bQuest Launches Longevity Framework for Financial Advisors

Denver – November 03, 2026 -- bQuest has launched a Longevity Planning Framework that gives registered investment advisors (RIAs) and wealth management firms a four-step process for bringing aging and care coordination into financial planning, aimed at a gap Mayo Clinic research puts at 12.4 years for Americans.

That figure is the average time Americans spend living with illness or disability. It is the largest healthspan-lifespan gap among the 183 countries studied. bQuest argues that most financial plans model how long a client may live, but far fewer model housing, caregiving and care coordination decisions that can reshape a plan.

Demographic and cost data drive the demand case

By 2030, more than one in five Americans will be 65 or older, and 93% of adults in that age group report at least one chronic condition, according to CDC survey data cited by bQuest. Fidelity's 2026 Retiree Health Care Cost Estimate puts expected lifetime healthcare costs at roughly $185,500 for a single 65-year-old and $371,000 for a couple. Those totals exclude most dental care and any custodial long-term care.

The wealth-transfer data adds a retention risk for advisors. Cerulli Associates projects $124 trillion in wealth will move through 2048 and has found that more than 70% of heirs are likely to change advisors after an inheritance.

Four-step workflow runs inside existing client meetings

The framework is designed to fit the review meetings and planning processes firms already use:

  • Introduce: The advisor presents longevity planning as an extension of holistic wealth management and adds it to the meeting agenda.
  • Assess: The client completes the Longevity Readiness Assessment, a brief online test covering five pillars: Health; Home & Community; Family & Support; Legal & Legacy; and Financial. The client receives a readiness score and a personalized action plan.
  • Plan: With the client's permission, results go to the advisor through the bQuest dashboard. Together they review the Longevity Readiness Profile, set priorities and fold the findings into the financial plan.
  • Activate: bQuest connects clients and families with vetted specialists, care coordination services and educational resources.

"The advisor guides the planning, and bQuest powers the process," said Lauren Clough, CEO and co-founder of bQuest.

Platform adds AI matching, concierge service and a cost calculator

The bQuest Care Navigator is an AI-powered tool that lets clients describe their situation in their own words. It points them to vetted aging-care providers and next steps. Clients choose whom to contact, and providers see client details only if the client reaches out.

The bQuest Care Concierge offers one-on-one consultations with aging-care experts for families with complex or urgent needs. The platform also provides connections to local Aging Life Care Managers. Its Cost Calculator estimates long-term care costs by location and type of care, so advisors can update plans with more realistic expense assumptions. A Resource Hub carries articles, podcasts and webinars, many sourced from bQuest's vetted providers.

bQuest has also published a companion white paper, "The Longevity Imperative." It examines the demographic, financial and business management case for longevity planning in the RIA industry.
