KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a global leading provider of integrated information and communication technology solutions, officially opened the 15th ZTE Global Summit & User Congress today under the theme "Architecting Infinity–From Connectivity to Digital Value".

Co-located for the first time with the GSMA M360 ASEAN, this event marks ZTE's largest annual overseas self-hosted forum. It gathers over 500 distinguished participants, including government officials, ICT industry leaders, operator executives, innovative enterprises, and ecosystem partners, to engage in deep discussions on future network evolution, the integration of AI and digital innovation, and regional digital economic growth.

YB Dato' Seri Fahmi Fadzil, Minister of Communications, Malaysia, emphasized that Malaysia's next digital phase must move beyond connectivity deployment towards creating tangible value through better public services, stronger businesses and greater opportunities for Malaysians. Calling on global technology partners to "not only sell into Malaysia, but build with Malaysia," he highlighted the importance of developing local talent, strengthening national capabilities and fostering innovation that can serve the wider ASEAN market.

YB Gobind Singh Deo, Minister of Digital, Malaysia, pointed out, "Malaysia's next phase of digital competitiveness hinges on translating artificial intelligence into tangible economic and societal value, boosting productivity, improving public services and opening higher-value opportunities for our people. To become an AI Nation by 2030, we must look beyond infrastructure to cultivate local talent, foster trusted governance and empower homegrown innovators to scale global solutions."

Ouyang Yujing, Ambassador Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Malaysia, noted, "Connectivity defines our era, and innovation shapes our future. While digital networks bridge the world, AI is powering a new era of shared prosperity. Embracing the global digital wave, China champions growth that is open, inclusive, secure, and mutually beneficial. We stand ready to work with global partners to deepen tech exchanges, drive industrial synergy, co-create standards, and unite in collaborative governance."

Xie Junshi, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of ZTE, delivered a keynote address on behalf of the organizer. He noted, "Across the globe, connectivity and computing are coming together. This is a major industry trend. Global 5G keeps expanding with steady growth. At the same time, AI has become a key growth driver for the industry. Different markets move at different paces, yet we all share one clear direction: from building computing power, to making good use of computing power.

Against this market backdrop, ZTE has upgraded our strategy to Connectivity plus Computing. We see AI as the brain, communication infrastructure as the nervous system, and terminals as the carrier. When these three elements come together, they will reshape our society and daily life. Solid underlying technologies are our foundation. This defines where we are heading."

He emphasized: "Connectivity built our foundation. Intelligence is our momentum. Infinity is our horizon — and together, we will Architect it."

Zhang Wanchun, Senior Vice President of ZTE, delivered a keynote speech titled "A New Phase of Digital Infrastructure". In his speech, he emphasized, "Our quest is a four-fold journey: vision means finding our long-term direction, volume means deploying innovations with scale and quality, value means turning the infrastructure into value-creation systems, and venture means pushing boundaries even further."

During the summit, ZTE comprehensively demonstrated AI-empowered and redefined connectivity, efficient Token production, and value realization, mapping out a commercial roadmap from connectivity and computing infrastructure to scenario-based terminals.

As a bridge connecting technology, markets, and the industrial ecosystem, ZTE Global Summit & User Congress 2026 delivered an innovative, forward-looking event. ZTE seeks to explore with stakeholders, building COMPETITIVENESS driven by shared VISION, realized through VOLUME, translated into VALUE, and extended via VENTURE.

"The service center is positioned as a comprehensive, centralized service hub, with a large inventory of parts, inspection facilities, professional service bays, and dedicated training equipment," said Jack Li, CEO of Yutong Central and Northern Europe. "Through efficient operations, we aim to help reduce customers' total cost of ownership and maximize bus uptime. By strengthening partnerships and expanding service coverage, we aim to deliver cost-effective services and create shared value while helping make public transport greener, smarter, and more inclusive."

One‑stop service ecosystem: from parts supply to integrated service support across the fleet lifecycle

With the local service center and dedicated on‑ground team, Yutong consolidates parts supply, fault diagnostics, maintenance, and professional training into a single service system, improving service efficiency and delivering full‑lifecycle fleet support for Norwegian passenger transport and bus operators. The Center features a comprehensive reception area, maintenance and repair zone, parts storage area, hands-on training space, vehicle display area, and brand experience zone, offering local customers an integrated service package spanning everything from vehicle sales and delivery to after‑sales repairs, parts supply, and technical training.

Through its local team, standardized maintenance and inspection procedures, parts inventory and training capabilities, Yutong continues to deliver on its "EnRoute+" global service commitment. As Yutong's first comprehensive service center in Europe, the facility further underscores the company's long-term commitment to serving European customers. Building on the Norway service center, Yutong will continue to advance its localized service approach in markets including the Netherlands, Chile, Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia. These efforts will strengthen local capabilities in electric bus repair, maintenance and inspection, improve service responsiveness, create more high-quality local jobs and support the electrification and low-carbon transition of public transport.

