HOPE CHARITIES ENDORSES H.R. 10549 TO PUT PATIENTS BACK IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT FOR SPECIALTY CARE

Patients Choice in Specialty Pharmacy Act would end plan steering toward insurer- and PBM-owned specialty pharmacies while letting patients keep the pharmacy they have

PRAIRIEVILLE, La., Oct. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Hope Charities today announced its support for H.R. 10549, the Patients Choice in Specialty Pharmacy Act. The bill would give patients with complex and rare conditions the freedom to use any qualified specialty pharmacy that accepts their health plan's standard terms and rates. Introduced on September 24, 2026, by Rep. Neal Dunn (R-FL) with Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) as an original cosponsor, the bill has been referred to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce. Hope Charities urges Congress to take immediate action on H.R. 10549 to protect vulnerable patients and ensure they are never delayed from using the specialty pharmacies they trust.

Many insurers and pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) now own or control the specialty pharmacies they direct patients to. This structure creates a built-in financial incentive for the plan to choose its own pharmacy, even when an alternative pharmacy would be a better fit for the patient's condition.

"When a specialty medication or its administration is misunderstood, delayed by delivery errors, or stuck in prior authorization, patients often have nowhere else to turn," said Jonathan James, President and CEO of Hope Charities. "People living with complex chronic conditions already carry higher costs and spend countless hours on treatment and specialist visits. When medication doesn't arrive on time, patients suffer needlessly, preventable hospitalizations arise, and overall healthcare costs increase for everyone."

James said restoring competition would put patients back in the driver's seat. "Patients should be able to choose a pharmacy that knows their condition, delivers to their door, and provides the education, supplies, and in-home nursing support they need. This bill doesn't tell anyone which pharmacy to use; it makes sure the patient gets to choose."

Key Benefits of H.R. 10549

The bill amends the Public Health Service Act and applies to health insurance issuers offering group or individual coverage, as well as group health plans that are not self-insured. Under the bill:

- Choice without penalty. Plans may not require, steer, or induce patients to use a plan- or PBM-affiliated specialty pharmacy. That includes higher copays, coinsurance, or deductibles at other pharmacies, discounts or rebates tied to using an affiliated pharmacy, and penalties, delays, or paperwork imposed on patients or their prescribers.

- Open network on equal terms. Plans may not exclude a licensed specialty pharmacy in good standing that agrees to the plan's uniform network terms and accepts the same reimbursement rates as other network specialty pharmacies.

- Quality and integrity protected. Plans may require accreditation from the Joint Commission, URAC, or the Accreditation Commission for Health Care. They may also exclude pharmacies with fraud or abuse convictions or related board discipline, pharmacies excluded from Medicare or state health programs, and pharmacies shown to pose an imminent risk of patient harm.

What it does not do

H.R. 10549 does not require any patient to change pharmacies. Patients who are satisfied with their current pharmacy, including a plan-owned one, can stay. The bill does not ban or break up any pharmacy, does not set prices, and does not apply to self-insured employer plans. It takes effect for plan years beginning on or after January 1, 2029, giving plans time to adjust.

Building on a proven Medicare standard

The approach is not new. Medicare Part D plans have long been required to contract with any pharmacy that meets their standard terms and conditions, and Congress strengthened that standard in the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2026. H.R. 10549 brings the same principle to commercial coverage.

"If a plan-owned pharmacy offers the best care, patients will choose it," James said. "This bill lets every qualified pharmacy compete on service and quality, on equal terms. That's something everyone can stand behind, no matter their political party. Patient rights should be a bipartisan issue, and we hope Congress will make the right decision to put people above corporate control, profit, or politics."

Hope Charities urges Members of Congress to cosponsor H.R. 10549. Congressional offices interested in cosponsoring may contact Palmer Van Tuyl in Rep. Dunn's office at [email protected]. Patients and advocates who want to share their experiences or contact their representatives can reach Hope Charities at [email protected].

