NEW YORK, Oct. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Faruqi & Faruqi, LLP, a leading national securities law firm, is investigating potential claims against XTI Aerospace, Inc. (""XTI Aerospace" or the "Company") (NASDAQ: XTIA) and reminds investors of the October 27, 2026 deadline to seek the role of lead plaintiff in a federal securities class action that has been filed against the Company.

Faruqi & Faruqi is a leading national securities law firm with offices in New York, Pennsylvania, California and Georgia. The firm has recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for investors since its founding in 1995. See www.faruqilaw.com.

As detailed below, the complaint alleges that the Company and its executives violated federal securities laws by making false and/or misleading statements and/or failing to disclose that: (1) that senior executives had engaged in certain undisclosed activities; (2) that these activities required Board review; (3) that there was reason to doubt the effectiveness of the Company's disclosure controls and procedures; (4) that, as a result, the Company would be unable to timely file its earnings reports; and (5) that, as a result of the foregoing, Defendants' positive statements about the Company's business, operations, and prospects were materially misleading and/or lacked a reasonable basis.

On August 17, 2026, after the market closed, XTI Aerospace revealed that it could not timely file its Form 10-Q because it is "in the process of completing an internal review of the Registrant's former Chief Executive Officer, who resigned on August 17, 2026, and other related corporate governance matters." On this news, XTI Aerospace's stock price fell $0.25, or 15.9%, to close at $1.32 per share on August 18, 2026, on unusually heavy trading volume.

The court-appointed lead plaintiff is the investor with the largest financial interest in the relief sought by the class who is adequate and typical of class members who directs and oversees the litigation on behalf of the putative class. Any member of the putative class may move the Court to serve as lead plaintiff through counsel of their choice, or may choose to do nothing and remain an absent class member. Your ability to share in any recovery is not affected by the decision to serve as a lead plaintiff or not.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for Investors Regarding the XTI Aerospace Securities Class Action Lawsuit:

What is the XTI Aerospace securities fraud lawsuit about?

Faruqi & Faruqi, LLP has filed a securities class action lawsuit against XTI Aerospace, Inc. (NASDAQ: XTIA) on behalf of investors who purchased shares during the Class Period. The complaint alleges that senior executives allegedly engaged in certain undisclosed activities that required Board review and that the Company's disclosure controls and procedures were allegedly ineffective. As a result, the lawsuit alleges, XTI Aerospace was unable to timely file its earnings reports, and Defendants' positive statements about the Company's business, operations, and prospects were allegedly materially misleading and/or lacked a reasonable basis. The alleged misconduct came to light on August 17, 2026, when XTI Aerospace disclosed after market close that it could not timely file its Form 10-Q due to an ongoing internal review of its former Chief Executive Officer, who resigned that same day, and related corporate governance matters. On this news, XTI Aerospace's stock price allegedly declined $0.25, or approximately 15.9%, to close at $1.32 per share on August 18, 2026, on unusually heavy trading volume.

Who may be eligible to participate in the lawsuit?

Investors who purchased or otherwise acquired XTI Aerospace, Inc. (NASDAQ: XTIA) shares on the NASDAQ exchange between April 15, 2026 and August 17, 2026, inclusive, may be eligible to participate in this class action lawsuit. Eligibility to participate is not limited to those who apply to serve as lead plaintiff; any class member who purchased shares during the Class Period may potentially share in any recovery obtained. Investors are encouraged to review their trading records to determine whether their purchases fall within the defined Class Period. Those with questions about their eligibility are encouraged to consult with counsel to evaluate their options.

What is a lead plaintiff, and how can I seek appointment?

A lead plaintiff is a court-appointed representative who acts on behalf of all class members in directing the litigation, including making key decisions about case strategy and settlement. Any investor who purchased XTI Aerospace shares during the Class Period may move the court for appointment as lead plaintiff, and the deadline to file such a motion is the lead plaintiff deadline in this matter. Courts generally appoint the movant with the largest financial interest in the case who otherwise satisfies applicable legal requirements as lead plaintiff. Importantly, investors are not required to seek appointment as lead plaintiff in order to be eligible to share in any recovery that may result from the lawsuit. Class members who do not serve as lead plaintiff may still participate in any settlement or judgment obtained on behalf of the class.