Insilico Medicine Doses First Patient in GENESIS-IPF-3, the World's First Phase III Trial of a Generative AI-Driven Innovative Drug

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Insilico Medicine ("Insilico," HKEX: 3696), a clinical-stage biotechnology company powered by generative AI, today announced that it has dosed the first patient with Rentosertib (known as ISM001-055 / INS018_055) in GENESIS-IPF-3, a Phase III clinical trial (NCT07687459, CTR20262475) at Peking Union Medical College Hospital, while Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital has also enrolled its first patient on the same day.

The Phase III clinical trial is a prospective, multi-center, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group study designed to systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of once-daily Rentosertib administered over 52 weeks. The study is led by Professor Zuojun Xu of Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences as the Leading Principal Investigator (Leading PI), with Academician Nanshan Zhong of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, a renowned expert in respiratory medicine, and President Chang Chen of Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital serving as Co-Leading Principal Investigators (Co-Leading PIs).

As Leading PI of the study, Professor Zuojun Xu from Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, commented: "TNIK, the target driven by AI, had never previously been linked to fibrosis. This perhaps indicates that AI is carving out a path distinct from traditional research paradigms in target discovery for complex diseases. Dosing the first patient marks another key clinical milestone for Rentosertib; after preliminary findings in the 12 week duration phase IIa study showed promising results, including improvements in lung function among patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). This Phase III study is designed to validate the phase IIa study findings in a larger cohort of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis patients treated for a longer duration of 52 weeks. From initiating Phase III to obtaining final regulatory approval, it will take three to four years under favorable conditions. We look forward to Rentosertib achieving its primary endpoints and successfully securing market approval to benefit IPF patients."

Till today, Insilico has published multiple peer-reviewed papers to document the milestones of Rentosertib along the R&D journey, all the way from target identification to Phase IIa positive results. In 2024, a Nature Biotechnology publication demonstrated the AI-driven early discovery process of Rentosertib. In 2025, a Nature Medicine study reported Phase IIa results of Rentosertib, demonstrating a promising dose-dependent efficacy trend. Most recently, in 2026, a Nature Biotechnology study revealed a consistent reduction in biological age after Rentosertib dosage, across six independent biological aging clocks.

"I believe Rentosertib will be transformative to patient care in the field of IPF, and AI has enabled this breakthrough with higher speed and reduced cost, which could make a lot of difference in the future of drug discovery," said Carol Satler, MD, PhD, Senior Vice President for Clinical Development, Non-Oncology at Insilico Medicine. "With the first patient dosed, we hope to see real-world improvements and further validate the favorable findings observed in Phase IIa study, and to witness the rapid translation of a scientific concept into potential patient benefit in record time."

Insilico's dual-purpose therapeutic strategy is also proving its viability as a sustainable commercial model. Recently, Insilico reported total revenue of approximately $106 million in the first half of 2026, a 287% year-over-year increase, and achieved its first profitable half-year since listing, with an adjusted net profit exceeding $51 million. This milestone was driven by a series of out-licensing, co-development, and R&D collaborations with global partners, including Eli Lilly, Servier, Takeda, SK Biopharmaceuticals, Qilu Pharmaceutical, Hygtia Therapeutics, CMS, and Tenacia. As of the latest practicable date, the total contract value of transactions announced by Insilico in 2026 reached approximately $7.3 billion, pushing the cumulative contract value of its major collaborations since 2021 approximately $11 billion.

On the AI-driven R&D front, Insilico nominated nine development candidates within nine months of 2026 as of late August, setting a new company record for annual pipeline productivity and achieving eight clinical milestones across its proprietary and co-developed programs. Leading this progress is rentosertib (ISM001-055), the world's first drug candidate discovered and developed using generative AI, which has advanced to a Phase III trial evaluating for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). In addition, Insilico Medicine launched a comprehensive set of benchmarks that allow foundation models to be evaluated in all tasks needed for drug discovery and launched state of the art (SOTA) foundation models outperforming other models and even internal tools in benchmarks. Using this new capability Insilico hopes to expand and accelerate longevity drug discovery and development both in terms of scale, therapeutic modalities, and indications.

About the Phase III Clinical Trial

The Phase III clinical trial will evaluate Rentosertib in patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. The 52-week prospective, randomized, multi-center, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group Phase III study in patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis is expected to enroll a total of 320 participants across 47 centers in China. The primary endpoint is the annual rate of decline in forced vital capacity (FVC) over 52 weeks. The Key secondary endpoint is time to first occurrence of any disease progression event. The trial is intended to assess whether Rentosertib can provide clinically meaningful benefit in a larger patient population and over a longer treatment period than the Phase IIa study. While the initiation of the Phase III trial represents an important milestone in the development of Rentosertib, the drug remains investigational and has not been approved by any regulatory authority.

