HSG Laser Contributes to ISO 11553‑2:2026, the world's first international safety standard for handheld laser processing machinery, developed under China's leadership.

FOSHAN, China, Sept. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- ISO 11553‑2:2026 Safety of machinery—Laser processing machines—Part 2: Safety requirements for hand-held or hand-operated laser processing machines was officially published on August 28, 2026. As a core member of the Chinese expert group, HSG Laser was deeply involved in the initiation, technical discussions, and drafting of this standard.

This is the world's first ISO/IEC international safety standard for complete laser processing systems, developed under China's leadership. The seven-year development process included global technical reviews, cross-border voting, and multi-stakeholder consultations. The standard shifts the focus of safety management from "personnel management and end-user protection" to the inherent safety design of the product itself, establishing a unified global safety benchmark for the rapidly growing market of handheld laser welding and cleaning equipment.

HSG Laser has contributed decades of R&D experience, as well as practical application data and on-site safety practice data, to this international standard. In addition to this ISO standard-setting effort, HSG Laser has participated in the development of numerous national and international standards for laser processing systems and remains committed to translating its engineering expertise into global industry standards. Furthermore, HSG Laser contributes to the development of the industry in various ways. HSG Laser holds 445 patents, has installed more than 50,000 units worldwide, and serves nearly 30,000 customers in over 100 countries through its 20 global branches.

Participating in the development of ISO standards demonstrates HSG Laser's commitment to advancing the global laser industry. HSG Laser will promote the local adoption and implementation of the ISO 11553-2:2026 standard and continue to contribute China's technical insights to global standard-setting efforts.

SpineFrontier Issues Reminder That DOJ Dismissed All Criminal Charges

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Sept. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- KIC Ventures today issued a corporate clarification reminding stakeholders that all criminal charges against SpineFrontier were dismissed and that no KIC Ventures portfolio company currently faces criminal charges arising from the matter.

The corporate record is clear:

- All criminal charges against SpineFrontier were dismissed.

- No KIC Ventures portfolio company pleaded guilty to criminal charges arising from the case.

- No portfolio company is currently a defendant in ongoing DOJ litigation arising from this matter.

- Former Chief Financial Officer, Aditya Humad's individual resolution is separate from the disposition of the corporate charges.

- Mr. Humad has no continuing employment, ownership, management or other affiliation with KIC, KIC Ventures or their affiliated companies.

The matter traces back more than a decade. In 2015, three former SpineFrontier employees raised allegations concerning the company's relationships with surgeon consultants dating back to approximately 2013. Those allegations ultimately contributed to a lengthy federal investigation and criminal charges against SpineFrontier and certain former executives.

On January 17, 2025, the United States moved to dismiss all criminal charges against SpineFrontier Inc. No KIC Ventures portfolio company pleaded guilty to any criminal charge arising from the case, and no portfolio company is currently a defendant in ongoing DOJ litigation arising from this matter. This context is important because customers, physicians and investors may continue to encounter older reports describing the original allegations and charges without the subsequent disposition of the case.

Mr. Humad separately accepted a plea agreement resolving his individual criminal case. He has since fully separated from KIC, KIC Ventures and their affiliated companies. He has no current employment agreement, management position or ownership interest in these companies and has no authority to represent or act on their behalf.

"We added outside compliance counsel and formal legal review of physician interactions, agreements and related compliance processes. Compliance oversight is now built directly into how we operate and grow."

Florida brand exhibits at Booth 773, manufacturing every SKU in-house on a 300kg automated line

MIAMI, Sept. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Happy Soul, a Florida-based functional gummy supplement brand, will showcase its full product line at the Americas Food & Beverage Show & Conference September 14-16 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. The company will be at Booth 773 for all three days of the show, which marks its 30th anniversary this year.

Happy Soul's collection is built on a base of 83 fruits and vegetables carried across every SKU, with no artificial dyes or flavors. The gummies are opaque rather than translucent because their color comes from the plant material itself rather than from added dye. The lineup includes Fruits & Veggies, Nootropic Mushroom, Hair Skin & Nails, Apple Cider Vinegar, Protein, Beet and Shilajit gummies.*

What sets the brand apart on a show floor full of importers is where the product comes from. Happy Soul launched in 2026 as the in-house brand of a gummy manufacturer that has been producing for other companies since 2019. The company is vertically integrated, producing its entire line in a cGMP-compliant facility the company owns in Lexington, North Carolina, on a 300kg automated gummy line producing up to 2.5 million gummies per week. All products are manufactured under 21 CFR Part 111 and third-party tested for potency and heavy metals.

"Most brands in this category rent their manufacturing and hope for the best," said Eli Elias, founder of Happy Soul. "We run the line. That means we control the formulation, the schedule, and the quality, and when a buyer asks how something is made, I can actually answer. Florida is home for this brand, and this is the market we built it for."

Owning production also lets Happy Soul respond directly to a distributor's volume, packaging, or timeline requirements without renegotiating through a third party, a meaningful difference for buyers who have watched lead times and landed costs move unpredictably.

Private label and contract manufacturing

Alongside the Happy Soul line, the company is open to private label and international manufacturing inquiries for gummy candy and dietary supplement products, with hundreds of formulations available to private label. For brands looking to produce in the United States, whether to shorten supply chains or to meet US regulatory requirements, the Lexington facility takes on outside production. Those conversations are welcome at Booth 773.

Book a meeting with Happy Soul

Retailers, distributors, and brands interested in carrying Happy Soul or discussing private label or contract manufacturing opportunities can schedule a meeting, email eli@mysoulishappy.com, or visit mysoulishappy.com to request an appointment with the team.
