PlugClaw Now Shipping Worldwide: A Thumb-Sized Private AI Computer That Keeps AI Agents Off Your Devices

Turn any phone, tablet, or computer into an AI workstation — the AI does the work on its own hardware and never touches the data on your main device.

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 4, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- TrustKernel, an AI security and privacy computing company, today announced that PlugClaw has begun shipping worldwide, moving from pre-order to general availability. The company also opened free confidential-model inference on newly deployed servers.

PlugClaw is a complete computer in a USB-C stick: 50 × 19 × 8 mm, 15 grams, with a MediaTek Helio G80 processor, up to 6 GB memory and 128 GB encrypted storage, running PlugOS — a privacy-hardened Android system — plus Ubuntu as the agent runtime. It turns any phone, tablet, or computer into an AI workstation, bringing confidential AI computing to consumer hardware.

Using PlugClaw is simple: plug it into a computer, phone, or tablet, and the AI gets to work.

Once connected, the host device acts as display and input. The AI agent, the applications it calls, login credentials, and the entire execution environment all run on PlugClaw's own hardware and operating system. The agent can open applications, read and reply to messages, organize files, browse the web, and carry out multi-step tasks on its own — but it never needs, and cannot obtain, administrator access to the host device, and has no path to the photos, contacts, documents, or account data stored there.

PlugClaw starts at US$149, a one-time purchase with no mandatory subscription.

Why AI Needs Its Own Hardware to Get Real Work Done

Today's AI agents are already capable enough to take on real work. But to actually let one act, users typically have to hand over device permissions, accounts, and data all at once.

Running an autonomous, self-operating program on your own phone or computer means granting broad access to software whose behavior is not fully predictable.

The industry has already seen a string of public incidents in which AI agents overstepped their permissions, carried out unintended commands, and put user data at risk. The problem was never that agents don't work well — it's that there was no sufficiently secure environment for them to run in.

TrustKernel's answer is to give AI a computer of its own. The agent runs entirely inside PlugClaw's hardware, so its blast radius is confined to the device itself: even if the agent behaves unexpectedly, the impact stays contained within PlugClaw. Unplugging the device ends the session instantly, and the host phone or computer is left untouched.

On the capability side, PlugClaw runs Android natively alongside OpenClaw, an open-source agent framework, extended with built-in GUI-agent and Android-Use capabilities. That lets the AI operate apps within Android the way a person would, completing complex, cross-app tasks.

Thinking Isn't Enough. AI Needs to Act

Most AI assistants only talk. PlugClaw is built to act.

Inside PlugOS, the built-in AI agent doesn't quietly pull data through an API in the background — it behaves like a real operator, opening apps, tapping buttons, typing text, and swiping the screen the same way a person would use a phone. Replying to messages, reading content, organizing files, laying out a slide deck, searching the web: tasks that once required your own hands, PlugClaw completes inside its own operating system, with no developer integration required and no dependence on whether a given app was built to be "AI-friendly."

All the user has to do is say what they need. "Reply to my unread messages in my usual tone," or "put together a competitor analysis deck that matches our brand style" — and PlugClaw opens the right app, reads what's on the screen, and works through it step by step until the task is done, instead of handing back a suggestion and leaving the rest to you.

Powerful AI and Real Privacy Without Compromise

AI users have long faced the same core tension: the more powerful a model is, the more they want to use it — and the more sensitive their data is, the less they dare to. PlugClaw addresses this with cloud-based confidential AI.

On PlugClaw, a user's applications, AI memory, workflows, and sensitive data are all encrypted and run entirely within the device's own independent system — never passing through the host phone, and never stored on a computer's hard drive.

When a task calls for a more powerful frontier model in the cloud, PlugClaw makes that call, but the security boundary holds. Every request is processed inside a hardware-encrypted Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) in the cloud, using remote attestation and memory encryption. Under this setup, neither the cloud provider nor TrustKernel can read the underlying plaintext data, keeping the privacy boundary consistent across the entire task.

PlugClaw gives users a choice between confidential and non-confidential models. Data from preview testing showed that even when both options were available and the non-confidential model was cheaper, users chose the confidential model far more often. Based on that feedback, TrustKernel has deployed dedicated confidential AI servers, offering users free confidential-model inference.

PlugClaw is a one-time hardware purchase with no mandatory subscription. Users can pay as they go with the advanced models pre-installed on the system, or connect their own model service seamlessly through BYOK (bring your own API key).

