Graphite One's U.S. Supply Chain Strategy

With the United States currently 100% import-dependent for natural graphite, Graphite One is developing a fully integrated U.S.-based supply chain anchored by the Graphite Creek deposit – recognized by the U.S. Geological Survey as the largest graphite deposit in the U.S. and among the largest globally. The Company's current strategy includes:

- Mining at Graphite Creek (Alaska)

- Transporting via the Port of Nome

- Processing into advanced graphite and anode materials in Ohio

- Potential co-located recycling facility to recover graphite and other battery materials, subject to project financing

This integrated approach positions Graphite One to become a cornerstone supplier in a domestic, circular battery materials economy in recognition of graphite's indispensable role in rapidly developing technology sectors. The Company's strategy now includes the creation of a new advanced systems division, which will be the platform for developing next-generation graphite technologies and supply systems for the energy, technology, and national security sectors.

About Graphite One Inc.

GRAPHITE ONE INC. continues to develop its Graphite One Project (the "Project"), with the goal of becoming an American producer of high-grade anode materials that is integrated with a domestic graphite resource. The Project is proposed as a vertically integrated enterprise to mine and process natural graphite and to manufacture artificial and natural graphite anode active materials primarily for the lithium-ion electric vehicle battery and energy storage markets.

NEW YORK, Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- SharonAI Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: SHAZ) ("Sharon AI" or the "Company"), a leading Australian Neocloud delivering trusted AI infrastructure, today announced it has entered into its inaugural US$356m committed senior secured, GPU-backed SPV debt facility priced at a fixed rate of 9.95%, excluding fees.

The facility includes marquee Australian, Asian and global investors including Goldman Sachs and select large private credit funds. This facility is the first in an expected series of GPU financings supporting the scheduled build out of over 68,000 NVIDIA GPUs deployed by mid-2027.

With the closing of this transaction, Sharon AI will have secured over US$2.6bn of institutional debt and equity capital over the past 10 months, extending the Company's capital markets program and underscoring Sharon AI's ability to access diversified sources of capital as it scales its AI infrastructure platform for a growing customer base of hyperscale, AI natives, government, enterprise, and research organizations.

Advances in Digital Therapeutics and HoneyNaps AI Enhance Clinical Trial Efficiency

- Supporting pharmaceutical, medical device, wellness, and research organizations in obtaining standardized sleep data

- Expanding the use of SOMNUM scoring technology to provide clinical analysis services tailored to each customer's research objectives

- AI Technologies Supporting Global Clinical Trials in Drug Development

BOSTON, Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- More pharmaceutical companies and research organizations are turning to HoneyNaps, an AI-based sleep health technology company, for objective analysis and validation of sleep data. Demand spans clinical trials of sleep medications, evaluations of wellness sleep devices and home-care products, and studies involving positive airway pressure (PAP) therapy and cardiovascular disease. In response, HoneyNaps is broadening the scope of its clinical analysis services.

HoneyNaps has completed registration as a clinical research organization (CRO) with the Korea National Enterprise for Clinical Trials (KoNECT). It combines AI-powered sleep analysis technology with experience supporting clinical trials involving more than 10,000 participants and the capabilities to operate multicenter, multidisciplinary studies. Its clinical sleep data analysis services quantify key physiological measures obtained through polysomnography (PSG), including sleep stages, respiratory events, and arousals, and support the analysis of clinical endpoints aligned with each study's objectives.

Although research objectives vary across sectors, pharmaceutical companies, device developers, and research organizations share a need for objective, consistent sleep data. Evaluating treatment response or device performance requires sleep metrics to be analyzed against consistent criteria while minimizing variability between institutions and scorers. The need to establish reliable and reproducible data is driving growing interest in HoneyNaps' sleep analysis technology.

As demand for sleep data analysis and validation grows across sectors, HoneyNaps is extending its business beyond sleep scoring with its SOMNUM platform into clinical analysis services for the pharmaceutical, wellness, and medical device industries. Data quantifying sleep architecture and continuity, respiratory patterns, and oxygen saturation changes may also serve as foundational evidence for future digital biomarker development.

