Locally Owned Swim School Brings Year-Round Swim Instruction, Water Safety Education and a Family-Focused Approach Designed to Help Children Love the Water for Life

ARLINGTON, Texas, Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Water Wings Swim School, a year-round swim school dedicated to helping children build confidence in and around the water and part of youth enrichment platform Unleashed Brands, is making waves in Mansfield-Arlington South with the opening of its newest location at 6501 South Cooper St, Suite 101-C. The school will celebrate its grand opening on September 12, bringing families a fun, supportive environment where swimmers of all ages can develop essential water safety skills, achieve personal milestones and discover a lifelong love of the water.

Meet the Local Franchise Owners

The new Water Wings Swim School location is owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Ekene and Rosaline Ogbechie, local entrepreneurs with professional backgrounds in the oil and gas industry, where Ekene worked as an subsea engineer and Rosaline as a professional accountant. While living in Scotland, the couple became passionate about expanding access to water safety education after learning that drowning is one of the leading causes of death in Nigeria. Inspired to make a difference, they invested their life savings to open Nigeria's first heated indoor swim academy in 2022, creating opportunities for children and families to learn lifesaving swim skills year-round. After relocating from Scotland to the United States, the Ogbechies recognized a similar need for accessible, year-round swim education in Mansfield-Arlington South and partnered with Water Wings to continue their mission of helping children and families build confidence, develop essential water safety skills and prevent drowning. Looking ahead, they hope to open 10 swim schools over the next 10 years in communities with limited access to quality swim instruction, including future expansion in Africa.

"Opening our swim school in Nigeria and seeing the impact it had on helping save lives reinforced just how important access to quality swim education can be," said Rosaline. "That experience inspired my husband and me to continue our mission here in the Mansfield-Arlington South area. Through Water Wings, we hope to equip every swimmer with the confidence and skills they need to be safe in and around the water while expanding access to communities that need it most."

Grand Opening Celebration

The community is invited to celebrate the grand opening of Water Wings Mansfield-Arlington South during its Splash Bash, Saturday, September 12. Guests will have the opportunity to tour the facility, meet instructors, learn about Water Wings' swim programs and enjoy family-friendly activities designed to celebrate the school's arrival in the community.

Following the Splash Bash, Water Wings Mansfield-Arlington South will host free preview classes Monday through Friday, September 14-18th, giving families the opportunity to experience lessons before the school's official opening.

Guests are encouraged to RSVP to the grand opening event at the Water Wings Mansfield-Arlington South website.

BETR LAUNCHES "BETR 2.0" SUPER APP WITH PREDICTION MARKETS AND NEW FLAGSHIP CAMPAIGN FEATURING JEREMY PIVEN, ADRIAN GRENIER, JAKE PAUL, LONZO BALL AND GELO BALL

Piven and Grenier reunite on screen as Betr introduces the next evolution of its brand and product, bringing Picks, Predictions, Social Sportsbook, Social Casino, and Arcade together in one real-money gaming super app

MIAMI, Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Jeremy Piven and Adrian Grenier are back together, this time entering the world of Betr. The Entourage stars reunite on screen in a new flagship campaign alongside Jake Paul, Lonzo Ball, and Gelo Ball to introduce Betr 2.0, marking the next evolution of the real-money gaming company founded by Joey Levy and Paul as it builds towards becoming a mainstream real-money gaming super app in the United States.

At the center of Betr 2.0 is the launch of prediction markets over a phased rollout in beta to eligible users in select states, with a full release planned for later this football season through Betr's integration with Polymarket. The launch makes Betr the first consumer app to launch an integration with Polymarket and brings another major product into the Betr ecosystem, with Rips and additional products still to come.

The new campaign spot, titled SOMETHING BETR, can be viewed HERE.

The campaign showcases how dramatically Betr has expanded since its launch, bringing together sports, gaming, entertainment and culture while highlighting the growing number of ways consumers can play across the platform.

"It's been a long time since the two of us have shared a screen, and the second we got back together, it felt like no time had passed," said Jeremy Piven and Adrian Grenier. "There's a chemistry and shorthand that comes from everything we experienced together, and it was great to tap back into that and have some fun with it again. We've both gone on to do a lot since those days, so when Betr gave us the opportunity to reunite in such an unexpected way, it made this one pretty special. We think fans are going to have as much fun seeing us back together as we had making it, and we couldn't think of a better partner than Betr to work with on this – we love their super app and brand and are thrilled to be involved with the company."

Betr 2.0 reflects how significantly the company has evolved since launching in 2022. What began with a narrower focus on microbetting has grown into a broader gaming platform spanning five products, with other new products to be launched soon.

Predictions represents the latest step in that expansion. Through its integration with Polymarket, Betr users will initially be able to access prediction markets covering sports, with additional real-world event markets expected over time.