Thumb-Sized, With an Entire AI Workspace Inside

PlugClaw works with Android phones, iPhones, iPads, Windows, Mac, Linux, and HarmonyOS devices. Plug it into any of them and the AI gets to work. Whichever device a user switches to, their applications, AI memory, custom skills, and workflows travel with PlugClaw, picking up where they left off.

Through PlugClaw's open ecosystem, users get ongoing access to new models, skill packs, and automated workflows.

Who PlugClaw Is For

PlugClaw is built for people who want AI to actually get work done, without exposing the data on their personal phone or computer to do it:

Everyday AI users — People who already use AI to write copy or look things up, but want it to finish the job. PlugClaw works the moment you plug it in, at a fraction of the price of a flagship AI phone.

Privacy-conscious professionals — People who need to use advanced AI on sensitive personal or business information, without exposing their devices, account credentials, or private data.

High-intensity knowledge workers — Consultants, operations, product, marketing, and research professionals who switch between tools all day. PlugClaw can take over repetitive work like organizing meeting notes, tracking to-dos, and completing multi-step tasks across apps.

Docusign, the most trusted name in agreement tech, applies agreement engine to modern agentic enterprise tech stacks

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 4, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Docusign (Nasdaq: DOCU) today announced it will open its Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server to every AI agent on September 30. With the Docusign MCP generally available globally, agreement intelligence and governed action — powered by AI engine Docusign Iris — are now callable natively from Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Slack, and any MCP client, directly accessible by the agents running a business.

"For enterprise AI to truly succeed, it must integrate with the foundational systems that businesses rely on, like agreement management," said Allan Thygesen, CEO of Docusign. "Agents require a robust framework to analyze terms and execute end-to-end agreement workflows. Docusign becomes the essential agreement layer for any platform's agent, leveraging deep context and the rigorous governance customers demand. This is what evolves a connected agent into a trusted partner for contract management."

Docusign has operated an open, API-first platform for two decades, with eSignature embedded in over 1,100 partner-built applications. Now, Docusign's MCP Server extends that same open architecture for agents leveraging a full intelligent agreement suite. The Docusign MCP Server is built for the enterprise, with account-level admin controls, global multi-region infrastructure, and multilingual support. Agents will draw on the full context of past negotiations, accepted terms, clauses, and company policy through Iris, Docusign's AI engine, across Intelligent Agreement Management, and even in advanced CLM workflows.

Available everywhere work happens

Docusign eliminates the need for app-switching that slows deals down by natively embedding contract analysis, sending, and tracking where work already happens. This runs bidirectionally with data from systems like Oracle flowing directly into Docusign, while Docusign's own capabilities extend outward into Slack, Perplexity, and Salesforce where Iris runs natively alongside Agentforce. Salesforce recently named Docusign as a Partner of the Year award winner, recognizing IAM integrations across Salesforce, Agentforce and Slack that empower customers to close deals, pull contract insight for renewals and collaborate on agreements without leaving their flow of work.

Here's what beta customers and partners had to share:

- "Salesforce delivers AI agents you can trust, serving customers 24/7, generating new pipeline, and handling routine work at scale — so people can focus on judgment, relationships, and growth. Collaborating with Docusign adds real value for customers who are building their Agentic Enterprise with Salesforce. Agentforce and Slackbot will read and act on contract terms in real-time to accelerate high value sales and service actions. Together we accelerate business processes that our customers really care about," said Joe Inzerillo, President Enterprise & AI Technology, Salesforce.

- "As organizations move from AI experimentation to enterprise-scale deployment, agreements are an essential workflow that agents need to understand and act on securely. Docusign's MCP capabilities give organizations a practical way to bring agreement workflows into the AI platforms and agent experiences where employees already work. Slalom looks forward to helping joint customers design and deploy these connected experiences in a way that drives productivity while supporting the governance, integration, and change management required for enterprise adoption," said Carlos Etter, Director of Global Enterprise Applications & CLM Practice Leader, Slalom.

- "Docusign is Experian's core agreement layer. As an early enterprise customer, we're exploring how agentic capabilities can strengthen our agreement intelligence — verifying accuracy at the drafting stage, automating across the contract lifecycle, and in doing so improving both how our teams work and how our clients experience contracting with us. We're excited by the potential agents hold for how enterprises manage agreements at scale," said Gary Sonnenthal, VP, Global Quote to Cash Product Owner, Experian.