Taekyoung (Sean) Ha, PhD, President of HoneyNaps USA, said, "Pharmaceutical companies, device developers, and research organizations pursue different research objectives, but they share a need for objective and consistent sleep data. As more customers across these sectors turn to HoneyNaps to obtain such data, we are expanding both the applications of our existing scoring technology and the business areas that contribute to revenue."

He added, "We will continue to support the generation of clinical evidence through endpoints suited to each study and standardized analysis criteria, while diversifying our revenue base."

AppZen introduces ZenLM Plus, finance-specialized language models that outperform frontier models on finance T&E tasks
Image File
Original HTML

New family of finance-specialized large language models led five of six audit control comparisons and reached 97.4 F1 across targeted policy-category cases, 8.7 points above the strongest frontier model tested.

SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- AppZen, the leader in autonomous finance operations, today introduced ZenLM Plus, a new family of finance-specialized large language models built for the decisions at the center of finance operations.

Finance transformation is entering a new phase, moving beyond AI that assists finance teams to AI agents that can perform work autonomously. Achieving this shift requires specialized intelligence, trusted data, executable workflows, and enterprise governance operating as one integrated system.

AppZen has been building toward this vision through the evolution of its ZenLM models and the Mastermind Platform. Mastermind provides the harness, orchestration, workflows, and controls needed to apply that intelligence across finance operations. It intelligently routes each finance task to the model or method best suited to perform it, whether that is a specialized AppZen ZenLM Plus model, deterministic logic, or a frontier model. This enables finance teams to automate more work at a lower cost, while preserving the accuracy, governance, auditability, and evidence required for every decision.

"Autonomous finance requires more than a powerful model," said Anant Kale, CEO and co-founder of AppZen. "It requires the complete stack, with finance-specialized models, proprietary data, intelligent workflows, and enterprise governance working together to make decisions and take action with accuracy, transparency, and control. ZenLM Plus now outperforms the frontier models we tested on expense audit tasks while operating at a lower cost. Combined with AppZen's agent-first platform, it delivers on the promise of finance transformation, with our AI Agents safely performing more work, autonomously, at enterprise scale."

Benchmark results, tested against seven frontier models

AppZen compared ZenLM Plus with seven frontier models: Opus 5, Sonnet 5, Gemini 3.1 Pro, Gemini 3.5 Flash, GPT-5.6 Sol, GPT-5.6 Terra, and GPT-5.6 Luna. For each audit control, every system received the same relevant expense data, supporting documents, and customer configuration. AppZen scored each system on two measures: precision, the share of flagged expenses that were true violations, and recall, the share of true violations the system caught. It then combined the two into an F1 score of 0 to 100, where 100 indicates perfect accuracy.

ZenLM Plus led five of the six individual audit-control comparisons. It achieved an F1 of 97.4 across targeted policy-category cases, compared with 88.3 for GPT-5.6 Sol, the strongest frontier result. ZenLM Plus led all four consolidated policy groups, including advantages of 10.8 points in premium travel and upgrades, 4.2 points in electronic devices and gifts, and 2.5 points in policy and documentation exceptions.

Among the individual controls, the largest advantage appeared in non-conforming receipt detection. ZenLM Plus achieved an F1 of 92.4, 7.2 points ahead of Opus 5. This task requires more than recognizing a document. A payment slip may prove a card was charged without qualifying as a merchant receipt, while an emailed order confirmation may be valid even if it does not resemble a traditional receipt.

ZenLM Plus also led in catching duplicates across reports, receipt itemization verification, and merchant category matching. Receipt verification was the one control where a frontier model performed slightly better: ZenLM Plus achieved 93.3 F1, compared with 94.1 for Gemini 3.1 Pro and Sonnet 5.

"With ZenLM Plus, we are building the intelligence layer finance teams actually need," said Kunal Verma, CTO and co-founder of AppZen. "Our models are trained on real financial documents, policy decisions, and audit outcomes, then evaluated task by task before they reach production. That approach delivered stronger results on most controls we tested at a fraction of the modeled inference cost. And when a frontier model is better for a specific task, AppZen can use it. Our goal is the best outcome for the customer."

