AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 10, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- SHIFT, the health and performance operating system designed for industrial and frontline workforces, has launched its Clinical & Performance Advisory Council and named trauma expert Dr. Brandi Luedtke, PsyD, HSPP, as Founding Advisor.

The council marks another step in SHIFT's mission to rethink how employers support the health, performance and overall capacity of the people who keep America moving.

Many workplace health programs were designed around traditional office environments. SHIFT was built specifically for the realities of frontline work — long shifts, physical demands, stress, fatigue and the pressures employees carry both on and off the job.

In 2022, approximately 5,200 construction workers ages 16 to 64 died by suicide—more than five times the number who died from fatal injuries on the job, according to data analyzed by CPWR–The Center for Construction Research and Training.

CDC data also show that in 2021, men working in construction had a suicide rate of 56.0 per 100,000, compared with 32.0 per 100,000 among men in the overall working population.

"What really drew me to SHIFT is the opportunity to take evidence-based mental health and performance tools beyond traditional clinical settings and into the everyday lives of people who may never otherwise encounter them," said Dr. Luedtke. "Frontline workers face pressures that are very different from those of other populations, so supporting their mental health requires us to understand their environment, their culture and the realities of their work. I'm excited to help SHIFT bridge that gap and make meaningful support more accessible."

"America's frontline workforce deserves support designed for the realities of the job," said Chris LeVeck, founder of SHIFT. "These are the men and women building, moving, maintaining and keeping our country running. We owe it to them to provide practical tools and credible expertise that fit their lives. Dr. Luedtke's appointment is an important step toward that vision."

Dr. Luedtke specializes in trauma exposure, post-traumatic stress disorder and the development of evidence-based mental health interventions. She brings nearly two decades of clinical, research and leadership experience in PTSD-focused care and in training clinicians in evidence-based PTSD treatments.

Her work also includes the development of couples-based interventions for trauma-related disorders and collaborations with organizations serving military and veteran communities.

As a Founding Advisor, Dr. Luedtke will provide strategic guidance as SHIFT develops content and programming in mental health, stress management, resilience and recovery — supporting frontline employees and the organizations that employ them.

The Clinical & Performance Advisory Council will bring together experts across disciplines that shape frontline health and human performance, including mental health and trauma, nervous-system regulation, sleep and recovery, physical health, nutrition and leadership.

Council members will advise SHIFT on content and program development, emerging workforce-health needs and approaches for helping employers create stronger, healthier and more resilient teams.

SHIFT combines real-world workforce experience with digital engagement and performance tools — helping employees address stress, fatigue and preventable health challenges before they affect work and life.

"We're building an operating system that helps people perform better at work and live better outside of it," LeVeck said. "The Advisory Council helps ensure we're building that system alongside people who have spent their careers understanding the challenges our workforce faces."

Additional members of the SHIFT Clinical & Performance Advisory Council will be announced in the coming months.

Helix Launches Whole Exome+® Sequencing for Patients with Rare and Unexplained Genetic Conditions

For patients with unexplained developmental delay, neurological conditions, and rare genetic disease, WES+ brings exome, mitochondrial, and chromosomal analysis together in a single order

SAN MATEO, Calif., Sept. 10, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Helix, the leading enterprise genomics platform, today announced the availability of Whole Exome+® Sequencing (WES+), a comprehensive diagnostic sequencing test now available to ordering providers nationwide.

WES+ integrates four capabilities in a single order: broad exome coverage across 99% of clinically relevant regions, integrated mitochondrial genome analysis, genome-wide digital karyotype. This digital karyotype leverages sequence data to perform high-resolution chromosomal copy number analysis, offering a comprehensive digital view of copy number variations that may eliminate the need for a standalone chromosomal microarray in many clinical scenarios. Additionally, mitochondrial testing — typically a separate add-on or separate order with other labs — is included with WES+ orders, when appropriate. The digital karyotype feature may eliminate the need for a separate chromosomal microarray (CMA) in many clinical scenarios.

WES+ is available for proband-only, duo, and trio configurations. Providers do not need to specify a gene panel or pre-select a differential — clinical notes submitted at ordering guide Helix's phenotype-driven analysis and variant prioritization.

The launch reflects a broader shift in clinical guidelines, with American College of Medical Genetics, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the National Society of Genetic Counselors now recommending consideration of exome or genome sequencing as a priority diagnostic approach for patients with unexplained developmental delay, autism spectrum disorder, epilepsy, congenital anomalies, and related conditions.1,2,3

For many patients with rare or undiagnosed conditions, the path to answers can span years of testing. WES+ is designed to support earlier, more comprehensive genetic evaluation, with the goal of reducing time to diagnosis for patients who have already undergone targeted panel testing.

