Bausch Health and YUN Announce Expansion to Mexico and Across Additional EMEA Markets

Collaboration expands access to science-led, microbiome-friendly skincare solutions in Mexico and across new markets in EMEA, including launches in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, Bulgaria and Kazakhstan.

LAVAL, QC, Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Bausch Health Companies Inc. (NYSE: BHC)(TSX: BHC), a global, diversified pharmaceutical company, and YUN, a Belgian innovator in pioneering probiotherapeutical skincare products, announced the continued expansion of their strategic collaboration in Mexico and across additional EMEA markets following the 2025 launch in Poland.

The expansion includes both portfolio and geographic growth in recent months. In Poland, Bausch Health expanded its dermatology portfolio to include YUN's eczema-prone skincare solutions, building on last year's launch of YUN's probiotic-based skincare solutions for acne-prone skin. Geographic expansion has included launches of YUN's acne- and eczema-prone skincare solutions in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, along with the introduction of YUN's skincare solutions in Mexico. The rollout is expected to continue in Kazakhstan in October 2026. This next phase of the collaboration reflects both companies' shared ambition to expand access to science-led, microbiome-friendly skincare solutions across EMEA and select international growth markets.

"Following our collaboration in Poland, YUN has entered and is continuing to enter additional markets as part of our broader EMEA growth strategy," said Cees Heiman, Senior Vice President, Europe & Canada, Bausch Health. "These launches reflect our commitment to bringing differentiated, science-based healthcare and skincare solutions to patients and consumers across the region. EMEA remains a strategically important geography for Bausch Health, and we see strong potential for YUN's microbiome-focused approach in markets such as Ukraine, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Kazakhstan."

"Bringing YUN to Mexico expands our dermatology portfolio with skincare solutions grounded in microbiome science," said Fernando Zarate, Vice President, Latin America, Bausch Health. "This launch reflects our focus on identifying differentiated products that address evolving skincare needs and broaden access to innovative dermatology offerings in the Mexican market."

"We are proud to deepen our collaboration with Bausch Health and to see YUN entering additional international markets," said Tom Verlinden, CEO and Founder of YUN. "Our mission is to harness microbiome science through YUN Probiotherapy™, creating effective, natural and scientifically grounded solutions that respect the body's own balance. Expanding into Ukraine, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Kazakhstan, and Mexico allows us to bring that mission to more people together with a partner that combines scale, credibility and strong regional execution."

YUN has developed YUN Probiotherapy™, a proprietary microbiome technology platform enabling the stable use of live probiotics in skincare formulations designed to support the skin's natural ecosystem. Through this expanded partnership, Bausch Health and YUN are strengthening the brand's presence across selected EMEA markets and Mexico while increasing access to innovative probiotherapeutical skincare solutions.

Abbott receives FDA approval for its TactiFlex™ Duo Ablation Catheter to treat people with abnormal heart rhythms
Image File
Original HTML

- Abbott's TactiFlex™ Duo Ablation Catheter, Sensor Enabled™ combines pulsed field ablation (PFA) and radiofrequency (RF) energy in a single catheter to treat complex atrial fibrillation (AFib) cases

- Strong clinical evidence demonstrates the device's high rates of safety and effectiveness in treating AFib patients

- FDA approval of TactiFlex Duo strengthens Abbott's expanding PFA portfolio following recent cardiac ablation approvals in the U.S., Europe, Asia and Latin America

ABBOTT PARK, Ill., Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Abbott, the global healthcare leader, announced today it has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for the TactiFlex™ Duo Ablation Catheter, Sensor Enabled™ to treat patients with challenging cases of atrial fibrillation (AFib). The U.S. approval of this dual-energy catheter, the latest generation of Abbott's cardiac ablation technology, marks a significant milestone in Abbott's commitment to advancing therapies that help physicians treat complex heart rhythms with greater precision and flexibility. Abbott will soon begin cases with broader commercial adoption across the country in the coming weeks.

Why cardiac ablation matters for people with AFib

For the 10.5 million people in the U.S. who live with a heart that beats too fast, too slow or in an irregular way, treatment is critical as AFib increases the risk of serious complications, including stroke.1,2 While many people are treated with medications, others require cardiac ablation, a minimally invasive procedure that targets the tissue responsible for abnormal electrical signals in the heart.