ZenLM Plus also delivered the lowest modeled inference cost of any system evaluated. Even GPT-5.6 Luna, the least expensive frontier model tested, was approximately twice as costly per 1,000 audited expense lines, while Opus 5 was approximately 50 times as costly. This advantage makes it practical to apply specialized AI across high-volume audit workflows while maintaining strong performance.

Purpose-built for the decisions finance teams manage every day

ZenLM Plus supports a broad range of finance controls used by Travel & Expense (T&E) teams across AppZen Expense Audit. In this evaluation, ZenLM Plus covered:

- Policy and category decisions: Applies customer-defined rules to premium travel and upgrades, electronic devices and gifts, personal expenses, merchant categories, fuel-service restrictions, and missing-receipt affidavits.

- Receipt validity and transaction verification: Determines whether supporting evidence qualifies as a valid merchant receipt and whether the merchant, date, amount, expense type, and currency are consistent with the submitted expense.

- Documentation and itemization requirements: Verifies that hotel and meal receipts contain the required line-item or daily detail, and that expenses are submitted within the organization's configured time limits.

- Cross-report duplicate detection: Searches across the submitting employee's and other employees' reports to identify the same receipt or underlying purchase submitted more than once.

Depending on the control, ZenLM Plus draws on employee-entered fields, receipt extractions, payment type, a company's configured categories and thresholds, merchant information, card data, and related expense reports. Its judgment reflects how each customer defines risk rather than a general assumption of what a reasonable company would do.

Availability

ZenLM Plus is currently available for select customers within AppZen's Expense Audit. It will be generally available in December 2026. For more information, please visit https://www.appzen.com/mastermind-ai-automation-platform.

Lutris Pharma Announces Positive Updated Phase 2 Data Demonstrating Durable, Mechanism-Directed Benefit of LUT014 Gel for EGFRI-Induced Acneiform Rash at the EADV Congress

LUT014 0.1% Gel Demonstrated Statistically Significant Improvement in Treatment Success Achieved by 71.8% of Patients Compared with 38.5% for Placebo (p=0.003)

LUT014 0.1% Demonstrated Statistically Significant Improvement in Clinician-Assessed Rash Severity

LUT014 0.1% Significantly Reduced Non-Adherence to EGFRI Therapy and Treatment Benefit Remained Durable Through Day 55

TEL AVIV, Israel, Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Lutris Pharma, a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company focused on improving the quality of life and drug adherence for patients treated with anti-cancer therapies by mitigating dermatological toxicities, today announced positive updated results from its Phase 2, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial of its lead compound, LUT014. LUT014 is a novel topical B-Raf inhibitor designed to reduce or prevent worsening of dermatological toxicities caused by anti-cancer drugs that target the MAPK pathway through paradoxical MAPK reactivation. The results will be presented in an oral presentation at the 35th European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) Congress, being held September 30 through October 3 in Vienna, Austria.

The updated data show that LUT014 0.1% gel demonstrated statistically significant improvements across key measures of EGFRI-induced acneiform rash. The composite primary endpoint of Treatment Success was achieved in 71.8% of patients receiving LUT014 0.1% gel compared with 38.5% receiving placebo (p=0.003). Within the composite endpoint, evaluating the component of the clinician reported outcome measure CTCAE acneiform rash v5.0, 56.4% of patients receiving LUT014 0.1% achieved at least a one-grade improvement compared with 15.4% receiving placebo (p=0.0002) and, evaluating the component of the patient-reported outcome measure using the 13 skin-specific questions from FACT-EGFRI-18 questionnaire, 53.8% of patients receiving LUT014 0.1% achieved at least a five-grade improvement compared with 28.2% receiving placebo (p=0.021) The effect of LUT014 was durable on Day 55, with the composite primary endpoint of Treatment Success achieved in 69.2% of patients receiving LUT014 0.1% gel compared with 31.8% receiving placebo (p=0.005). Importantly, non-adherence to the EGFRI therapy occurred in only 10.3% of patients receiving LUT014 0.1% compared with 28.2% receiving placebo (p=0.044), supporting continued EGFRI therapy at prescribed dosing. The safety profile of LUT014 remains favorable, as previously presented.