Why should investors contact Faruqi & Faruqi, LLP?

Faruqi & Faruqi, LLP has represented investors in securities litigation for decades and has recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for shareholders. Investors who purchased XTI Aerospace securities during the Class Period may contact the firm to discuss their legal rights, potential claims, and the lead plaintiff process at no cost or obligation.

Vivacta Bio and Grit Bio Announce FDA Orphan Drug Designation for In Vivo CAR-T Therapy GT801 in Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia
Image File
Original HTML

SHANGHAI, Oct. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Vivacta Biotechnology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. ("Vivacta Bio"), a company spun out of the in vivo CAR-T platform of Beijing Grit Biotherapeutics Co., Ltd. ("Grit Bio"), today announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted Orphan Drug Designation (ODD) to GT801, Vivacta Bio's lead investigational product, for the treatment of autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA). The designation marks an important step in GT801's development for autoimmune diseases and enables potential access to incentives supporting GT801's further development in AIHA in the United States.

Addressing Unmet Need in AIHA Through B Cell Targeting

AIHA is an autoimmune disorder characterized by excessive, autoantibody-mediated destruction of red blood cells. Symptoms may include anemia, fatigue and shortness of breath, and severe cases can be life-threatening. Some patients continue to experience inadequate disease control despite multiple lines of therapy, underscoring the need for new treatment options.[1,2]

Recent clinical investigations of CD19 CAR-T in refractory AIHA have opened a new treatment avenue through B-cell depletion. Simplifying treatment and improving access, while continuing to evaluate safety and efficacy, remain key areas for further development.[2]

Early Clinical Activity Supports Development in Autoimmune Diseases

GT801 is an investigational in vivo CAR-T therapy that combines mRNA with T-cell-targeted lipid nanoparticle (LNP) delivery technology. By delivering mRNA encoding an anti-CD19 chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) into patients' T cells, GT801 is designed to generate CAR-T cells directly in the body to recognize and eliminate CD19-positive B cells.

Preliminary clinical results for GT801 in patients with autoimmune diseases were presented in a poster at the 2026 American Society of Gene & Cell Therapy (ASGCT) Annual Meeting. Two patients with AIHA both achieved complete response (CR) following GT801 treatment. One patient achieved CR at Week 4 and remained in CR at the Week 8 and Month 3 assessments; the other achieved CR at Week 10. Sustained peripheral B-cell depletion was also observed, together with increased hemoglobin levels and reductions in lactate dehydrogenase, indirect bilirubin and reticulocyte counts. These preliminary findings indicated promising clinical prospect of GT801 in AIHA.[3]

FDA Orphan Drug Designation Supports GT801's Global Development

Orphan Drug Designation is intended to encourage the development of treatments for rare diseases. Subject to applicable requirements, sponsors of designated products may be eligible for incentives including tax credits for qualified clinical trial expenses, exemption from marketing application user fees, and the potential for seven years of orphan drug market exclusivity following marketing approval.[4]

"GT801's Orphan Drug Designation is an important milestone in the project's global development in autoimmune diseases. It also reflected continued progress in advancing therapies originated from Grit Bio's in vivo CAR-T platform, particularly in rare autoimmune diseases," said Yarong Liu, Ph.D., Founder, Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer of Grit Bio. "Grit Bio and Vivacta Bio will continue to advance research and clinical translation guided by patient needs, build a stronger body of clinical evidence, and make innovative treatment options more accessible to patients."

About Vivacta Bio

Vivacta Bio is a biotechnology company focused on in vivo CAR-T innovation, with the aim of advancing transformative therapies in oncology and autoimmune diseases. Established on June 25, 2025, the company was spun out of Grit Bio's in vivo CAR-T platform. Its therapies use targeted LNP delivery to express CAR directly in patients' T cells, offering a new approach to treating hematologic malignancies and autoimmune diseases. This approach also eliminates the need for cell isolation, ex vivo expansion and lymphodepletion. By addressing the high costs, lengthy treatment timelines and toxicity associated with such processes, Vivacta Bio's platform has the potential to broaden patient access. Its lead candidate, GT801, has shown promising potentials in hematologic malignancies and autoimmune diseases.

