NIDS Targets Robotics and HVAC Buyers at CES 2027 With Sensors

SEOUL – October 31, 2026 -- NIDS Co., Ltd., a South Korean environmental sensor maker that says it has supplied more than 10 million sensors cumulatively, has confirmed it will exhibit at CES 2027 to convert product introductions into overseas supply contracts.

The company is targeting global home appliance makers, HVAC specialists and robotics companies. Its customer base already includes Dyson, Samsung Electronics and Hyundai Motor.

NIDS Claims 5 Million Units of Annual Mass-Production Capacity

NIDS designs the core air quality measurement components in-house and says it has a system in place to mass-produce 5 million units a year. Its portfolio covers particulate matter sensors measuring PM1.0, PM2.5 and PM10, and non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) optical gas sensors for carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide. It also sells composite environmental sensors and electronic nose modules that detect odors, gas leaks and fires.

Composite Modules Become the Core of the Expansion Plan

NIDS plans to concentrate development on next-generation composite sensor modules that handle multiple types of environmental data. Target markets are robotics, industrial safety and odor detection, in addition to its existing home appliance, automotive and smart building HVAC business. At CES, the company will also show a newly developed ultra-compact MEMS sensor technology.

The company says that owning its precision sensors lets it control sensitivity and tune algorithms to the host system.

Overseas Bases in the US, Japan and China Support Export Push

NIDS will use its branches in the United States, Japan and China to widen contact with buyers around the show. The company is aiming for export results by combining exhibition participation with these local networks.

The CES appearance follows NIDS's presentation of its next-generation sensor modules at SEDEX 2026 at COEX in Seoul, in the Korea Semiconductor Industry Association's Sensor Pavilion. The company says that event raised its profile among domestic home appliance and electronic component professionals.
