Muscat Stock Exchange Taps IDX to Score Listed Firms' IR Websites

Muscat – November 04, 2026 -- Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) has partnered with IDX, which manages almost 4,000 corporate and investor relations websites worldwide, to benchmark the digital investor communications of its listed companies against global best practice.

IDX will assess every MSX-listed company's website on four criteria

The market-wide review covers how clearly each company presents its equity story, how complete and accessible its investor relations content is, its website structure and user experience, and its readiness for search and AI-driven research platforms.

Companies receive private scored reports; MSX gets a market-level view

Each listed company will get an individual report with a scored assessment and prioritised recommendations. MSX will receive a consolidated report identifying common strengths, gaps and opportunities across the market.

The assessment relies solely on publicly available website content. Each company's findings will be shared only with that company.

MSX frames the program as a response to AI-enabled investor research

MSX Chief Operating Officer Bader Hamood Al Hinai said investor research is shifting toward digital and AI-enabled channels, making accurate, accessible information increasingly important. He described the initiative as part of MSX's broader effort to strengthen transparency and investor engagement and to support the international attractiveness of Oman's capital market.

James Taylor, Head of Middle East at IDX, said a company's own website must be "the most authoritative source" that AI platforms can draw on.

Results will shape further support measures for issuers

The outcomes will give MSX and IDX an evidence base for considering additional initiatives to help listed companies improve their digital investor communications. IDX says the websites it manages receive around 25 billion visits a year and serve listed companies across Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia.
