In HelloNation, HVAC Experts Rick Liberti And Jon McCartha Explain High Summer Energy Bill Causes And Solutions
Original HTML

The article outlines how HVAC system issues, maintenance gaps, and home efficiency problems can increase cooling costs during peak summer months.

CHAPIN, S.C., Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Why does a high summer energy bill seem to rise so quickly, even when household habits stay the same? HelloNation has published an article that provides clear answers, featuring insights from HVAC Experts Rick Liberti and Jon McCartha of Mid-State Heating and Air LLC in Chapin, South Carolina.

The HelloNation article explains that a high summer energy bill is often tied to how hard an HVAC system must work during extended periods of heat and humidity. In Chapin, SC, long cooling seasons place continuous demand on systems, increasing cooling costs as units run longer to maintain comfort.

One of the most common contributors to rising cooling costs is dirty filters. The article notes that dirty filters restrict airflow, forcing the HVAC system to use more energy to circulate air. This added strain not only increases a high summer energy bill but can also reduce overall comfort inside the home.

The article also highlights poor insulation as a key factor behind elevated cooling costs. When cooled air escapes through walls, attics, or gaps around doors and windows, the HVAC system must work harder to replace that lost air. In homes with poor insulation, even a well-functioning system may struggle to maintain consistent indoor temperatures, leading to higher energy use in Chapin, SC.

Another issue discussed is the impact of an aging system. The article explains how an aging system can lose efficiency over time, especially when routine AC maintenance is delayed. While the unit may still operate, it often consumes more electricity, contributing to a high summer energy bill and ongoing increases in cooling costs.

Thermostat settings also play an important role. The HelloNation article explains that lowering the thermostat significantly does not cool a home faster, but it does cause the HVAC system to run longer. This extended operation can unnecessarily increase cooling costs, especially during peak summer heat in Chapin, SC.

Routine AC maintenance is presented as one of the most effective ways to manage a high summer energy bill. The article emphasizes that regular AC maintenance helps identify issues like dirty filters, low refrigerant levels, and worn components before they escalate into larger problems. HVAC Experts note that consistent servicing supports better system performance and helps control cooling costs over time.

The article further explains that signs such as uneven cooling, higher indoor humidity, and longer run times may indicate deeper HVAC inefficiencies. These symptoms are often linked to a combination of dirty filters, poor insulation, and an aging system, all of which can increase a high summer energy bill if left unaddressed.

The article recommends a proactive approach for homeowners in Chapin, SC. Keeping filters clean, sealing air leaks, improving insulation, and scheduling regular AC maintenance can all help reduce wasted energy. While these steps may not eliminate cooling costs entirely, they can make a high summer energy bill more manageable and predictable.

The HelloNation article concludes that rising summer energy use is rarely caused by a single issue. Instead, it is often the result of multiple factors working together, including HVAC system strain, dirty filters, poor insulation, and an aging system. Addressing these areas collectively can improve efficiency and help stabilize cooling costs during the hottest months.

Why Is My Energy Bill So High in the Summer? features insights from Rick Liberti and Jon McCartha, HVAC Experts of Chapin, South Carolina, in HelloNation.

VITAMIN ANGELS LAUNCHES FIVE-YEAR STRATEGY TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH OF 477 MILLION WOMEN AND CHILDREN THROUGH PROVEN NUTRITION INTERVENTIONS
Image File
Original HTML

Vitamin Angels 2030: Science. Systems. Scale. is designed to reach 477 million women and children by 2030, an impact the organization estimates will protect 10 million women and children from malnutrition, save the lives of 360,000 children, and reduce the risk of infectious disease for 300,000 children across 57 countries.

GOLETA, Calif., Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Vitamin Angels announced the launch of Vitamin Angels 2030: Science. Systems. Scale., an ambitious five-year strategy designed to reach 477 million at-risk women and children with life-saving nutrition solutions across 57 countries. Through this work, Vitamin Angels estimates that it will protect 10 million women and children from malnutrition, save the lives of 360,000 children ages 0–5, and reduce the risk of infectious disease for 300,000 children ages 0–5.

Built on three connected principles—science, systems, and scale—the strategy reflects Vitamin Angels' commitment to deepening its scientific leadership and implementation expertise, strengthening the systems and partnerships that turn proven solutions into sustainable impact, and working alongside governments and partners to expand proven nutrition interventions at the magnitude the global challenge demands. Together, these principles provide a framework for advancing Vitamin Angels' mission to save lives and improve the health of women and children most at risk through proven nutrition solutions.

