Rostock – – November 03, 2026 -- The German Navy Command has published its annual report "Maritime Dependencies of Germany" for 2025, warning that attacks on the Strait of Hormuz hit Germany "hard and directly" despite a 6,500-nautical-mile distance to the Port of Hamburg.

The Naval Shipping Management in Hamburg compiled the report. It bundles analysis and data on maritime security, seaborne trade, German seaports, global shipbuilding and the merchant fleet.