Gameday Men's Health Sets the Safety Standard as New Federal Policy Expands Peptide Access

Peptides, prescribed the right way: licensed clinicians, licensed pharmacies, no research chemicals

CARLSBAD, Calif., Oct. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Gameday Men's Health, the leader in men's health and wellness with more than 430 clinics across the US and Canada offering testosterone therapy, sexual performance treatment, peptide and vitamin therapy, medical weight loss, hair restoration and performance recovery, is setting the safety standard for peptide therapy as a new federal policy expands access. Under the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's new interim policy, state-licensed compounding pharmacies can now prepare certain peptides with a prescription. Gameday is bringing that access to patients the right way: medical evaluation first, licensed clinicians, licensed pharmacies and ongoing care.

Many men have been buying peptides online as "research chemicals," often made overseas, with no prescription and no medical oversight. The new policy moves access into licensed medical care.

"Men have been buying peptides from websites that sell them as research chemicals, with no idea what's actually in the vial," said Dr. Haleem Mohammed, Chief Medical Officer of Gameday Men's Health. "This policy gives them a safer option. Our job is to make sure every prescription starts with a real medical evaluation and comes from a licensed pharmacy."

The Gameday standard

- Medical evaluation first. A consultation, health history review and lab work if necessary before any prescription.

- Licensed clinicians decide. Independent licensed clinicians make every prescribing decision.

- Licensed US pharmacies only. State-licensed US compounding pharmacies using pharmaceutical-grade ingredients.

- Ongoing support. Follow-up visits, lab monitoring and a clinician to call about side effects.

The risks of unsafe sources

Peptides bought outside of licensed medical care can come with serious risks:

- "Research use only" or "not for human consumption" vials with unknown purity and dose

- Contamination and counterfeit products

- No screening for who should not take them

- No one watching for side effects, and no recourse when something goes wrong

Patients often ask about peptides for recovery, healing and healthy aging. Research on many of these peptides is still early, which is exactly why clinician oversight matters.

"Men are already looking for ways to take better care of themselves, and many are turning to peptides. Our job is to make sure there's a safe, responsible way to do that," said Evan Miller, CEO of Gameday Men's Health. "The Gameday standard doesn't change: evaluation first, licensed clinicians, licensed pharmacies, ongoing care. With more than 430 locations, we can bring that standard to men across the country."

Gameday appreciates the work by HHS and FDA to move peptide access into licensed, regulated care.

Availability

Peptide therapy is available at 430 Gameday locations across the United States, subject to state law and pharmacy availability. A medical consultation is required, and not every patient will be a candidate. To find a location, visit https://gamedaymenshealth.com/.

Compounded medications are not FDA approved. FDA does not review compounded drugs for safety, effectiveness or quality. Treatment requires a medical evaluation and is prescribed only when appropriate by an independent licensed clinician.

Bechtel Invests $1 Million in Wyoming Skilled Trades Training, Launches 'Build for More' Campaign to Inspire the Next Generation of Craft Professionals
Image File
Original HTML

Investment funds tools, instructors, and new training pathways at two Wyoming colleges, including pipefitting program new to Wyoming higher education. The statewide Build for More campaign will encourage students to see the skilled trades as a first-choice career.

CHEYENNE, Wyo., Oct. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Bechtel today announced a $1 million investment in Laramie County Community College (LCCC) and Western Wyoming College (Western) to expand skilled trades training and create new pathways into electrical and pipefitting careers in Wyoming. Bechtel also launched Build for More, a statewide campaign encouraging Wyoming students, and the families and educators who guide them, to consider the skilled trades as a first-choice career.

The two efforts are designed to work together. The college investment expands real pathways into well-paying, in-demand careers, closer to the communities students call home. Build for More helps more young people discover those careers in the first place. New research commissioned by Bechtel found that Wyoming adults hold the trades in high regard, but many of the state's high school students have yet to consider them.

Bechtel's investment will support curriculum, instructors, equipment, and training facilities at both colleges. It includes a pipefitting pathway new to higher education in Wyoming and expanded electrical training that will allow more participants to complete their training in-state.

Bechtel announced the investment and campaign at a panel discussion at LCCC in Cheyenne with Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon, LCCC President Dr. Joe Schaffer, and Bechtel Senior Vice President Walker Kimball. The audience included students, educators, and business and community leaders. In addition to the colleges, the event was hosted in partnership with the Wyoming Innovation Partnership and the Wyoming Business Alliance.

