International Brain Health Coalition Launches to Put Proven Strategies Into Action

Global leaders in medicine, life sciences, technology, finance, and the United Nations unite to move brain health evidence into homes, communities, and health systems: transforming evidence into equity.

New multisector coalition, coordinated by the Atria Research and Global Health Institute (ARGHI), launches the 30×30×50 Brain Challenge to cut stroke incidence and expand cognitive screening in 30 cities by 2031

NEW YORK, Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The International Brain Health Coalition (IBC) launched today, bringing together a multisector, multidisciplinary global community to turn brain health science into equitable, real-world delivery. Its first commitment is the 30×30×50 Brain Challenge: by 2031, 30 cities will work to reduce stroke by 30 percent and increase cognitive screening in primary care by 50 percent.

Coordinated by the Atria Research and Global Health Institute (ARGHI), the Coalition unites patients, leaders from across sectors, and multilateral institutions, including the United Nations, behind a single mandate: to develop, validate, and scale implementation models for the early detection, intervention, and prevention of cognitive impairment, dementia, and stroke across primary care and community settings globally. Rather than generating new evidence alone, the Coalition focuses on putting what science already knows into programs, policies, and daily habits that reach people where they live, work, and age, not only where they receive care.

Neurological and cardiometabolic conditions are among the leading causes of ill health and disability worldwide, and their economic toll on families, and health systems is immense and unsustainable. The modifiable risk factors behind stroke and dementia are well established. The science for prevention is clear, what has been missing is the infrastructure to act on it.

"We are currently facing an incalculable toll on human suffering and an enormous drain on the global economy," said Dr. David Dodick, Chair of the IBC, Chief Science and Medical Officer at the Atria Health Institute, and Co-Director of the Atria Academy of Science and Medicine. "We have the science to prevent this reality. We don't have a knowledge gap; we have an execution failure, and IBC was built to close it."

Today, IBC collaborators include UN Women; Thrive Global; Western University; the Western Institute for Neuroscience; the AI-Mind Institute (Norway); Eli Lilly and Company; Bristol Myers Squibb; the Royal Bank of Canada; the American Heart Association; the Women's Alzheimer's Movement; Microsoft; NeuroCentury; Dr. Regina Benjamin, the 18th United States Surgeon General; Gen. Peter Chiarelli, former Vice Chief of Staff of the United States Army and former CEO of One Mind; Dr. Abdulkareem Al Olama, Founder of Sultan Al Olama Medical Centers (Dubai); and more.

"Extraordinary progress is happening across brain health, neurological sciences, and policy," said Khadija Rejto, Vice Chair of IBC and Chair of Global Health at the Atria Research and Global Health Institute. "Cardiovascular, metabolic, and endocrine research is reshaping how we understand the brain. IBC's role is to connect those efforts and bring brain health into the places where life actually happens, turning shared knowledge into better brain health for all."

The IBC's inaugural project is the 30×30×50 Brain Challenge: 30 global cities pledging a 30% reduction in stroke incidence and a 50% increase in primary-care cognitive screening by 2031, establishing a validated, replicable model that any city, health system, or country can adopt. IBC's two launch cities are London, Ontario, Canada, and Oslo, Norway.

London, Ontario, Canada is home to the Coalition's flagship CanDo Brain Health Implementation Initiative, a two-year trial enrolling up to 800 participants in a scalable AI-and-human coaching model targeting blood pressure, activity, sleep, and other proven drivers of cognitive decline, anchored by the Western Institute for Neuroscience at Western University.

"Brain health is the foundation of individual and societal well-being, and we have known for decades how to protect it. What we have lacked is a way to deliver that knowledge to entire populations," said Dr. Vladimir Hachinski of the Western Institute for Neuroscience, Western University. "The International Brain Health Coalition is the first initiative built to do precisely that. It is fitting that this work begins in London, where integral brain health was first defined as a discipline, and it is my hope that what we prove here will benefit every community in the world."

Oslo, Norway, anchors the Coalition's European launch through the AI-Mind research environment at Oslo University Hospital and the University of Oslo, led by Dr. Ira Haraldsen, PhD, MD, together with BrainSymph, combining multimodal AI, cognitive assessment, EEG, blood-based biomarkers, and longitudinal home monitoring to identify individuals at increased risk of cognitive decline before overt dementia develops.

