Decision Logic Launches Open Semantic Access, Giving Restaurant Operators the Freedom to Use Their Data With Any AI
Image File
Original HTML

New capability is first to market and gives restaurant leaders direct access to their operating data with the business context AI needs to understand it without any additional fees.

OMAHA, Neb., Sept. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Decision Logic, a provider of back-of-house operations software for restaurants, today announced Open Semantic Access, a new way for restaurant operators to securely use their Decision Logic data with the AI tools they already use.

The idea is simple: your data should work for you, wherever you want to use it.

Restaurant companies generate enormous amounts of operating data across sales, labor, inventory, food cost, and other areas of the business. But getting an answer from that data can still mean requesting a custom report, combining exports from hundreds of restaurants, or buying additional business intelligence software.

Open Semantic Access is designed to remove those barriers and give every large restaurant operator working with Decision Logic the opportunity to move faster as they look to understand how to use AI tools to better manage their business.

Decision Logic customers get read-only access to their operating data; which retains enterprise privacy standards; the ability to export it, and the context that explains what the data means. This ensures an AI tool can understand the difference between gross and net sales, or a case and an individual item, before it begins answering a question.

Restaurant leaders can then use the AI tools their teams already choose to work with, including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and others rather than being locked into a single vendor's disconnected AI chat function.

"Restaurant operators shouldn't have to buy their own data back just because they want to use it with AI," said Keegan Conrey, CEO of Decision Logic. "Open Semantic Access is built around a straightforward principle: it's your data. You should be able to use it with the tools you choose, ask the questions that matter to your business and get answers without waiting for someone else's roadmap."

From waiting for reports to asking questions

For multi-unit restaurant operators, answering a question that falls outside an existing dashboard can become a project of its own. Data may need to be exported restaurant by restaurant, combined and cleaned before analysis can even begin. A new report may take weeks or months to build.

Open Semantic Access changes that workflow by making the underlying data and its definitions available together.

Instead of asking, "Do we have a report for that?" leadership can start with a business question.

An operator could use AI to compare the ideal versus actual performance of a menu item, better understand true guest traffic or build a menu margin view based on its own operating data. What once required a new report or application can become a question, analysis or tool created around the operator's specific needs.

Decision Logic estimates that this approach can make the path from question to answer three to four times faster in applicable use cases.

Open data without an AI toll

Open Semantic Access is included at no additional charge from Decision Logic.

That distinction becomes increasingly important as restaurant brands grow. An illustrative AI or API add-on priced at $300 per restaurant would cost a 450-location organization more than $135,000 annually and increase with every new opening.

With Open Semantic Access, Decision Logic does not charge a per-location fee to turn the capability on.

The approach also gives restaurant companies more flexibility as AI evolves. Customers bring their own tools, methodologies, and credentials, so they can use the technology that works for them today and change it tomorrow without changing the underlying access to their operating data.

"We don't think restaurant companies should have to choose between getting more value from AI and keeping control of their data," said Conrey. "Our job is to make the operating data useful and understandable. The operator should decide what they want to do with it."

Open Semantic Access is available now. Restaurant operators can see it live at the Decision Logic booth at FSTEC 2026 or request a demo at decisionlogic.io/demo.

About Decision Logic

Decision Logic provides restaurant operators with intelligent tools to streamline operations, improve performance, and drive consistency across multi-unit brands. The Decision Logic Platform includes inventory management, food cost intelligence (actual versus theoretical variance, menu item analysis), labor optimization, manager logs and task management including digital line checks, and consolidated sales reporting and analytics. Decision Logic AI continues to redefine how restaurants operate smarter and faster. Current partners include 54th Street Restaurants, RibCrib BBQ, Golden Corral, Taco John's, and Twin Peaks. www.decisionlogic.io

AceMyHomework Expands Personalized Academic Support After Serving 10,000+ Students Across 50+ Subjects

AceMyHomework is expanding personalized academic support after serving more than 10,000 students since 2019.

The platform connects students with more than 500 verified subject experts and provides 24/7 online homework help across more than 50 subjects.

As learning becomes more digital, AceMyHomework is focusing on subject-specific help built around each student's coursework and questions.

TEMPE, Ariz., Sept. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- AceMyHomework today announced an expanded focus on personalized academic support for college students navigating demanding coursework across mathematics, statistics, nursing, programming, business, science and writing.

