LAS VEGAS – November 03, 2026 -- Players at MGM Springfield can now chase Wheel of Fortune jackpots that reset at values from $200,000 up to $1.125 million, on the first wide-area progressive slots in Massachusetts. IGT and MGM Springfield announced the launch together.
MGM Springfield opens a dedicated zone with 20 Wheel of Fortune games
The casino built a Wheel of Fortune Slots Zone around 20 wide-area progressive (WAP) games from IGT's Wheel of Fortune portfolio. WAP games link slots into one network. Their shared jackpot pool grows as more people play.
MGM Springfield's Vice President of Casino Operations, Ariam Aponte, said the zone gives the casino jackpot opportunities that are new to players in Massachusetts.
Jackpots reset between $200,000 and $1.125 million
The zone mixes new and proven games on IGT's latest cabinets. Highlights include:
- Wheel of Fortune Big Money on the Wheel of Fortune Trio cabinet
- Wheel of Fortune Cash Link Reels Double Diamond and Double Gold on the DiamondRS Wheel cabinet
- Wheel of Fortune Triple Gold Gold Spin on the MegaTower cabinet
- Wheel of Fortune Triple Stars Gold Spin Deluxe on the CrystalWheel Stepper cabinet
Progressive jackpots on these games reset at values from $200,000 to $1.125 million.
Wheel of Fortune slots have paid out more than $3.6 billion since 1996
The launch coincides with the 30th anniversary of Wheel of Fortune Slots. IGT CEO Hector Fernandez said it gives players "a new way to experience Wheel of Fortune Slots."
IGT first launched the slots in 1996. Across more than 300 game variations, they have paid out more than $3.6 billion in jackpots and created more than 1,200 millionaires, according to IGT. The company holds an exclusive licensing agreement with Sony Pictures Television to produce Wheel of Fortune slots games through 2034.
IGT is publishing anniversary updates for Wheel of Fortune Slots on a dedicated web page.