End Manual Food Logging: ODYSS Pioneers AI Necklace Wearable at IFA 2026

Moving Beyond Tracking to Truly Understand You for Better Health

BERLIN, Sept. 4, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- ODYSS, a pioneer in AI wearable technology and IFA Innovation Award 2026 winner, unveiled its groundbreaking vision for the future of health, presenting the AI dietary necklace ODYSS N1 and bringing an end to manual food logging. While wearables have long mastered sleep and activity tracking, diet management remains the missing piece of the personal health puzzle.

Ending Manual Logging

Despite 300M+ registered users across mainstream food-logging apps, long-term adherence remains rare, with a CHI 2015 study (University of Washington) attributing the drop-off to logging fatigue and social embarrassment. Traditional food tracking methods demand constant manual input, while ODYSS works quietly in the background. Equipped with a G-sensor and contact sensors, it automatically detects wearing status. And the wide-angle camera captures visual food cues and hand-to-mouth movements to identify eating behaviors.

The Always-On Nutrition Companion

Smartwatches track energy output but overlook dietary intake. ODYSS N1 captures real-time eating data to complete your health picture. It generates three Dietary Scores: Quality, Energy, and Rhythm, while explaining each meal's impact on energy, recovery, and sleep. Quietly working in the background, it serves as a continuous nutrition companion that fits seamlessly into your daily life.

Privacy by Design

Upholding the principle that technology should serve people, not the other way around, ODYSS embeds privacy at its core. A dedicated physical switch lets you instantly toggle all sensing functions on or off, while quiet-by-default operation automatically reduces activity when you're not eating. On the software layer, the ODYSS focuses exclusively on food-related information, automatically filtering out everything else, blurring faces and personal features in images, and raw images will be deleted after processing. It's privacy designed from the hardware up, not bolted on as an afterthought.

About ODYSS

ODYSS is a pioneer in AI-driven dietary intelligence wearables, dedicated to redefining the human relationship with food. Built by a team of engineers, AI experts, medical tradition and innovators, the company creates technology that empowers users to understand their bodies without judgment. ODYSS believes the best technology should seamlessly integrate into daily life and work quietly in the background. Inspired by the spirit of self-discovery, the brand transforms every bite into an opportunity for better health, building the next generation of dietary intelligence.

- Legal & Compliance Protection: Automatically applies required legal disclaimers and compliance messaging to every outbound email.

- Marketing & Campaign Management: Transforms email signatures into a centrally managed marketing channel using promotional banners, campaigns, and dynamic messaging.

- Centralized Administration: Eliminates the manual and error-prone process of updating signatures individually across users by providing a single central management platform.

- Cross-Device Rendering: Ensures signatures display correctly across Outlook desktop, Outlook Web, Mac, mobile devices, and other email clients for a seamless brand experience.

According to Cheryl Rang, Vice President, Technology Solutions, Ingram Micro, the benefits of this expanded engagement include simplifying procurement for MSPs selling and supporting Crossware solutions and enabling centralized branding, compliance, and marketing directly within Microsoft 365 environments via Ingram Micro's ecosystem.

"By integrating Crossware into Xvantage's cloud marketplace, we are expanding the scope of value-added services available to our growing CSP partner network," Rang said.

"By streamlining Microsoft Marketplace transactions through Private Offers, we are enabling our MSPs to deliver sophisticated branding, governance, and security solutions to their clients while maintaining the operational efficiency and automated provisioning they expect from Ingram Micro."

SCANOLOGY Sets New Benchmarks in Large-Scale and Portable 3D Measurement with TrackScan Sharp-Z and TrackScan GO

HANGZHOU, China, Sept. 4, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- SCANOLOGY, a global provider of 3D scanning and inspection solutions, has introduced TrackScan Sharp-Z and TrackScan GO, two optical 3D scanning systems designed to make industrial inspection more mobile, accessible, and adaptable to different working environments.

The new systems enable manufacturers to deploy 3D measurement more efficiently on the site, whether inspecting oversized structures or moving between production areas and confined spaces. Together, the systems reflect SCANOLOGY's focus on combining measurement capabilities with simpler deployment and operation.

For large-scale applications, TrackScan Sharp-Z offers a tracking distance of up to 12 meters. Its Fully Self Tracking technology automatically rotates the tracker to follow the 3D scanner, reducing the need for repeated repositioning when inspecting large components such as aircraft structures, commercial vehicles, and energy equipment.

