Teams playing as underdogs (or pick ’em) in an MLB postseason series game after their bullpen was used for 5+ innings in the same series prior game are just 47-74 SU (-15.68 units, ROI: -13%) since 2016.

System Match (FADE): TAMPA BAY (+130 vs MIL)

In the last six playoff seasons following a full regular season (excluding 2020), MLB teams that won 100 games or more are on a slide of 29-35 SU (-18.53 units, ROI: -29%) and 23-41 on run lines (-19.00 units, ROI: -29.7%) in playoff games.

Nine Top MLB World Series Betting Systems

Over the last 20+ years of World Series action, several nice betting systems have emerged. You know you’re going to bet the games; why not arm yourself with key data that has won recently.

WORLD SERIES system #1:

Home field advantage hasn’t meant a lot in recent World Series action, with hosts on a 24-35 slide in the last 59 opportunities dating back to 2016 (-21.61 Units, -36.6% ROI).

System Match (FADE): TAMPA BAY (+130 vs MIL)

System Match (FADE): TAMPA BAY (+130 vs MIL)

WORLD SERIES system #5:

World Series teams have struggled putting back-to-back wins together recently, going 13-27 in the game following up a WS win (-20.07 Units, -50.2% ROI)

System Match (FADE): TAMPA BAY (+130 vs MIL)

MLB Bullpen Systems

The following systems and qualifying plays are from the weekly update series on handicapping MLB teams using Steve Makinen’s bullpen strength ratings.

STARTER/BULLPEN CORRELATION SYSTEMS

Teams with strong bullpens (SM rating of 10 or higher) and an elite starting pitcher with a SM rating of +20 or more went 352-210 for +30.55 units, when not matched against the same in the 2025 season. This represents an ROI of +5.4%. For 2026, these teams got off to a slow start but roared back in the season’s final month, ending the campaign with a record of 318-216 for +8.23 units and an ROI of +1.5% (10-9, -3.62 units in the playoffs).

System Match (SLIGHT PLAY): MILWAUKEE (-157 at TB)

MLB Team Strength Systems

The following handicapping information details betting systems for teams based on various team strength indicators or line scenarios.

MLB Team Strength Betting System #5:

In MLB games occurring in August or later between two teams who have >= 0.580 win pct, smaller favorites in the -111 to -175 line range have gone 60-31 SU for +17.69 units (ROI: 19.4%) in the last five seasons.

System Match (PLAY): MILWAUKEE (-157 at TB)

Today’s MLB Strength Ratings

The following MLB betting trends are taken from today’s MAKINEN DAILY RATINGS page under the MLB tab on VSiN.com.

Theoretically, green star “edges” come up when a team has an odds edge of 15 cents over the actual price. That is a legacy thing. However, this year I have recorded that a 10-cent edge is actually better, as teams with an edge of 10 cents against the actual odds have gone 692-691 for +12.62 units, good for +0.9% ROI.

Ratings Match (PLAY): MILWAUKEE -157 (+20 diff)

Team/Pitcher Situational MLB Betting Trend Spots

The following situational MLB betting trends and qualifying plays look at how today’s teams and starting pitchers have performed in similar spots.

(959) MILWAUKEE (113-61) at (960) TAMPA BAY (106-69)

Trend: MIL has won Jacob Misiorowski’s last twelve starts (+12.00 units)

Trend: MIL is the most profitable MLB team in night games this season (76-37 record, +28.24 units)

Trends Match (PLAY): MILWAUKEE (-157 at TB)

Top Head-to-Head Series MLB Betting Trends

Trend: Home teams are 13-5 (72.2%, +6.36 units) in the last 18 of the Rays-Brewers interleague series

– The ROI on this trend is 35.3%

Trend Match (PLAY): TAMPA BAY (+130 vs MIL)

Strategies Using MLB DraftKings Betting Splits Data

Here are the systems and qualifying plays for today’s games as of 11:30 a.m. ET. These can and will change, so continue to track and qualify the systems up until first pitch for best usage.

DK MLB Betting Splits system #6: Majority handle bettors have been at their worst overall in interleague games since the start of 2023, going 1,074-957 (52.9%) but for -215.64 units and an ROI of -10.6%. This is over two full percentage points worse for return on a huge sample of games and an indication that bettors have trouble gauging the strengths/motivations of the teams when playing unfamiliar opponents.

