Himel Highlights Electrical Solutions Addressing Evolving Industrial and Everyday Needs

HONG KONG, Nov. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Himel, a globally acclaimed manufacturer and supplier of electrical products, is highlighting recent product developments and award-winning solutions that address practical needs across industrial operations and modern spaces. From efficient motor control and contemporary wiring devices to electric vehicle charging, the selected products reflect different priorities shaping how electrical solutions are used today.

For industrial customers, these priorities often begin with operational reliability, efficiency and ease of maintenance. Himel's newly introduced X Series Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) address these requirements through dependable motor control, simplified setup and maintenance, and flexible integration across industrial applications. The series also offers energy-saving potential in suitable pump and fan operations, where managing energy consumption is an important consideration.

While industrial environments prioritize operational performance, electrical products in residential and commercial spaces must also balance functionality, safety and appearance. Himel's Altivo Series wiring devices combine full-flat, ultra-thin aesthetics and five color options with fire-retardant safety features and versatile functionality. Beyond design, manufacturing processes are also becoming an area of focus. Himel's NERIO Series, featuring paint-free manufacturing technology, received the Green Technology â Manufacturing award at the 2026 Hong Kong Business Technology Excellence Awards, recognizing an approach that reduces reliance on conventional painting processes.

The growing adoption of electric mobility brings another set of requirements for electrical infrastructure. Himel's Electric Vehicle Charger Generation 2, recognized with the Top Innovation Award, is among the company's offerings supporting the transition toward cleaner transportation.

"Different markets and applications come with different requirements, but customers consistently look for products that are reliable, practical and suited to their needs," said Wenjie Qi, General Manager of Himel. "Our focus is on understanding these requirements and translating them into product improvements, whether in industrial performance, everyday functionality or design."

Across Southeast Asia, Africa and the Middle East, Himel's I Love Control and Dream Home campaigns provide different ways to connect these solutions with market needs. While I Love Control helps industrial partners strengthen product understanding and technical knowledge, Dream Home, guided by "Home is where the heart is," brings attention to how electrical products empower the spaces where people live and work infinitely. Both initiatives support Himel's efforts to make product value more relevant to customers and partners in different markets.

PATEO Advances In-Vehicle AI with NVIDIA Nemotron and ByteDance Doubao on its AI Box built on NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor

SHANGHAI, Nov. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- PATEO is advancing in-vehicle AI by deploying NVIDIA Nemotron and the 35-billion-parameter ByteDance Doubao language model in its AI Box, built on NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor. The solution combines local AI inference with PATEO's AI Agent platform to support multilingual interaction, understand cabin context and coordinate vehicle functions.

At Auto China 2026 in Beijing, PATEO announced joint development of the solution with ByteDance and a leading new energy vehicle automaker. PATEO has also secured a project nomination for a new-generation vehicle from a leading new energy vehicle automaker, with mass production for that program expected in the second quarter of 2027.

In-vehicle local inference with Nemotron and Doubao

PATEO has integrated NVIDIA Nemotron 3.5 ASR for speech recognition into its in-vehicle model suite. In collaboration with ByteDance, PATEO has also integrated Doubao, a 35-billion-parameter mixture-of-experts language model. The suite includes text-to-speech synthesis and a 2-billion-parameter language model for semantic classification and request rejection.

The integrated suite can run inference locally without a cloud connection, supporting multilingual voice interaction and real-time streaming speech recognition. This enables core AI functions to remain available when connectivity is limited, while connected services and cloud updates extend the system's capabilities.

The PATEO AI Agent platform combines voice, visual and sensor inputs to interpret user requests and cabin conditions. Within vehicle safety permissions, it can invoke cabin controls and online services, coordinate concurrent tasks and manage longer-running requests. With user authorization, it can remember preferences and habits to personalize future interactions.