TactiFlex Duo is Abbott's latest ablation catheter designed to give physicians more flexibility when treating AFib. The technology allows physicians to use pulsed field ablation (PFA), radiofrequency (RF) energy, or a combination of both during a procedure, helping them tailor treatment to each patient's needs. Abbott's EnSite™ X EP System also provides physicians with real-time feedback as an integrated mapping solution with the PFA Index (PI), a tool designed to assess lesion formation during ablation with TactiFlex Duo. The dual-energy approach means physicians can create precise therapeutic lesions, or small areas of scar tissue, that block the abnormal electrical signals causing an irregular heartbeat while helping minimize the impact on surrounding healthy tissue. Successfully treating these areas can help restore the heart's normal rhythm and improve outcomes for patients living with AFib.

"Electrophysiology is rapidly evolving as physicians adopt new technologies that improve the safety and effectiveness of AFib treatment," said Atul Verma, M.D., Director of Cardiology at the McGill University Health Centre in Montreal, Canada, and a globally recognized expert in pulsed field ablation technology. "TactiFlex Duo provides physicians with greater flexibility during procedures, and when it is combined with the high-resolution 3D visualization available through Abbott's EnSite X mapping system, physicians have a suite of practice-changing tools to confidently treat patients with complex AFib."

Safety and effectiveness data support TactiFlex Duo FDA approval

The FDA approval of TactiFlex Duo was secured based on the results from Abbott's FlexPulse IDE study. Late-breaking data from the study recently presented at the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Congress 2026, which was simultaneously published in EP Europace, showed favorable safety and effectiveness outcomes in patients with paroxysmal AFib (irregular heart rhythm episodes that come and go).

"TactiFlex Duo represents an important advancement as Abbott builds the industry's most comprehensive electrophysiology portfolio," said Uri Yaron, senior vice president of Abbott's electrophysiology business. "From diagnosis, mapping and intracardiac ultrasound imaging to advanced treatments for the most complex arrhythmias, Abbott is uniquely positioned to support physicians at every stage of patient care. By continuing to expand our PFA portfolio and integrate innovative technologies across cardiovascular care, we're helping physicians navigate increasingly complex procedures while ensuring more patients receive the right care at the right time."

Regulatory momentum across Abbott's PFA portfolio

The U.S. FDA approval of TactiFlex Duo further expands Abbott's portfolio of technologies designed to help physicians treat patients with cardiac arrhythmias. It is the company's fifth major electrophysiology approval in just over a year, following Europe's Amulet 360™ and TactiFlex Duo CE Mark approvals this year, and U.S. and European approvals of the Volt™ PFA System in 2025.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is TactiFlex Duo?

TactiFlex Duo is an advanced cardiac ablation catheter designed to treat irregular heart rhythms. Its dual-energy feature combines pulsed field ablation (PFA) and radiofrequency (RF) energy in a single device, allowing physicians to tailor treatment to each patient's unique needs during AFib ablation procedures.

How do physicians know the precise locations in the heart to treat patients with TactiFlex Duo?

TactiFlex Duo is integrated with Abbott's EnSite X EP System, a sophisticated mapping system that creates highly detailed three-dimensional maps of the heart to help doctors find and treat the source of an irregular heartbeat. Working together with Abbott's Advisor™ HD Grid X mapping catheter, ViewFlex™X ICE (intracardiac echocardiography) catheter and EnSite Echo Module, the integrated portfolio is designed to give physicians real-time images of the ablation catheter's positioning and movement, and a digital model of the patient's heart throughout a procedure. The EnSite X EP System also provides physicians with real-time information – called PFA index – which shows how the small areas of scar tissue created by TactiFlex Duo's pulsed field energy develop during an ablation procedure.3

Who may need an ablation using TactiFlex Duo?

Patients with atrial fibrillation, particularly those with complex anatomy, prior or failed ablations or other challenging clinical situations, may benefit from treatment with TactiFlex Duo as determined by their physician.

What are the patient benefits of being treated with TactiFlex Duo?

The catheter offers physicians greater procedural flexibility and precision through dual-energy capabilities, helping treat irregular heart rhythms while reducing the potential for damage to surrounding tissue. Clinical data has shown the technology to be safe and effective.

Ceremony Highlights One of America's Leading Utility Growth Businesses

SAN DIEGO, Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Sempra (NYSE: SRE) celebrated its next chapter of growth as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey W. Martin and members of the board of directors rang the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). The ceremony reflected Sempra's continued momentum as it advances its mission to build America's leading utility growth business.

"We are pleased to celebrate our longstanding relationship with the NYSE as we renew our commitment to help lead our industry in meeting rising energy demand across some of America's largest and fastest-growing markets," said Jeffrey W. Martin, chairman and CEO of Sempra. "This is an exciting time for our company. By simplifying our business model and strengthening our financial position, we are better positioned to invest in critical energy infrastructure that serves nearly 40 million consumers. By continuing to enhance safety, reliability and resilience, we are working hard every day to create meaningful long-term value for our stakeholders."

