platform designed to preempt retail violence and loss. FaceFirst identifies known offenders the moment they enter a location, giving security teams the immediate intelligence they need for human review, decision-making, and response.

The new FaceFirst delivers even faster performance, a streamlined UI, and a modern architecture with enhanced security, privacy, and compliance features.

Detailed solution information and implementation strategies are available at gatekeepersystems.com/facefirst-next-generation.

The FaceFirst update introduces a modern framework and streamlines the user interface while increasing system speed and performance. FaceFirst now integrates the separate portal, dashboards, and insights panels into a single, cohesive environment. This new interface lets loss prevention and security professionals complete common tasks with fewer clicks and delivers extensive new analytics, data governance, and audit features.

Advanced security, intelligence, and compliance features

- Accomplice Linking: Helps recognize and track associations among known offenders to uncover organized retail crime networks and fraud rings.

- Criminal Behavior Analysis: Provides visibility to known offender patterns in monitored stores across multiple cities and states to help retailers build prosecutable cases and prevent repeat offenses.

- Data Governance and Compliance: Expanded tools to help ensure responsible technology use and comply with privacy laws and regulations.

- Enhanced Mapping: Provides visibility into top repeat offender locations and pre-enrollment visit history to improve resource allocation.

FaceFirst integrates ROC's facial recognition algorithm, which is ranked #1 among American developers and #3 globally based on the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Face Recognition Technology Evaluation (FRTE) testing. The FaceFirst update also prioritizes responsible AI use through expanded data governance features. As facial recognition technology becomes a standard component of the retail safety stack, these additional compliance tools provide the necessary framework for transparency and ethical oversight. These updates reflect a direct response to the increasing complexity of retail environments, where rapid threat recognition is essential for loss-prevention and workplace-violence-prevention strategies.

"The next-generation FaceFirst represents the evolution of facial recognition for life safety and loss prevention," said Eric Schoch, CEO of Gatekeeper Systems. "When a known repeat offender enters a store, FaceFirst's real-time alerts give associates the opportunity to engage early with attentive, service-oriented interaction. That presence alone often resolves the situation â no escalation, no loss."

"We've taken an industry-leading solution and made it more accessible and efficient for loss prevention teams," said Matt Howard, Vice President & Head of Product at Gatekeeper Systems. MITTI LABS & SALESFORCE PARTNER TO SCALE WATER-SAVING RICE FARMING PRACTICES THAT REDUCE METHANE EMISSIONS
Image File
Original HTML

Salesforce will purchase 500,000 high-integrity, data-backed methane reduction credits from Mitti Labs by 2030, bringing water resilience to India's smallholder farmers.

SAN FRANCISCO and BENGALURU, India, Oct. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Deep-tech company Mitti Labs today announced a five-year carbon credit offtake agreement with Salesforce to scale Climate-smart rice farming across tens of thousands of smallholder farms in India. Coming just weeks after Mitti Labs' offtake agreement with Google, this new partnership shows the growing corporate demand for satellite-verified rice methane credits as a scalable offset solution with near-term impact.

Climate-smart rice farming replaces traditional continuous irrigation with alternate irrigation, where farmers let their fields dry out during safe windows in the growing cycle. This low-cost practice shift helps the world grow more rice with less water, while abating methane emissions derived from microbe growth in oxygen-free soils. Alternate irrigation can cut methane emissions by up to 50% and water usage by up to 40%, without affecting yields.

Agriculture is responsible for 40% of all human-induced methane emissions, which are a powerful driver of climate change. Methane traps 85 times more heat than COâ but only stays in the atmosphere for a decade, meaning that every ton that is not emitted today delivers a fast, tangible reduction in near-term warming.

Commitments from companies like Salesforce are helping Mitti Labs scale these practices. Mitti Labs plans to scale its operations to meet this demand: by 2028, it plans to issue 2 million credits per year from its projects located in India and Southeast Asia.

"Salesforce is a founding member of the Beyond Alliance's Superpollutant Action Initiative. We know that superpollutant reduction is one of the best ways to slow near-term warming, and we are committed to directing capital toward high-impact mitigation efforts. Reducing methane emissions from rice farming is a scalable climate solution that also helps preserve water resources for future generations," said Jamila Yamani, PhD., Director of Climate & Energy at Salesforce.

Every credit delivered under the agreement will be backed by field-level evidence and satellite-verified field dry-downs. Mitti Labs' GeoAI platform, developed with support from NASA, fuses high-resolution satellite radar with field-collected ground truth to track flooding, soil moisture and crop health across individual smallholder plots. This provides credit buyers with transparent, independently verifiable proof of impact at a scale that manual monitoring is not able to match.

Beyond reducing methane emissions, the partnership is projected to save 700 billion liters of water, or roughly eighteen months of Bengaluru's annual supply, easing pressure on groundwater retrievals in regions where rice farming competes with urban and industrial water usages.

"Carbon credit buyers are increasingly asking not just what impact a project delivers, but how they can see it for themselves. Having Salesforce join Google in backing rice methane reductions shows that high-integrity, data-verified agricultural credits are becoming a core part of serious climate offsetting strategies. This agreement lets us reach tens of thousands more farmers with practices that cut emissions, save water and strengthen livelihoods," said Xavier Laguarta, co-founder at Mitti Labs.

With Salesforce's support, Mitti Labs will deepen its engagement with rice farming communities and expand the 'digital twins' GeoAI datasets that support the roll-out of its programs. As demand for the world's staple crop continues to grow and rainfall patterns become less predictable, the next five years in the partnership offer a chance to strengthen food security and realize the full potential of rice farming as a climate solution.

About Mitti Labs

Mitti Labs combines satellite technology, AI and field operations to create a water and climate resilient future for rice farming. To date, its programs have saved 500 billion liters of water â the equivalent of Bengaluru's annual supply. In July 2026, Mitti Labs received an 'A' rating from leading ratings agency Sylvera in recognition of its rigorous implementation and measurement protocols.

Mitti Labs customers include global technology, service, food and agriculture businesses such as Google, Cool Effect, Ebro Foods, and Syngenta. Since launching in 2023, Mitti Labs has grown to 150 employees and secured $12.5 million from investors such as Lightspeed India, Aramco Ventures, Voyager Ventures, Godrej Industries Group, Cisco Foundation, Francis Family Fund, and Volta Circle.