TrackScan GO addresses portability and versatility. The complete system fits into a single carrying case, while its tracker and scanner can operate together or independently. Three measurement configurations support marker-free optical tracking, wide-area scanning, and handheld inspection in confined spaces.

The measurement performance of both systems is evaluated in accordance with ISO 10360-13.

For teams handling varied inspection tasks, this flexibility can reduce the need to transport separate devices and make it easier to adapt the setup to the workpiece.

Both systems use SCANOLOGY's smart wireless architecture, with edge computing processing camera images before transmitting measurement data. This reduces data transmission requirements and supports cable-free scanning.

Ease of use is another shared priority. TrackScan Sharp-Z combines automatic tracking with dual-screen interaction. A color camera and AR overlay on TrackScan GO help users relate measurement data to the physical workpiece and document visible surface defects on the 3D model.

Both systems operate on SCANOLOGY's unified industrial measurement software platform, supporting a consistent workflow from scanning through analysis and reporting.

Preconfigured routines can also help teams repeat established inspection procedures, reducing manual setup and supporting more consistent reporting across operators working on similar tasks.

By addressing both large-scale coverage and portable deployment, SCANOLOGY aims to help manufacturers extend 3D inspection into more production and field environments while making advanced measurement tools easier to use.

Solomon e3 Moves to NexQloud, Cutting Cloud Spend by More Than Half After a Qlarity FinOps Review
Image File
Original HTML

The platform's development and MVP environment now runs on NexQloud NanoServers™. Savings came from idle resources, overprovisioned capacity and less expensive compute.

BOSTON, Sept. 4, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Solomon e3, the energy infrastructure company, today announced that it has moved the platform's development and MVP environment to NexQloud One, and that total monthly cloud spend has fallen by more than half after a Qlarity FinOps review.

Solomon e3 is an AI-powered geospatial platform cities, utilities and healthcare systems use to turn energy funding into completed upgrades. Deployments channel contracts to local, minority-owned businesses.

Moving Solomon e3 to NexQloud

The environment runs the portal, gateway and API as containers on managed Kubernetes, with a self-hosted OpenSearch cluster and PostGIS. Application code was not rewritten. NexQloud monitoring has recorded no unplanned downtime.

A NanoServer is an ISV-certified Lenovo device built on the Intel Core i9-14900T, which Intel rates at 35 watts across 32 hardware threads. It needs no cooling plant or power distribution, so it can sit in a building already lit and conditioned.

"Solomon e3 was not stuck on AWS. It was surrounded by AWS," said Raju Vegesna, Chief Technology Officer of NexQloud. "Once search and geospatial were running on our infrastructure, the rest got simpler."

DynamoDB, S3 and AWS Glue remain as bridge components while Postgres with PostGIS is built out as the production data layer.

A Bill That No Longer Matched the Product

Solomon e3 cloud bill had climbed for a year. "Our bill grew to a size that did not match our product, and I couldn't tell you why," said Aaron Wright, CEO of Solomon e3. "NexQloud went line by line and showed us what each one was doing."

Solomon e3 provided its bill, codebase and infrastructure definitions. NexQloud's engineers read the three against each other to establish which services were running, which were billing, and which were doing neither, a Qlarity FinOps review: the principles NexQloud's Qlarity product automates, applied by hand.

The savings came from three areas. Idle resources: services billing while doing no work were retired. Overprovisioned capacity: workloads resized to the measured load. Less expensive compute: for identical shapes, NexQloud costs about a third less than AWS at published list prices.

The Question

"We spend our days telling people how to use less energy, while running our platform on infrastructure that strains the grid was a contradiction we thought we had to accept," said Wright. "The cost results raised a second question. If this architecture uses infrastructure differently, does it change the energy required for the same workload? That is what we want measured independently."

Solomon e3 and NexQloud will commission an independent academic review of cost, compute, energy efficiency, and publish the findings.

The Figures

The "about a third" figure compares identical configurations at published list prices in us-east-2, on-demand, no Savings Plan applied. The "more than half" figure is Solomon e3 own, measured across total cloud spend including AWS services still in use.

The service-by-service teardown, the price comparison and the availability record are published at nexqloud.io/proof/solomon-e3, which also publishes commands any reader can run to confirm the platform runs on NexQloud infrastructure.

''Selbstverständlich Selbstmedikation'' in Stuttgart: Mehr Eigenverantwortung im Gesundheitswesen

Berlin (ots)
