K1 Speed Signs Multi-Year Deal With 10-Year-Old Karting Star Burgess

Irvine – November 03, 2026 -- K1 Speed, the indoor kart racing operator, has signed a multi-year sponsorship agreement with 10-year-old driver Zayne Burgess, who has won 11 of 16 races in 2026 and is targeting Formula 1.

Burgess posts 15 podiums in 16 races this season

Beyond the 11 wins, Burgess finished second four times. His 2026 titles include the WSK Super Master Series, Trofeo Andrea Margutti and the Italian Championship. He raced in Europe in the Champions of the Future Academy in 2025.

Youngest driver in the top 10 takes second at the IAME World Final

At the IAME World Final in Viterbo, Italy, Burgess entered at short notice with no prior testing in the Mini X30 category and an unfamiliar engine. Against 72 drivers from 39 nationalities, he finished top three in every qualifying heat, including one win. He then took second in the final as the youngest driver in the top 10.

Burgess belongs to the Driver Development Program at TWG Motorsports, the group behind Cadillac's Formula 1 team. He is also an official factory driver for Parolin Motorsport.

K1 Speed gets suit and helmet branding plus promotional access

Under the agreement, Burgess will carry K1 Speed branding on his racing suit and helmet. He will take part in promotional campaigns and driver development initiatives and make appearances at K1 Speed locations.

The company has a personal tie to the driver: Burgess took his first karting lap at a K1 Speed center in Miami at age five. K1 is using the deal to promote its pathway through K1 Speed, K1 Circuit and Champions of the Future America. The pathway is meant to move racers from indoor karting to outdoor competition and the international stage.

CEO and Co-Founder David Danglard called the sponsorship "a commitment to our vision and a source of immense pride."

Burgess will race in K1 colors in the United States for the first time at the SKUSA SuperNationals in Las Vegas, November 10-15.