System Match (FADE): MILWAUKEE (-157 at TB)

DK MLB Betting Splits system #9: Majority handle bettors have endured three consecutive poor playoff seasons in 2023-2025, with a combined record of 64-64 (50%) for -19.84 units and an ROI of -15.5% (21-17, -1.67 units in 2026).

System Match (FADE): MILWAUKEE (-157 at TB)

DTE Energy's new Fish Creek Solar Park adds enough clean, Michigan-made energy to power 30,000 homes
Image File

The development will add tens of millions of dollars to the local tax base, supporting schools and emergency responders as well as road improvements and senior citizen services

DETROIT, Oct. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- DTE Energy announced today that its 132-megawatt Fish Creek Solar Park near Sheridan, Mich., is now operational. The project adds a new, clean source of Michigan-made energy as DTE works to deliver reliable power while keeping bills as affordable as possible. The $268 million development was fully funded by customers who voluntarily participate in DTE's MIGreenPower program, thereby adding a new source of power generation without raising costs for customers. The solar park can generate enough energy to power approximately 30,000 homes, while delivering significant economic benefits to Montcalm County and Bushnell and Evergreen townships.

"Our customers expect us to keep the lights on and keep bills as affordable as possible, and bringing new generation like Fish Creek online is part of how we deliver on that commitment," said Matt Paul, president and chief operating officer, DTE Electric. "Fish Creek adds more Michigan-made energy to our system while supporting local jobs, generating new tax revenue and delivering lasting benefits for the communities that helped make this project possible."

Fish Creek will generate tens of millions of dollars in additional tax revenue, supporting schools, first responders, roads, veteran and senior citizen services, and more. The solar park also created hundreds of local jobs during construction and will provide participating landowners with a reliable source of supplemental income.

In addition, Bushnell and Evergreen townships each received $330,000 through Michigan's Renewables Ready Communities Award, a grant available to local governments that host large-scale renewable energy projects. The townships plan to invest the funding in town hall and fire station renovations, along with other community improvements.

Fish Creek is part of DTE's broader plan to meet Michigan's growing energy needs with a diverse mix of resources. DTE currently has 20 wind parks and 37 solar parks across Michigan, which together generate enough clean energy to power nearly 1 million homes. The company is committed to continued growth of this clean energy portfolio on its journey to net zero carbon emissions. In fact, DTE's 2026 Integrated Resource Plan includes an additional 15 gigawatts of renewable energy by 2042.

Movantis Integrates with the Stellar Network to Expand Its Cross-Border Payments Infrastructure

Movantis Integrates with the Stellar Network to Expand Its Cross-Border Payments Infrastructure

Announced at Meridian 2026 in Lisbon, the integration adds the Stellar network to Movantis's multi-rail infrastructure, starting with USDC settlement for cross-border flows from the United States to El Salvador.

LISBON, Portugal, Oct. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- At Meridian 2026, the Stellar Development Foundation's flagship annual conference, Movantis, the unified financial infrastructure platform that enables businesses to move value across global markets, announced an integration with the Stellar network.

The collaboration adds the Stellar network as an additional digital settlement rail within Movantis's architecture. The Stellar network accelerates the digital settlement leg, while Movantis leverages its connections to regulated local infrastructure and partners for liquidity, fiat conversion where needed, and last-mile payout.

For Movantis, the integration is part of a broader multi-rail strategy. Traditional banking infrastructure, local payment systems and digital settlement rails each play a role, giving the platform greater flexibility and resilience across markets. The Stellar network provides an additional blockchain rail for digital settlement, while Movantis connects that settlement layer with regulated markets and local payout infrastructure.

The first planned use case will focus on movement of value from the United States to El Salvador. Through its regulated subsidiaries, Movantis plans to use USDC on the Stellar network as the settlement leg, with local partners supporting conversion and last-mile payout. As a dollarized economy, El Salvador is a natural starting point: value settles in USDC and is paid out to recipients in US dollars, with no additional currency exposure along the way.

For businesses and end users, the blockchain layer stays behind the scenes. They continue to use familiar currencies and payment experiences, while the settlement leg runs 24/7, including weekends and holidays. That can reduce the capital remittance companies and businesses need to keep prefunded in the corridor.