"Betr today is a fundamentally different company than the one we launched, and Predictions going live is an important milestone that allows us to introduce Betr 2.0 and the Super App we've been building towards," said Joey Levy, Founder and CEO of Betr. "Prediction markets are a natural and important extension of that strategy. Nobody knows exactly how the regulatory environment will play out, so having several products regulated differently within one unified experience gives us a differentiated position in the market. We are now the first consumer app to launch Polymarket markets, and we expect to be their largest consumer partner for some time. We have also launched four new products in just 13 months, demonstrating our best-in-class product velocity and unique ability to execute upon an ambitious super app strategy. We plan on launching Rips soon and expect to have at least seven products live within the Betr super app by this time next year, all while rapidly improving and expanding our existing products."

The launch of Betr 2.0 also introduces an evolved visual and verbal identity designed to better reflect the breadth of the company today. The updated brand builds on the equity Betr has established since launch while creating a more mature and unified identity capable of spanning its growing portfolio of gaming products.

The flagship campaign brings that evolution to life through Piven, Grenier, Paul and the Ball brothers, pairing familiar faces from sports and entertainment with the expanded Betr product experience.

Betr 2.0 and SOMETHING BETR launch September 8, 2026. Prediction markets are beginning a phased rollout to eligible Betr users in select states.

About Betr

Founded in 2022 by Joey Levy and Jake Paul, Betr has built the world's first real-money gaming super app. The Betr super app currently consists of Picks, Predictions, Social Sportsbook, Social Casino, and Arcade, with Rips and additional products coming soon. Betr has one million paying users and is one of the fastest-growing companies in the industry, as well as the world's most-followed real-money gaming brand on social media.

Opening-up fuels trade in services
Original HTML

BEIJING, Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The following article was published today by China Daily.

China's deeper opening-up in the services sector is set to bolster the global competitiveness of Chinese service providers and generate new growth opportunities for the global business community, according to market analysts and business executives.

Rather than merely aiming to narrow its services trade deficit, China is poised to expand room for both imports and exports via wider market access and regulatory liberalization. Digital services, technology-intensive services and other emerging segments are expected to emerge as key drivers of services trade growth, experts noted.

The comments came ahead of the 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services, scheduled to run from Wednesday to Sunday in Beijing. Around 90 countries, regions and international organizations will stage exhibitions or events, while more than 1,800 companies will participate off-line, underscoring the fair's role as a key platform for opening up China's services sector and for international cooperation.

In a congratulatory letter to the 2025 China International Fair for Trade in Services, held in Beijing last year, President Xi Jinping said China will remain firmly committed to expanding high-standard opening-up and accelerate the opening of its services market in an orderly manner on platforms including pilot free trade zones and national demonstration zones for the innovative development of trade in services.

China is ready to work with all parties to jointly promote open and innovative cooperation in global trade in services, build an open world economy, and continuously inject new impetus into building a community with a shared future for humanity, Xi said.

China's trade in services totaled nearly 4.45 trillion yuan ($663 billion) in the first seven months of 2026, up 8.3 percent year-on-year, data from the Ministry of Commerce showed.

Services exports rose 17.1 percent year-on-year to over 1.77 trillion yuan. Services imports reached 2.67 trillion yuan, up 3.2 percent from a year earlier. The country's services trade deficit stood at 900.25 billion yuan in the first seven months of this year.

Analysts and government officials said China's services trade should not be judged solely by the size of its deficit, as shifts in the composition of imports and exports point to a broader structural transformation, while the country's growing demand for high-quality services is creating substantial opportunities for businesses worldwide.

Nie Pingxiang, a researcher at the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation in Beijing, said continued demand for imported services reflects greater market openness, while the rapid expansion of knowledge-intensive exports signals China's growing competitiveness in higher-value services.

Knowledge-intensive services also remain a pillar of China's services exports. Exports of such services, which include telecommunications, information technology, finance, intellectual property and other business services, rose 12.2 percent year-on-year to 948.28 billion yuan during the January-July period, accounting for 53.5 percent of the country's total services exports, statistics from the Ministry of Commerce showed.

Yan Dong, vice-minister of commerce, said China will step up efforts to cultivate new drivers of trade in services during the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30) period, as shifts in global industrial chains and accelerating digital and green transitions create new opportunities for the sector.

Yan said the government will strengthen the international competitiveness of producer services, promote exports in areas such as research and development, design, testing, maintenance and supply-chain logistics, and harness technologies including artificial intelligence and cloud computing to develop new models for trade in services.

Beijing, the host city for the CIFTIS, is emerging as a key testing ground for this next phase of services-sector opening-up, with new measures aimed at expanding market access, facilitating cross-border flows and fostering new drivers of trade in services.

The continued opening-up of China's services sector is creating new opportunities for global service providers, as the expansion of two-way trade, digitalization and the internationalization of Chinese companies generates greater demand for cross-border logistics and other professional services.

