MADISON, Wis., Sept. 10, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Everlight Solar has once again earned recognition from Dane County's Climate Champions Program, receiving the designation of 2026 1-Star Champion in the Fleet category. The recognition highlights Everlight Solar's continued efforts to reduce emissions and transition its fleet toward clean energy.
The Dane County Climate Champions Program recognizes local organizations that take meaningful action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and advance sustainability throughout the community. The Fleet category recognizes organizations working to adopt cleaner transportation options and reduce their reliance on fossil fuels.
Everlight Solar's 2026 recognition builds on several years of climate action and sustainability efforts. In 2025, the company earned Climate Champion recognition in the Fleet category after converting 25–50% of its vehicles to clean energy. Today, Everlight Solar operates 14 electric vehicles that support its teams as they travel to job sites, community events, and other locations throughout the region.
The company's commitment to sustainable fleet operations began well before its 2025 recognition. In 2023, Dane County named Everlight Solar an Emerging Climate Champion in Fleet Operations. In 2021, the company earned Climate Champion Catalyst status for helping others in the community take climate action.
"Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond the solar. It shapes how we operate our business every day," said William Creech, President and CEO of Everlight Solar. "We're proud to continue investing in clean-energy transportation and to see our team's efforts recognized by Dane County's Climate Champions Program."
Everlight Solar views its fleet as one part of a broader commitment to environmental responsibility. By incorporating electric vehicles into its operations, the company continues to reduce its environmental impact while supporting customers and communities throughout the region.
As Everlight Solar looks ahead, the company will continue exploring opportunities to expand its clean-energy efforts, reduce emissions, and contribute to a more sustainable Dane County and beyond.
