Kirkland – November 03, 2026 -- Travelers who book a Staypineapple hotel this November can help fund service dogs for veterans and retired first responders. For Veterans Day, the boutique hotel brand is backing American Humane Society's Pups4Patriots program.
Two booking types trigger the donation
Throughout November, Staypineapple will donate up to $5,000 on behalf of its guests. The donation applies to every Pineapple Pup Package booking and every booking made with military or government rates.
Service dogs go to people living with PTS and TBI
Pups4Patriots places specially trained service dogs with veterans and retired first responders living with post-traumatic stress (PTS) and/or traumatic brain injury (TBI). Recipients pay nothing. The program matches eligible applicants with dogs trained for their specific needs, which removes the financial barrier to getting one.
One veteran describes life with his dog, Nico
Russell, a retired U.S. Army veteran and law enforcement officer, received his service dog, Nico, through the program. Nico has become an important source of support in his life. Russell said the dog "has brought me a renewed sense of living that I was very much struggling to find before meeting him."
Dina Belon, President of Staypineapple, said the company hopes guests will join in by booking a stay this November.