Poh-Yian Koh, president for China at United States logistics company FedEx Corp, said China's continued opening-up and the expansion of trade in services are creating more opportunities for multinational companies in the Chinese market.

"More resilient and diversified global supply chains, along with the continued growth of digital trade and cross-border e-commerce, are generating new demand for international logistics and connectivity," she said.

TrueBridge Capital Partners Announces Close of Second Venture Secondaries Fund

Oversubscribed fund builds on TrueBridge's venture platform to pursue a growing opportunity set across fund and company secondaries

CHAPEL HILL, N.C., Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- TrueBridge Capital Partners, a venture capital investment firm, today announced the final close of TrueBridge Secondaries II, L.P. ("Secondaries II"), with $508 million in commitments. The fund received support from new and existing investors, including foundations and endowments, pension funds, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals.

Secondaries II invests in venture funds as well as direct secondary investments in venture-backed companies, with an emphasis on opportunities where the firm's relationships, information, and underwriting capabilities provide an advantage.

The Fund launches at a time of significant growth in the secondary market. As venture-backed companies remain private longer and traditional paths to liquidity have become less predictable, investors, employees and other shareholders are increasingly turning to secondary transactions for liquidity. At the same time, a larger and more mature universe of private technology companies has expanded the opportunity set for secondary investors.

"The evolution of the venture market has created an important role for secondaries, both as a source of liquidity and as another route for investors to access high-quality venture assets," said Andrew Winslow, Partner at TrueBridge. "Our relationships across the venture ecosystem give us access to secondary opportunities that are often not broadly available, including sought-after venture funds and companies that can be difficult for investors to access through traditional channels. That access allows us to be highly selective and build concentrated portfolios around the assets where we have the greatest conviction, while our deep familiarity with the underlying managers and companies gives us an additional advantage in evaluating those opportunities."

TrueBridge's secondaries strategy draws on nearly 20 years of investing across the venture ecosystem. Longstanding relationships with leading venture managers provide the firm with visibility into thousands of venture-backed companies and potential fund-level opportunities. The firm's direct investment platform provides an additional perspective on individual companies, their markets, and their financing histories. Together, these capabilities allow TrueBridge to identify, evaluate, and access secondary transactions with a depth of context that can be difficult to replicate.

The close of Secondaries II follows TrueBridge Secondaries I, the firm's first dedicated venture secondaries fund, which closed with $230 million in commitments in 2024. The strategy is part of TrueBridge's broader venture investment platform spanning fund investments, direct investments, secondaries, and customized solutions.

AMAZON DELIVERY DRIVERS DEMAND TEAMSTERS RECOGNITION AT DRI1 FACILITY

Over 90 Drivers March on Boss to Announce Unionization After Labor Day

PROVIDENCE, R.I., Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Amazon delivery drivers at the DRI1 facility in Providence, R.I., marched on the boss today to announce their unionization with Teamsters Local 251 and demand Amazon begin the process of bargaining a collective agreement.

The drivers operate out of Amazon's largest last-mile facility in Rhode Island and are the first Amazon workers in the state to unionize with the Teamsters. The union organizing drive at DRI1 represents the latest Teamsters action to hold Amazon accountable in the state, with Rhode Island Teamsters helping to successfully pass the Rhode Island Warehouse Worker Protection Act into law earlier this summer.

"Amazon workers across the country are fed up with this company's greed and neglect. The drivers at DRI1 are taking a brave step to become the first in Rhode Island to take on Amazon," said Randy Korgan, Director of the Teamsters Amazon Division. "There is no Amazon facility too big or small for workers to join the fight. Wherever Amazon workers demand fair pay and safer jobs, the Teamsters will be there to hold this $3 trillion company accountable."

"DRI1 delivery drivers are putting their feet down and joining the most important organizing effort in America today," said Matt Taibi, Secretary-Treasurer of Local 251 and Teamsters Eastern Region Vice President. "We couldn't be prouder to have these courageous men and women join the Teamsters family. They will show the world what it means to be Teamsters."

Amazon Teamsters at DRI1 are fighting for better pay, health care, and safety at the e-retail giant's most important Rhode Island facility. They join over 10,000 workers across more than 12 facilities in the nation who have organized with the Teamsters.

"We work for one of the richest companies on the planet, but they won't give us a livable wage, they ignore our safety concerns, and then say we don't even work for them," said Fred German, an Amazon driver out of the DRI1 facility and new member of Local 251. "We have had enough. We are proud to join the Teamsters and Amazon workers across the country demanding we get treated with the respect every human being deserves."

QA FAIL (need review): TARGET includes a factual claim not in SOURCE: 'Amazon has disputed direct employment relationships with delivery drivers in past labor disputes.' The SOURCE only quotes a driver saying Amazon tells workers 'we don't even work for them.' This invented factual assertion goes beyond the source's explicit content.