According to AceMyHomework, the Tempe-based online tutoring platform has served more than 10,000 students since 2019 and connects learners with more than 500 verified subject experts. Its online homework help is available 24/7 across more than 50 academic subjects.

The company says students often have plenty of information available but still struggle to apply it to a specific assignment. A statistics student may know the formulas but be unsure which test fits a dataset. A nursing student may understand the terminology but struggle with the reasoning behind a clinical scenario. A programming student may have code that looks correct but cannot identify why it fails.

"Most students who reach out to us have already tried to work through the problem themselves," said James Macharia, Director of Academic Support at AceMyHomework. "They may have reviewed their notes, searched online or tried an AI tool. What they often need is someone who can look at the exact question and help them understand where they are stuck."

Personalized Support Built Around the Coursework

AceMyHomework's personalized academic support model gives students direct access to subject experts who can work from the assignment requirements and questions they bring. Students can explain what they have tried, provide relevant instructions and ask follow-up questions.

The platform supports more than 50 subject areas, including mathematics, statistics, nursing, programming, biology, chemistry, accounting, finance, economics, business and writing-intensive coursework. Its 24/7 online tutoring model also gives students a place to turn when they are studying outside traditional office hours.

Brand Engagement Network (NASDAQ: BNAI) Reports Filing of Cataneo Financial Statements and Provides Business Update
Image File
Original HTML

WILMINGTON, Del., Sept. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Brand Engagement Network Inc. (Nasdaq: BNAI) ("BEN" or the "Company"), an AI technology company powering intelligent engagement, today announced it has filed a Form 8-K/A with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission providing the financial statements required in connection with its acquisition of Cataneo GmbH, a Munich-based provider of media and advertising infrastructure software, which closed on June 30, 2026.

Key Cataneo Financial Highlights (Pre-Acquisition):

- Cataneo's operating cash flow more than doubled to $1.85 million in fiscal 2025, up from $848,000 in fiscal 2024.

- Cataneo's operating income more than doubled year over year to $726,065 in fiscal 2025, up from $345,725 in fiscal 2024, on revenue of $9.6 million.

- Total contract liabilities — representing future revenue already billed or collected — grew approximately 19% to $4.5 million at year-end 2025, up from $3.8 million at year-end 2024.

- The company continues to execute against its previously disclosed $900,000 annualized cost-synergy target for the Cataneo integration, with additional headcount-related savings identified since that guidance was issued.

"This filing gives investors a transparent look at the business we acquired," said Tyler Luck, Chief Executive Officer of BEN. "Cataneo converts its earnings into cash at a high rate, and its growing base of contracted, recurring revenue gives us real visibility into the business going forward. Integration with our conversational AI platform is progressing, and we see meaningful long-term opportunity in the media and advertising space."

The Cataneo financial information for the years ended December 31, 2025 and 2024 referenced above is audited. Interim financial information as of and for the three months ended March 31, 2026, included in the Form 8-K/A, is unaudited.

"Cataneo's steady operating performance is a testament to the quality of its software solutions and strong product-market fit, and we look forward to sustained business momentum for Cataneo within BNAI," said Walid Khiari, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of BEN.

The filing follows closely on BEN and Cataneo's joint announcement at IBC2026 in Amsterdam earlier this month, where the companies unveiled conversational advertising technology designed to turn traditional commercial breaks into real-time, one-to-one interactions — letting viewers engage directly with AI agents embedded in broadcast and streaming content, rather than watching a static ad. Industry researcher Omdia projects global connected TV advertising revenue will grow from $44 billion in 2025 to $81 billion by 2030, a market BEN and Cataneo are positioning their combined technology to serve.

The acquisition brings Cataneo's MYDAS platform — which supports advertising sales, scheduling, traffic, and monetization for more than 1,000 media brands and over 200 broadcast and digital channels worldwide — into BEN's enterprise AI engagement portfolio.

The Form 8-K/A, including complete financial statements and notes, is available on the SEC's EDGAR system at www.sec.gov.

PrismML Launches Bonsai 2 27B, Its Most Capable Model Yet

New flagship model brings 27B-class reasoning, coding, vision, and agentic capability into a dramatically smaller, faster, and more energy efficient deployment footprint

PASADENA, Calif., Sept. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- PrismML today announced Bonsai 2 27B, its new flagship model based on Qwen3.8 27B. Available as a ternary model, Bonsai 2 27B brings a new generation of reasoning, coding, vision, and agentic capabilities to the Bonsai series.