"The Oslo demonstration will extend this foundation into a practical, scalable model for precision brain health prevention and early intervention, linking population and primary care screening with multimodal risk stratification and personalized follow up, while emerging Virtual Human Twin approaches investigate how brain, cardiovascular, metabolic, inflammatory, and behavioural factors interact over time to reveal modifiable risk trajectories before irreversible neurological disease develops," said Dr. Ira Haraldsen.

This pairing of Europe's most advanced predictive brain health science with a proven translational pathway makes Oslo a powerful demonstration environment for the IBC and creates a direct bridge to major European research, innovation, regulatory, and commercialization programs.

Quotations from IBC collaborators:

- Dr. Regina Benjamin M.D., 18th United States Surgeon General: "Access to scientific evidence and treatment should not depend on where a person lives or what resources a community has. The International Brain Health Coalition is building a population health model designed for everyone, turning what we know about prevention into care that can reach every community."

- Ambassador Sima Bahous, Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of UN Women: "Dementia and Alzheimer's disease are not gender-neutral. Women represent nearly two thirds of those living with Alzheimer's and the overwhelming majority of those who care for them, often at the cost of their own health, income, and opportunity. That is why this effort must be viewed through a women's health lens from the very beginning, not as an afterthought. The International Brain Health Coalition has embedded women's brain health into its foundation, and UN Women is proud to contribute to the work of a coalition determined to ensure that the benefits of prevention reach the women who bear the greatest burden of this disease."

- Arianna Huffington, Founder and CEO of Thrive Global: "The science is clear that the daily behaviors protecting our brains, from sleep and movement to nutrition and connection, are built through small, sustained steps, not willpower alone. With Thrive Global we have built a digital platform grounded in the science of behavior change that can deliver personalized nudges and Microsteps to millions of people at the moments they matter most. That reach is what makes a project of this ambition feasible. For the first time, we can meet people where they are, at population scale, and help them turn what science knows about brain health into what they actually do every day."

- Jennifer Oleksiw, Group Vice President, U.S. Neuroscience & Global Commercial Innovation Officer, Eli Lilly and Company: "Alzheimer's disease brain changes can begin up to 20 years before symptoms appear. Acting early can help preserve brain health, but our health care systems aren't set up for early intervention and detection. The International Brain Health Coalition is a way to bring risk factor education into routine primary care and assess how blood-based biomarkers could support it."

- Wendy Short Bartie, Executive Vice President, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Bristol Myers Squibb: "Brain health is one of the defining health challenges of our time, and no single organization can address it alone. We have an opportunity to bring together science, health care, technology, policy, and community partners around a shared goal: helping people maintain healthier brains throughout their lives. What makes the International Brain Health Coalition so important is its focus on turning knowledge into action and building practical models that can expand access, improve outcomes, and reach more people in the communities where they live."

- Maria Shriver, Founder of the Women's Alzheimer's Movement at Cleveland Clinic: "I have spent more than two decades sounding the alarm that Alzheimer's disease is an urgent women's health issue, long before brain health entered the public's consciousness. I founded the Women's Alzheimer's Movement and launched the first clinic in this country devoted to preventing Alzheimer's in women at Cleveland Clinic because I believed prevention was possible when almost no one else did. What the International Brain Health Coalition is doing is what I have been fighting for all along: taking prevention out of the margins and building it into everyday care. This is an enormous accomplishment and move forward, and women, who carry the greatest burden of this disease, stand to gain the most."

- Dr. Mitchell Elkind, Chief Science Officer for Brain Health and Stroke at the American Heart Association (AHA): "The goals of the IBC initiative align well with those of the American Heart Association.

