Dallas – November 03, 2026 -- Dallas-based private equity firm Cordatus Capital has acquired a majority investment in Diamabrush, a Sterling Heights, Michigan, manufacturer of consumable abrasive products for concrete and terrazzo floor preparation, polishing and maintenance. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Co-founder and CEO Mike Sancimino will stay in his role and continue to lead the existing management team.

Cordatus targets product innovation, new markets and acquisitions at Diamabrush

Cordatus plans to accelerate growth through continued product innovation, expansion into new markets, deeper penetration of existing customer relationships and strategic acquisitions. Diamabrush, founded in 2007, serves retail, industrial, commercial and institutional end markets across North America and select global markets.

Patented tools run on customers' existing cleaning equipment

Diamabrush's patented technology lets customers achieve floor performance with existing cleaning equipment. This reduces the need for third-party contractors and traditional maintenance methods. A nationwide technical service team provides hands-on training, ongoing support and maintenance insights.

Cordatus Partner Kevin Lippincott pointed to the company's specialized manufacturing, nationwide technical support and data-driven customer solutions, saying they set it apart "in the floor maintenance industry."

Cordatus focuses on lower-middle-market control investments

Founded in 2012, Cordatus invests mainly in cash-flowing lower-middle-market companies with $25 million to $200 million in revenue. It is currently targeting add-on opportunities in construction materials, packaged gas distribution, metal building manufacturers and metal component suppliers.

Three law and advisory firms handled the transaction

Foley & Lardner LLP served as legal advisor to Cordatus. Lincoln International acted as financial advisor to Diamabrush, and Bass, Berry & Sims PLC served as its legal advisor.