The integration is also designed to work in the other direction. Businesses operating on the Stellar network will be able to reach recipients in Latin America through Movantis, settling in stablecoins and paying out locally. Remittance companies, fintechs and wallets will be able to access the corridor through the same Movantis integration they already use for other markets.

"Cross-border payments do not need one winning rail. They need infrastructure that can use the right rail for each leg of the transaction," said Robert Gatto, Chief Revenue Officer of Movantis. "Stellar gives us another efficient way to settle, and our job is making sure that speed turns into dollars a business or a family can actually use in El Salvador."

"Movantis has spent two decades building local partnerships and payout networks designed to make cross-border payments work across the Americas, and that is exactly the kind of foundation the Stellar network was built to support," said Jose Fernandez da Ponte, President and Chief Growth Officer at the Stellar Development Foundation. "Integrating the Stellar network as a settlement option, starting with the U.S.-to-El Salvador corridor, is designed to support faster and more efficient settlement for the businesses and people who rely on these flows every day."

Digital rails are new. Moving money across borders is not. For more than 20 years, Movantis has done the hard part in some of the most complex markets in the Americas: procuring licenses and building the local partnerships, liquidity and last-mile payout that make cross-border payments work. Today, its network moves more than $60 billion a year across more than 200 million transactions and over 90,000 payout locations. The Stellar network now plugs into that foundation.

Beyond El Salvador, Movantis expects the architecture to support additional B2B and consumer flows, including for businesses in Europe, Asia and across Latin America that want to operate in the region through a single integration. The goal is not to replace existing rails, but to add another settlement option to Movantis's multi-rail infrastructure through Institutional Stablecoin Settlement, which gives companies one integration to collect, convert, settle and pay out across Latin America, in fiat or stablecoin.

Wealthbox Launches Vault, Advanced File Storage for Advisory Firms, and Expands AI to Client Documents for All Users
Image File
Original HTML

Vault brings unlimited storage, full-content search, version history, and a Compliance Monitor role to the advisor's system of record. Wealthbox AI now reads every document in the system, so advisors can ask questions of their client files, not just their contact records.

PROVIDENCE, R.I., Oct. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Wealthbox, the #1-rated CRM for financial advisors, today launched Wealthbox Vault, an add-on product that gives advisory firms unlimited file storage, full-content search, retained file versions, and a Compliance Monitor role with a complete audit log of file activity.

In addition to Vault, Wealthbox AI can now read documents stored in Wealthbox, on every Wealthbox plan. An advisor can upload a client's trust agreement and ask who the contingent beneficiaries are, or upload a signed form and have Wealthbox AI propose updates to client fields for the advisor to review.

"Most firms keep the client record in one system and the client file in another, so their AI only ever sees half the picture," said John Rourke, CEO of Wealthbox. "When both live in Wealthbox, Wealthbox AI can work from the actual documents. Vault is for firms that want every file, and every version of it, in the same place as the client record."

What Vault adds

Recordkeeping controls. Vault gives firms controls to support their own compliance requirements.

- Files stored in Vault can't be deleted by any user, including firm administrators. Archiving removes a file from active view while preserving the record.

- When a new version of a file is uploaded, every previous version is retained.

- Firms can export all of their Vault files, or a filtered set, at any time as a .zip that preserves folder structure and includes a CSV manifest.

Compliance Monitor role. Designated users get read access to every file and folder in their assigned workspaces, regardless of individual file permissions, and can view and export the complete audit log of Vault activity.

Full-content search. Advisors can find a file without knowing its name. Vault indexes the text inside PDFs, Word documents, spreadsheets, presentations, scans, and images, so a search for a word or phrase surfaces every matching file in Wealthbox, including scanned forms and photos of business cards.

Household aggregation. Files tied to each household member roll up automatically to the household record, so advisors can review a family's files without opening each contact.

Organization and previews. Custom fields and filtering keep files organized, and in-app previews let advisors review PDFs, documents, spreadsheets, and images without downloading them.

Included with every Wealthbox plan

Every Wealthbox user can store files alongside the client records, tasks, and workflows they relate to, and can now organize them in folders. Firms moving from another storage provider can upload a .zip of client folders and map each folder to a Wealthbox contact using self-service import.

