TREVISO, Italy, Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Prosecco DOC has brought a taste of the Italian lifestyle to Seoul's vibrant culinary scene with their new campaign, "Uncorking Prosecco DOC 2026." Led by the Prosecco DOC Consortium, the initiative introduces Korean audiences to a vision of Italy rooted in hospitality, togetherness and the pleasure of living well.

These values resonate strongly in South Korea, a sophisticated market with a growing appetite for premium lifestyle experiences and a deep appreciation for rich social gatherings, shared moments and the discovery of new flavors and cultures. In this setting, Prosecco DOC offers Korean consumers an accessible yet refined way to experience the authentic Italian lifestyle.

Through the "Uncorking Prosecco DOC" campaign, Prosecco DOC reaffirms its role as a cultural ambassador for Italy around the world. Accessible yet elegant, contemporary yet deeply rooted in tradition, Prosecco DOC brings together taste, style and identity while sharing the story of its place of origin with audiences worldwide.

The program kicked off on August 31 with an opening event at Conrad Seoul, where guests explored the versatility of Prosecco DOC through tastings paired with Korean cuisine. Six Italian wineries-Biasiotto, La Gioiosa, La Marca, Serena Wines 1881, Tenuta Santomè and Torresella-are participating in the initiative. Through September 13, their wines will be featured at more than 35 of Seoul's leading restaurants and bars as part of specially curated dining experiences designed to complement traditional Korean specialties as well as Italian cuisine, which has long been popular in the country. Together, these pairings create a dialogue between cultures and flavors centered on culinary excellence.

Participating venues include some of the most notable names on Seoul's dining scene. Among them is Won Grandma Bossam, an iconic Korean restaurant brand founded in Seoul in 1975 and recognized as one of the country's leading specialists in bossam, the celebrated pork dish served with kimchi and traditional side dishes. The brand now operates more than 200 locations across South Korea. Also participating is Bistro Anthro, led by Chef Areum Yoon, known to audiences for appearances on MasterChef Korea 1, Culinary Class Wars 2 and MasterChef Asia 2026. Yoon also participated in the Prosecco DOC Korea Chef Residency held in Milan this past July.

Other participating culinary figures include Chef Jang Hanyi, who leads the restaurant HanYi Seoul, and Chef Choi Ji Hyung of Michelin Guide-listed Leebukbang, both contestants on the popular Netflix series Culinary Class Wars. Their involvement reflects the growing dialogue between Korean fine dining and Prosecco DOC, which is increasingly valued as a versatile partner for international food pairings.

The program also features four masterclasses for hospitality professionals, sommeliers, buyers and other members of the wine trade, led by experts Sungjin Kwak, Miyeon Hong, Luke Kim and Jaejun Kim. The sessions explore Prosecco DOC's distinctive characteristics and its versatility with food, giving participants an opportunity for expert-led education and exchange. The masterclasses were held at prominent venues across Seoul, including Mishmash, located in a traditional Korean hanok, CMB Wine Experience, JL Dessert Bar and Negroni Seoul.

Interest in Prosecco DOC continues to grow across South Korea. Giancarlo Guidolin, President of the Prosecco DOC Consortium, said: "South Korea continues to stand out as a dynamic market with strong strategic potential for Prosecco DOC, as demonstrated by the 9.8% increase in sales recorded from January through April 2026. Through the 'Uncorking Prosecco DOC 2026' campaign, we aim to strengthen our premium positioning and further expand commercial and distribution opportunities. By collaborating with more than 35 restaurants, offering educational masterclasses for members of the trade and building high-profile partnerships across fashion and culture, Prosecco DOC is establishing itself not only as a sparkling wine of exceptional quality, but also as a true ambassador of the modern Italian lifestyle in South Korea."

Prosecco DOC's presence in Seoul has also extended to a series of collaborations with leading cultural and lifestyle events in the South Korean capital.

On September 1, Prosecco DOC was featured at "Italy at Frieze Seoul – The Golden Trace," an event organized by the Embassy of Italy and the Italian Cultural Institute in conjunction with the prestigious international art fair Frieze Seoul. The event brought together leading figures from the art and cultural communities as well as international stakeholders. Prosecco DOC accompanied the guest experience, helping strengthen the cultural dialogue between Italy and South Korea.

Prosecco DOC will also return as the Official Sparkling Wine Partner of the third edition of "Milan Loves Seoul," an initiative promoting exchange between Italy and South Korea through fashion, creativity and innovation during Seoul Fashion Week. Through dedicated tastings, networking opportunities and activities for buyers, media, influencers and industry professionals, Prosecco DOC will expand its presence among an influential international audience and reinforce the natural connection between its sparkling wines and the contemporary worlds of fashion and premium lifestyle.

