Fort Lauderdale – October 27, 2026 -- Villa Vie Residences has suspended operations in Cambodia after monthly fuel expense per cabin rose from a historical average of about $1,800 to an estimated $6,000-$8,000 in parts of Asia, and the company is now evaluating restructuring and recapitalization alternatives.

Fuel costs per cabin have more than tripled in parts of Asia

The company said the increase is too large to pass on to residents. The resulting shortfall has put its current operating model under what it called unsustainable financial pressure.
