Total trades reached 7,041, up 55% month over month. Average daily volume grew 21% to 4,381 contracts (4.4 GWh). A single-day record of nearly 7,400 contracts (7.4 GWh) was set on October 20. The exchange also reported record highs in the number of active trading firms, though it gave no figure.

Volume growth by grid operator was led by SPP at +121%, followed by CAISO at +73%, ERCOT at +60% and NYISO at +49%.
Lifetime contracts pass 300,000 in 23 trading days
The exchange crossed 100,000 lifetime contracts on July 29, 123 trading days after launch. It passed 200,000 on September 22, 38 trading days later, and 300,000 on October 23, just 23 trading days after that.
CEO Sam Tegel attributed the growth to an "institutional-first approach" built on an API-first platform and small-sized, hourly contracts. He named renewable generators, battery owners, data center operators and retail electric providers as users managing daily risk exposure.
Hourly futures and binary options target short-dated strategies
ElectronX launched its first product suite in February 2026. It describes itself as the first U.S.-regulated, direct-access power derivatives exchange and clearinghouse offering hourly futures and binary options for all tradable U.S. grid systems. Its low-latency infrastructure is aimed at quantitative power desks, renewable operators and grid-edge optimizers running programmatic volatility controls.
The company links demand to U.S. power sector efforts to control costs tied to AI development and widespread electrification. ElectronX operates as a Designated Contract Market and Derivatives Clearing Organization.