About Prosecco DOC

The Prosecco DOC Consortium (Consorzio di Tutela della Denominazione di Origine Controllata Prosecco) was established in 2009 to coordinate and manage Prosecco DOC production. The organization unites the different groups of manufacturers—wineries, individual and associated vine-growers, wine producers and sparkling wine houses—to safeguard the quality of Prosecco and promote the wines to consumers worldwide. Every bottle of Prosecco DOC can be identified by the State label on the neck as a guarantee of authenticity. In 2020, the Prosecco DOC Rosé category was approved, leading to a new area of growth for the Consortium. The Prosecco DOC Consortium remains focused on the continued growth of the denomination and that production regulations are always complied with. The Life You Can Save's 2026 Education Sector Report Finds 9 in 10 Children in Low-Income Countries Reach Age 10 Unable to Read
Image File

Addressing the global learning crisis will require smarter and more targeted investment in evidence-based approaches that strengthen foundational learning

SEATTLE, Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Life You Can Save, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting extreme poverty, has released its 2026 Education Sector Report, identifying global education priorities and opportunities for directing philanthropic resources toward the most effective education interventions. The report takes into account global education and financing data, perspectives from 17 education specialists working across Sub-Saharan Africa and a review of evidence on effective interventions. Similar to The Life You Can Save's Health Sector Report published earlier this year, it will guide the organization's strategy from 2026 through 2028.

While primary enrollment has significantly improved over the past 20 years across much of Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia, gains in access have not always translated into gains in learning. In low-income countries, nine in 10 children reach age 10 unable to read and understand a simple text, a measure known as learning poverty. The persistence of learning poverty underscores a growing challenge in global education: ensuring children are not only in school, but actually learning.

At the same time, resources to address the crisis are declining. The annual financing gap to meet global education goals in low- and lower-middle-income countries stands at an estimated $97 billion, including $70 billion in Sub-Saharan Africa alone. Global education aid, which remained relatively steady at $12 to $13 billion annually between 2016 and 2023, is projected to fall to $9.2 billion by 2027. Private philanthropy currently contributes roughly $1 billion annually to education globally, less than 1% of the annual financing gap.

"Millions of children are spending years in school without acquiring the foundational skills they need to succeed, while the resources available to address this crisis are shrinking," said Bárbara Calixto, Interim CEO and Chief Marketing & Product Officer of The Life You Can Save. "The good news is that we know more than ever about what works. Our goal is to help donors direct resources toward evidence-based approaches that improve learning, strengthen the systems already serving children and create impact that lasts well beyond a single donation."

The funding decline is particularly consequential in low-income countries, where aid represents more than 12% of total education spending and governments spend an average of just $55 per school aged child annually on education. In some countries, recent aid cuts could reduce education budgets by as much as half.

To inform their strategy, The Life You Can Save consulted 17 education specialists between May and July 2026, including government-facing practitioners and researchers affiliated with organizations such as the Association for the Development of Education in Africa, Education Sub-Saharan Africa and the What Works Hub for Global Education. Experts identified primary education and education in emergencies as the areas most vulnerable to continued funding cuts. When asked where philanthropy can have the greatest potential for impact, experts consistently prioritized primary education, early childhood development and teacher coaching and support.

"The greatest opportunity is not simply to put more resources into education, but to make sure those resources strengthen what already works," said Miriam Broeks, PhD, Research and Evaluation Manager at The Life You Can Save. "By investing in teachers, improving classroom instruction and strengthening the capacity of education systems to deliver what works, philanthropy can help millions more children build the foundational skills they need, while laying the groundwork for effective approaches to be sustained and scaled over time."

The report identifies structured pedagogy and level-appropriate instruction as two of the most promising evidence-backed approaches to improving foundational learning. Structured pedagogy combines lesson plans with ongoing teacher coaching and has produced some of the largest and most consistent learning gains among education interventions studied. In Kenya, the government-delivered Tusome program reached more than 23,000 primary schools and increased the share of children reading at grade level by approximately 30 percentage points.

Meanwhile, level-appropriate instruction groups students according to their actual learning levels rather than their age or grade. The approach has been tested with more than 75,000 children across India and Sub-Saharan Africa, with evidence showing particularly strong results when programs are implemented faithfully. Top-performing programs using these approaches can deliver more than two learning-adjusted years of schooling for every $100 spent, making them among the most cost-effective interventions in international development.

