LAS VEGAS – October 30, 2026 -- Samyang Corporation is introducing a tapioca-based resistant dextrin to the North American market at SupplySide Global 2026, adding a non-corn option to its existing corn-based fiber line.

The company is targeting customers seeking alternatives to corn-derived ingredients. Jung Jisuk, Head of the Food Business Unit, said diverse ingredient selection criteria make integrated solutions essential.

Samyang also presents kestose, a crystalline dietary fiber, extending its fiber applications beyond the powder and liquid formats it already offers. Kestose is a fructooligosaccharide (FOS) and a prebiotic. According to Samyang, it absorbs little moisture, which limits clumping, and dissolves readily in water.

Booth tastings put sugar reduction and fiber enrichment into three formats

Samyang is serving a hydration beverage made with allulose and resistant dextrin. It combines reduced sugar with added fiber and a mineral formulation designed for electrolyte support before and after exercise and through the day.

A powdered electrolyte drink made with kestose comes in single-serve stick packs for mixing with water. Samyang says the fiber's low moisture uptake suits powdered beverages and stick-pack products.

Vitamin C pectin gummies complete the tasting lineup. They carry significantly reduced sugar and added fiber, and they keep the chewy texture and shape stability of conventional gummies without gelatin.

Allulose research and application work address taste and texture shifts in reformulation

Samyang says it has continued to build scientific evidence on the health benefits of allulose, an alternative sweetener. It is also advancing application technologies to handle changes in taste, texture and physical properties when sugar is replaced. At the show, it presents both its research findings and its application technologies.

Its branded ingredients are Nexweet allulose, Fiberest resistant dextrin and Fibernova kestose. Nexweet is a low-calorie sweetener delivering about 70% of the sweetness of sugar.

SupplySide Global runs October 28-30 in Las Vegas. It covers dietary supplement, food and beverage, personal care and pet nutrition ingredients.