The release follows PrismML's first Bonsai 27B model, which demonstrated that a 27B-class multimodal model could be compressed enough to run efficiently on a local device. Bonsai 2 27B advances that milestone further, significantly improving model quality while preserving the dramatically smaller deployment footprint that defines the Bonsai series.

At just 5.9 GB, Ternary Bonsai 2 27B reduces memory footprint by more than 9x compared with its full-precision counterpart. However, while the original Ternary Bonsai 27B retained 95% of the aggregate benchmark performance of its full precision counterpart, the new Ternary Bonsai 2 27B retained over 98%. This considerable closing of the gap shows how quickly low-bit models are improving from one generation to the next.

"Bonsai 27B proved that powerful models do not have to be confined to cloud infrastructure," said Babak Hassibi, Founder and CEO of PrismML. "With Bonsai 2 27B, we are closing the quality gap while keeping the same deployment advantages: a dramatically smaller footprint, strong local performance, and the ability to support more demanding workflows such as agentic coding, multimodal understanding, and long-horizon task execution."

"AI deployment has historically forced a choice between model quality and the resources required to run it," said Ion Stoica, Advisor to PrismML and Professor at UC Berkeley. "What is compelling about Bonsai 2 27B is how little capability is lost despite such a dramatic reduction in footprint. If that gap continues to close, it can fundamentally expand where highly capable models can be deployed."

A flagship model for practical local AI

PrismML introduced its first Ternary Bonsai 27B model in July, compressing a 27B-class multimodal model by 9x. Ternary Bonsai 2 27B advances that goal further, significantly improving the tradeoff between model quality, and memory footprint.

This matters because 27B-class models increasingly do far more than answer questions. They reason through complex problems, work across text and visual inputs, write and debug code, call tools, and execute multi-step workflows. For these workloads, deployment is not only about fitting the model into memory. It is also about whether the model can run fast enough, and reliably enough to be useful in real applications.

Ternary Bonsai 2 27B is built for that broader deployment challenge. It is intended for local assistants, multimodal agents, private knowledge workflows, computer-use applications, and long-running agentic tasks that have traditionally depended heavily on cloud inference.

Strong capability retention at a fraction of the footprint

Across a 20-benchmark suite spanning reasoning, math, coding, instruction following, vision, and agentic tool use, Ternary Bonsai 2 27B achieves an aggregate score of 83.9, retaining 98.2% of Qwen3.8 27B's performance of 85.4. The model reaches up to 143 tokens/second on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090.

These gains are central to PrismML's "intelligence density" thesis: the future of AI will not be defined only by larger models in larger datacenters, but by how much useful capability can be delivered per unit of memory, compute, energy and deployment footprint.

Technical Details:

The Ternary Bonsai 2 27B model is a 27.8-billion parameter multimodal language model. It has been trained using Google v5 TPUs. It has been designed for seamless integration with existing AI workflows and is optimized for low-latency inference on consumer-grade CPUs, and edge GPUs.

Pricing and Availability:

Developers, researchers, and other users can download the Ternary Bonsai 2 27B models under the Apache 2.0 license for free starting September 17, 2026.

Minnesota Dairy Workers Secure Major Gains After Strike Authorization

FARMINGTON, Minn., Sept. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- More than 110 members of Teamsters Local 471 at Kemps in Farmington, Minn., have overwhelmingly ratified a new two-year agreement that delivers improvements on wages, workplace protections, a two percent reduction for their health care cap, and other benefits.

Kemps, a subsidiary of Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), is a key part of DFA's Midwest dairy operation. Teamsters at the Farmington facility produce and package popular products like Top the Tater and Kemps cottage cheese.

"This agreement is proof that when workers stay engaged and stick together, they can raise standards for themselves and their families," said Lyndon Johnson, Secretary-Treasurer of Local 471. "Our members remained focused throughout bargaining and secured meaningful improvements that reflect the value they bring to this company every single day. I'm proud to say that they earned everything in this new contract."

In addition to better wages and health care, Teamsters secured a two percent increase in contributions to the Central States Pension Fund. Workers also won a 400 percent increase in the night shift differential, the extra pay provided to employees for hours worked on overnight shifts. More than 70 percent of the bargaining unit will benefit from the increase.

"This contract addresses the issues we identified as priorities from the start of bargaining," said Ryan Just, a worker at Kemps and steward with Local 471. "We stayed united, focused on what mattered most, and got a contract that will make a real difference for us and our families. We're proud of what we accomplished together."