BERKELEY, Calif., Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Once Upon a Farm PBC (NYSE: OFRM), the mission-driven brand known for bringing organic, farm-fresh snacks and meals to families, is expanding its refrigerated pouch portfolio with the launch of Electrolyte Blends, bringing organic hydration to the busy, active stretch of childhood when kids need it most. Drinking fluids is a direct way to meet immediate hydration needs while water-rich foods offer a more gradual, complementary source that also delivers vitamins, fiber, and natural electrolytes that fluids alone don't provide. Once Upon a Farm's organic Electrolyte Blends were built around this idea: using real food to support hydration and nutrition, rather than treating them as separate goals.

Once Upon a Farm's organic Electrolyte Blends are crafted with real food and ingredients that naturally provide electrolytes: juicy fruits and veggies, coconut water, and sea salt. Designed to help support daily hydration and electrolyte balance**, these refreshing fruit & veggie purée pouches are available in three tasty kid-approved flavor combinations, including 4oz single-serve pouches and a four-pack offering. Flavors include:

"As a parent of three older kids, I've seen firsthand the importance that electrolytes play in kids' busy lifestyles during the school year, yet many kid-specific options miss the mark on providing key nutrients that children need during this stage of life," said Cassandra Curtis, Co-founder and Chief Innovation Officer at Once Upon a Farm. "Our new Electrolyte Blends fill that gap to meet the needs of school-age kids, providing them with a real-food, replenishing snack designed to fit into everyday routines."

Nearly 50% of parents in the U.S. are looking for electrolytes when buying products for kids between the ages of 6-12, according to SPINS, 2024 Kids' Beverage Attributes Survey. "I often talk with young athletes and their parents about ways to support hydration from sources beyond drinks," said Taylor Morrison, Pediatric Sports Dietitian and Once Upon a Farm Expert. "While young active kids don't need all the electrolytes that we see collegiate or professional athletes need, it is still important that they stay hydrated and get key electrolytes to feel and play their best. Once Upon a Farm's Electrolyte Blends have ingredients specifically chosen for their natural electrolytes, which make them even more helpful for active young children and athletes. And they do it in a way where kids will love the taste, and parents can feel good about the ingredients."

Flex Announces $2.0 Billion Convertible Preferred Investment into Axiom Led by General Catalyst with Koch Equity Development
Image File
Original HTML

Transaction Highlights:

- Strategic investment from General Catalyst, Koch Equity Development, and co-investors to support long-term growth at Axiom, Flex's Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment

- $2.0 billion convertible preferred equity investment is at an initial enterprise value for Axiom of $37.5 billion

- Flex intends to separate Axiom into an independent, publicly traded company in the first quarter of calendar 2027

AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Flex (NASDAQ: FLEX) announced today that it has entered into an agreement to sell $2.0 billion of shares of Series A Convertible Preferred Stock of Axiom Solutions International, Inc. (Axiom), Flex's Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment, to funds affiliated with General Catalyst, Koch Equity Development, and co-investors. Through this strategic investment, Axiom will be positioned to further capitalize on the growing AI infrastructure demand as it prepares to operate as an independent company. Pro-forma for the separation, the investment will be solely in Axiom.

"This investment provides equity funding for our recently announced acquisition of EPC Power and will allow Axiom to have a strong balance sheet as we prepare to stand up as an independent, publicly traded company squarely focused on the power, thermal, and compute infrastructure the AI era demands," said Revathi Advaithi, Chief Executive Officer of Flex and expected Chief Executive Officer of Axiom. "General Catalyst brings deep conviction in applied AI and a long track record partnering with companies building category-defining leaders, and we're glad to have them partner with us as Axiom enters its next chapter. This transaction reflects the value we see in Axiom's business today and will translate into lasting value for Flex shareholders as the separation comes together."

"Axiom sits at the center of the power and infrastructure buildout that AI demands, and we've been impressed by the team's execution and the scale of the opportunity ahead," said Hemant Taneja, Chief Executive Officer, General Catalyst. "We look forward to partnering with Axiom for the long term as it becomes an independent company and continues to invest in the technology and capacity this next phase of growth requires."

"AI diffusion requires modern power solutions at scale," said Madhu Namburi, Managing Director, General Catalyst. "Under Revathi's leadership, we believe Axiom will become the defining power company of the AI era."

As part of the investment, General Catalyst will have the right to nominate one director to Axiom's board of directors, following completion of the separation.

