Frankfurt – November 04, 2026 -- AGF Videoforschung GmbH and The Walt Disney Company are examining whether Disney+ can be integrated into AGF's active audience measurement in Germany, extending a partnership that already covers Disney's linear TV channels.
Disney Channel and National Geographic channels already feed AGF's linear TV data
Disney's linear networks, the Disney Channel and the National Geographic channels, are already part of AGF's linear TV measurement. AGF and Disney Advertising are now assessing the conditions under which the streaming service could join them in active measurement. No timeline or decision has been announced.
Disney Advertising GSA wants Disney+ viewing visible to advertisers
Julia Schörner, Vice President Disney Advertising GSA, said Disney+ reaches a broad German audience with content from brands including Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, Hulu, FX and ESPN. She said Disney wants that usage to be more visible and easier to place in context for the advertising market.
AGF aims for one independent standard across all distribution paths
Kerstin Niederauer-Kopf, chair of AGF's management, said the review follows the rules of the AGF measurement standard. She described it as a step toward more comprehensive moving-image measurement. AGF's stated goal is a common, independent market standard for video across all distribution channels. That requires transparent rules and comparable data that providers, agencies and advertisers can rely on.