Tree Service Expert Brandon Lindke of Niagara Falls, NY Shares Storm Damage Safety Guidance for HelloNation
Image File
Original HTML

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y., Sept. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- What should Niagara County homeowners do first when storm damage affects their trees? That question is the focus of a HelloNation article featuring Tree Service Expert Brandon Lindke of BL Tree Care, LLC in Niagara Falls, NY. The piece explains how to stay safe, recognize hidden hazards, and know when to call a qualified tree service after severe weather.

The HelloNation feature begins by acknowledging how quickly storms can move through Niagara County and how long their effects can last. Fallen branches, split trunks, and exposed roots can create serious hazards even after the winds die down. The article emphasizes that safety must come first. Homeowners are advised to wait until the storm fully passes before inspecting any damage because weakened trees and unstable soil can shift without warning.

According to the article, familiar trees can behave unpredictably when stressed or damaged. The piece notes that one of the first steps after any storm is to survey the surroundings before approaching. Downed power lines, hanging limbs, and leaning trunks may not be visible from a distance but can still pose immediate danger. This careful observation helps prevent injuries and allows homeowners to spot warning signs that call for a professional assessment.

The HelloNation article highlights several key indicators that a tree might be unsafe. Split trunks, exposed roots, and cracked branches often suggest structural weakness. The article explains that split trunks can extend much deeper than they appear, making the tree unstable even if it seems upright. Exposed roots may mean that the soil has shifted, compromising the base. Both conditions often require expert evaluation to determine whether the tree can recover or must be removed for safety.

One of the most pressing dangers described in the feature is hanging limbs, often called "widowmakers." These heavy, broken branches can fall suddenly and without warning. The article explains that a qualified tree service knows how to secure the area, remove weight safely, and predict how each cut will affect the tree's balance. Without professional help, homeowners risk underestimating the danger or making cuts that cause further damage.

Tree Service Expert Brandon Lindke's approach, as detailed in the HelloNation feature, centers on clear communication and professional assessment. The article notes that a qualified tree service provides homeowners with a structured plan, explaining which hazards require immediate action and which can be addressed later. This transparency helps property owners feel more confident after a stressful event and ensures that every decision is based on accurate information.

Cleanup is another area where the HelloNation piece offers important guidance. Many homeowners try to remove fallen limbs on their own, but the article explains that branches under tension can behave unpredictably. Cutting a branch that is supporting weight can cause it to snap back with significant force. The feature outlines how professional crews use specialized tools and techniques to release pressure safely and avoid injury.

By describing these details, HelloNation helps readers see that storm cleanup is about more than debris removal. It requires awareness of hidden hazards and knowledge of how trees respond to stress. Crews trained in storm recovery understand how to stabilize a damaged canopy, protect nearby structures, and prevent new hazards during the cleanup process. These steps reflect the value of working with a qualified tree service that prioritizes safety and precision.

The article also explains that not every tree can be saved after severe storm damage. In cases where the trunk has split vertically or the root system has shifted significantly, removal may be the only safe option. The HelloNation feature emphasizes that professional crews evaluate each tree carefully and explain their findings to the homeowner. This helps property owners understand why removal is sometimes necessary even when damage is not obvious from the ground.

In Niagara County, weather conditions like heavy winds, ice, and saturated soil can affect trees differently depending on species, age, and health. The HelloNation article notes that timely assessment is essential for preventing further decline. When cracks or leaning trunks go unnoticed, they can worsen over time, increasing the risk of future breakage. Early inspection by a qualified tree service allows homeowners to act before those hazards develop.

The article further highlights how trained professionals approach storm recovery with both caution and care. By identifying structural weaknesses, inspecting exposed roots, and evaluating canopy balance, they determine which trees can recover through pruning and which require removal. This thorough process not only protects property but also supports long term health for the remaining landscape.

Tree Service Expert Brandon Lindke's insights, as presented in the HelloNation article, encourage homeowners to combine patience with informed action. Rather than rushing into cleanup, the article recommends waiting for conditions to settle and then relying on professional assessment to guide the next steps. This balanced approach helps reduce risks and allows many trees to recover naturally.

For homeowners throughout Niagara County, the HelloNation feature serves as a reminder that storm recovery starts with safety and ends with careful decision making. From hanging limbs and split trunks to exposed roots and hidden cracks, the article gives readers the knowledge to recognize when expert help is needed. By calling a qualified tree service early, homeowners protect both their property and the health of their trees.