The strategy launches at a pivotal moment in global health when the need for proven nutrition solutions has never been greater and the world is still falling short of delivering them at the scale required. In 2024, 150.2 million children under age five were affected by stunting and 42.8 million by wasting. In 2023, nearly one in three women ages 15–49 experienced anemia, including more than one in three pregnant women, increasing the risk of poor maternal and birth outcomes. Effective and affordable nutrition interventions exist, yet millions of women and children continue to lack access to them.

"Vitamin Angels 2030: Science. Systems. Scale. is our response to a changing global health and development landscape," said Ana Céspedes, President and CEO of Vitamin Angels. "We believe change is the only constant, and we have a responsibility to evolve while staying rooted in what has always defined Vitamin Angels: women and children at the center of every decision we make. By deepening our commitment to evidence and implementation science, strengthening the systems and partnerships that turn proven interventions into sustainable impact, and scaling what works, we can help more women and children benefit from solutions that save lives and improve health."

At the center of Vitamin Angels 2030: Science. Systems. Scale. is its new Pathway to Impact, an innovative Theory of Change, supported by an organization-wide Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) system that guides Vitamin Angels' work toward impacting 477 million women and children with proven nutrition interventions over the next five years. The strategy will tailor its approach to each country through three pathways of engagement: Product Access, Capacity Strengthening, and Country Systems Strengthening across 57 countries. In nine of these countries, Vitamin Angels will deepen its engagement by working alongside governments to strengthen policies, local supply, financing, monitoring, and health systems to support long-term, country-led nutrition programs. Together, these pathways provide a flexible framework for responding to country priorities and opportunities while maintaining broad global reach and investing more deeply where stronger systems and long-term partnerships can accelerate sustainable impact.

The Pathway to Impact will be anchored in Vitamin Angels' core nutrition programs, while creating opportunities to layer complementary interventions and expand impact. Vitamin Angels will continue to strengthen and scale Multiple Micronutrient Supplementation (MMS) for pregnant women, vitamin A supplementation and deworming for children up to age five, and other evidence-based nutrition solutions based on country priorities and needs. Through implementation science and lessons learned from country programs, Vitamin Angels will continue adapting its approach to local contexts, helping countries deliver proven nutrition interventions more effectively, sustainably, and at scale.

"For more than 30 years, Vitamin Angels has been driven by the conviction that every woman and child deserves the health they need to thrive," said Jim Hamilton, Chair of the Vitamin Angels Board of Directors. "This strategy honors that legacy while preparing the organization for the future. It reflects a thoughtful evolution of how Vitamin Angels will work—building on what we have learned, strengthening the partnerships and systems that make lasting impact possible, and remaining focused on what matters most: improving the health of women and children most at risk. As we look to 2030, we are committed to carrying this work forward with purpose, accountability, and ambition."

Vitamin Angels 2030: Science. Systems. Scale. is more than a five-year strategy. It is a commitment to women and children who cannot afford to wait for progress and to ensuring that proven nutrition solutions reach those who need them most. The path ahead will require agility, collaboration, and an unwavering focus on outcomes, but the destination is clear: a world where every woman and child has the health and support they need to thrive.

In HelloNation, Insurance Expert David Wolff Outlines Competitive Employee Benefits Packages
Image File
Original HTML

EASTON, Pa., Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- What makes an employee benefits package truly competitive for small businesses? That question is explored in a HelloNation article featuring insights from David Wolff of Kressler Wolff & Miller. The feature outlines how small business owners can build a meaningful benefits program that balances affordability with long term value while addressing employee priorities such as health insurance, retirement savings, and wellness benefits.

The HelloNation article explains that small businesses often face the challenge of competing with larger employers that offer extensive benefits and higher budgets. Yet the article emphasizes that a strong employee benefits package does not depend solely on cost. Instead, it grows from understanding what employees value most. Workers look for stability, clear communication, and benefits that align with their daily needs. By focusing on thoughtful planning and practical options, small businesses can design packages that attract and retain talent without exceeding financial limits.

Health insurance is described as the cornerstone of most benefits discussions. The article highlights how small businesses can explore tiered plans, high deductible options paired with health savings accounts, and network structures that control costs while still offering dependable access to care. Rising premiums remain a concern, but the key is to find a balance between affordability and quality. The HelloNation feature notes that employees often appreciate transparency as much as generosity, meaning that clear explanations of how a plan works can matter just as much as the specific coverage itself.