"Acneiform rash related to EGFR inhibitor therapy is associated with significant symptoms and reduced quality of life for patients. This can contribute to dose delays, reductions and discontinuation of anti-cancer treatment," said Anisha Patel, MD, professor of dermatology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. "These results demonstrate that LUT014 may produce meaningful improvements in EGFRI-induced acneiform rash while supporting patients' ability to remain on their prescribed anti-cancer therapy. Particularly encouraging is the durability of the observed benefit beyond the 28-day treatment period and the activity seen even in the presence of baseline antibiotic use. LUT014's mechanism-directed approach is designed to reverse the suppressed MAP kinase signaling that initiates this toxicity rather than block the EGFRI drug binding or only targeting the downstream inflammatory response."

"We are encouraged by the positive results of our Phase 2 clinical trial in EGFRI-induced acneiform rash in terms of efficacy, safety and tolerability of LUT014," stated Professor Antoni Ribas, M.D., Ph.D., Founder and Board Member of Lutris Pharma. "On the strength of these data, Lutris plans to initiate a Phase 2 study of LUT014 0.1% Gel in daraxonrasib-induced acneiform rash in patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. Because LUT014 is a mechanistic drug that reverses the suppressed MAPK signaling, it has the potential to treat acneiform rash induced by other MAPK-pathway inhibitors. Lutris is exploring opportunities to study LUT014 with other MAPK-pathway inhibitors through partnerships and independently."

LUT014 completed a Phase 2 double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized, multisite study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of two strengths of LUT014 Gel topically applied once a day for 28 days in colorectal cancer (CRC) patients who developed CTCAE Grade 2 or non-infected Grade 3 EGFRI-induced acneiform lesions after receiving cetuximab or panitumumab (NCT04759664). The trial enrolled 118 adult CRC patients who received LUT014 0.1% gel (n=39), LUT014 0.03% gel (n=40), or placebo gel (n=39), applied once daily for 28 days, followed by a 28-day observation period. The composite primary endpoint, Treatment Success, was assessed at Day 28 and required at least a one-grade improvement in CTCAE v5.0 acneiform rash or at least a five-point improvement in patient symptoms as measured by the first 13 questions of the skin-specific FACT-EGFRI-18 score, together with the absence of Treatment Failure. Treatment Failure included EGFRI dose reduction, delay or discontinuation due to rash; initiation or escalation of antibiotics for rash; or study-drug discontinuation due to worsening rash.

About MAPK inhibitor-Induced Rash

Inhibitors of the MAP Kinase (MAPK) pathway are a class of drugs used to treat certain cancers. EGFR inhibitors are among the targeted therapies that inhibit MAPK pathway signaling. EGFR is a receptor on the surface of cells which is expressed in many normal epithelial tissues, including skin and the EGFR signaling pathway is critical in regulating growth, survival, proliferation, and differentiation of cells. B-Raf is a protein that is a key regulator of the MAPK pathway. Oncogenic EGFR constitutively signals through the MAPK pathway, leading to uncontrolled cell proliferation in various human cancers, including colorectal, lung, head and neck, urinary bladder, pancreatic and breast cancers.

EGFR inhibitors can block the EGFR signal responsible for cell growth and are increasingly being used both as primary therapy as well as in patients who have progressed on prior chemotherapy treatments. Although effective as anti-cancer therapy leading to tumor shrinkage, EGFR inhibitors lead to many adverse reactions, with the majority of patients experiencing dermatological side effects typically manifested as a papulopustular skin rash, also known as acneiform lesions, which can impact quality of life and affect adherence to therapy.

