San Antonio – November 03, 2026 -- Frost & Sullivan has named A&D Medical its 2026 Global Company of the Year in home monitoring technologies, citing product innovation, clinical accuracy and connected care delivery.
Cellular blood pressure monitor removes smartphone and Wi-Fi requirements
The Cellular Blood Pressure Monitor (UA-1020CEL) transmits readings automatically through built-in cellular connectivity. Patients need no smartphone, mobile app or Wi-Fi connection. Frost & Sullivan says this lowers technology barriers for certain patient populations and gives providers a simpler way to support more diverse patient groups.
The device captures three consecutive readings through programmable averaging and calculates an averaged result that aligns with clinical guidelines, according to Frost & Sullivan Industry Analyst Utkarsha Soundankar. It also includes irregular heartbeat detection to support remote patient monitoring.
Direct Connect targets integration complexity for healthcare organizations
A&D Medical has also launched Direct Connect, a blood pressure monitor that transfers readings to clinical platforms supporting the generic health sensor profile. Frost & Sullivan describes the profile as an emerging interoperability standard that will reduce integration complexity for organizations managing diverse device ecosystems.
Local support teams back large-scale remote monitoring rollouts
A&D Medical draws on nearly five decades of measurement technology experience. Its portfolio spans blood pressure monitors, weight scales and other health measurement devices for consumers and healthcare professionals. Local technical, product and customer service resources help healthcare organizations set up and run large-scale remote patient monitoring programs.
Brad Wiltz, Chief Commercial Officer at A&D Medical, said the company is focused on making connected health monitoring "simpler, more reliable, and easier to scale" and on fitting into customers' existing workflows.