Wealthbox AI reads PDFs, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files, text files, scans, and images. AI Agents can compare document contents against client records, flag discrepancies, and take follow-up actions in Wealthbox. Wealthbox AI and AI Agents follow the same permissions as the rest of Wealthbox, so they only use files a user is already allowed to see.

Availability

Wealthbox Vault is available now as an add-on for Wealthbox users. Learn more at wealthbox.com/products/vault/.

CPSC Acting Chairman Feldman Highlights Criminal Enforcement Efforts to Combat Trade Fraud and Dangerous Consumer Products

At INTERPOL Conference in Bangkok, Feldman highlights criminal prosecutions, counterfeit safety certification marks, and international law enforcement cooperation

WASHINGTON, Oct. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) Acting Chairman Peter A. Feldman today delivered keynote remarks at the 19th International Law Enforcement Intellectual Property Crime Conference in Bangkok, Thailand, outlining CPSC's efforts to combat dangerous imports, strengthen criminal enforcement, and address trade fraud and counterfeiting.

Global e-commerce presents growing enforcement challenges, particularly when foreign sellers evade U.S. safety requirements and operate beyond the reach of traditional regulatory enforcement.

"Counterfeiting is not simply a matter of intellectual property theft," Feldman said. "It is also a matter of public safety. And increasingly, it is part of a much larger problem involving trade fraud, falsified compliance documents, deceptive business practices, and the deliberate evasion of laws designed to protect consumers."

Under President Trump's leadership, CPSC has intensified enforcement against dangerous products, including through criminal prosecutions of companies and executives that knowingly violate federal product safety requirements. In June 2025, two executives of Gree USA received federal prison sentences of 38 and 40 months for concealing fire hazards involving defective dehumidifiers linked to more than 450 reported fires, over $19 million in property damage, and four potentially associated deaths. In April 2026, Royal Sovereign International was sentenced to pay an $8 million criminal fine for knowingly and willfully failing to report hazards involving defective portable air conditioners imported from China, which were associated with more than 40 fires and one death.

CPSC is also working with the Department of Justice and Department of Homeland Security to combat international trade fraud. The joint Trade Fraud Task Force highlighted the Royal Sovereign prosecution among its enforcement results, while DOJ has separately identified forged product safety certificates as a form of trade fraud.

In May 2026, CPSC announced an initiative to examine counterfeit safety labels and certification marks, associated risks, and potential enforcement responses.

"The counterfeit mark does not make the product safe," Feldman said. "It makes the product appear safe. And that is a particularly dangerous form of deception."

Additional enforcement measures include CPSC's July 2026 electronic filing requirements for product compliance certificates, which improve the agency's ability to identify potentially hazardous imports. The Commission has also renewed its use of Section 12 of the Consumer Product Safety Act to seek federal court intervention against products presenting an imminent hazard.

"Our objective is not to restrict legitimate international commerce," Feldman said. "We want a marketplace in which responsible businesses can compete fairly, consumers can benefit from innovation and affordable products, and companies that comply with the law are not disadvantaged by competitors who evade it."

Organized by INTERPOL and UL Standards & Engagement, the conference brings together international law enforcement and industry representatives to combat intellectual property crime and illicit trade.

BLADE AND BOW UNVEILS RARE CASK STRENGTH BOTTLING OF ITS 30-YEAR-OLD KENTUCKY STRAIGHT BOURBON WHISKEY

The new Cask Strength expression marks the second release in the brand's 30-Year-Old collection, debuting this November alongside the return of the original Blade and Bow 30-Year-Old Limited Release

LOUISVILLE, Ky., Oct. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Blade and Bow proudly introduces Blade and Bow 30-Year-Old Cask Strength Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, the second expression in its distinguished 30-Year-Old collection. Following the 2025 debut of Blade and Bow 30-Year-Old Limited Release Bourbon, this exceptionally rare offering presents the same extraordinary whiskey at its natural barrel strength of 164.2 proof (82.1% ABV), without dilution. Its defining distinction lies not simply in a higher proof, but in the opportunity to experience the whiskey in its original form, providing a canvas for connoisseur experimentation. The introduction of Cask Strength comes alongside the highly anticipated return of Blade and Bow 30-Year-Old Limited Release, offering collectors and whiskey enthusiasts a rare opportunity to experience the same remarkable blend through two distinct expressions.

