Paris – November 03, 2026 -- Stingray demonstrated its Stingray Karaoke app inside the BYD Atto 3 at the Mondial de l'Auto, extending a partnership with the Chinese automaker that began with the product's first vehicle launch in 2022.
The show was dominated by Chinese and German manufacturers, and Stingray says in-cabin user experience has become a new battleground for consumer loyalty.
BYD split its Paris presence into two kiosks and six infotainment display cars
BYD ran one kiosk for its luxury Denza line and another for the Atto vehicles. Software partners animated the infotainment systems across six display cars. Denza was on the brink of its European launch.
Stingray offered a fully licensed catalog of more than 100,000 songs
French-born singer Meli Jane performed tracks from the catalog at the Atto 3 display. Visitors could browse songs in multiple languages, which Stingray calls a key requirement for global OEMs. They also saw dynamic background images matched to song choices and could mute lead vocals.
Joint development has produced a microphone system, gamified scoring and a grey-label audio product
Since the 2022 launch, Stingray and BYD have jointly developed a hardware-software microphone solution using Singing Machine technology. They also built a gamified scoring offering to drive passenger engagement and a grey-label audio product.
The direction was shaped at an April 2024 meeting in Manhattan with BYD Executive Vice President Stella Li and Chief Marketing Officer Jose Miranda. BYD wanted infotainment tailored to specific demographics and a bespoke audio experience to help define luxury brands such as Denza.
Stingray will return to the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas from January 6 to 9, 2026, with a booth and an Aria suite.