To help meet growing energy demand, Sempra has refined its corporate strategy to strengthen its position in major economic markets and shift capital to meet the growing needs of its U.S. utilities.

"Across the next decade, we expect economic growth will be fueled by domestic manufacturing, investments in critical infrastructure and advances in AI technologies that reshape how America competes on the global stage. At Sempra, we understand that modernizing and expanding the energy grid is central to that effort," said Martin.

Sempra's utility growth strategy is supported by a record $65 billion capital plan,1 with approximately 95% of planned investments directed toward regulated utilities, alongside a capital recycling program designed to efficiently fund growth and strengthen the company's financial position. These actions reflect Sempra's disciplined execution of its 2026 value creation initiatives and support its objective of generating approximately 95% of earnings from regulated U.S. utilities in 2027, as well as having more than 60% of its rate base located in Texas through the end of the decade.2 The strategy is designed to support continued investment in modernizing and expanding energy infrastructure while helping power America's growing economy.

CDF Corporation Launches the Squiz® System in North America, Bringing Automated Liner Evacuation to Manufacturers of Thick, High-Value Liquids

New automated system recovers high-value product left behind in IBC liners, reducing product waste by up to 96 percent in manufacturer trials

PLYMOUTH, Mass., Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- CDF Corporation, a manufacturer of flexible liners for industrial containers, today announced the North American launch of the Squiz® System, an automated liner evacuation system for intermediate bulk containers (IBCs). The system addresses a recurring and largely unmeasured source of product loss in liquid manufacturing: residual product retained inside the liner when an IBC is emptied.

For manufacturers of thick, slow-moving products that cling to the liner rather than dispensing completely, conventional pumping leaves product behind in every container. Across multiple container cycles per year, this residual product represents a measurable and recurring financial loss. With the Squiz System, an average of 0.1 to 0.2 percent of product remains after dispense. In manufacturer trials on thick cosmetic creams, product waste per liner fell by up to 96 percent.

At the core of the Squiz System is a controlled winding action: the machine winds the liner from the top down during dispense, in sync with the plant's pump, moving product toward the dispense valve. A reinforced form-fit liner withstands the mechanical load of winding.

"We are very pleased to be offering this unique solution that maximizes the emptying of viscous products. It not only saves the company money but it plays a big role in the overall goal of reducing waste that we all, as environmental custodians, are striving for," said Joe Sullivan, President and CEO of CDF Corporation.

How it works

Winds the IBC liner from the top down during dispense, in sync with a pump and a standard plant compressed-air connection on a dedicated line.

No operator intervention during dispense; automatic pressure cutoffs and an emergency stop are engineered in.

Mobile design: mounted on a stainless-steel frame with locking casters, the unit moves between production lines with no fixed installation and no electrical connection.

Developed in Europe, exclusive to CDF in North America

The Squiz System was developed by Liquidpack S.L. of Onda, Spain, where the system has been deployed across European manufacturing operations. CDF brings the system to the North American market together with its engineered form-fit liner, backed by CDF's Plymouth, Massachusetts manufacturing and support operations.

Live demonstrations at PACK EXPO International

CDF will run live Squiz System demonstrations at PACK EXPO International, October 18 to 21 at McCormick Place, Chicago, booth LU-6806 in the Reusable Packaging Pavilion. The Squiz System will be set up in the booth to demonstrate how the mechanism moves contents toward the dispense valve. Attendees can also estimate the cost of residual product loss in their own operations using CDF's Cost of Dispensing Calculator.

Manufacturers seeking to quantify residual product loss in their operations can request a technical review and on-site evaluation here.

Hyundai Motor Company Becomes Official Automotive Partner of the UEFA Champions League

- Hyundai Motor Company becomes Official Automotive Partner of the UEFA Champions League in a multi-year partnership, beginning with the 2026/27 season

- The competition sets the benchmark for European club football by bringing together the best in the game, a standard Hyundai measures itself against in its own field

- Designed in Europe for European customers, IONIQ 3 is the first of five major models Hyundai will launch in Europe during the 2026/27 season and the first to represent the brand in the partnership

OFFENBACH, Germany, Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Hyundai Motor Company today announced a multi-year agreement as the Official Automotive Partner of the UEFA Champions League. The partnership marks the company's commitment to European club football at its highest level. It begins with the 2026/27 season, running to the end of the 2030/31 season.