"Too many patients spend years cycling through inconclusive tests while families wait for answers that should have come much sooner," said Cassie Hajek, MD, Medical Director at Helix. "WES+ gives clinicians a comprehensive genomic picture at the very first visit, giving providers broad visibility into the genomic factors that may be driving a patient's presentation."

Central to Helix's WES+ offering is the Sequence Once, Query Often® (SOQO®) model. Rather than treating sequencing as a discrete event, SOQO establishes a patient's genomic data as a permanent clinical asset. As clinical evidence evolves, new gene-disease associations emerge, or a patient's presentation changes, existing sequence data can be re-queried without a new sample. One complimentary reanalysis per year is included with every WES+ order, upon provider request.

WES+ is ordered through the Helix provider portal and select electronic health record (EHR) integrations, with additional EHR availability expanding as health system partners complete their builds.

Helix works with a range of national and regional health insurance plans, as well as Medicare and Medicaid. Financial assistance programs are available for qualifying patients.

WES+ is available now. Providers can learn more and access ordering information at https://www.helix.com/providers/rare-disease/whole-exome-sequencing.

To learn more about Helix's diagnostic test catalog, which spans hereditary cancer panels, cardiovascular disease panels, pharmacogenomics (PGx), carrier screening, population screening, and general genetics, visit https://www.helix.com/patients/diagnostic-testing.

WES+ is intended to support, not replace, clinical judgment. Results should be reviewed with a qualified genetics professional. In some cases, chromosomal microarray or additional cytogenetic testing may still be clinically indicated. Ordering providers should use clinical judgment.

Six Flags Magic Mountain Announces Thrill Glider, the World's First Thrillglider Roller Coaster, Opening in 2027

Thrill Glider Will Set Multiple World Records and

Deliver an Unprecedented Flying Motorbike Experience

Access to Media Kit HERE

VALENCIA, Calif., Sept. 10, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Six Flags Magic Mountain, the Thrill Capital of the World and one of Southern California's premier theme parks, today announced that Thrill Glider, a first-of-its-kind roller coaster, will debut in 2027. Created exclusively for Magic Mountain, the attraction combines flying, motorbike and suspended coaster technologies to establish an entirely new roller coaster category: the Thrillglider. It will combine the freedom of flight with the intensity of a multi-launch thrill coaster, delivering an experience unlike anything guests have ever ridden.

Developed by world-renowned coaster manufacturer Vekoma for Six Flags Magic Mountain, Thrill Glider riders will board hovercycles — flying-bike vehicles — and assume a prone, face-forward position suspended beneath the track. The custom-designed, terrain-following layout encompasses 20 unique track elements and packs an action-filled 80 seconds into a dynamic aerial adventure. Guests will launch multiple times to speeds reaching 50 mph, encounter 12 airtime moments, soar through five unique inversions (wing-over, zero-g roll, overbanked stall turn, barrel roll and upward barrel roll) and race through a dramatic station fly-by as they traverse nearly 3.5 acres. Enhanced by synchronized onboard audio and immersive lighting effects, every moment is designed to amplify the sensation of speed, flight and freedom.

Upon opening, Thrill Glider will set a collection of records, including:

- World's First Thrillglider

- World's First Multi-Launch Thrillglider

- World's Longest Thrillglider – 3,380 feet, which is more than half a mile

- World's Fastest Thrillglider – 50 mph

- World's Tallest Thrillglider – 107 feet

- Most Inversions on a Thrillglider – 5

Thrill Glider will immerse visitors in the world of QuantumPulse Propulsion Systems, a visionary technology company led by inventor and entrepreneur Rebecca Silva. The journey begins long before takeoff in "The Futurist Pavilion," a sleek showcase facility filled with dynamic displays, holographic presentations and scientific exhibits detailing the company's discovery of PSR B417, a powerful new energy source with the potential to transform tomorrow. As riders make their way through the queue, they catch glimpses of towering hexagonal collectors embedded into the hillside, harvesting energy from distant pulsars in space. Upon entering the load station, illuminated blue energy lines, aerodynamic architecture and pulsing atmospheric audio build anticipation as riders prepare to board QuantumPulse's latest breakthrough. Once launched, the power of PSR B417 will be felt firsthand as the vehicles soar above the landscape through sweeping maneuvers, sudden dives and weightless moments that simulate piloting a high-speed hovercycle powered by tomorrow's technology. Blending engaging storytelling, futuristic design and advanced coaster technology, Thrill Glider delivers a one-of-a-kind adventure that transports guests into an optimistic vision of the future.

