DuPont Raises 2026 Guidance After Q3 Beat, Plans $250M Buyback

Wilmington – November 03, 2026 -- DuPont raised its full-year 2026 outlook for the second time after third-quarter net sales rose 4% to $1.9 billion, with adjusted EPS of $2.09 and transaction-adjusted free cash flow of $341 million, a 121% conversion rate.

DuPont lifts full-year adjusted EPS guidance to $7.47-$7.52

The company now expects organic growth of about 4.5%, operating EBITDA of about $1.785 billion and adjusted EPS of $7.47 to $7.52. CFO Antonella Franzen said all three metrics sit at or above the high end of previously communicated guidance.

Third-quarter organic sales grew 5%, partly offset by a 1% currency headwind. GAAP income from continuing operations was $171 million, or $1.24 per share, and operating EBITDA was $469 million. GAAP earnings improved on higher segment earnings and lower interest expense and transaction costs. Adjusted EPS rose on higher segment earnings and lower net interest expense, tax rate and share count.

Cash conversion of 121% funds a further $250 million buyback

Operating cash flow from continuing operations was $410 million. Capital expenditures of $71 million and $2 million of separation-related payments left free cash flow of $341 million.

DuPont completed a $250 million accelerated share purchase and substantially completed $100 million of open-market repurchases in the quarter. It intends to repurchase another $250 million of shares in the fourth quarter. CEO Lori Koch said the company is executing from "a position of strength."

Healthcare & Water Technologies grows 4% organically, Diversified Industrials 5%

In Healthcare Technologies, organic sales rose mid-single digits, led by personal protection and medical packaging. Water Technologies grew low-single digits on strength in industrial water, semiconductor and specialty markets. Continued disruptions in the Middle East partly offset that growth.

In Diversified Industrials, Building Technologies grew mid-single digits organically on demand in North America and Asia. Industrial Technologies also grew mid-single digits on aerospace and electric vehicle battery applications. Operating EBITDA and margin rose in both segments on organic growth and productivity.

Year-ago comparisons were lifted by an order timing shift from the fourth quarter of 2025 tied to separation activities. The shift added $15 million, or 2%, to third-quarter 2025 sales in each segment, primarily in Water Technologies and Industrial Technologies.

Portfolio reshaping continues to shape reported results

DuPont completed the sale of its Aramids business on April 1, 2026, to a subsidiary of Arclin, a portfolio company of an affiliate of TJC LP. Consideration comprised pre-tax cash proceeds of about $1.2 billion, a $300 million note receivable and a non-controlling equity interest in Arclin valued at $325 million. Aramids is reported as discontinued operations.

The Electronics business was spun off as Qnity Electronics on November 1, 2025, and is also reported as discontinued operations. A 1-for-3 reverse stock split took effect on June 24, 2026, and all share data has been retroactively adjusted.
