ORLANDO – November 03, 2026 -- iboss has announced AI DLP, a data loss prevention product that uses AI/ML to read content in real time and block sensitive data without relying on data labels, with private preview scheduled for December 2026.
The product targets data headed to AI platforms and tools, cloud apps and other cloud destinations. iboss says legacy DLP built on regex, pattern matching and labels only finds data that fits a pre-written pattern or carries the right label.
AI DLP classifies mislabeled and unlabeled files by inspecting content
Much leaked data has no fixed format, so rules searching for an account number or ID string let it pass. A file that is mislabeled or never labeled falls outside label-based policy and can leak.
AI DLP applies AI/ML classification and deep content inspection to data in motion. File analysis and OCR read documents and text inside images. Where Microsoft Information Protection labels exist, the product reads and enforces them inline.
Policies by user, group and department cover AI tools and AI agents
Policies can detect, flag or block source code, customer data, PII and intellectual property in real time, with a full audit trail. The same policies apply to AI platforms and tools, so organizations can keep sensitive data out of AI without banning the tools.
They also apply when AI agents move data. Administrators control which AI services, tools and APIs agents may use, and agent activity is retained.
One-click reports cover GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS and SOX
AI DLP adds data-loss risk scoring and one-click reports for the four frameworks, giving auditors evidence of what was found and stopped.
Dedicated containers isolate each customer's traffic
AI DLP runs on the iboss containerized architecture. Each customer's traffic is processed in dedicated containers with isolated SSL keys and dedicated IPs, and customer data is never co-mingled. It works alongside the iboss Secure Web Gateway, CASB, GenAI Protection and Zero Trust Network Access, with one console, one policy engine and one data lake.
"AI DLP reads the content itself in real time, without relying on labels, wherever it is headed," said Paul Martini, CEO and Co-Founder of iboss.
Live demo webinar set for November 5 ahead of December preview
iboss will show AI DLP in a live demo webinar on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 12:00 PM ET. Private preview opens in December 2026.