AI Box Brings Proactive Intelligence to the Cockpit

PATEO's AI Box supports practical scenarios throughout the driving experience. Sentinel AI can identify and issue alerts for risks such as parking violations, flooding and fire. On hot commutes, occupants can independently adjust driver and passenger climate settings through voice commands or gestures. During extended highway driving, the AI agent can detect driver fatigue and ask whether the driver would like to open a window or activate seat massage. In areas with poor air quality, it can suggest closing windows and switching to recirculation based on location and learned driving habits.

Built on NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor, the AI Box connects perception, reasoning, execution and learning. Sustaining these experiences requires memory bandwidth alongside peak compute measured in TOPS. As context accumulates across conversation turns and agent actions during a trip, the model's key-value (KV) cache grows, increasing demands on memory capacity and bandwidth. Thor's accelerated compute and high memory bandwidth help support responsive local inference. Within automotive safety permissions, the AI Box coordinates cockpit controls, connected services and concurrent or longer-running tasks. With user authorization, it remembers preferences and habits, while cloud updates help refine its capabilities.

The AI Box's modular software architecture and integration with in-vehicle systems and NVIDIA's edge and cloud AI ecosystem support model deployment, tuning and customization across vehicle programs. By adding dedicated AI computing capacity without replacing the original main control chip, it also offers an upgrade path for existing vehicles whose processors cannot support larger models, concurrent multimodal interactions and proactive agents through software updates alone.

Expanding Beyond Hardware with Tokenomics and Physical AI

PATEO is building on the AI Box to expand from one-time hardware delivery into ongoing AI services and operations. Its in-vehicle Tokenomics strategy aims to create recurring revenue around the deployment and use of AI capabilities, extending the business opportunity beyond the initial hardware sale.

In June 2026, PATEO formed partnerships with Mininglamp Technology, Xunce Technology and Saimo Technology to jointly develop a token-based physical AI world model and TokenOS. The collaboration brings together on-device hardware, simulation testing, data infrastructure, creating a foundation for delivering and operating AI services.

Built on NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor, the AI Box provides a reusable platform that PATEO can adapt to different automakers and vehicle programs. The company is also extending its expertise in intelligent interaction and hardware engineering into robotics. PATEO reports a project nomination from a leading domestic robotics computing provider, opening an opportunity to apply its platform capabilities to physical AI applications beyond vehicles.

As on-device models and AI agents move toward broader automotive deployment, PATEO is combining NVIDIA accelerated computing with its cockpit software and hardware expertise to support that transition. Its focus on reusable technology, deployment across vehicle programs and ongoing AI services supports its evolution from a smart cockpit supplier into an AI platform company, with opportunities for growth across automotive and broader physical AI markets.

WaterField Designs Introduces Starlink Mini Go Case With Flexible Accessory Storage

Developed with input from more than 150 Starlink Mini owners, the carrying case combines understated styling with organized storage for power, mounting, and networking accessories used in remote work, travel, and in-car internet access.

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- WaterField Designs, a San Francisco manufacturer of premium bags and cases for tech devices, today announced the Starlink Mini Go Case, a protective carrying case for the Starlink Mini satellite internet device and its accessories. Designed as a professional-looking alternative to tactical-style cases, the new compact Starlink Mini case combines a padded device compartment, flexible accessory storage, and a dedicated power cord pass-through that gives users the option to operate the Mini outside the case without unpacking its power supply and cables.

"People use their Starlink Minis in all sorts of ways, and the accessories they carry can be quite different," said company founder Gary Waterfield. "Someone using it in a car needs a different setup from someone working remotely. We wanted to make one compact Starlink Mini case that could accommodate those different needs and still look good in a professional setting."

The case separates the Mini from its accessories in dedicated compartments, while stretch mesh pockets accommodate different combinations of power, mounting, and networking equipment. The cord pass-through lets the Mini operate outside the case without unpacking its power supply and cables.