The Convertible Preferred Stock pays a dividend of 10.0% per annum in cash prior to the separation, stepping down to 6.0% per annum in cash or 7.0% per annum if paid in kind following the separation, subject to increases after the fifth anniversary of the separation and certain other adjustments.

Net proceeds from the investment will be used to fund a portion of the purchase price of Axiom's pending acquisition of EPC Power, to repay any equity bridge or other intermediate financing incurred in connection with the acquisition, to pay dividends on the Convertible Preferred Stock, or for general corporate purposes. Flex separately has secured committed term loan financing for the balance of the EPC Power acquisition.

The investment is expected to close following receipt of customary regulatory approvals and satisfaction of other customary closing conditions.

Flex previously announced its intention to separate its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into an independent, publicly traded company, Axiom, which is expected to be completed in the first quarter of calendar 2027, subject to the satisfaction of customary conditions.

GETCHOICE! Reports 220% Growth in Managed Utility Spend as Enterprise Utility Intelligence Becomes a Board-Level Priority
Image File
Original HTML

Company's expansion outpaces a utility sector already seeing a 173% surge in strategic dealmaking, as AI-driven power demand pushes utility spend into the center of enterprise financial strategy

HOUSTON, Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- GETCHOICE!, the enterprise utility intelligence platform, today reported that its core business grew at a 50% run-rate revenue pace and 220% growth in total spend under management over the past two years, alongside 130% year-over-year net revenue retention. Spend managed on the platform grew more than 20% in the most recent quarter alone.

The growth places GETCHOICE! at the leading edge of a utility-management category being reshaped by accelerating demand and tightening capacity. In electricity, that shift is already visible in the capital markets: according to PwC, announced U.S. power and utilities M&A totaled $216 billion in the six months ended May 2026 — up 173% year over year. But electricity is only the most visible example of a much broader trend. The enterprise utility system includes natural gas, steam, water and wastewater, waste and recycling, telecom and internet, drag-reducing agents and other essential recurring services. Together, they represent a large, complex and mission-critical spend category that deserves its own operating infrastructure.

"Enterprises are no longer asking whether the utility bill was paid," said Kiki Dikmen, Chief Executive Officer of GETCHOICE!. "They want to know why spend moved, where the exposure sits, and what to do next. Our growth is the customer response to that shift. Once a company connects its utility data and workflows on one platform, it doesn't stay at the first use case; it expands."

Growth Driven by Deepening Customer Relationships, Not Just New Logos

GETCHOICE! said its 130% net revenue retention rate (a measure of how much existing customers expand their usage over time) is the clearest signal behind its growth. The company said customers are consistently adding locations, utility categories and spend to the platform after initial deployment, rather than utilities management remaining a single point solution.

One particular Fortune 500 National Energy Company alone highlights the pattern and its scale. For this company's portfolio alone GETCHOICE! platform processes approximately 17,000 utility invoices per month across more than 1,500 suppliers and roughly $700 million in annual utility spend. Centralizing that workflow on GETCHOICE!'s platform reduced late fees to zero and gave the organization a single, reliable view of its portfolio.

A Category Moving From the Back Office to the Boardroom

GETCHOICE! points to structural forces in the broader market as the backdrop for its growth. As utility spend becomes larger, more volatile and more consequential to enterprise financial performance, GETCHOICE! said finance, procurement and operations leaders are increasingly treating it as a strategic, board-level category rather than a back-office expense.

"For most of my career, the first question in this category was how to lower utility costs," Dikmen said. "That still matters. But today the more important question is whether a company understands its utility portfolio well enough to control the risk, the data and the decisions around it. That's the problem we built GETCHOICE! to solve, and it's why the platform keeps growing inside the customers who adopt it."

There is a race underway to connect more of the utility value chain within a single operating environment. "The advantage will not come from adding one more feature. It will come from connecting data, automation, payments, procurement and expertise well enough that customers can make better decisions faster," Dikmen concluded.

About GETCHOICE!