About GT801

GT801 is an investigational anti-CD19 in vivo CAR-T therapy based on T-cell-targeted LNP technology. The product combines ionizable cationic lipids with CLAMP technology platform, featuring a distinctive T-cell-targeting VHH antibody, site-specific conjugation, and precisely controlled ligand density. The design enhances T cell targeting efficiency while minimizing nonspecific uptake, enabling efficient CAR expression in vivo. GT801 is engineered to generate potent, durable CAR-T cells within the patient and to support repeat dosing. With low cost, strong therapeutic activity and ease of administration, GT801 aims to address challenges in manufacturing economics and production timelines that constrain the commercialization of ex vivo cell therapies.

HelloNation Outlines Tax Documents Needed by US Citizens Abroad With Insights From Accountant Nils Lenz
Image File

The article explains how organized tax documents and financial records support accurate IRS reporting for business owners and expatriates.

ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla., Oct. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- What paperwork should US citizens abroad gather to prepare their taxes accurately and remain compliant with IRS requirements? HelloNation addresses this question in a HelloNation article that explains how organized documentation helps individuals and business owners manage tax compliance more effectively.

The HelloNation article explains that preparing for tax season begins long before filing deadlines arrive. One of the most important steps for small business owners is collecting and organizing financial records throughout the year. These records typically include income statements, expense receipts, payroll records, bank statements, and copies of prior year tax returns.

Maintaining accurate tax documents allows business owners to report income correctly and identify deductions that may reduce overall tax liability. The article notes that many accountants recommend keeping both digital and physical copies of records. This approach helps ensure that documents remain accessible and protected while providing a reliable reference when preparing filings.

For individuals who operate businesses outside the United States, documentation becomes even more important. The article explains that federal tax obligations apply to all US citizens regardless of where they live. Because of this requirement, US citizens abroad must report worldwide income and provide clear records of earnings, business transactions, and financial accounts.

Additional documentation may include foreign tax returns, proof of taxes paid in another country, and records connected to foreign bank accounts. The HelloNation article explains that individuals may also need to file the Foreign Bank Account Report when certain financial thresholds are met. Organized records help ensure these forms are completed accurately and submitted on time.

The article emphasizes that careful bookkeeping supports more accurate reporting. Small business owners often track revenue from multiple sources, including online sales, service income, or rental payments. Detailed expense records are also important, covering items such as office supplies, travel costs, utilities, marketing expenses, and professional services.

Payroll documentation is another important category of records for businesses with employees. The article explains that payroll records help verify wages, tax withholdings, and benefits information. Bank statements provide additional verification by confirming deposits, withdrawals, and transfers that appear in accounting records.

Self employed professionals also face specific documentation requirements. The HelloNation article notes that truck drivers and other independent workers often maintain settlement statements, fuel logs, mileage records, and vehicle maintenance receipts. Consistent mileage tracking that includes dates, locations, and the purpose of each trip helps ensure deductions meet IRS documentation standards.

Digital tools have made this process easier for many taxpayers. The article explains that mobile apps and accounting software allow individuals to record expenses, capture receipts, and track mileage throughout the year. These tools reduce the likelihood of missing documentation while improving bookkeeping accuracy.

US citizens abroad who run businesses must also account for foreign currency transactions. The article explains that accountants may assist with converting foreign income into US dollars and determining eligibility for foreign tax credits. Detailed documentation supports these calculations and helps prevent double taxation when income is taxed by more than one country.

Organized records also allow accountants to identify deductible expenses and prepare quarterly tax estimates when required. Early preparation gives business owners time to resolve discrepancies, locate missing documentation, and address questions before filing deadlines approach.

The article concludes that maintaining thorough records is a key step toward successful tax filing. Organized documentation helps ensure compliance with IRS requirements while supporting better financial planning. For small business owners in Zephyrhills FL and US citizens abroad, consistent recordkeeping can simplify tax preparation and reduce the risk of penalties.