The Starlink Mini Go Case grew out of a request from a customer who wanted a professional-looking way to carry his Starlink Mini between home and work but found the cases he'd seen too bulky and tactical-looking. WaterField subsequently surveyed more than 150 Starlink Mini owners about their equipment needs.

The research identified three common setups: car power users carrying mounting and charging accessories; overlanders and travelers needing additional power and connectivity equipment; and remote workers carrying a router and Ethernet cable. The case's adaptable interior accommodates these different accessory combinations.

Key Features

- Protected Starlink Mini compartment: Firm foam reinforcement on the front, back, and bottom cushions the device against bumps and scratches. The compartment accommodates the Mini with or without Starlink's Travel Kit bumper and sleeve.

- Power cord pass-through: A routed opening between the device and accessory compartments allows the Mini to operate while connected to power equipment stored inside.

- Flexible accessory storage: Stretch mesh pockets accommodate a power cord and supply, car adapter, suction cup mount, external battery, Starlink Router Mini, Ethernet cable, and more depending on the user's setup.

- Wide-opening access: Wraparound zippers provide unobstructed access to both compartments.

- Durable, weather-resistant exterior: Waxed canvas or ballistic nylon, full-grain leather, and waterproof YKK zippers resist wear and help keep moisture out.

- Extra-large leather cord clips: Two included clips keep the 30-foot Starlink Mini power cord and other cables neatly coiled during transport.

- Flexible carry options: A padded top handle for grab-and-go convenience; metal D-rings for attaching an optional shoulder strap for hands-free carry.

With its understated styling and adaptable interior, the Starlink Mini Go Case is suited to professional settings, in-car Starlink setups, and trips to cabins or vacation rentals. It is designed and handcrafted in small batches at WaterField's San Francisco workshop.

Xinhua Silk Road: Hunan promotes investment opportunities in Germany and Switzerland

BEIJING, Nov. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The 2026 Hunan-Europe economic and trade collaboration conference took place in Germany and Switzerland from October 27 to November 1, promoting investment environment and business opportunities in Hunan province to European investors.

As a major platform for Hunan's economic and trade engagement with Europe, the conference has been held annually since its launch in 2023, with three editions completed to date.

The conference represents an important initiative in Hunan's efforts to become a leading inland hub for reform and opening-up and deepen practical economic and trade cooperation with European countries.

In Germany, the meeting focused on opportunities in advanced manufacturing and the automotive industry.

Liu Suyue, deputy director of the Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce, said in her keynote speech that over 37 well-known German enterprises, including BOSCH, Volkswagen, Schaeffler and BASF, have established and expanded their operations in the province. During China's 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025), revenue generated by German-invested enterprises in Hunan increased by 117 percent.

The Hunan delegation also attended the 10th Sino-German Automotive Congress, which coincided with the opening of the Hunan-Germany economic and trade collaboration meeting. As an important platform for dialogue between the Chinese and German automotive industries, the congress provided Hunan with a valuable opportunity to connect its automotive sector with international supply chains.

In 2025, Hunan produced 1.626 million vehicles, making it a major production base for automakers such as BYD, Geely, GAC Aion and Volkswagen. The province is home to five national-level advanced manufacturing clusters. Five Hunan-based companies rank among the world's top 50 construction machinery manufacturers.

In Switzerland, a Hunan-Switzerland business matchmaking event on biomedicine and artificial intelligence focused on life sciences, healthcare and intelligent technologies kicked off.

Liu introduced Hunan's advantages as a favorable investment destination as "5C", namely cost, consumer base, cluster, college and convenience.

Liu said Hunan is committed to providing European enterprises with robust industrial supply chains, open platforms for investment and development, and efficient, attentive services. The province hopes to become the first stop for European businesses seeking to enter the Chinese market.

Looking ahead, Hunan will continue to expand channels for cooperation with Europe and accelerate the implementation of projects under discussion, further strengthening the "Invest in Hunan" brand in European markets.