"Thrill Glider is more than a new attraction. It is the latest milestone in Six Flags Magic Mountain's renaissance and a reflection of the park's enduring role as an industry innovator," said Brian Oerding, park president of Six Flags Magic Mountain. "With a decades-long reputation for introducing record-breaking attractions and genre-defining rides, Magic Mountain is uniquely positioned to pioneer an entirely new coaster category and bring Thrill Glider to life."

At Magic Mountain, excitement isn't defined by a single measurement. For some guests, that means chasing record-breaking speeds and inversions. For others, it's the feeling of soaring through the air, experiencing weightlessness for the first time or sharing an unforgettable ride with family and friends. As the park continues to evolve, it is introducing attractions that appeal to a wider range of guests while maintaining its reputation as the Thrill Capital of the World. Thrill Glider represents that vision, delivering a new kind of excitement that makes the sensation of flight accessible to more riders than ever before. With a minimum height requirement of just 48 inches, Thrill Glider will be open to a broad range of thrill seekers, from families and first-time coaster riders to dedicated enthusiasts.

Thrill Glider will be located on the former site of the Golden Bear Theatre between Full Throttle and LEX LUTHOR™: Drop of Doom and adjacent to the recently reimagined Looney Tunes™ Land. The ride is already under construction and is scheduled to open in 2027. Additional details and opening information will be announced at a later date.

Start Your Countdown to Flight

Guests can lock in their seat to be one of the first to ride Thrill Glider with a 2027 Season Pass, available now. The lowest price of the season was recently extended and is available through Sept. 13, allowing unlimited flights in 2027, as well as park access for the remainder of 2026. Guests can begin the countdown today and watch as Thrill Glider takes shape while also enjoying this year's Fright Fest, Tricks and Treats and Holiday in the Park seasonal celebrations. Passholders also receive regional access to multiple parks across the West Coast, including Knott's Berry Farm featuring the newly opened MonteZOOMa: The Forbidden Fortress and the park's legendary Halloween celebrations, Knott's Scary Farm.

KARAS WINES NOMINATED FOR 'NEW WORLD WINERY OF THE YEAR' BY WINE ENTHUSIAST

Armenian pioneer recognized for helping shape the country's modern wine renaissance through ancient winemaking heritage, high-altitude volcanic terroir and innovation

NEW YORK, Sept. 10, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Karas Wines, one of Armenia's leading wineries and a pioneering force behind the country's modern wine renaissance, has been nominated for 'New World Winery of the Year' in the 2026 Wine Enthusiast Wine Star Awards.

While Armenia has one of the world's oldest winemaking traditions, Karas represents a new chapter for Armenian wine, combining ancient heritage with modern viticulture, technology and an international vision to bring the country's distinctive terroirs and indigenous varieties to the global wine market.

"It is a great honor for Karas Wines to be nominated for New World Winery of the Year by Wine Enthusiast," said Juliana Del Aguila Eurnekian, Owner and President of Karas Wines. "This nomination is a wonderful recognition of the journey we have undertaken over the past two decades to build a modern winery in Armenia while remaining deeply connected to the history, land and traditions of our country. We are proud to see Armenian wine gaining greater visibility internationally, and we are honored that Karas is part of this conversation."

Founded in 2004 by the Eurnekian family, Karas Wines is located in Armenia's Ararat Valley, in the Armavir region, where its vineyards are planted at elevations exceeding 1,300 meters above sea level in mineral-rich volcanic soils. The estate encompasses more than 400 hectares of vineyards, growing both indigenous Armenian varieties and international grapes.

Karas' approach is rooted in the exploration and preservation of Armenia's indigenous grape heritage while embracing modern winemaking. The winery has supported ampelographic research identifying and studying more than 120 indigenous Armenian grape varieties, including Areni and Sireni, and has combined traditional practices such as the use of karases—Armenian clay vessels—with contemporary viticulture and winemaking techniques.

Innovation and sustainability are also central to the winery's development. Karas became the first Armenian winery to certify an organic vineyard, while investing in solar energy, advanced drip irrigation and digitally managed water systems designed for responsible vineyard management in the semi-arid Ararat Valley.

Today, Karas wines are exported to international markets including the United States and Europe, where the winery continues to introduce consumers and the wine trade to Armenia's emerging wine identity. Its wines have received international recognition, while the brand has expanded its presence in the U.S. market through placements with major national retailers. In the United States, Karas wines are available through Fat & Happy Beverages, the winery's U.S. importer and distributor, as well as at Total Wine & More, where a selection of Karas wines is available to consumers.