Retirement savings options form another vital piece of a competitive employee benefits package. The 401k remains a widely trusted and flexible plan for small businesses, offering employees reassurance about their long term financial security. Even modest employer matches can make a significant impression, showing workers that their future matters. The HelloNation article explains that simplicity often leads to success. Automatic enrollment and easy contribution options encourage participation, helping employees build savings steadily over time while keeping administration manageable for employers.

The article also explores cost-effective ways for small businesses to expand their offerings. Dental and vision plans are common additions because they offer practical, predictable costs that employees value. Supplemental life or disability coverage can also be introduced at group rates, providing financial protection in difficult situations. Together, these choices reinforce stability and show that the company is invested in the well being of its team. When combined with solid retirement savings and reliable health insurance, these elements create a balanced and appealing employee benefits package.

Flexibility is another advantage small businesses can offer. While flexible work arrangements are not technically part of an insurance plan, the HelloNation feature explains that they strongly influence job satisfaction. Remote work options, adjusted schedules, and compressed workweeks allow employees to manage family and personal responsibilities more effectively. These options often cost little to implement yet build trust and loyalty. When paired with core benefits, workplace flexibility strengthens both morale and retention.

Listening to employees is another recurring theme in the HelloNation article. Understanding what the workforce truly values allows employers to allocate resources efficiently. Surveys, casual check-ins, or annual reviews can reveal preferences related to health insurance, 401k contributions, or wellness benefits. By focusing spending on benefits that employees actually use, small businesses can avoid waste and deliver greater perceived value.

Regular evaluation of the benefits package ensures that it remains relevant. The article encourages business owners to review participation rates, feedback, and contribution levels each year. Benefits that once fit the workforce may become outdated as company demographics or industry trends change. Periodic review helps maintain competitiveness and ensures that the employee benefits package continues to support both the business's goals and its employees' evolving needs.

Education also plays a key role. The HelloNation feature points out that employees sometimes overlook valuable offerings because they do not fully understand them. Providing clear explanations, summary documents, or brief training sessions helps increase engagement. When employees know how to use their health insurance effectively, compare costs, or adjust 401k contributions, they gain more value from the same set of benefits. Transparency builds confidence and strengthens the relationship between employer and employee.

Wellness benefits represent another area of growing importance. The article suggests that even small gestures, such as gym reimbursements, mental health support, or ergonomic equipment, can make a noticeable difference. These wellness benefits do not have to be elaborate or expensive. What matters is that they reflect genuine care and awareness of workplace needs. By addressing both physical and mental well being, small businesses show a commitment to holistic employee support.

Ultimately, the HelloNation article concludes that creating a competitive employee benefits package for small businesses is about making informed, intentional choices. Health insurance, retirement savings, and wellness benefits form the foundation, while flexibility and education reinforce their impact. A thoughtful approach allows small businesses to compete effectively, retain valuable talent, and build a culture of care and stability that benefits everyone involved.

The article, Creating a Competitive Benefits Package for Small Businesses, features insights from David Wolff, Insurance Expert of Easton, PA, in HelloNation.

Beyond "Ozempic Face": New Review Finds Nutrition May Be the Missing Piece in GLP-1 Skin Changes
Image File
Original HTML

Coauthored by Beverly Hills oculoplastic surgeon Dr. Kami Parsa, the paper describes a striking paradox: the skin is remodeling during rapid weight loss just as appetite and nutritional intake may be declining.

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Beverly Hills oculoplastic and reconstructive surgeon Dr. Kami Parsa has coauthored a new peer-reviewed narrative review examining nutrition as a potentially overlooked contributor to skin changes during GLP-1 receptor agonist-associated weight loss.

The paper, "The Impact of GLP-1 Receptor Agonist–Induced Nutritional Deficiencies on Skin Health: A Narrative Review With a Proposed Framework for the Aesthetic Practitioner," was published September 11, 2026, in Aesthetic Surgery Journal Open Forum. The published paper is available at https://doi.org/10.1093/asjof/ojag169.

Semaglutide and tirzepatide have transformed obesity treatment, but rapid weight loss can produce visible facial changes commonly described as "Ozempic face." While these changes are often attributed primarily to the loss of facial fat, the new review examines a more complete picture involving fat-compartment depletion, collagen remodeling, reduced nutritional intake, and the skin's ability to adapt and repair.