What Paperwork Do US Citizens Abroad Need for Taxes features insights from Nils Lenz, Accountant Expert of Zephyrhills, Florida, in HelloNation.

Highland and Bath Counties, Virginia Go Live on a Shared Caliber Hosted CAD Environment
Image File
Original HTML

Two neighboring rural counties, two dispatch centers, one common platform supporting more than 900 square miles of mountainous terrain

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Oct. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Caliber Public Safety announced that Highland County and Bath County, Virginia went live on Caliber Hosted CAD on Tuesday, October 6, with both counties operating within a shared hosted environment. The arrangement gives each county its own dispatch operation while placing both on a common platform, creating a practical foundation for coordination between two neighboring jurisdictions.

For rural agencies, interoperability is usually a question of what happens when an incident crosses a county line. Mutual aid is routine in this part of western Virginia, where Highland County covers roughly 416 square miles with about 2,300 residents, and Bath County covers more than 500 square miles with about 4,100 residents. Together, the two counties serve a largely forested and mountainous service area with a small number of dispatchers and responders on any given shift.

The shared tenant approach addresses that directly. Each county retains the configuration, workflows, and local control it needs to run its own center. Both counties work from the same underlying platform, which removes the technical barriers that normally sit between separate CAD systems in adjacent jurisdictions.

"Two counties sharing one hosted CAD environment is not something you see often in rural public safety, and it took real coordination between both counties and our teams to get there," said Michael Sturgeon, Senior Project Manager at Caliber Public Safety. "What matters is what the dispatchers and responders have now. Each county runs its own center the way it needs to, and neither one is working in isolation anymore."

Capabilities Delivered

Highland County, which joined the Caliber CAD customer base with this project, is now operating Hosted CAD with integrated mapping and CJIS query, along with Google Places address validation and a LinX interface for regional information sharing. The county also uses Caliber's Online RMS for sworn and non-sworn personnel. For dispatchers covering a county with one of the highest mean elevations east of the Mississippi River, verified addressing and immediate access to criminal justice data reduce the guesswork that slows down a call.

Bath County is operating Hosted CAD with mapping and CJIS query, plus interfaces to PulsePoint, RapidSOS with alerts. The RapidSOS connections put caller location and device data in front of the dispatcher at the start of the call, which matters in terrain where a caller may not be able to describe where they are. The PulsePoint interface extends cardiac arrest notifications to trained citizens and off-duty responders nearby, a meaningful addition in a county where response distances are long.

A Migration, Not Just an Implementation

Bath County has been a Caliber premise CAD and Online RMS customer for years. As part of this project, the county moved its premise-based system onto Hosted CAD, and Caliber completed a data conversion to bring the historical CAD databases forward into the new environment.

That piece is often the sticking point for agencies considering a move off a premise system. Years of call history, incident records, and master index data represent case continuity, state reporting obligations, and institutional knowledge. Data conversion is a formal, structured component of every Caliber implementation, with Caliber's team managing the technical transformation, validation, and loading so that historically critical records carry over intact.

Caliber products are hosted at Nlets, the International Justice and Public Safety Network, and meet FBI CJIS policies, standards, and guidelines. The facilities include multi-site hot backup disaster recovery and redundant network paths to key state and federal entities.

Project Teams

The go-live required coordination among both counties and Caliber's Professional Services, Deployment, Training, Engineering, and Support teams. Caliber congratulates the public safety professionals of Highland County and Bath County on a successful implementation and looks forward to a fruitful partnership.

About Caliber Public Safety

- Latest long-term and real-world data with SKYRIZI®(risankizumab) and RINVOQ® (upadacitinib) provide additional insight into clinical and endoscopic outcomes over approximately three years in moderately to severely active Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis

- New data evaluating endoscopic remission with investigational dual-targeting therapy ABBV-466 in patients with moderate-to-severe Crohn's disease will also be presented

NORTH CHICAGO, Ill., Oct. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- AbbVie (NYSE: ABBV) today announced the presentation of 20 new scientific abstracts from its IBD portfolio at the 2026 United European Gastroenterology (UEG) Week, October 17-20 in Barcelona, Spain. Together, the data reflect the breadth of AbbVie's research across IBD, including established therapies studied over longer treatment periods and in real-world clinical practice.

"Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis are chronic, lifelong conditions, and understanding how patients respond to treatment over time and in everyday clinical practice is critical," said Sofie Berg, Pharm.D., Ph.D., therapeutic area head, immunology, international medical affairs, AbbVie. "The data presented at UEGW 2026 build on our growing body of evidence that can help clinicians move toward favorable long-term outcomes for people living with IBD."

Key data to be presented include:

Long-term data in moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohn's disease (CD) – Open-label extension and post-hoc analyses add to the evidence base for clinical and endoscopic outcomes with risankizumab and upadacitinib

- Risankizumab in UC: COMMAND showed sustained clinical and endoscopic outcomes up to three years of maintenance treatment. As-observed clinical remissiona rates of 54.0%–73.1% and endoscopic remissionb rates of 38.8%–53.5% were achieved at week 96 with 180mg across advanced therapy-naïve and advanced therapy-experienced patients.

- Upadacitinib in CD: U-ENDURE as-observed analyses showed that clinical and endoscopic outcomes were maintained through approximately four years of treatment. At Week 144, clinical remissionc was achieved by 78.9% of patients receiving 15 mg and 86.6% receiving 30 mg. Endoscopic remissiond was achieved by 47.1% and 64.2% of patients, respectively.

Upadacitinib in the Real World: New Insights from Clinical Practice

- Interim results from the real-world UPlift study showed that 70.2% of evaluable patients (N=497) with moderate to severe Crohn's disease achieved clinical responsee with upadacitinib within 12 weeks, with a median time to first response of 13 days.

- A real-world claims analysis of patients (N=514) with UC or CD showed that patients who switched from a Tumor Necrosis Factor inhibitor (TNFi) to upadacitinib had lower rates of IBD-related hospitalizations (9.5% vs 16.3%) or surgery (6.9% vs 10.6%) over 12 months compared with patients who cycled to another TNFi.

Additional Findings on Risankizumab Subcutaneous Induction in CD

- Data presented at UEGW will further expand on findings from the Phase 3 AFFIRM study evaluating subcutaneous risankizumab induction and maintenance in CD. Following the first presentation of AFFIRM results at the 2026 American College of Gastroenterology Annual Scientific Meeting, the UEGW presentations will provide additional analyses examining outcomes by prior advanced therapy exposure and further characterizing clinical and endoscopic outcomes among patients who responded to subcutaneous risankizumab induction and continued treatment.

World Winter Sports Expo 2026 Opens, Charting a New Decade for Ice and Snow and Outdoor Industries

BEIJING, Oct. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The grand event of the global ice and snow industry, the World Winter Sports Expo 2026 (WWSE 2026), was held in Beijing on October 15. As an important legacy of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games, this Expo aligns with China's "15th Five‑Year Plan" directives for the ice and snow industry. Its core mission is to expand the ice and snow economy, cultivate new productive forces in the sector, and promote deep integration of culture, sports, and tourism. It brought together representatives from government authorities, industry leaders, cultural‑tourism‑sports experts, outdoor film and media creators, and institutions across the entire value chain. Focusing on three strategic directions, upgrading the ice and snow industry, deepening culture‑sports‑tourism integration, and empowering the outdoor economy through technology, this WWSE features an opening ceremony, a main conference, multiple parallel sessions, and special thematic events. Together, these form a high‑end platform for achievement showcase, intellectual exchange, business matchmaking, and resource aggregation, aimed at driving higher‑quality growth for China's ice and snow and outdoor sectors.

Positioned at the pivotal starting point of a new decade of development, this Expo delivers a comprehensive upgrade: internationalization continues to reach new heights, the entire ice and snow value chain is presented in a coordinated way, scientific and technological innovation empowers the sector, ice and snow destinations pursue diversified growth, youth engagement in ice and snow sports advances through systematic promotion, forum agendas focus on niche tracks, the Ice and Snow Carnival offers a whole-scenario experience, industry-academia-research collaboration and industry services assume a stronger leading role, and a range of measures inject fresh vitality into the ice and snow economy.