The Wine Star Awards recognize outstanding contributions to the wine and beverage industry across a range of categories and special recognitions. Karas Wines' nomination places the Armenian winery among the producers being considered for one of the industry's notable annual honors and brings further international attention to Armenia's growing presence on the global wine stage.

Roofing Restoration Expert Travis Frees Explains Roof Repair vs. Replacement in HelloNation
Image File
Original HTML

The Article Outlines Warning Signs That Help Homeowners Determine Whether Roof Repair or Replacement Is the More Practical Long-Term Solution.

READING, Pa., Sept. 10, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- What signs show whether a homeowner needs roof repair or roof replacement? HelloNation published an article featuring insights from Roofing Restoration Expert Travis Frees that answers this question.

The article explains that deciding between roof repair vs. replacement depends on several parts of a roofing system. Roof age, the extent of damage, and whether problems are isolated or widespread can all affect the decision. A professional inspection should consider shingles, flashing, valleys, pipe boots, attic ventilation, and decking, not just visible damage.

Storm damage is a common roofing concern in Reading and Berks County. The article notes that high winds, hail, and falling tree limbs can leave shingles missing or expose roofing materials. When damage is limited to a small area and surrounding shingles remain secure, targeted roof repair may provide sufficient protection.

The HelloNation article explains that widespread storm damage can look different. Shingles that repeatedly lift during windstorms, crack during handling, or become brittle may indicate aging materials. When deterioration affects larger portions of the roofing system, roof replacement may offer a more dependable solution than repeated repairs.

Granule loss is another warning sign the article discusses. Asphalt shingles naturally lose some granules over time, but excessive buildup in gutters can indicate advanced wear. As shingles lose their protective surface, they become more vulnerable to moisture, ultraviolet exposure, and further deterioration.

The article also identifies curling edges, cracked shingles, faded surfaces, and bald spots as signs of aging materials. Isolated problems may still be repairable, while widespread wear can indicate that the roofing system is approaching the end of its expected service life.

Roof age is another important consideration when comparing roof repair vs. replacement. According to the article, many asphalt shingle roofs last approximately 20 to 25 years. Actual lifespan can vary based on installation quality, ventilation, maintenance, and exposure to local weather conditions.

Interior warning signs can also reveal problems that are difficult to see from outside. Water stains on ceilings or walls may result from flashing failures, damaged pipe boots, or minor shingle damage. The article explains that repeated leaks in multiple rooms can point to broader roofing system failure.

Roofing Restoration Expert Travis Frees is also featured in the article's discussion of problems beneath the roof surface. Poor attic ventilation can trap heat and moisture, contributing to warped decking, mold growth, and premature shingle deterioration. The article notes that a thorough inspection should evaluate attic conditions, ventilation, drainage patterns, and flashing details.

For older roofs, repeated repairs may temporarily address leaks while deterioration continues elsewhere. The article explains that homeowners should receive guidance based on the roof's actual condition. Recommend proper repairs when they can realistically solve the problem, while widespread deterioration or recurring leaks may make replacement more practical.

The article concludes that homeowners in Reading and Berks County should watch for missing shingles, granule loss, water stains, storm damage, and attic ventilation problems. A professional inspection can help determine whether repairs are sufficient or replacement offers the more practical long-term approach.

Do You Need Roof Repair or Roof Replacement in Reading, PA? features insights from Travis Frees, Roofing Restoration Expert of Reading, Pennsylvania, in HelloNation.

In the news release, Cadbury Brings Together Style and Generosity with "There's Magic in More", issued 10-Sep-2026 by The Hershey Company over PR Newswire, we are advised by the company that changes have been made. The complete, corrected release follows, with additional details at the end:

Cadbury Brings Together Style and Generosity with "There's Magic in More"

The new campaign steps out in style with LUAR, New York-based fashion brand, proving that chocolate is even better when there's more to share

HERSHEY, Pa., Sept. 10, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Cadbury believes life's most memorable moments often begin with a little extra thought, generosity and chocolate. To celebrate the launch of its new "There's Magic in More" campaign, Cadbury is bringing that belief to New York Fashion Week through a collaboration with fashion designer LUAR, debuting a crystal-covered clutch designed to hold and share Cadbury XL Bars. The limited-edition accessory offers a delightfully unexpected first look at the brand's largest U.S. campaign to date, a multi-year platform inspired by the idea that a little more thought, generosity and chocolate can transform everyday moments into something magical.