Based on this evidence, The Life You Can Save currently recommends seven education organizations, including four added to its recommended portfolio in 2026 for their focus on foundational learning: Building Tomorrow, EIDU, Luminos and Youth Impact. The recommended organizations have estimated cost-effectiveness ranging from approximately 3.6 to 11 learning-adjusted years of schooling per $100 and work through or alongside government systems.

The report also identifies areas where further research is needed, including early childhood development, education technology and artificial intelligence, non-formal education and technical and vocational training. While these areas may offer significant opportunities to improve educational access and outcomes, The Life You Can Save will monitor the evidence on the impact and cost-effectiveness of interventions in these areas to inform future recommendations. Any expansion of their portfolio will only take place when there is a robust evidence base behind a given intervention and while prioritizing geographies with the greatest need.

"Our research points to a clear opportunity for philanthropy: prioritize the foundational skills that enable children to succeed in every stage of education that follows," said Miriam Broeks. "At the same time, effective philanthropy requires discipline. Emerging areas such as technology, early childhood development and alternative pathways for older youth may hold promise, but donors should first ask where the evidence is strongest and where their resources can make the greatest difference."

Over the next three years, The Life You Can Save will focus on strengthening its existing foundational-learning portfolio, with greater emphasis on implementation quality, teacher support and building toward government ownership and long-term sustainability.

The report reflects The Life You Can Save's broader mission of helping donors maximize the impact of their giving. Since 2013, giving channeled through The Life You Can Save has directed more than $140 million to high-impact charities. Donors can support recommended education organizations directly, contribute to The Life You Can Save's Education Fund, which is allocated among recommended education organizations, or give to the Maximize Your Impact Fund, which allows the organization to direct funding to the areas where ongoing research identifies the strongest combination of need and evidence.

In HelloNation, Automotive Expert John Pomponio Breaks Down Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle Options

The Article Compares Certified Pre-Owned and Used Vehicles to Help Buyers Weigh Cost, Warranty Coverage, and Long-Term Value.

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y., Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- What is the difference between a certified pre-owned vehicle and a standard used vehicle? A HelloNation article answers that question and outlines what shoppers should know before choosing between the two options.

The article explains that a certified pre-owned vehicle starts as a standard used model. It goes through a more detailed inspection before reaching the lot. Technicians check dozens of mechanical and cosmetic points, and vehicles that fail are typically repaired or turned away.

According to the article, this inspection is one reason certified vehicles usually cost more than comparable used models. Buyers pay for the assurance that a trained technician already reviewed parts that are hard to check alone.

The article notes that warranty coverage is another major difference between the two choices. A certified pre-owned vehicle usually includes an extended warranty beyond the original manufacturer coverage. That extended protection can cover the engine, transmission, and electrical systems for a set number of years or miles.

A standard used vehicle may still carry some manufacturer coverage, but that protection eventually runs out. Once it ends, repairs become the owner's responsibility unless a separate warranty is purchased. The article notes that price is often the deciding factor for shoppers comparing these two options.

The insights featured in the article come from John Pomponio, an Automotive Expert at Acura of Westchester in New Rochelle, New York. Automotive Experts often field these same questions from buyers weighing a certified purchase against a standard used model. The article draws on that experience to help answer the question in practical terms.

The article describes how first-time luxury buyers often lean toward the certified option for added reassurance. Stepping into a luxury brand for the first time can feel like a big commitment. Knowing a vehicle passed a thorough inspection can ease some of that uncertainty.

More experienced owners may feel comfortable skipping certification if they already know what to look for during an inspection. Vehicle history also plays a role, since certified programs typically require a clean history report.

With a standard used vehicle, it becomes especially important for the buyer to review that history report directly. Financing terms can differ too, since some lenders offer more favorable rates on vehicles that carry certification.

The article also points to resale value as a factor shoppers sometimes overlook. A certified pre-owned vehicle can sometimes hold its value slightly better than a standard used vehicle. Future buyers tend to recognize the added inspection and warranty history, though this is not guaranteed in every case.

The article suggests comparing financing offers on both certified and standard used vehicles before deciding. Reviewing the total cost, not just the monthly payment, tends to reveal which option truly fits a buyer's budget.

According to the article, budget, driving habits, and long-term plans all shape which option fits best. Comparing vehicles, warranty terms, and pricing helps buyers make a more confident choice.

What Is the Difference Between Certified Pre-Owned and Used Vehicles features insights from John Pomponio, Automotive Expert of New Rochelle, New York, in HelloNation.

New ATRI Research Identifies Key Telematics Performance Measures for Motor Carriers
Image File
Original HTML

WASHINGTON, Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI) today released new research identifying the telematics measures and functionalities that have the greatest importance to motor carriers for improving safety, operations and maintenance.