Strong support for the trades, but a gap with the next generation

The research shows Wyoming adults value skilled trades careers. Eighty-nine percent view the trades favorably, 60% see them as a first-choice career, and 83% say the trades are respected in their communities. Compared with a college degree, more Wyoming adults also see the skilled trades as the better path for job stability, early-career earnings, and entering the workforce with less debt.

Students and teachers don't yet see the trades the same way. Nearly half of Wyoming high school students (47%) say they have never really thought about a career in the skilled trades. Only 20% plan to enter a trade program, vocational program, or apprenticeship after high school. Teachers are students' top source of career information, but only 28% of teachers see the trades as a first-choice career. Just 16% of teachers and 10% of students describe the trades as well paid.

"Skilled craft professionals build the infrastructure and energy projects that power communities, and the need for them keeps growing," said Walker Kimball, Senior Vice President, Head of Construction, Bechtel. "These are well-paying, stable careers that let people build a good life, often without leaving home. But it isn't enough to tell young people these careers are great. We have to give them more chances to see the work up close, then build real pathways to those jobs right here in the communities they call home. That's what this effort is about."

The partnership was developed with support from the Office of Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon and in collaboration with the Wyoming Innovation Partnership through the Wyoming Business Alliance. It builds on the state's ongoing work to bring industry and government together, expanding opportunities for Wyoming residents to train for and build careers in high-demand fields.

"Wyoming's workforce is one of our greatest strengths, and we want our people to have opportunities to build rewarding careers right here at home," said Governor Mark Gordon, State of Wyoming. "This investment brings together industry, education, and government to expand training for in-demand skills and create more pathways for Wyoming residents to build their futures in our state."

Expanding skilled trades training in Wyoming

At LCCC, Bechtel's investment will support electrical and pipefitting training, including curriculum, instructors, equipment, and dedicated training spaces designed to provide hands-on experience. The programs will prepare participants for employment and apprenticeship opportunities and connect graduates with local contractors and industry partners.

"Meeting the workforce needs of Wyoming requires strong partnerships between education and industry," said Dr. Joe Schaffer, President, Laramie County Community College. "Through Bechtel's investment, LCCC can expand access to high-quality, industry-driven training that equips students with the skills employers need today and into the future. These new opportunities allow students to earn nationally recognized credentials without leaving Wyoming, while helping build the skilled workforce that will support our communities, region, and economy for years to come."

At Western, Bechtel's support will expand electrical and pipefitting training through investments in faculty, equipment, and training capacity. The program also includes a mobile pipefitting training unit that will bring hands-on training and career awareness to rural communities across Wyoming. The unit puts both pathways and exposure into practice.

"This partnership allows us to expand high-quality, hands-on training and reach more students and workers throughout Western Wyoming," said Dr. Kirk Young, president of Western Wyoming College. "By bringing training closer to the communities we serve, we can help more Wyoming residents gain valuable skills and build careers right here in the state."

Build for More: Skilled trades as a first-choice career

Build for More is designed to reach students who may never have considered the trades, including those planning to pursue two- or four-year degrees, not only those already headed toward construction or technical careers. Because students say they rely most on parents and teachers for career guidance, the campaign will also engage the families and educators who shape students' choices.

Through digital storytelling, community engagement, and real-world exposure to construction careers, Build for More will show what the skilled trades offer: a strong start in your 20s with less debt, skills in long-term demand, room to advance, and the chance to build tangible things that matter.

Together, the training investment and the statewide campaign address both sides of Wyoming's workforce opportunity. They expand access to skilled trades training close to home and help more young people see these careers as worth pursuing.

MGM China Reports 2026 Third-Quarter Results

Revenue and Adjusted EBITDA Set New Third-Quarter Records

Market Share Reaches Historic High of 17.1%

HONG KONG, Oct. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- MGM China Holdings Limited ("MGM China" or the "Company"; SEHK Stock Code: 2282) today announced the selected unaudited financial data of the Company and its subsidiaries (the "Group") for the three months (the "Period") and nine months ended September 30, 2026.

During the period, Macau witnessed sustained growth in tourist arrivals, welcoming an average of 122,139 visitors daily, an 8% increase year-on-year. Daily gross gaming revenue ("GGR") reached MOP655 million, down 4% from last year, due to the temporary impact of the World Cup tournaments on the broader market.