At the Opening Ceremony of the WWSE 2026 and Global Ice and Snow Industry Summit, more than 200 domestic and international dignitaries gathered to witness the Expo's launch. Among them were: Yu Zaiqing, Honorary Member of the International Olympic Committee and Vice President of the Chinese Olympic Committee; Yue Li, Acting District Mayor of Shijingshan and Deputy Secretary of the CPC Shijingshan District Committee of Beijing Municipality; Tong Zhao, Deputy Secretary-General and Office Director of the Liaoning Provincial Organizing Committee of the 15th National Winter Games; Zhu Dongfang, President of Asia Data Group; Franz Roessler, Commercial Counsellor at the Austrian Embassy in Beijing, and Head of the ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Beijing; Hong Ping, Vice President of Beijing Sport University; Wang Dong, Deputy Director of the Liaoning Provincial Bureau of Sports, and Full-Time Deputy Director of the Competition Department of the Liaoning Provincial Organizing Committee for the 15th National Winter Games; Gao Zhaoyi, Member of the Leading Party Members Group and Director of the Sports Bureau of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region; Zhan Wei, Vice Mayor of the Fushun Municipal People's Government of Liaoning Province; Zhang Li, Co-President of Asia Data Group; Li Jianrou, Olympic Short Track Speed Skating Champion; Wang Bingyu, World Curling Champion; Zhao Nannan, World Short Track Speed Skating Champion; and Jiang Yiyi, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Dean, School of Leisure Sports and Tourism, Beijing Sport University.

Opening Ceremony Held in Grand Style, Uniting All Partners to Chart the Industry's Blueprint Together

On the morning of October 15, the Opening Ceremony of the WWSE 2026 and Global Ice and Snow Industry Summit was held. Closely following the development direction for the ice and snow industry set out in China's 15th Five-Year Plan, the Opening Ceremony took on the important missions of policy promotion, industry gathering, international dialogue and achievement release, and built a bridge for high-level dialogue among government agencies, international sports organizations, industry companies and research, cultural and tourism institutions. Serving both as a concentrated showcase of China's achievements in the ice and snow industry and as a key platform for the industry to assess trends, connect with resources and build consensus, it injected strong momentum into the innovative development of the ice and snow and outdoor industries throughout the year.

At the Opening Ceremony, Honorary Member of the International Olympic Committee and Vice President of the Chinese Olympic Committee, Yu Zaiqing, delivered the opening address. 11 years ago, he said, the Expo was launched alongside Beijing's successful bid to host the Olympic Winter Games. Today, it has grown into one of the world's leading platforms in the ice and snow industry. It has driven China's shift from being a major consumer market to becoming a powerful industry leader, and the Winter Olympics legacy continues to provide momentum. On this basis, he called for upholding the Olympic spirit of "Together", deepening international cooperation on ice and snow, and advancing the intelligent, green and international development of the industry.

Yue Li, Acting District Mayor of Shijingshan and Deputy Secretary of the CPC Shijingshan District Committee of Beijing Municipality, then delivered an address. The Expo has grown into an influential international ice and snow event and serves as an important link for Shijingshan to connect with global ice and snow resources. As a host district of the Beijing Olympic Winter Games, Shijingshan has continued to revitalize the Winter Olympic legacy, build a four-season events matrix, and promote the integrated development of ice and snow and the events economy. He expressed the hope to share the Winter Olympic legacy and jointly explore the blue ocean of the ice and snow industry with all parties, so as to help advance the global ice and snow economy.

As the representative of this year's Guest Province of Honor, Tong Zhao, Deputy Secretary-General and Office Director of the Liaoning Provincial Organizing Committee of the 15th National Winter Games, delivered an address at the Opening Ceremony. She noted that Liaoning has deep ties with WWSE, and this year it is drawing on its status as Guest Province of Honor to present the province's ice and snow resources, industrial achievements and cooperation opportunities. With the 15th National Winter Games set to be held in Liaoning in 2028, it is expected to become the first in China to have hosted both the National Games and the National Winter Games. Liaoning looks forward to learning from international experience through the Expo and extended a warm invitation to all parties to join it for the 15th National Winter Games.

