HashKey Capital, AMBR Partner to Test AI Agents in Finance

HONG KONG – November 04, 2026 -- HashKey Capital and Nasdaq-listed AMBR (Amber International Holding Limited) have formed a strategic partnership to test AI agents across investment research, operational automation and institutional client services. It is the first major partnership AMBR has announced since its business transformation.

AMBR Founder and CEO Michael Wu and HashKey Capital CEO Deng Chao unveiled the deal on stage at the reception Capital Next: Allocation, Reimagined during Hong Kong FinTech Week.

Partners target multi-step task execution in high-velocity markets

The companies plan to explore how task-oriented AI agent architectures can fit core financial workflows. They describe the goal as deep operational integration, with agents executing complex, multi-step tasks rather than serving as an information overlay.

The work will follow three principles from AMBR's own agent development: human oversight, clear boundaries of autonomy, and data that stays under control.

AMBR clients gain access to HashKey Capital products

The two firms are also partnering on products. AMBR's clients will get access to a broader range of HashKey Capital products and services.

HashKey Capital, which says it has invested in more than 400 enterprises since its 2018 founding, describes the deal as its early strategic engagement with AI agent technologies.

CEOs frame Hong Kong as a regulatory testbed for agentic finance

Deng said the financial and digital asset sectors are moving from informational AI to agents that can operate in 24/7, data-dense environments. He added that Hong Kong offers the regulatory and market landscape to set high standards for secure financial technology.

Wu said "AI agents are moving from answering questions to doing real work," and that agents earn trust in finance by knowing the workflow, working within clear limits and staying under human oversight.

Both companies call the announcement a preliminary milestone and plan to share further developments as joint initiatives progress.