GETCHOICE! is an enterprise utility intelligence platform that centralizes utility data, contracts, invoices and payments for large, multi-site organizations. The platform combines AI-enabled invoice capture and validation, ERP and AP integrations, analytics, payment automation, security and ESG reporting across electricity, natural gas, water, waste, telecom, internet and other recurring utility categories. GETCHOICE! is headquartered in Houston, Texas. For more information, visit getchoice.com.

A new Thinglish video from the film's choreographer and a nationwide Minutes of Movement contest with movie tickets on the line bring the fun of Warner Bros. Pictures Animation's The Cat in the Hat into classrooms and homes before it hits theaters November 6th.

ATLANTA, Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- GoNoodle, the educational movement platform used by K–12 teachers and parents, today announced a partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures Animation's The Cat in the Hat, ahead of the new film's release in theaters on November 6. The partnership brings the movie's signature mischief and movement to kids everywhere with a brand-new video, Let's Speak Thinglish!, and a nationwide Minutes of Movement contest that rewards classrooms and families for getting active with GoNoodle.

In the new animated movie, the Things don't use words. They communicate through movement and body percussion, a language known as Thinglish. Let's Speak Thinglish! joins a robust library of Dr. Seuss GoNoodle videos on the Dr. Seuss channel on GoNoodle.com and teaches kids how to "speak" it. Created in partnership with the film's choreographer, Christopher Scott, the video guides students step by step through the Thinglish words for "hello," "goodbye," "yes," and "no," then challenges them to say "My name is…" and create their very own names in Thinglish.

GoNoodle's kid hosts lead the learning, with clips from the film woven throughout. When the lesson wraps, kids are invited to take Thinglish home and teach their families, so the fun of the movie goes with them long after the video ends. Teachers can play it in the classroom, and families can play it anywhere, all month long.

"Kids have a special connection to The Cat in the Hat, and it was pure joy to bring that spirit to GoNoodle," said Eric Covert, Chief Creative Officer at GoNoodle. "Working with the film's choreographer to build Let's Speak Thinglish! reminded us how powerful movement is as a language. Watching kids light up as they learn their first Thinglish words and invent their own names is exactly what GoNoodle is about: getting kids moving, laughing and learning together. We can't wait to see classrooms and living rooms all over the country speaking Thinglish."

To celebrate the film's release, The Cat in the Hat has also partnered with GoNoodle on a nationwide Minutes of Movement contest. Classrooms and homes across the United States can compete to log the most minutes of movement, where every minute of GoNoodle watched counts as one minute of movement.

The prizes are built for the big screen. The winning classroom will receive a family pack of four movie tickets for every student and the teacher so the whole class can see The Cat in the Hat together in their local theater. The families with the most minutes of movement will win family packs of tickets.

The contest runs from October 5th through November 1st. Winners will be announced November 4th, just in time for the movie's launch.

"The Cat in the Hat is a story kids already love, and Thinglish gives them a way to step inside it," said Sarah Halloran, Chief Marketing Officer at GoNoodle. "Teachers get a ready-made brain break that kids are excited about, families get a reason to move together at home, and every minute counts toward a shot at movie tickets. It's a month-long celebration that turns the anticipation of a movie into movement."

Expand Energy Selects Thoughtworks to Scale AI Across the Enterprise

Engagement combines AI strategy, enterprise AI platform development and production deployment to help Expand Energy scale AI across the business.

CHICAGO, Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Thoughtworks, a global technology consultancy that integrates design, engineering and artificial intelligence (AI) to drive digital innovation, today announced that Expand Energy (NASDAQ: EXE), the largest independent natural gas producer in North America, has selected the consultancy as its strategic partner to design and build an enterprise-wide AI capability. The multi-phase engagement covers AI strategy, use case prioritization, machine learning (ML) platform implementation, and the delivery of a production-ready solution aligned to Expand Energy's long-term strategic priorities.

Expand Energy operates across exploration and production as well as energy marketing, areas with significant opportunity to unlock value through AI. Seeking to move beyond isolated pilots toward a coordinated, enterprise-scale approach, Expand Energy selected Thoughtworks to help connect strategy, platform development and delivery in a single program. The company's objective is to identify the highest-value AI opportunities across the business, build the capabilities required to support them, and deploy a production solution by the end of 2026.

