New Relief Fund Offers Grants to Palm Beach Crash Evacuees

West Palm Beach – November 03, 2026 -- Residents displaced by the November 1 aircraft crash in Palm Beach County, Florida, will be able to apply for direct financial grants from a new relief fund, and the Emergency Assistance Foundation (EAF) is now collecting the donations to pay for them.

The fund covers hundreds of evacuated Green Acres residents

EAF launched the People First Fund for Green Acres Mobile Home Community Learjet Crash after the crash killed all nine people aboard and forced hundreds of residents to evacuate their homes. Families face displacement, limited access to essential belongings and no clear date for returning home.

The fund will assist eligible individuals and families who lived in the community at the time of the incident. The community, also known as Cresthaven Mobile Home Park or Green Acres Mobile Estates, is located at 3033 South Military Trail.

EAF says it has distributed more than $360 million in assistance

EAF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit based in West Palm Beach. It administers more than 350 employer-sponsored relief funds and reports helping more than 436,000 individuals and families, with assistance totaling over $360 million. For its funds, it accepts donations, reviews grant applications and distributes grants.

EAF President Doug Stockham said the organization wants to get financial assistance “directly into the hands of those who need it most.”

Donations will fund grants once applications open

Contributions will support grants that help eligible residents cover qualifying expenses and begin recovery. The grant application process has not opened yet. When it does, eligible residents can apply for help with needs resulting from the incident.