The Nutritional Paradox During Rapid Weight Loss

During rapid weight loss, the skin undergoes an active period of structural remodeling. Human biopsy studies following massive weight loss have demonstrated changes in collagen architecture, including reductions in thick, organized collagen fibers and increases in thinner, more loosely arranged fibers. Although these findings come from broader massive-weight-loss populations rather than exclusively from patients using GLP-1 medications, they demonstrate that significant weight loss can involve measurable changes within the skin itself.

At the same time, GLP-1 medications reduce appetite and total caloric intake, potentially making it more difficult for some patients to consume sufficient protein, vitamins, and minerals needed to support collagen synthesis, tissue remodeling, and wound repair.

"During rapid weight loss, the skin is undergoing major structural remodeling," said Dr. Parsa. "The paradox is that just when the skin may need nutritional support the most, the patient is often consuming substantially less. That is why what patients eat during weight loss matters."

A large claims analysis summarized in the review found that approximately 22.4% of patients received at least one nutritional-deficiency diagnosis within 12 months, including 13.6% who received a vitamin D-deficiency diagnosis. Across the broader literature, the review also identifies inadequate protein intake and deficiencies involving iron, vitamin B12, folate, zinc, and copper as potential concerns. These nutrients have biological roles relevant to skin integrity, collagen synthesis, and tissue repair.

Beyond the Traditional Explanation of "Ozempic Face"

The review concludes that GLP-1-associated facial changes are likely multifactorial. Rapid loss of facial fat remains an important contributor, but inadequate nutritional intake may plausibly compound changes in collagen remodeling and dermal repair.

Importantly, the paper does not demonstrate that GLP-1 medications directly damage collagen. Direct effects of GLP-1 receptor agonists on dermal cells remain preclinical, and prospective studies are needed to determine whether identifying and correcting nutritional deficiencies improves skin or surgical outcomes.

"This is not an argument against GLP-1 medications. These are highly effective treatments," said Dr. Parsa. "It is an argument for combining successful weight-loss treatment with intentional nutrition and better coordination among prescribing, nutritional, and aesthetic clinicians."

A Practical Framework for Aesthetic Practitioners

The paper proposes a risk-stratified framework to help aesthetic practitioners evaluate patients undergoing GLP-1-associated weight loss. Recommendations include reviewing dietary intake and nutritional risk, prioritizing adequate food and protein intake, using targeted laboratory testing in higher-risk patients, correcting identified deficiencies when appropriate, coordinating care with the clinician prescribing the GLP-1 medication, and considering nutritional status and weight stability when planning elective aesthetic procedures.

For patients at elevated nutritional risk, the authors encourage aesthetic practitioners to consider nutritional status and readiness for tissue repair when planning aesthetic treatments or surgery.

Multidisciplinary Authorship

The review was authored by Justin Karlin, MD, MS; Zhaoping Li, MD, PhD; and Kami Parsa, MD.

Dr. Karlin is affiliated with the Division of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the UCLA Stein Eye Institute/Doheny Eye Center. Dr. Li is affiliated with the Division of Clinical Nutrition at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.

The paper was published online September 11, 2026, in Aesthetic Surgery Journal Open Forum, an Oxford University Press publication on behalf of The Aesthetic Society.

Court-Supervised Section 363 Sale to Position Assets Under Ownership Committed to Capital Investment and Long-Term Development

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. and TRONA, Calif., Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Searles Valley Minerals Inc., Trona Railway Company LLC, and Searles Domestic Water Company LLC (collectively, "Searles Valley Minerals" or "the Company" or the "Debtors") today announced that, following a competitive, court-supervised process involving negotiations with multiple parties, the Debtors have successfully negotiated a definitive Asset Purchase Agreement with 5E Advanced Materials, Inc. (Nasdaq: FEAM) and its wholly owned subsidiary, 5E SVM, LLC (collectively, "5E") for the sale of substantially all of their operating assets pursuant to Section 363 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. The Debtors intend to seek approval of the Asset Purchase Agreement at a hearing before the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware (the "Bankruptcy Court") on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.

5E will acquire Searles Valley Minerals' production facilities (Westend and Argus plants), approximately 9,000 acres of Searles Lake brine resources, the Trona Railway short-line railroad, potable water production and distribution facilities, permits, licenses, and related operating assets located in San Bernardino, Kern, and Inyo Counties, California. The consideration comprises (a) $3,357,906 in cash; (b) 8,300,000 shares of common stock of 5E Advanced Materials, Inc.; and (c) and a $6,220,000 senior unsecured note. 5E has secured $10 million in bridge financing from the Company's ultimate parent company to fund the acquisition and provide working capital.