"AI has the potential to create value across multiple areas of our business, but realizing that value requires more than individual projects," said Josh Viets, executive vice president and chief operating officer at Expand Energy. "We selected Thoughtworks because of its ability to connect strategy, technology and delivery in a single engagement. Together, we're building the foundations needed to identify, deploy and scale AI solutions that support our long-term business objectives."

As organizations move beyond AI experimentation, many are finding that continued success depends on the underlying platforms, governance and operating models that support adoption at scale. The engagement is designed to help Expand Energy build those foundations while delivering measurable business outcomes.

Thoughtworks will lead the engagement across three connected workstreams:

- AI strategy and opportunity prioritization: Thoughtworks will work with business and technical stakeholders across Expand Energy to identify, evaluate and prioritize high-value AI opportunities aligned to the company's strategic objectives.

- Enterprise AI foundations: Thoughtworks will design and begin implementing the data, platform and governance capabilities needed to support AI adoption at scale across the organization.

- Solution delivery and enablement: Thoughtworks will build and deploy a high priority AI solution, establish an operating model for ongoing AI delivery, and enable Expand Energy teams to adopt and scale AI responsibly.

Unlike traditional AI programs that separate planning from implementation, Thoughtworks' approach combines strategy and delivery from the outset to create AI that works. Early-stage proof-of-concept development generates real-world insight into data readiness, integration requirements, adoption challenges and business value, allowing the roadmap and operating model to evolve based on evidence rather than assumptions.

"This engagement reflects a challenge we're seeing across all industries: organizations want to move from isolated AI experiments to agentic AI that delivers business value," said Manish Sateeja, senior vice president and head of automotive and manufacturing for North America at Thoughtworks. "Expand Energy has the leadership commitment, domain expertise and ambition to make that transition. This work creates the operational backbone required to scale agentic AI directly into business operations and deliver value."

The engagement draws on Thoughtworks' track record delivering AI strategy and enterprise ML platform programs across data-intensive industries including energy, financial services, life sciences, and global market research. The firm brings experience spanning end-to-end AI capability buildouts, MLOps platform implementations, responsible AI governance, and large-scale workforce AI enablement.

EPAM Unveils New Frontier AI Service, Bridging the Enterprise Intelligence Gap for GenAI and Autonomous Agents
Image File

New offering leverages EPAM's decades of enterprise engineering depth and established AI lab partnerships to supply advanced data and evaluation services

NEWTOWN, Pa., Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- EPAM Systems, Inc. (NYSE: EPAM) today announced the launch of a new strategic offering dedicated to powering the next generation of frontier AI models. Positioned as a foundational intelligence layer for the AI ecosystem, EPAM's services address a critical industry bottleneck: enabling frontier AI models to execute complex, specialized enterprise workflows more reliably.

While early generative AI models were trained on broad, publicly available data to master general language and coding, the industry has entered a new era. As adoption accelerates, the focus has shifted toward complex enterprise workflows, multi-step agentic execution and specialized vertical reasoning that require vetted domain knowledge. By leveraging its deep, multi-decade experience in designing, integrating and maintaining complex enterprise workflows, EPAM will offer specialized competencies in high-fidelity data generation, rigorous model evaluation and the creation of custom reinforcement learning (RL) environments.

"As frontier AI shifts from general experimentation to complex enterprise workflows, the demand has fundamentally moved from raw compute to specialized domain intelligence," said Elaina Shekhter, Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer at EPAM. "Our new offering bridges that critical gap by pairing our decades of deep engineering heritage with our established Frontier AI partnerships, uniquely positioning us to capture this massive, high-value market. We aren't just participating in the GenAI wave, we're actively building infrastructure that makes enterprise-grade autonomy possible."

These capabilities are further anchored by EPAM's established partnerships with the leading frontier AI labs, including Anthropic, OpenAI, Google and Microsoft. With one of the largest AI engineering initiatives in the industry, EPAM has trained and invested in nearly 10,000 Claude-certified architects, 3,000+ OpenAI-certified forward-deployed engineers (FDEs), and 5,000+ Gemini-certified specialists to-date. This certified proficiency across major model ecosystems, combined with firsthand insight into where models succeed and struggle in enterprise deployments, provides labs with the trusted, high-caliber collaboration required to accelerate model development and drive enterprises from pilot to measurable business outcomes.