Experience the full interactive Multichannel News Release here: https://www.multivu.com/blade-and-bow/9429251-en-blade-and-bow-unveils-rare-old-kentucky-straight-bourbon-whiskey

First laid to rest in the spring of 1993, the bourbon spent much of its maturation journey within the historic rickhouses of Stitzel-Weller Distillery, where decades of seasonal temperature fluctuations and careful stewardship shaped its exceptional character. As the natural effects of evaporation gradually diminished the liquid, partially filled barrels were carefully consolidated to preserve the remaining whiskey. From an original collection of 96 barrels, Nicole Austin, Diageo's Director of American Whiskey Liquid Development, selected just 42 to create a singular blend that would ultimately yield two distinct expressions.

"What I find so compelling about the 30-Year-Old collection is that these aren't two different whiskeys. They're the exact same blend, presented in two distinct ways," said Nicole Austin. "The Limited Release reflects the balance I was looking to achieve when we first developed the liquid, while Cask Strength allows enthusiasts to experience it in its undiluted form and explore that balance for themselves. Together, they offer a fuller understanding of what makes this bourbon so remarkable, and how much the drinking experience can change without changing the whiskey itself."

Bottled in 2023, the original Blade and Bow 30-Year-Old Limited Release Bourbon was deliberately proofed to 109 proof to achieve Austin's desired balance and nuance, while Cask Strength was preserved at the strength at which it emerged from the barrel. Created with discerning whiskey connoisseurs in mind, the expression offers a rare opportunity to discover the liquid in its original form, inviting enthusiasts to engage with the whiskey on an entirely personal level. Whether enjoyed neat or explored through the gradual addition of room temperature water, Cask Strength allows each individual to discover their preferred balance of flavor and intensity, celebrating both the craftsmanship behind its creation and the individuality of the tasting experience.

Blade and Bow 30-Year-Old Cask Strength opens with a powerful rush of citrus oils, dark berries, and warm baking spice, all concentrated by its higher proof. Beneath the intensity sit layers of fig, molasses, and old oak, giving the aroma a deep, luxurious weight. The palate is rich and viscous, unfolding notes of roasted nuts, ginger, dark sugar, and blackcurrant with a cool menthol lift. As water is introduced drop by drop, the whiskey reveals shifting waves of fruit, florals, sweetness, and spice, offering a continually evolving expression of its extraordinary depth and complexity.

Presented in a custom-made leather box, Blade and Bow 30-Year-Old Cask Strength is limited to just 1,200 bottles, which will be made available intermittently, carrying a suggested retail price of $2,500 per 750ml bottle. Initially, the bottles will be available in highly limited quantities across select markets beginning November 2026, with some of the 1,200 bottles reserved for later release. Stitzel-Weller Distillery in Shively, Kentucky, will serve as the first retail destination, offering a limited initial volume of 25 bottles by reservation only. Reservations will become available on November 16, for bottle pickup later in the month. Additional bottles of Blade and Bow 30-Year-Old Cask Strength will also be made available through periodic limited drops at Stitzel-Weller Distillery throughout the holiday season.

The returning Blade and Bow 30-Year-Old Limited Release Bourbon will first be available at Stitzel-Weller Distillery, with just 30 bottles for sale on October 30, 2026. This will be followed by limited availability in select markets and periodic limited drops at Stitzel-Weller Distillery. Visitors will also have the opportunity to experience both 30-Year-Old expressions through dedicated tasting experiences that include custom keepsake glassware at the distillery's Garden & Gun Club and through 1-oz. pour serves on the menu.

Building on Blade and Bow's legacy of exceptionally aged Kentucky bourbon, the 30-Year-Old collection pays tribute to the Five Keys of Bourbon: Grain, Yeast, Fermentation, Distillation, and Aging. Together, these two expressions celebrate the remarkable possibilities of time, careful blending, and the artistry of whiskey making, inviting collectors and enthusiasts to discover the same extraordinary liquid through two distinct experiences.

"Die Party ist vorbei": neuer Doku-Podcast in ARD Sounds

Berlin (ots)

November 2026 in ARD Sounds verfügbar.