The transaction is expected to close in October 2026, subject to approval by the Bankruptcy Court and satisfaction of customary closing conditions, including, with respect to the Trona Railway railroad assets, required authorization from the Surface Transportation Board.

Dennis Cruise, President of Searles Valley Minerals, stated: "This transaction reflects the successful completion of a disciplined, competitive bidding process. We are confident that 5E is the right steward for these assets. Their capital resources, technical expertise, and strategic commitment to critical minerals supply position the business for continued success and long-term growth. Equally important, this outcome ensures over 150 continuous years of mining operations, clear operational direction for our employees, preserves our customer relationships, and maintains the infrastructure that serves the Trona community. We look forward to working with 5E through the transition to ensure a seamless handoff of operations."

Throughout the bankruptcy process and following closing, Searles Valley Minerals will continue normal operations. Westend will continue to produce boron, sodium sulfate, and other specialty products for customers. The Trona Railway will continue to operate. Searles Domestic Water Company will continue to provide potable water service to the Trona community without interruption.

The draft revised application more than doubles direct customer rate credits, strengthens workforce commitments, and includes a nearly $5 billion commitment to invest in New Mexico's electric grid

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- TXNM Energy, the parent company of PNM, and Blackstone Infrastructure today announced they have filed a motion with the NMPRC seeking authorization to file a revised version of their merger application. The motion included a draft of the revised application that would deliver $300 million in customer and community benefits as part of Blackstone Infrastructure's proposed acquisition of TXNM Energy.

The revised application draft includes $220 million in direct customer rate credits, more than doubling the direct rate credit commitment included in the original application, while expanding commitments to workforce development, economic opportunity, and affordability programs across New Mexico.

"Our focus has been and will continue to be on serving our customers with safe, reliable, affordable energy," said Don Tarry, President and CEO of PNM and TXNM Energy. "These enhanced commitments put real dollars back in customers' pockets, protect the people who do this work every day, and keep PNM locally managed and locally rooted – while giving us the capital to build the grid New Mexico needs."

"This enhanced proposal would deliver unprecedented, tangible benefits directly to customers while helping ensure New Mexico has the resources needed to meet growing energy demand and continue building a reliable, modern electric grid," said Sebastien Sherman and Heidi Boyd, Senior Managing Directors at Blackstone Infrastructure.

The draft revised application includes:

- $220 million in direct customer rate credits.

- $40 million for workforce development and economic development initiatives, including job training, scholarships, apprenticeships, and other programs developed in coordination with state and local stakeholders.

- $25 million for virtual power plant technology to create the necessary infrastructure on the utility side of the meter to coordinate customer resources.

- $15 million for PNM's Good Neighbor Fund, quadrupling annual funding for low-income customer assistance.

- Enhanced worker protections, including no involuntary workforce reductions and no cuts to wages or benefits, continued support for existing labor agreements, and commitments to prioritize local hiring and apprenticeship opportunities.

- A commitment to support PNM's nearly $5 billion capital investment plan, helping the utility meet rising demand, improve reliability, and support New Mexico's long-term energy needs and clean energy goals.

The draft revised application also includes commitments to New Mexico including:

- Maintaining PNM and TXNM Energy's headquarters in New Mexico.

- Preserving New Mexico-based leadership and management.

- Establishing local oversight of economic development funds to support long-term investment in New Mexico.

The proposed transaction remains subject to review and approval by the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission and other customary regulatory approvals.

Georgia Power's Robins Battery Storage achieves commercial operation helping to ensure reliable energy in Georgia

Newest solar connected battery facility in Macon-Bibb County adds 128 MW of storage to grid

ATLANTA, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Georgia Power leaders recently joined state and local officials and leaders from Robins Air Force Base to celebrate the commercial operation of the Robins Battery Facility, a 128-megawatt (MW) battery energy storage system (BESS) located near Warner Robins, Ga. The facility can deliver stored energy to the grid for up to four hours, enhancing grid reliability and flexibility. Paired with the nearby Robins Solar Facility, the battery system strengthens energy resilience and helps support Georgia's continued growth.

Robins Air Force Base Col. Johari Hemphill, Sen. Larry Walker, Sen. David Lucas, Sen. Steven McNeel, Rep. Anissa Jones, Central Georgia Joint Development Authority Chairman James Vaughn, Macon-Bibb County Mayor Lester Miller and other community leaders joined Georgia Power executives to celebrate the commercial operation of the Robins Battery Facility. The event reflected the strong partnerships that helped bring the project to life and highlighted its role in strengthening Georgia's energy infrastructure while supporting economic growth and investment in Macon-Bibb County.