A cornerstone of the service is the development of RL environments that support scenario simulation. These sophisticated, controlled virtual environments mirror complex enterprise systems and workflows, enabling developers to rigorously stress-test multi-turn interactions, reasoning and tool use before production while providing secure, closed-loop feedback for reinforcement learning and ongoing model improvement. According to research from Gartner® in its April 2026 report, titled Emerging Tech: AI Race: Simulation Supercharges Agent Evaluation and Self-Learning Loops for AI Agents, by 2028, 99% of agent platform providers will offer simulation environments, up from less than 25% in 2026.

Fairway to Fun, HBCU Invitational, Women's Day and other signature programs extend the tournament's purpose beyond the course

CARY, N.C., Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Championship golf takes center stage Oct. 12-18 as the 2026 SAS Championship returns to Prestonwood Country Club, showcasing a weeklong celebration of sport, technology, education and community impact. The tournament brings together a celebrated field of players, thousands of fans and signature experiences including the HBCU Invitational, Women's Day, Folds of Honor Friday, a 5K road race, Food Truck Friday and the family-oriented Fairway to Fun. Together, these programs reinforce SAS' long-standing tradition of supporting education and community programs throughout the Triangle. This year's community initiative will again focus on the YMCA Annual Campaign, helping to fund their STEM programs.

For SAS, the Championship is more than a signature golf event. It reflects the company's long-standing role as a business and community partner in Cary and across the Triangle, bringing together sports, technology, education and local engagement in ways that create lasting value beyond tournament week.

Among the highlights of championship week is the return of Fairway to Fun on Friday, Oct. 16, from 4 to 7:30 p.m., extending the tournament's community impact into an evening built for families, students and fans. The family-friendly event brings back an AI experience zone packed with hands-on activities and giveaways, and every family that completes the course walks away with a free one-week YMCA membership pass. A rotating lineup of local food vendors – among them BareBakedPizza, Big Mike's BBQ, BO's Kitchen, Cousins Maine Lobster, Holy Fries, MoMoMandu and Two Roosters – will be on site. The dazzling fireworks finale is back again to bring a festive end to the night.

New this year, fans can also engage with the tournament through Fairway Forecast, a mobile web application developed by SAS. Powered by SAS analytics and AI, the experience provides player insights, tournament trends and an interactive chat feature that allows fans to explore competition data in real time. Visitors can track live results, explore the SAS Index, a proprietary analytics rating that measures projected player competitiveness, and make predictions on holes 17 and 18 to compete for prizes and leaderboard recognition. Fans can join the experience by scanning the Fairway Forecast QR code available at the tournament and through official SAS Championship channels.

"As SAS celebrates its 50th anniversary, we're proud that the Championship continues to bring people together around golf, community and the power of innovation," said Jenn Chase, SAS Chief Marketing Officer. "For decades, the tournament has reflected SAS' commitment to the Triangle – not only as a global data and AI company headquartered here, but as a dedicated community partner investing in students, families and future leaders. Fairway to Fun brings that commitment to life by helping students and families explore AI, data and emerging technologies in hands-on, engaging ways."

The SAS Championship and its fans have helped direct more than $6 million to youth education and community programs through the YMCA of the Triangle, including the Y Learning Intervention program. This amount includes SAS' long-standing annual donation to support Y Learning Intervention, with $220,000 for the 2026 event, continuing SAS' commitment to expanding STEM opportunities for students in the region.

"For years, the SAS Championship has been a powerful force for good across our community, and the unwavering support of SAS and tournament fans continues to create life-changing opportunities for the youth and families we serve," said Kim Keith, Vice President of Youth Development and Operations at YMCA of the Triangle.

The 2026 SAS Championship will include a variety of programs that connect the tournament with the broader community, extending its impact across education, leadership and service. Highlights of this year's charitable and educational efforts include:

- HBCU Invitational (Oct. 17-18): Now in its fifth year, the tournament welcomes 15 teams from 12 historically Black colleges and universities competing for $30,000 in honoraria from SAS for their golf programs. Students also attend a Career Day on Oct. 16th at SAS headquarters in Cary for networking, mentorship and career exploration.