The report, From Telematics Data to Decisions: High-Value Performance Metrics for Trucking Operations, provides the industry with a focused, motor carrier-based assessment and ranking of key performance indicators (KPI) from telematics data that deliver the greatest value.

The findings determined that the metrics that have the most impact are not always the most widely used. Managing cost-per-mile, for example, received the highest Importance score in the operations category, yet was used by only 73 percent of respondents. The report's KPI gap analysis provides fleets and telematics providers with a blueprint for focusing on KPIs that matter most.

For safety-related KPIs, the four most widely adopted metrics were critical events, speeding, risky driving behavior and hard braking.

"This research identifies the performance metrics that fleets find most valuable, and highlights those that, for some carriers, deserve more consideration," said Robert Braswell, Executive Director of the American Trucking Associations' (ATA) Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC). "The report gives carriers a practical guide for evaluating what they currently measure versus what they ought to measure to improve safety, maintenance and operations."

The full report can be found on ATRI's website here.

ATRI is the trucking industry's 501c3 not-for-profit research organization. It is engaged in critical research relating to freight transportation's essential role in maintaining a safe, secure and efficient transportation system.

"They have demonstrated strong early adoption while remaining focused on the capabilities required to build a durable business over the long term."

With 10 salons currently open and a growing pipeline preparing to launch across the country, Sparkle is entering its next phase of unit expansion. The company expects to finish 2026 with at least 20 salons open and more than 30 additional openings planned for 2027. Real Estate Expert Erica Trinchero Outlines Home Pricing Strategy Considerations in HelloNation
Image File
Original HTML

The article explains how buyer demand, market conditions, and comparable sales influence pricing decisions.

GILROY, Calif., Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- What should sellers know before choosing a listing price for their home? The answer is explored in a HelloNation article featuring insights from Real Estate Expert Erica Trinchero of Coldwell Banker Real Estate in Gilroy, California.

The article examines why home pricing is one of the most important decisions homeowners make when preparing to sell. While many sellers begin with personal expectations or information gathered online, the article explains that effective pricing requires a broader understanding of market conditions, buyer behavior, competing listings, and recent sales activity.

According to the article, buyers compare multiple properties before deciding which homes deserve closer attention. They evaluate factors such as location, condition, features, size, and perceived value. Because buyers have access to extensive information, home pricing plays a significant role in determining whether a property generates interest or is overlooked.

The article discusses a common assumption among sellers that pricing a home above market value creates room for negotiation. While that approach may appear beneficial, the article notes that it can reduce buyer interest and limit showings. Properties that remain on the market for extended periods often face increased scrutiny from buyers, who may question why the home has not sold. As a result, a successful home pricing strategy focuses on attracting attention early rather than testing the highest possible price.

Recent comparable sales are another important factor highlighted in the article. Comparable properties provide valuable insight into what buyers have recently paid for similar homes. However, the article explains that selecting the right comparable sales requires careful evaluation. Differences in location, lot size, condition, and upgrades can all influence value and should be considered when developing a pricing strategy.

Current competition also affects how buyers evaluate a property. The article notes that buyers rarely assess homes in isolation. Instead, they compare available listings and determine which options offer the best value. Understanding competing inventory allows sellers to create a home pricing strategy that reflects current market realities and positions the property effectively.

Buyer demand is another key consideration. The article explains that strong buyer demand and limited inventory may create greater pricing flexibility for sellers. In contrast, markets with more available homes or slower activity often require a more realistic pricing approach. Because buyer demand changes over time, pricing decisions should reflect current conditions rather than assumptions based on past market performance.

The article emphasizes that the most effective home pricing strategy balances market data, buyer demand, and realistic expectations from the beginning of the sales process. This balanced approach helps sellers position their property in a way that aligns with how buyers make purchasing decisions.

Another topic explored in the article is the role of emotional attachment. Homeowners often have strong personal connections to their property based on years of memories, improvements, and investment. While those experiences are meaningful, the article explains that buyers typically focus on how the home compares to other available options. Successful home pricing requires viewing the property through the perspective of the marketplace.

The article also notes that accurate pricing can contribute to stronger negotiations. When buyers perceive a property as fairly priced, they may be more inclined to submit competitive offers. Strong interest can develop when buyers recognize value and understand that other purchasers may be evaluating the same property.

The article concludes that home pricing is not simply about achieving the highest possible number. Instead, it involves positioning a property effectively within current market conditions. By considering comparable sales, buyer demand, competition, and realistic expectations, sellers can make informed decisions that support a smoother and more successful transaction.