"Seeing the Robins Battery Facility enter commercial operation is an important milestone for Georgia Power and for the future of energy in our state," said Rick Anderson, senior vice president and senior production officer for Georgia Power. "By pairing battery storage with solar generation, we're creating a more flexible and resilient grid that can respond to customer needs during periods of peak demand while supporting Georgia's continued growth. Projects like this demonstrate how we are thoughtfully investing in innovative technologies and working alongside strong community and industry partners to deliver reliable, affordable energy for decades to come."

At the 128 MW Robins Solar and Battery Facility, battery energy storage captures renewable energy during periods of lower customer demand and stores it for use when demand is higher, such as on cold winter mornings or during peak energy use. By pairing solar generation with battery storage, the facility provides greater flexibility and reliability while supporting Georgia's growing energy needs.

The project is part of Georgia Power's broader strategy to add cost-effective energy resources through the Georgia Public Service Commission's (PSC) Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) process. Burns & McDonnell served as the engineering, procurement and construction contractor for the Robins Battery Facility and delivered the project on schedule.

Expanding Battery Storage Across Georgia

The Robins Battery Facility is one of four battery energy storage projects approved in the 2023 IRP Update. Georgia Power has completed battery storage facilities in Cherokee and Lowndes counties totaling 579.5 MW and is nearing completion of a 57.5 MW facility in Floyd County.

The PSC has also approved nine additional BESS facilities across eight sites statewide, adding more than 3,000 MW of energy storage capacity. Sites were selected based on their ability to efficiently support grid operations, including proximity to existing infrastructure, substations and company-owned properties. Planned facilities include locations at Plants Bowen, Hammond, McIntosh, Wansley and Yates, as well as stand-alone sites in Hall and McDuffie counties.

To help meet growing energy needs, Georgia Power has also received approval for two solar facilities paired with battery storage, providing a combined 350 MW of generating capacity. These projects are designed to maximize solar production while minimizing land impacts. The new solar-plus-storage facilities will be located in Laurens and Mitchell counties.

Advantage Technical's Evan Nedwick Named 2027 National Staffing Employee of the Year All-Star

National recognition honors a career journey spanning more than a decade with

Advantage Technical and Ford Motor Company

CINCINNATI, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Advantage Technical, a Staffmark Group company, announced today that Evan Nedwick, a contract professional supporting Ford Motor Company, has been named a 2027 National Staffing Employee of the Year All-Star for the Engineering, Information Technology, and Scientific sector by the American Staffing Association (ASA).

The recognition marks another milestone in a career journey that began more than a decade ago, when Nedwick was working as a technician at his hometown Ford dealership and looking for a way to take his automotive experience in a new direction.

"Working at the dealership was great, but not knowing how to break out of the field and get behind the scenes at something bigger was difficult until I was contacted by Advantage Technical and found out about all the opportunities that were there," Nedwick said.

Nedwick joined Advantage Technical in 2015 and began supporting Ford Motor Company on its Interior/Exterior Prior Approval team. The opportunity introduced him to a different side of the automotive industry, working with engineers, marketing teams and others across the organization while building new technical expertise.

When his position was eliminated during a restructuring in 2021, Nedwick needed to find a new path. Advantage Technical helped him identify another opportunity that matched his experience while giving him the chance to develop an entirely new skill set.

"Advantage Technical worked tirelessly to find additional opportunities in the company that fit my skillset," Nedwick said.

That next opportunity led Nedwick into Ford's mobile service operations, where his responsibilities and expertise continued to grow. His leaders describe him as detail-oriented, proactive and dependable, with a willingness to take ownership of problems and see them through.

"Evan's story shows what staffing can be at its best," said Stacey Lane, CEO of Staffmark Group. "This isn't one job or one placement. It's a partnership that has spanned more than a decade, through new opportunities, a restructuring, new skills and continued growth. Evan brought the talent, curiosity and drive to keep growing, and we're incredibly proud that Advantage Technical has been there to help him build a career and make such a meaningful impact at Ford."

The National Staffing Employee of the Year program recognizes outstanding temporary and contract employees across the country, with All-Stars selected to represent major sectors of the staffing industry. In 2025, U.S. staffing companies employed 9.5 million temporary and contract workers.

Nedwick will be recognized alongside other National Staffing Employee of the Year honorees at ASA's Staffing World convention and expo, Oct. 12–14 in Denver.