About Rentosertib

Rentosertib is a potentially first-in-class small molecule targeting TNIK developed utilizing generative AI. In IPF, the activation of TNIK drives pathological fibrosis in the lungs, contributing to the progressive decline in lung function. By inhibiting TNIK, Rentosertib aims to halt or reverse fibrotic processes, offering a disease-modifying treatment for patients with IPF. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration granted Orphan Drug Designation to Rentosertib for IPF in February 2023.

The program's discovery-to-clinic development was published in Nature Biotechnology, its Phase IIa clinical results were published in Nature Medicine, and its medicinal chemistry was published in the Journal of Medicinal Chemistry. Recently, Rentosertib has demonstrated potential to reverse biological age, with the data and analysis results supported by six different aging clock models published in Nature Biotechnology.

About Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF)

Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) is a chronic, scarring lung disease characterized by a progressive and irreversible decline in lung function. Affecting approximately 5 million people worldwide, IPF carries a poor prognosis, with a median survival of 3 to 4 years. Current approved treatments, including antifibrotic drugs, can slow disease progression but do not stop or reverse it, leaving a significant unmet need for more effective, disease-modifying therapies.

About Insilico Medicine

Insilico Medicine is a pioneering global biotechnology company dedicated to integrating artificial intelligence and automation technologies to accelerate drug discovery, drive innovation in the life sciences, and extend healthy longevity to people on the planet. The company was listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on December 30, 2025, under the stock code 03696.HK.

Details of the case: According to the lawsuit, defendants made materially false and/or misleading statements and/or failed to disclose that: (1) HDFC Bank camouflaged payments as marketing spend to pay higher interest to a state firm in order to induce deposits; (2) these activities were approved by senior management; (3) these activities likely violated regulations and HDFC Bank's own policies, including those that prohibit payments that could constitute improper inducement; (4) as a result of the foregoing, HDFC Bank's interest income and operating expenses were overstated; and (5) as a result of the foregoing, defendants' positive statements about HDFC Bank's business, operations, and prospects were materially misleading and/or lacked a reasonable basis. When the true details entered the market, the lawsuit claims that investors suffered damages.

What is this about: On May 22, 2026, Reuters published an article entitled "China to crack down on 'illegal' cross-border securities."

Houston Couple Brings a Personal Approach to Recovery and Wellness to the Energy Corridor with New beem® Studio

Locally owned wellness destination will offer private infrared sauna and red light therapy, with Founding Member rates available ahead of its mid-September opening.

HOUSTON, Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- For Clyde and Denia Smith, wellness is more than a trend – it is something their family has experienced firsthand. Now, the Houston couple is bringing that perspective to the Energy Corridor with the opening of beem® Energy Corridor, a new private wellness studio at 1560 Eldridge Pkwy #148, set to welcome its first guests in mid-September.

The Smiths' decision to open beem® was shaped by their own health and healing journeys. Denia is a breast cancer survivor, while Clyde has experienced sports injuries and chronic pain. Through those experiences, the couple developed a deeper appreciation for proactive wellness and the importance of creating time to recover – ultimately inspiring them to build a business centered around helping others recharge.

"Opening beem® isn't just a business launch for us – it's deeply personal," said Clyde. "We've both experienced how easy it is to put your own health and recovery last. We wanted to create a place where people can step away from the demands of everyday life, take care of themselves, and leave feeling genuinely restored."

At beem® Energy Corridor, guests will have access to private suites featuring infrared sauna, red light therapy, and chromotherapy. Rather than a crowded or communal wellness environment, beem® is designed to give each guest dedicated time and space to relax, recharge, and make the experience their own.

The concept is particularly suited to the pace of life in West Houston, where busy professionals, families, athletes, and active adults often balance demanding work schedules with little time for recovery. Guests can spend their session unwinding with their favorite music, podcast, or show while enjoying a private wellness experience designed to fit easily into their routines.

For the Smiths, choosing the Energy Corridor was equally personal. West Houston was where the couple first settled after moving to the United States, making the opportunity to open a business on Eldridge Parkway feel like a homecoming.

"This community welcomed us when we first came to the United States, so being able to open beem® here feels incredibly meaningful," said Smith. "We want to give back by creating a space that feels like a sanctuary – somewhere people can come for 40 minutes, disconnect from the noise, and reconnect with themselves."

As the studio prepares to open, beem® Energy Corridor is focused on becoming more than a wellness destination. The Smiths plan to build relationships throughout the community through partnerships with local businesses, fitness facilities, healthcare providers, schools, corporate teams, and civic organizations.

The studio will begin welcoming guests in mid-September 2026, with Founding Member rates, complimentary first two sessions, and additional local partnerships planned around the opening.