The Cadbury Clutch: A Sparkling Take on Generosity

Dressed in the brand's unmistakable jewel-tone purple, the Cadbury Clutch sparkles with gold accents and individually applied Swarovski crystals. Its crystal-covered flap took approximately eight hours to complete, while a concealed platinum-silver insulated interior helps keep Cadbury chocolate cool and ready for an unexpected moment of generosity. Only five clutches have been created, making each one a rare little reminder that sharing chocolate can be every bit as glamorous as it is delicious.

LUAR QUOTE: "Cadbury's focus on quality, detail and generosity mirrors my work," said Raul Lopez, Founder and Creative Director of LUAR. "From the silhouette and color to the hand-applied crystals, every element feels intentional and true to both brands. It is bold and beautifully crafted, but designed to be opened and shared."

Celebrating the Magic in More

The clutch is just the beginning. Through "There's Magic in More," Cadbury is celebrating the delightful difference a little extra can make. A little more thought. A little more generosity. And, naturally, a little more chocolate. For generations, Cadbury has been known for bringing a little more to every bite, from its signature creamy chocolate to generous ingredients crafted for sharing. "There's Magic in More" builds on that heritage, celebrating the idea that the same spirit of generosity found in Cadbury chocolate can inspire meaningful connections every day. Watch the 30-second Department of More hero film HERE.

Consumers will meet the wonderfully dedicated people behind every creamy bite through cinematic storytelling, social experiences and unexpected cultural moments – from ingredient specialists and chocolate makers to those entrusted with the very important responsibility of taste-testing. Together, their stories show how the brand's care, craft and generous spirit can turn an ordinary moment into something magical. The first chapter of "There's Magic in More" invites consumers into the Department of More, a world where thoughtful gestures, generous spirits and a shared piece of chocolate can spark something unexpectedly magical.

A Little More to Discover

Throughout New York Fashion Week, the Cadbury Clutch will travel from the runway to some of the city's most stylish moments, bringing a bit of Cadbury magic along with it. Cadbury, NYLON and LUAR are inviting fashion fans and chocolate lovers, alike, to discover how generosity can show up in unexpected places.

- See it on the runway: The Cadbury Clutch will make its runway debut at LUAR's Spring/Summer 2027 New York Fashion Week show on September 14. Cadbury CARAMELLO XL Bars will lead the New York Fashion Week activation, alongside DAIRY MILK XL, DAIRY MILK Fruit & Nut XL, CARAMELLO Sweetly Dark XL and CARAMELLO Miniatures.

- Spot it throughout Fashion Week: NYLON Editor-in-Chief Lauren McCarthy and content creator Tefi Pessoa will carry the Cadbury Clutch to the LUAR show, NYLON Nights and across New York throughout New York Fashion Week.

- Pay it forward: Through the Cadbury and NYLON Pay It Forward Sweepstakes, consumers can shine a spotlight on someone who gives a little more and share the story of how they brighten others' lives. Two selected nominees will each receive a custom LUAR-designed Cadbury Clutch, with matching clutches awarded to the people who nominated them — celebrating both the inspiring individuals and the people who make sure their stories are recognized. Enter on September 15 here.

"At Cadbury, we believe the most memorable moments begin with a simple act of generosity, whether that's sharing a piece of chocolate or going the extra mile for someone else," said Eric Newton, Director, Premium Chocolate at The Hershey Company. "The Cadbury Clutch brings that belief to life in a delightfully unexpected way, combining beautiful craftsmanship, delicious chocolate and an irresistible invitation to open it up and share."

About The Galien Foundation

The Galien Foundation fosters, recognizes, and rewards excellence in scientific innovation to improve human health. Its vision is to serve as a catalyst for the development of the next generation of treatments and technologies that will transform medical practice and save lives. Established in Paris in 1970 by Roland Mehl in honor of Galen, the father of medical science and modern pharmacology, the Prix Galien is widely regarded as the equivalent of the Nobel Prize in biopharmaceutical research.

Today, the Prix Galien operates through 16 chapters spanning more than 75 countries across Africa, the Americas, Asia, and Europe. Expansion is currently underway in China, Singapore, and Australia.

In 2025, the Foundation launched the inaugural Prix Galien Bridges Forum and Awards Ceremony at the Nobel Forum in Stockholm, spanning Northern and Southern Europe, Israel, and the Middle East, and the first-ever Patient Summit for Prix Galien USA, reinforcing its commitment to science without borders.

The Nobel Prize and the Prix Galien share a common birthplace in Paris, where Alfred Nobel signed his last will and testament in 1895. However, while the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine recognizes up to three individuals for specific discoveries, the Prix Galien honors the collaborative spirit and multidisciplinary progress that define modern biopharmaceutical innovation.