Football is familiar ground. For almost 30 years Hyundai has supported the game at its highest levels, from the largest international tournaments to clubs and associations around the world. The UEFA Champions League extends that commitment to the pinnacle of European club football.

The parallels between the UEFA Champions League and Hyundai run deeper than scale: squads in this competition draw talent from every corner of the globe and compete at the highest level in Europe. Hyundai leverages the strengths of its global scale while designing, engineering and building vehicles in Europe, selling across the continent. Two organisations, unambiguously European in operation and international in influence.

"Football has been part of Hyundai for almost 30 years. It brings people together like almost nothing else, across languages and borders and generations," said José Muñoz, President and Chief Executive Officer, Hyundai Motor Company. "The UEFA Champions League is the best club football in the world, played every week in front of the most passionate fans in Europe. Following Hyundai's engagement at the World Cup this summer, the UEFA Champions League is an ideal platform to show our beautifully designed vehicles with features fans love. I am from Madrid, so I have watched this competition my whole life. I'm personally excited about engaging with fans across Europe. It's a great time to celebrate the beautiful game with Hyundai."

Under its brand vision of 'Progress for Humanity', Hyundai is committed to expanding opportunities and contributing towards a more inclusive future for society. Through this partnership with UC3, UEFA's joint venture with European Football Clubs, engagement with the UEFA Champions League and Hyundai's mobility offerings, the company aims to bring people together across cultures and communities throughout Europe, uniting millions of football fans while delivering a positive impact for society.

"The UEFA Champions League and Hyundai are both driven by progress, performance, and the ambition to bring people together," said Xavier Martinet, President and Chief Executive Officer of Hyundai Motor Europe. "We are entering this partnership with our strongest line-up yet. IONIQ 3 is the first of five new models we are launching in Europe this season, designed and developed for our customers here in the region, and it is the car that leads our lineup for the future."

The UEFA Champions League is the world's most-watched annual club football competition with around one in three people being interested in the Champions League worldwide. The 36-club tournament provides a perfect platform to engage with a huge audience of passionate football fans and highlight Hyundai's future direction, from robotics and physical AI, to software and smart mobility solutions tailored for European customers.

Hyundai is a global brand with a strong footprint in Europe, built over more than 30 years. Its European Technical Centre in Rüsselsheim, Germany, develops and engineers its vehicles, while its European Design Centre at the same site shapes their visual look and identity. Production takes place at plants in the Czech Republic and Türkiye, with Hyundai vehicles reaching customers across 42 European markets through more than 2,000 sales and aftersales outlets. Hyundai's design, engineering, manufacturing and partner network supports customers and fans every day.

The IONIQ 3: Hyundai's entry on the pitch

The all-electric IONIQ 3, designed in Europe for European customers, is Hyundai's opening statement in the partnership. The compact hatchback made its debut at Milan Design Week earlier this year and became the first battery-electric vehicle to enter production at Hyundai's İzmit plant when manufacturing commenced in August. It is the first of five major new models Hyundai brings to Europe in the 2026/27 season.

With the IONIQ 3, Hyundai enters the compact class, Europe's most contested segment, with class-leading capability to deliver on European customers' needs. IONIQ 3's Aero Hatch typology has been created to deliver class-leading efficiency and range, with a drag coefficient of 0.263 Cd and up to 497 km of range (WLTP). With 441 liters of trunk volume, best-in-class interior space, a segment-leading 14.6-inch display featuring Hyundai's latest PLEOS Connect infotainment system, and strong value, IONIQ 3 represents Hyundai's commitment to making electrified mobility accessible to its European customers.

The IONIQ 3 sits within a line-up that offers customers a genuine choice across the full powertrain spectrum, thanks to Hyundai's flexible strategy: battery-electric, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, hydrogen fuel-cell electric and internal combustion. The range is structured around how people own and use their vehicles, delivering flexibility.

IONIQ 3 builds on Hyundai's EV recognition in Europe, following significant awards that reflect the breadth of the company's commitment to electrified mobility. The Hyundai INSTER was named 2025 World Electric Vehicle, while the IONIQ 9 was named Germany's 2026 Premium Car of the Year. This customer-centric focus frames Hyundai's newly announced partnership as the UEFA Champions League's Official Automotive Partner.

Guy-Laurent Epstein, Co-Managing Director, UC3: "We are delighted to welcome Hyundai as an official partner of the UEFA Champions League. Hyundai has a proud history of supporting football at the highest level and a clear belief in its power to bring people together. We look forward to building a partnership that brings that shared ambition to life for fans around the world over the coming years."