About LUT014

LUT014 is a proprietary, first-in-class, novel small molecule, topical B-Raf inhibitor designed to reduce or prevent worsening of dermatological toxicities caused by anti-cancer drugs that target the MAPK pathway through paradoxical MAPK reactivation. LUT014 is formulated as a gel and designed to be applied to the affected areas of the skin. When a MAPK inhibitor that acts upstream of B-Raf is used for cancer treatment (e.g., EGFR inhibitors and RAS inhibitors), the MAPK pathway reduces or stops signaling. This causes cell death in both the cancer cells and normal cells. While the death of cancer cells is the desired effect, the death of non-cancer cells, such as those of the skin, is not desired and leads to side effects such as acneiform rash. In cells where the MAPK is inhibited, when the B-Raf protein is also inhibited, the MAPK signaling becomes reactivated. This phenomenon is recognized as the paradoxical effect of B-Raf Inhibitors. LUT014 gel harnesses this paradoxical effect to rescue the skin cells. Due to its overwhelmingly local penetration, LUT014's activity is restricted to the skin. To date, LUT014 has shown favorable safety and clinical benefit in a completed a Phase 2 clinical trial in metastatic colorectal cancer patients with EGFR inhibitor-induced acneiform lesions.

About Lutris Pharma

Lutris Pharma is a privately owned clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company with a mission to improve the quality of life and drug adherence for patients who are being treated with certain anti-cancer drugs. Lutris Pharma's key asset is LUT014, a proprietary, first-in-class, small molecule, topical B-Raf inhibitor formulated as a gel and designed to be applied to affected areas of the skin in patients treated with certain MAPK inhibitors, such as EGFR inhibitors or RAS inhibitors, which causes most patients to experience dermatological toxicities.

Brogidirsen (NS-089/NCNP-02) 5-Year Clinical Trial Data for the Treatment of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy Presented at 2026 World Muscle Society Congress
Image File
Original HTML

PARAMUS, N.J., Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- NS Pharma, Inc. (Headquarters: Paramus, New Jersey; President: Yukiteru Sugiyama), a biopharmaceutical leader in rare disease and subsidiary of Nippon Shinyaku Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kyoto, Japan; President: Toru Nakai), announced today that the National Center of Neurology and Psychiatry (NCNP, Kodaira City; President, Kazuyuki Nakagome) presented 5-year efficacy and safety data from the open-label extension of an investigator-initiated clinical trial of brogidirsen (NS-089/NCNP-02) for the treatment of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) at the 31st annual International Congress of the World Muscle Society held in Hiroshima, Japan from September 29 to October 3, 2026.

Brogidirsen is an antisense oligonucleotide co-discovered by Nippon Shinyaku and NCNP as an investigational therapy for DMD patients with dystrophin gene mutations that are amenable to exon 44 skipping.

"We are excited by the longer-term data demonstrating the potential for brogidirsen to slow disease progression in DMD patients amenable to exon 44 skipping," said NS Pharma President, Yukiteru Sugiyama, Ph.D. "It is important for us to continue investigating these therapeutic innovations in hopes of providing patients with additional treatment options and renewed hope."

The presented data are based on the investigator-initiated clinical trial conducted by NCNP and its extension study conducted by Nippon Shinyaku. These studies evaluated the efficacy and safety of brogidirsen in 6 participants who received weekly IV dosing.

Findings include:

- Maintenance of motor function – Evaluation demonstrated maintenance or improvement of motor function in participants who remained ambulant during the course of the study. Further, upper limb function was maintained in all participants including those who became non-ambulant during the course of the study.

- Acceptable safety profile – After 5 years of receiving brogidirsen, no serious or severe adverse events, or anaphylaxis related to long-term brogidirsen administration, were reported, and there were no discontinuations.

- Comparison to natural history data – In several measures, the observed functional outcomes compared favorably with the natural history of DMD.

These results suggest the potential of brogidirsen to slow DMD disease progression in patients who are amenable to exon 44 skipping. The extension trial is ongoing to investigate the efficacy and safety of long-term administration. Further, a global Phase II study of brogidirsen is being conducted by Nippon Shinyaku and its subsidiary NS Pharma. Learn more at ClinicalTrials.gov.