- MGM China continued to outperform the industry. Daily visitation across the Company's properties rose by 10% year-on-year, while daily GGR surged 5% compared to the same period last year. Notably, Mass GGR (including slot operations) also achieved a 5% year-on-year increase, reflecting the Company's strong positioning in high-value segments.

- Revenue for the Period grew by 5% year-on-year to approximately HK$8.9 billion. The Group reported adjusted EBITDA of approximately HK$2.4 billion. Both revenue and adjusted EBITDA represent all-time highs for any third-quarter period.

- The Group's market share escalated to a new record of 17.1%, with MGM COTAI securing a 10.5% share and MGM MACAU holding 6.6%.

- Occupancy climbed to 94.1% during the Period, up from 93.5% in the prior-year period.

- On a property basis, MGM COTAI generated revenue of approximately HK$5.4 billion for the Period (2025: HK$5.1 billion), and adjusted EBITDA of approximately HK$1.52 billion (2025: HK$1.46 billion). MGM MACAU recorded revenue of approximately HK$3.5 billion for the Period (2025: HK$3.4 billion), and adjusted EBITDA of approximately HK$865 million (2025: HK$914 million).

- The Group maintained a healthy financial position. As of September 30, 2026, the Group had a total liquidity of approximately HK$25.6 billion, comprised of Bank balances and cash and undrawn revolver.

This positive momentum carried into the fourth quarter, with property visitation during the October Golden Week holiday surged by 10% year-on-year.

Kenneth Feng, Chief Executive Officer of MGM China said: "The higher-end market segment continues to drive growth. The positive response to our refurbished products and premium spaces underscores our team's deep understanding of the Macau market and our ability to anticipate our customers' evolving tastes."

Following the suite conversion at MGM COTAI earlier this year, the Group has commenced the renovation project of approximately 100 suites at MGM MACAU.

"This initiative will further optimize our assets to enhance competitiveness and solidify the complementary positioning of our portfolio - establishing MGM MACAU as the premier venue on the Peninsula and MGM COTAI as the preferred destination for premium travelers. We are fully committed to supporting Macau's development into a world-class, diversified tourist destination," said Kenneth Feng.

Banco Macro S.A. Announces Share Buyback Program

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina, Oct. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Banco Macro S.A. (NYSE: "BMA"; ByMA: "BMA") ("Banco Macro" or the "Bank") announces today that the Board of Directors of the Bank has decided to establish the terms and conditions for the repurchase of shares issued by the Bank, in accordance with Article 64 of Law No 26,831 and Rules of the CNV (Comisión Nacional de Valores).

This decision has been adopted based on the current domestic and international macroeconomic context and the fluctuations in the capital market in general, which has materially impacted the price of domestic shares, including the quotation of the shares of the Bank. In addition, the Board of Directors has taken into consideration the financial strength of the Bank and its liquidity.

Therefore, the Board of Directors has decided to establish the following terms and conditions for the acquisition of shares issued by the Bank:

- Purpose of the acquisition: To protect the value of the shareholders´ investment, given that the recent decline in the market price of the shares, does not adequately reflect the fair value of the Bank´s assets or their economic potential. Additionally, the aim is to reduce volatility in the Bank´s share price.

- Maximum amount of the investment: Up to Ps$. 160,000,000,000.

- Maximum number of shares to be acquired: Up to 20,000,000, Class B common book-entry shares of par value AR$ 1 (one Argentine Peso) per share and entitled to 1 (one) vote each, which amount is within the Bank's 10% capital stock limit.

- Maximum payable price: Up to Ps$. 10,700.00 per share.

- Term for the acquisition: 45 calendar days, from the date following the publication date of the relevant information in the Bulletin of the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange, subject to any further renewal or extension, which shall be duly informed to the public in such Bulletin.

Finally, it is informed that in order to comply with the current regulations that establish that the amount of acquisitions made in one day may not exceed 25% of the average daily transaction volume of the shares during the 90 business days prior to the repurchase, the Bank will consider, as it has done in previous situations, the consolidated volume of all the markets in which it operates, both local and international.

This press release may include statements concerning potential future events involving Banco Macro that could differ materially from the events that actually occur. The differences could be caused by a number of risks, uncertainties and factors relating to Banco Macro's business. Banco Macro will not update any forward-looking statements made in this press release to reflect future events or developments.
