Alair Homes Opens Columbia, Mo. Franchise Under TigerTown Founder

COLUMBIA – November 03, 2026 -- Alair Homes has opened Alair Columbia in Missouri, led by Brad Young, founder of Columbia-based TigerTown Home Improvement, extending its network of independently owned custom home building and renovation businesses across North America.

Alair converts an established local builder instead of launching a greenfield office

Young becomes Partner of Alair Columbia and keeps his existing local team. He said clients will keep working with the same people, now backed by the Alair network.

Mike Peters, Regional Partner for Alair Missouri, said the expansion strategy prioritizes people over markets. He said Alair is not interested in opening locations just to grow its footprint. Peters cited the company's established presence in Springfield as the base for the Columbia move.

Columbia's university and healthcare anchors drive custom build and renovation demand

Alair describes Columbia as one of Missouri's fastest-growing communities, with opportunities in custom home construction and large-scale renovations. The market is anchored by the University of Missouri, a strong healthcare sector and established residential neighborhoods.

Peters said Young had built a successful company, assembled a strong team and earned the trust of clients and industry partners in the Columbia market.

Franchise network gives the Columbia team shared systems and resources

The Columbia team gains access to a network of builders and business owners across North America, along with systems, resources and support intended to strengthen an already successful business. Alair says the addition advances its long-term vision for Missouri and creates room for collaboration and shared learning across the region.

Grand opening on October 22 draws more than 80 attendees

Alair Columbia held its Grand Opening on October 22, supported by vendor partners Kohler, Ferguson Home, Andersen Window and Sherwin Williams. More than 80 past clients, trade partners, neighbors, friends and Alair colleagues from across North America attended.

The team partnered with local animal rescue Columbia Second Chance, which brought adoptable dogs to the event.