- Women's Day (Oct. 13): This 13th annual event offers inspiring sessions on health, mindset and leadership under the theme "Redefining Luck." The program will explore how today's women leaders are navigating change, embracing risk, and creating their own paths forward.

- Folds of Honor Friday (Oct. 16): A moving tribute to service members and first responders, featuring ceremonies, patriotic displays and 13 scholarships awarded to local students. SAS also contributes $30,000 to Folds of Honor to fund life-changing scholarships for families of Americaʼs fallen or disabled service members and first responders.

Tickets are available now for fans to experience championship golf, family-friendly events and community impact throughout the week.

Breaker Launches Newsletter MCP + API for AI Workflows and RealClick™ for Verified Metrics

As automated systems increasingly shape both newsletter engagement data and campaign execution, Breaker is addressing two emerging risks: knowing when an interaction is genuinely human and maintaining control over what AI can do inside a marketing workflow.

AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Email marketers may be making performance decisions with click data that has little to do with actual reader behavior. Omeda found that 87.3% of all recorded click activity across 1.77 billion emails processed on its platform in the first quarter of 2026 came from nonhuman sources. Even newsletters, which had the lowest bot share among major high-volume email categories, recorded 82.4% of clicks as bot-driven. At the same time, artificial intelligence is moving beyond content generation and gaining access to live marketing workflows, raising questions about how much authority AI should have over campaigns and customer data.

Breaker, a newsletter platform focused on B2B audience growth and engagement, has launched RealClick™ and its Model Context Protocol (MCP) server and application programming interface (API) to address those problems. RealClick™ filters automated click activity from campaign reporting, while the MCP server and API allow compatible AI tools to work with newsletter data and workflows while maintaining human approval. "Automation is only useful if marketers can trust the signal and stay in control of the outcome," said Ben Billups, Founder and CEO of Breaker. "That means knowing when engagement is actually human and making sure AI can assist the work without taking over the final decision."

Automation Is Making Newsletter Signals Harder to Trust

Email security systems routinely inspect links to protect users from phishing and malicious content. Microsoft's Safe Links, for example, scans URLs as part of its email protection process. Those safeguards are necessary, but the automated activity they generate can appear in campaign reporting.

That can distort the metric marketers use to evaluate content, identify engaged prospects, and report results to advertisers or sponsors. A higher click count does not necessarily mean more people interacted with the newsletter.

"Security scanners will click on links several times, and those machine-generated clicks are not real engagement," said Billups. "Separating those automated interactions from reader activity provides a more accurate picture".

Cleaner Signals, Controlled Automation

Billups said RealClick™ and MCP server and API were designed around those two areas where automation can create problems: the data marketers rely on, and the actions software is allowed to take.

RealClick™ already runs automatically across Breaker campaigns, evaluating clicks for signs of automated activity and separating those interactions from the engagement marketers use to assess reader behavior. Campaign reports show total clicks alongside RealClick™ data, giving teams a clear basis for evaluating content, identifying engaged prospects, running A/B testing, and reporting performance.

The MCP server and API extend that control into AI-assisted workflows. Compatible AI tools can draft campaigns, retrieve performance reports, build audience segments, and work with contacts and engagement data without requiring marketers to move information manually between systems.

Billups explained that the tools have guardrails to keep human autonomy throughout the whole process. AI models and API keys cannot send campaigns or delete contacts. Campaign drafts return to Breaker's editor for review and final approval before anything reaches audiences. "You should be able to ask what worked, pull the relevant data, and prepare the next campaign," Billups said. "That is where AI becomes genuinely useful in the newsletter workflow."

Breaker Pushes Further Into AI-First Email

RealClick™ and the MCP server and API are part of a broader product direction for Breaker as it expands beyond traditional newsletter and email service provider and builds more AI directly into the platform. "Our development team is shipping quickly, testing new capabilities with customers and getting them into the product once we know they work," Billups said. "That gives us room to keep expanding what an email platform can actually do."
