Zurich/Hamburg – November 03, 2026 -- Three Dallmayr coffees are now available for the CoffeeB system: Crema d'Oro, Crema d'Oro Intensa and Espresso d'Oro. Each pack holds nine Coffee Balls for nine cups and has a recommended retail price of 3.99 euros.
Coffee Balls replace the capsule with a plant-based coating
CoffeeB describes itself as the world's first capsule system without a capsule. Each Coffee Ball is a small portion of pressed, freshly roasted coffee. The Dallmayr versions are pure roasted coffee wrapped in a plant-based protective layer that contains no aluminum and no plastic. After use, the balls are fully compostable. The brand sums it up as 0% aluminum, 0% plastic, 100% enjoyment.
The system relies on a purpose-built brewing technology developed for the Coffee Balls. CoffeeB launched in 2022 under Delica AG, a subsidiary of the Swiss retailer Migros.
Three blends span intensity levels from 6 to 9 out of 10
All three coffees are balanced Arabica-Robusta blends made exclusively for the CoffeeB system.
- Crema d'Oro: Intensity 6/10, mild and aromatic, described as velvety with a delicate crema.
- Crema d'Oro Intensa: Intensity 8/10, with pronounced roast notes and a strong, aromatic, intense character.
- Espresso d'Oro: Intensity 9/10, strong and full-bodied, described as intense and aromatic.
EDEKA, Marktkauf and Netto stock the new Dallmayr balls
The CoffeeB Dallmayr Coffee Balls are sold at EDEKA, Marktkauf and Netto Marken-Discount. Availability of individual varieties can vary by store. Netto Marken-Discount carries Crema d'Oro and Espresso d'Oro.
Frank Wilde, Head of CoffeeB, says Dallmayr is a renowned partner known for top coffee quality. In his view, the collaboration shows that the capsule-free system is increasingly attractive as a platform for established coffee brands.