What Sellers Should Know Before Pricing a Home features insights from Erica Trinchero, Real Estate Expert of Gilroy, California, in HelloNation.

Made for the Duo, Built as One: Baseus Unveils a Complete Power Ecosystem for iPhone Duo
Image File
Original HTML

SHENZHEN, China, Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Baseus introduces a charging ecosystem designed for iPhone Duo, featuring the PicoGo Air AM72 Magnetic Power Bank, AH22 100W Digital Display Fast Charger, and HoopRing Phone Case. Built around the needs of a foldable form factor—from fit and grip to power and thermal comfort—the collection delivers a connected experience that works naturally in both folded and unfolded states.

The centerpiece is the Baseus PicoGo Air AM72 Qi2 Magnetic Power Bank (5K, 25W), designed as a true 1:1 match for iPhone Duo—from its precisely tailored dimensions and camera-safe magnetic layout to its refined finish. AM72 also features an Apple-matched aluminum-alloy body that echoes the phone's premium design language, allowing it to blend naturally with the device rather than look like a separate accessory.

Whether commuting, working between meetings, filming on the move, or using the unfolded display for longer sessions, AM72 keeps power close without disrupting the experience. Its 5,000mAh capacity supports Qi2 15W magnetic wireless charging and up to 25W USB-C wired charging, while a 12N magnetic hold keeps it securely aligned. Besides, AM72 sets itself apart from conventional magnetic power banks with a raised platform design that creates a cooling gap between the power bank and iPhone Duo. Together with Glacier Cooling Structure 2.0 and AI adaptive temperature management, it helps dissipate heat more effectively for a cooler, more comfortable charging experience. Despite this enhanced thermal design, AM72 measures just 7.9mm at its slimmest point, maintaining a card-slim profile that feels natural in hand. PowerSense NFC also gives users easy access to battery health and key cell-status information through the app.

For users who want iPhone Duo to be ready before they leave home, the Baseus AH22 100W Digital Display Fast Charger delivers high-output performance in a compact, travel-friendly design. Intelligent power allocation, smart device recognition, and AI temperature control help make everyday charging efficient and dependable, while the customizable digital display keeps charging status clearly in view.

The Baseus HoopRing Phone Case completes the ecosystem with tailored protection and an integrated 360-degree rotating magnetic stand. Its soft-edged design offers a comfortable grip, while the stand enables flexible hands-free viewing in portrait or landscape—whether iPhone Duo is folded, unfolded, or paired with Baseus magnetic accessories.

Together, AM72, AH22, and the HoopRing phone case turn charging from an interruption into a natural part of the foldable experience. The collection for iPhone Duo will be officially available in November. Stay tuned for more details.

Kaiser Permanente's $5M investment in Colorado schools targets absence problem
Image File
Original HTML

Key takeaways

- Kaiser Permanente is launching a major $5 million investment to address a growing public health concern for Colorado school districts: student chronic absence.

- Kaiser Permanente's ongoing commitment to Colorado schools helps districts address teacher and staff well-being, a key driver in costly turnover.

- Chronic absence, which is higher than average in Colorado, is often caused by health conditions and can lead to worse health outcomes over time. But districts often lack data pinpointing why a student is absent.

DENVER, Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Kaiser Permanente is launching a new large-scale, multiyear investment in Colorado schools, which includes a focus on the growing public health concern of student chronic absence.

Kaiser Permanente intends to invest more than $5 million in Colorado schools over the next 3 years and provide innovative new tools, resources, and wraparound support.

The commitment will also continue Kaiser Permanente's leadership in addressing teacher and school staff well-being. This builds on resources that have already helped more than 50 Colorado school districts increase teacher and staff retention, as well as student engagement.

Colorado school districts are encouraged to reach out to discuss Kaiser Permanente's emerging opportunities.

"At a time when Colorado's school districts are struggling for resources to support teachers, staff, and students, we are stepping up to provide an ongoing commitment to address these pressing needs," said Cortney Eisses, regional president of Kaiser Permanente in Colorado. "It's exciting to see school districts building on work we started together decades ago, and we're looking forward to beginning new relationships."

The new chronic absence initiatives will give participating districts:

- New data tools to help track the reasons why students miss school, including health concerns

- Connections to community health providers and social health programs to help absent children get back to the classroom

- Grants and support to put the initiatives' strategies into practice

Teacher and staff well-being opportunities will help districts:

- Directly address well-being through grants, tools, and support

- Map out their well-being environments, strengths, and opportunities through Thriving Schools Integrated Assessment support and donations