Christophe Dubi, Olympic Games Executive Director of the International Olympic Committee, then delivered an address by video. He reviewed Beijing 2022's experience of hosting the Games across multiple competition zones and contrasted it with Milano Cortina 2026's approach of tailoring the Games to local conditions, proposing that the Games should adapt to the host rather than the host adapting to the venues. He also affirmed the value of forward-looking planning for Olympic venues and their post-Games reuse, and noted that climate change is confronting the industry with challenges ranging from snow resources to energy consumption, making the transformation of the ice and snow industry all the more urgent. He expressed the hope that those engaged in the industry would work together to explore a sustainable development path for ice and snow sports.

In the keynote speech session, Hong Ping, Vice President of Beijing Sport University, and Former Deputy Director of the Winter Sports Management Center, General Administration of Sport of China, shared his insights under the theme of "Reflections and Explorations on the High-Quality Development of the Ice and Snow Industry — Trend Transformation, Intelligent Manufacturing, and Safety Governance". He noted that China's sports market is huge in scale and that new indoor ice and snow formats are rising rapidly, with ice and snow consumption becoming an important lever for boosting domestic demand, yet the industry's development still falls short in several respects. He therefore called for a people-centered approach, building a coupled "human–machine–environment" mega-system and developing fifth-generation ski products that are science-based, smart, green, healthy and safe. This will drive the high-quality development of the ice and snow industry through demand pull and scientific and technological innovation.

In their addresses, Alexander Ospelt, President of International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS); Olle Dahlin, Honorary President of the International Biathlon Union (IBU); and Einars Fogelis, President of the International Luge Federation (FIL), conveyed a shared message from the global ice and snow industry: staying open and collaborative, and working together for the industry's development. They affirmed that the Expo has built a platform for global ice and snow exchange and cooperation, recognized the rapid growth of ice and snow sports in Asia, shared the outcomes of Milano Cortina 2026, and highlighted the importance of sustainable development in ice and snow sports. Looking ahead, they expressed the hope of using the Expo to deepen cross-regional and cross-generational exchanges and to jointly advance the continued prosperity of winter sports.

In the report release session, Co-President of Asia Data Group Zhang Li launched the "Report on China's Winter Sports Industry Development (2026)".

Navan Investigation Initiated: Kahn Swick & Foti, LLC Investigates the Officers and Directors of Navan, Inc. - NAVN

NEW ORLEANS, Oct. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Former Attorney General of Louisiana, Charles C. Foti, Jr., Esq., a partner at the law firm of Kahn Swick & Foti, LLC ("KSF"), announces that KSF has commenced an investigation into Navan, Inc. ("Navan" or the "Company") (NasdaqGS: NAVN).

Navan, headquartered in Palo Alto, California, provides booking and expense management software for business travelers. On or about October 31, 2025, Navan conducted its initial public offering (the "IPO" or "Offering"), selling 36,924,406 shares of common stock to the investing public at $25 per share. The registration statement and prospectus issued in connection with the IPO (the "Offering Documents") touted that Navan's business had "experienced rapid growth," including year-over-year revenue growth of 33%, Gross Booking Volume growth of 32%, and a usage yield of approximately 7% in each of fiscal years 2024 and 2025. However, the Offering Documents allegedly failed to disclose that this growth was increasingly dependent on escalating sales and marketing spending: in the quarter ending October 31, 2025, the very day of the IPO, Navan's sales and marketing expenses rose to approximately $95 million, a 39% increase over the $68.5 million spent in the prior quarter.

Thereafter, the Company and certain of its executives were sued in a securities class action lawsuit, charging them with failing to disclose material information during the Class Period in violation of federal securities laws. That litigation remains ongoing.

KSF's investigation is focusing on whether Navan's officers and/or directors breached their fiduciary duties to its shareholders or otherwise violated state or federal laws.

If you have information that would assist KSF in its investigation, or have been a long-term holder of Navan shares and would like to discuss your legal rights, you may, without obligation or cost to you, call toll-free at 1-833-538-3608 or email KSF Managing Partner Lewis Kahn ([email protected]), or visit https://www.ksfcounsel.com/cases/nasdaqgs-navn/ to learn more.
